So I want to share with you 19 lessons I've learned hitting 1.1 million followers on social media, but 10x-ing the size of that following, because it took me something like 7 years to build up half a million followers and just another 9 months to hit 1.1 million followers. So I'm sharing with you right here, right now, the 19 lessons I've learned along that journey. Now I'm a bit old school, so I haven't hacked virality by being a celebrity or an influencer or an OnlyFans or anything like that. I'm not a kid YouTuber, toy unboxer. I'm just an old school entrepreneur. And so I'm going to share with you now some hacks and tools and tricks along the way. I'm actually live on my 10x Your Following Social Media Challenge. So, um, we're on day 1 of 5 days. We're doing about 14 hours of content over about, hmm, something like 9 modules. And this is module 3 of 9. So we already, already covered setting up your social media accounts, the big 3 levels, 1, 2, and 3, the big 6 social media channels on level 1, about 10 on level 2, and about 12 on level 3. We covered, um, following influencers, joining Facebook groups, and getting yourself already in the creator economy. And we covered some tips on, um, growth hacking, engagement hacking, and also content from my head of brand who manages my account manager. So I have an account manager on Facebook and Instagram and LinkedIn, um, and also on TikTok. and we have two weekly meetings, sometimes monthly meetings with them, and they give us the new updates, the new hacks. And he shared plenty of those, um, on the video too. Session 2, we're now on session 3. Um, so if anyone wants to join on the 10x Your Following Social Media Challenge that's not already, the link is rob.team. I've pinned it to the top of the Clubhouse room. Um, you can join for the cost of a cup of coffee per month instead of paying £300 to £500 for this course when it's recorded and I launch it in early 2022. If you're on the Instagram Live at any time, if, if we go through the content, you think, yeah, you know what, this is pretty good, I'm getting some good value out of this, you can just go to rob.team and you can join in on the challenge through my members area. It will only cost you the cost of one cup of coffee per month. I've had two of them today and I've had 62 over the last 30 days. Medium skinny cappuccino extra shot is £3.60. Joining my members platform and getting in on this 5-day, 14-hour, 9-module 10x Your Social Media Following Challenge, that will only cost you £3.49 a month. Anyway, I want to crack on now and give you the content. So number 1: accept, engage, and enjoy the critics. Number 2, it's not hard to post consistently, so get consistent. Number 3, commit to 1 year of consistency on social media. Number 4, interviews and collaborations. By the way, don't mind it, don't worry, I'm going to go back through these and detail them a bit more. But number 4 is interviews and collaborations. Number 5 is you have to be prepared to to fail. Number 6 is you've got to check your analytics regularly. Number 7 is watch time is vital across all channels. Number 8 is repurposing content. Number 9 is engaging in the comments. Number 10 is knowing your outcome. Number 11 is entertaining as well as informing. Number 12 is my 70-20-10 rule. Number 13 is following the top influencers and creators. Number 14 is going live whenever you can. Number 15 is when you hit a certain watch time or number of metrics, unlocking all the monetization features. Number 16, anytime a new platform comes out, you've got to jump on it early, and I'll reveal what a load of those new platforms are in a moment. Number 17, research trends, hashtags, and high-volume keywords. Number 18, react fast to changes in the social media landscape and the algorithms. And number 19, build your own subscription platform, or at least have subscription revenue. So they're the 19 lessons that I've learned hitting 1.1 million social media followers, 600,000 of them in the last 10 months. Here we go. Let me detail each one for you. Practically and tactically so you can implement. Right, accept, engage, and enjoy the critics. There's 2 reasons why you should embrace the haters, dance with the critics, tease and have banter with the wankers. And the reasons are: number 1, if you don't, you'll never go live. If you're scared of having a critic, you will never even start, or your content will be vanilla, or you won't engage in the comments, or you'll doubt yourself. Or you'll always just change your content according to what you think people like, and it just won't be interesting. Or you'll just go and hide, or you'll make an excuse and you'll go and do something else. Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm. So part of embracing and engaging with the critics, trolls, haters, punks, and wankers is knowing that if you can transcend criticism, you can put whatever content out you want. So I'm trying to go live on Wisdom, Clubhouse, Facebook, Instagram, and do the live challenge for the 10x your social media following. And the first 15 minutes were spent with technical issues. And if I was worried about a bit of criticism, I wouldn't even do the challenge. I'd go to bed and hope my wife will cuddle me and tickle my testicles, which she probably won't because it's not my birthday, and I will not get out there on social media. Sorry if that's too much information. However, I have transcended giving a fuck what people think about me. I'd like them to like me, but if you don't like me, at least be my critic. Because if you're my critic, you engage in the comments, you'll argue with me and my fans, my fans will defend me, there'll be big subthreads. The algorithms love my haters, by the way. The algorithms love my critics. Because they're the ones that create all the comments and all the engagement, and they're the ones that give me the virality. Now, sometimes your critics have actually got useful content. They've got information that can be valuable to you. Their feedback is important. But sometimes haters and trolls, they're just hurt people. They don't know you. You just caught them on a bad day. So if you don't really like having critics, send them all to me. I want more of them. I need more haters. If you want to be a millionaire, you probably need 10,000 haters. If you want to be a billionaire, you probably need a million haters. If you want to be a great creator going viral, you need way more critics, trolls, and haters. So it's a mindset thing to make sure that the content that you put out there is strong. It's not weak and vanilla. You share your opinion. You don't sit on the fence. You put your flag in the ground. You have a strong opinion. You go on a rant. You You put solid content out there. You don't mince your words. You're clear. You have a dividing, a polarizing viewpoint. This is all really good content on social media, but also they're fucking good for your algorithms. There's nothing worse than going live and there being no comments. So when you get a bit of criticism, get involved, get more comments. So number one, Accept, engage, and enjoy the critics, the trolls, the haters, the punks, and the wankers, because they give you great virality. They help you grow. Number 2: it's not hard to post consistently. You've convinced yourself it is. It is not. It is not hard at all to post consistently. 30 minutes a day on 2 to 3 channels in a year could mean you hit 100,000 followers from scratch, or 500,000 followers from 100,000 followers. Or you do what I did and you go from half a a million followers to 1.1 million followers. You more than double in 9 months. And you know what, I have not performed any magic in the last 11 months. All right, some posts have gone viral, some things have worked, many things have failed. Um, there's something wrong with the Facebook Live. I don't know why, but it's not sending my video out, so I'm just here talking to myself on my Facebook Live. But fuck it, we'll carry on carrying on. But you just keep going. Start now, get perfect later. 15 to 30 minutes content every day, you'll improve, you'll improve, you'll improve, you'll improve. There'll be weeks where nothing much happens, and then bang, you'll have a viral video and it will do really well. And all of a sudden, people will start reaching out to you for collabs. Your algorithm will open up. All of your other content will get a lot more reach, and you'll be like, yeah, this is worth it. You wouldn't plant a seed and come back the next day and go, Rob, Where's my fucking tree? You scammed me, you ripped me off, you conned me, you said I'd have a tree in a day, bastard! No, you wouldn't, you'd let the thing grow. A tree grows at the speed that a tree grows, and you can jump up and down like the Tasmanian Devil, come on, you fucking tree, this tree ain't fucking working. Nothing's gonna happen, but you just have to keep on keeping on. And so I committed when I started TikTok at the start of the end. I'm like, what the fuck is a 42-year-old man on TikTok for? I hated myself for going on TikTok. Am I having a midlife crisis? Who the fuck am I? Existentially fucked. Yeah, but you know what I thought? I'm playing the game because these young teenagers and 20-year-olds aren't kicking my ass. Fuck you, I'm in. So I just went live every day and did one video a day on TikTok, not having a freaking clue what I was doing. For 6 months in boring, not many views, talking to a black hole chasm. Look at me, whoa, the great influencer. And then bang, I had a video that hit 1.3 million views, and then another one 1.7, and then one 3.7 million views. Boom, we're cooking on gas, and now we're viral. And in the last 3 months, I've grown over 100,000 followers on TikTok, just in the last 3 months. It popped. It finally popped like I was told it was gonna pop. So it's not hard to be consistent. Don't be a little whiner. Get 15 to 30 minutes every day and go live or create content. Just put it in your diary. If you were gonna have sex with the most beautiful person in the world, you'd make 30 minutes in your diary to do that. If someone was gonna come over your house and pay you a million quid in a 30-minute compartmentalized session, you'd book it in every day. You tell everyone to piss off. Sorry, collecting the money. So why aren't you putting 30 minutes of content a day on social media? Because you don't yet see the benefit of it. You've not made it important enough to yourself. Well, I'm here to tell you it's worth it. I make hundreds of thousands of pounds a month from social media, much of that organic and much of that from my own personal brand. So get consistent and stick content on all channels. We'll come to that. We'll come to that on repurposing, or multi-streaming. Okay, number 3 then: you've got to commit to a year per channel. If you're going to do TikToks, do them for a year. If you're going to go on Clubhouse, do it for a year. If you're going to go live on a channel, do it for a year, because you cut— you don't plant the seed and expect the tree the next day. So that's linked to number 2, that it's not hard to post every day consistently. But number 3, when I started committing to a year instead of just going 'Oh, well, I'll try Instagram and see how it goes.' 'Oh, I went live and no one was on it, not even my mum.' 'Even my mum said she was going to come on it and she didn't come on it.' 'I'm not doing Instagram Lives anymore, they don't fucking work.' That's the attitude most people have to social media. And you know what? I'm on Wisdom and I've got 12 people on. Look at me, living the dream, massive influencer. But you know what? Wisdom's new. I've got thousands of supporters and subscribers, and yet I've probably not even got 50 on the live. Not my problem, I'm doing the live. So you just crack on and you do your content regardless of the result. You keep trying to improve it, and man, it'll happen for you. Okay, number 4 of 19. Holy shit, we're gonna be here all night. Don't worry, the ones that don't need detailing, I won't. Interviews and collaborations. I interviewed Jordan Peterson. I gained 35,000 new followers on TikTok, on, um, YouTube, just from my interview with Jordan Peterson. I interviewed Ollie Ollerton. Most people don't even know who he is. I gained something like, hmm, 40,000 followers on TikTok from one 15-second excerpt of an interview I did with Ollie Ollerton. So between Ollie Ollerton and Jordan Peterson and David Icke and Katie Hopkins I've gained more than 120,000 of my 1.1 million followers. 4 guests, 12 to 15% of my entire following over the last 5 years. That's the power of interviews and collabs. I know that when I interviewed Floyd Mayweather twice, I've got tens of thousands of followers from that on TikTok and YouTube. So interviews and collaborations are great because there's zillions of people who do interviews and collaborations with you, literally zillions. And you can collab with people on your level or a bit below or a bit above, or you can go and punch above your weight like I did with my wife and go and go for the big one. That's all, that also works. I know people who've just started podcasts and lives who've bagged massive guests, get bigger guests than some of the guests that I've, um, got. Been doing podcasting 6 years. So interviews and collabs are where it's at. You can do collabs on Um, TikTok, you can have 3 people on a live. You can do collabs on Facebook, you can have 2 people on a live. You can have 4 people on a live on Instagram. You can bring people up as guests in your wisdom room. You can have a collaboration squad and bring people up onto the stage and run rooms on Clubhouse. 5 different ways to collab. Don't do all the heavy lifting yourself. Leverage the traits of the greats. Leverage the following of other people. So myself and Diamond here are the moderators. We're leveraging each other's content, we're leveraging each other's following. Now if this wasn't part of my 10x Your Social Media Following Challenge where I have to deliver the content, I'd be doing split-screen lives, bringing people up, getting conversations, doing a collaborative, um, content session. And we normally do in our Clubhouse rooms. Now the great thing about interviews and collaborations is you reach their audience that you wouldn't normally reach. And you leverage their content. All you have to do is come up with some questions. Did you notice when I had a tech issue at the start, I was like, ah, um, Diamond, will you share a few tips? Diamond comes in, shares a few tips. There's a bit of a collaboration going on there while all my tech is going to shit. All right, number 5: you have to be prepared to fail. The only way you win is by being prepared to lose. If you want to gain everything, you need to be prepared to lose everything. So if you want to win on social media, you have to be prepared for tech issues, your phone fucking up, the internet fucking up. I was speaking at a livestream global summit. I was one of the main speakers. There was 50,000 people registered. And you know where my fucking internet cut out? Right at the point as I started my pitch. Holy shit, 50,000 people registered, Rob's gonna do millions, fucking living the dream. Bang! My internet goes down. My internet never goes down. Internet goes down. Fuck! So I run down the— I've got a 4-story house. I run down to the bottom, unplug the fucking router, shake it around, plug it back in, pray to it, do a rain dance. Come on. Get back on the stage, finish my pitch. Now I tried to go live on this challenge. 15 minutes of issues on— for some reason the Facebook Live's not working properly. It's not reaching anyone. There's something wrong with that. There was something wrong with the TikTok. Shit, fuck. Anyway, you just crack on. You don't take yourself too seriously. You make some mistakes. You push through the tech issues. You push through the fact that you've not got many people on your lives and it's not really cracking off, and you think like you're talking to yourself and you're going insane. But you know what? People like it when you don't take yourself too seriously. They like you, and you'll end up pushing through and you'll figure stuff out. By the way, sometimes when things go wrong, it ends up being better. I'm here live to my members of my, um, Rob.team platform, and we are doing a 10x your social media following challenge, and I'm showing them live how to multi-stream live as a demo, and I'm fucking up in front of my clients. But I'm still getting by. So those of you on my challenge, thanks very much. I hope you think at least it's entertainment value for £3.49. All right, next then, because by the way, a lot of people worry, what if the tech goes down? What if I'm trying to multi-stream live and something goes wrong? What if they don't like my content? Well, do you know what? Shit happens all the time. Crack on, get over yourself. You've got to be prepared to fail on social to win on social media. Now, by the way, they used to say, oh Rob, it's quality over quantity. Not anymore. Not on social media. If you spend weeks planning and editing a video and then you get no reach, which will probably happen, you're gonna hate yourself and it's not gonna be worth the time. On social media now, quantity is as important as quality. Why? Because through quantity you test, you measure, you tweak, and you improve. You figure out the algorithms, the times of day, you figure out the titles, the length of content, etc. So actually, quality gives you more reach, more impact, more revenue, more monetization, and more opportunities to test. Start now, get perfect later. Oh, and by the way, I now earn on virtually every video I do. Now, at the moment, I'm not earning on Clubhouse because Clubhouse need a slap. Come on, Clubhouse, you're losing. You need to give us some monetization tools, please. Wisdom, as of yet, is new, so they give us a few little tokens. Don't really know what they mean, can't really redeem them into anything. So take those two aside, but Facebook Lives, I get anywhere from, I don't know, A good video will get me between $600 and $1,600 in revenue, just the one video. Then I have thousands of supporters, which is tens of thousands of pounds a month in revenue. Instagram badges, YouTube ads, podcast ads. I've just done a six-figure sponsorship deal. I've just agreed it today. Six figures over six months. They're paying me up front. So I earn pretty much on every channel now, and the more content I do, the more I earn. So you don't have to be perfect. It's like if someone's a really good artist, the more art they do, the more art they can sell. So social media actually rewards volume now. It is now quantity. I wouldn't say quantity over quality because you still want to have good quality, but quantity counts. Okay, number 6, you've got to look at the analytics. Go in the Creator Studio, check your TikTok and your Facebook and your Instagram analytics. Are you checking your analytics? Are you looking at your average watch time? Are you looking at the peaks and the troughs and the drop-offs on your analytics? They all want you to have long watch time. More watch time, more virality, more shares, and the algorithm will let you go and send you out to the millions. Go on, Rob Moore, you've earned it. Out you go to the millions. But you need to have good long watch time. So check your analytics and work out your average watch time and try and get that watch time up. Throw some seeds of some content coming up. Drop a little couple of Easter eggs in the background of your content. Having completion, so they've got to watch or listen to complete the 5 ways to hack virality and to get the lessons they need to stay until the end, or Tease them and offer them a bonus for staying to the end. But lots of little hacks to get people to stay to the end. And by the way, if you all stay to the end of this piece of content, then I will give you access to something that I think you're gonna love, which is worth a good few hundred dollars. Okay, so 6 and 7 are analytics and watch times. For me, the main thing in analytics is the title. The title is vital. Bad title, you won't even get any engagement to start with. So you've got to find good, engaging, controversial, polarizing, attention-grabbing titles. It's probably one of the most important things. Then you've probably got to look at watch time, you've probably got to look at drop-off, you've probably got to look at time of day that you go live, etc. And over time you'll figure shit out. and you'll be more effective, more efficient, and therefore you'll get more views, more shares, more engagement, more comments. Okay, number 8 is repurposing content. So, um, those of you that have followed me for a while know that this is something that I do a lot of. So I'm currently live on Wisdom Clubhouse, Facebook, Instagram, and live to my 10x Your Social Media Following Rob Moore team members. I'm live on 5 channels. I wanted to do one at least demo for my Rob.team members, for them to see me going live on multiple channels, just to show you that it's not as hard as you think it is. And I'm actually really glad you saw me for the first 14 minutes trying to set it up, trying to do a tech, a tech test, trying to message all my members in WhatsApp to get them to come and join, starting the Facebook Live, stopping the Facebook Live, starting the Clubhouse room, stopping the Clubhouse room. And finally, after 15 minutes of fuckery, I managed to be live. So you can see it live, but now I'm actually live streaming on 5 channels. So this is content repurposing at its best. It means you reach more people on the same amount of time. It means you can offer more value to more people. It means that you can gain more followers. Um, it's just a great leverage of time. Now you either do it by going live on multiple channels, or you create a piece of content and then you record it and then you share it on multiple channels. Either way. So I could go live on Facebook, I could extract the Facebook Live, I've got the Facebook Live, but then I've also got the recording. And then that recording I can post up onto Instagram Reels, excerpts for TikTok. LinkedIn, Facebook groups, YouTube, my podcast, the audio, etc. So multi-stream living and content repurposing are the way for you to hack virality. They're the way for you to go from one channel to multi-channel, from 10 people to 1,000 people. Thanks for the kind comments. Julian Smith has said he's loving it. Thank you, Julian. All right, number 9, you've got to engage in the comments. So notice I just shouted out Julian there. We've got ECMD who's just joining the stage. I've got, um, Lydia Smale who's just joined on Instagram. So shouting people out in your content, engaging in the comments, replying to the comments, having your people feel like they're not just a follower but they're part of your community and they're valued by you— you will get more reach, more engagement, more virality and more followers. I was told by my account managers the first 30 minutes to 2 hours when a piece of content goes live, the amount of comments is a big part of the algorithm that pushes out the reach. So if you go in and reply to people, I'm told you want to be sort of 7 words or more, not just yeah, boom, thanks, fuck, shit, yeah. All these one-word replies you see all over Instagram, they're useless. It's just vanity. Needs to be 5, 6, 7 words, ideally a question, and with an emoji on the end. And by the way, I've asked this to my Instagram, my Facebook, and my TikTok account managers, and they've given me the specifics. Minimum 7 words, because all of my account managers have said to me, Rob, if it looks like a bot and it talks like a bot and it sounds and smells like a bot, if it fucks like a bot, it's a bot. So if you just go, yeah, thanks, yeah, cheers, yeah, copy paste, yeah, the algorithms are going to think it's a bot and it's going to reduce your reach. So it needs to think you're a human. So you go in and you comment like a human. And in the first 30 to 60 to 90 minutes, um, of my content when I put it live, after it's live, I'll get in the comments and I'll smash out some debate. I will ask my critics to explain what they mean by fuck off, you twat. I'll ask them to share some research on their controversial opinions. I'll thank them for their feedback, and I'll goad them and tease them, and I'll draw comments out of them, and it helps your virality. You can also get a VA to do that for you, but don't tell anyone it's a VA. Okay, number 10, you've got to know your outcome. So my question to you is this, my friends: do you want to build your following, attract ideal clients, monetize directly from social media, or do you want to generate leads and clients for your business? Because there's 4 main outcomes of social media. Number 1, you want to build your following, you're growth hacking, which means you do loads of newsjacking, you do loads of controversial stuff, you do loads of engagement and share hacking because you want growth, but you're probably not going to get your ideal audience. But that might not be your goal. The number 2 thing is attract an ideal client. And if you want to attract an ideal client, get a really clear niche and just keep pumping out content on your niche. Speak to your avatar, your ideal client. Maybe you want to monetize. So if you want to monetize, you want to grow your following as quick as you can And then once you've built up your following, then you're going to turn on all the monetization tools and features. If you want to be a creator, an influencer, you want sponsorships and brands and collaborations and you want ads and stuff like that, then again, it drives how you, um, generate content. So I'll interview some guests that are a little bit off brand. They're not quite on brand for the Disruptive Entrepreneur, but I'll interview them because I know they'll get me 20,000 followers. I'll know I can earn 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 grand in 5 days on their video interview. So sometimes I go a bit out of my ideal niche because I want to monetize social media, because why not? If I'm gonna talk, I might as well earn money for it. Why not? Why shouldn't you? Being a creator is legitimate now. Being an artist 30 years ago— what, are you an artist? You're a waste of time. Good luck making money while you're alive. You won't. You might make money when you're dead, but that'll be too late. But now Facebook have just dumped $1 billion into their Creator Fund. LinkedIn have just launched their creator platform. They're, um, they've got a Creator Fund. They're backing and investing in creators. So do you want to build your following, attract ideal clients, monetize directly, or generate leads and clients? If you want to monetize your following directly, if you want to leverage the 18 different ways of monetizing social media up front, if you want to turn on all the monetization tools as quickly as possible, if you want multiple streams of recurring income from your content into cash flow on social media, then I thoroughly recommend right now that you join my members area at rob.team. The link is rob.team. Now, those of you that are on the challenge, you're already a member, so you don't have to go and join twice. Those of you that are on live on Facebook, you're already a member, so you don't have to go and join twice. Don't pay me £7 instead of £3.49. It might make you bust, it might make me a billionaire. But in all seriousness, for just the cost of one cup of coffee per month, I have 62 in a month. And just for the cost of one of them a month, £3.49, not even $5, you can jump in on my 10x Your Following Social Media Challenge, of which this is video 3 of 9. We're at about hour 4 of 14 on the challenge, and I thought I'd do it live on Clubhouse and Wisdom and Instagram just to have a little bit of fun and see if doing challenge content live actually works. You might all tell me, nah, Rob, doesn't work, and I might not do it again. Or you might think, you know what, it's good to get involved and see what the content is like in a challenge. So if you go right now to rob.team, the link is there on Instagram. I can see some people have just joined. STEM Storytellers just joined there. I can see the Days Grimms just joined on Instagram. I can see— so if you go to the link rob.team, I've pinned it to the top on the Clubhouse room to make it really easy for you. Just click the link and go join right now while I'm talking and then come back. And if you do it, not only will you gain access to all my members' benefits— 10 pieces of premium content on being an entrepreneur, sales, marketing, personal brand, monetizing social media, you know, financial education— that's my vibe. You're going to get 10 pieces of premium content a month on that. You're going to get 2 deep dive live masterclasses with me and a special multi-millionaire guest a month on that. You're going to get 2 ask me anything lives with me a month. On that. You're going to get access to my Make Cash Challenge on that, and I do about 3 of those a year. You're going to gain access to the Recurring Income Summit 2-day event and the Mindset and Money 1-day event, and all of that for just £3.49 a month. Holy shit, that's the cost of a cup of coffee. But the best news, and why you want to do this right now, is if you join right now at rob.team— and Kiwi in Property has just said she's a member and it's really good. And thank you. So if you join right now at rob.team, the link is at the top on Clubhouse, then, um, you're going to get my 14-hour 10x Your Social Media Following course that I will be selling in 2022 for between $300 and $500. But you're going to get it completely for free right now when you join at rob.team. R-O-B dot T-E-A-M. And you're going to get it live because you're going to be in on it, every module live while I'm doing it as a challenge, which I'm doing it now. So if you've enjoyed my first 10 of 19 ways to hack social media growth in the last, what, 40 minutes I've been sharing this content, imagine 14 hours of this kind of depth of content. So join rob.team right now and it's all yours for just the cost of a cup of coffee, but do it now. Okay, let me carry on. So what have we got next? I'm on number 11. So just to put you in the picture, I'm sharing 19 different things I've learned 10x-ing my social media following in the last 9 or 10 months. Took me 7 bloody years of hard graft to get half a million followers old school, and in the last, what, something like 10 months, I've more than doubled it to 1.1 million, and I'm sharing with you the 19 things I sat down and pondered and contemplated. What would I do differently if I could go back 8 years and say to Rob Moore, just starting on social media, has hardly even grown a beard, looks so young and fresh? What would I say to him to get to a million followers in a year instead of a million followers in 8 years, of which half of them were in the last 9 months? What would I do differently? What would I do better? So I've already covered accept, engage, and enjoy the critics. I've already covered being consistent 15 to 30 minutes a day. I've already covered commit to 1 year per channel every day. I've already covered interviews and collaborations and being prepared to fail and looking at your analytics regularly and looking at your watch time and increasing it and repurposing content from 1 channel to multiple like I do and engaging in the comments and knowing your outcome. Whether it's building your following, attracting ideal clients, monetizing directly, or generating leads and clients. So now I'm gonna do the remaining 9. Here we go. Number 11. This used to really piss me off. So I've spent 15 years grafting to be a legitimate entrepreneur. 1,440 tenants across hundreds of property units and multiple property companies. I've just developed a 99-apartment, 159-tenant block. My property portfolio is worth tens of millions of pounds. I make millions of pounds a year from it. Yet for 7 years, I was nothing on social media. I've written 18 books, done 1,000 podcast episodes, thousands of lives and pieces of content. And then these freaking kids on YouTube who unbox toys and do pranks and tricks and fuck about and have a laugh, get millions of followers. Little bastards. But I learned to join them. If you can't beat them, join them. So a massive lesson I've had in social media is entertainment is way more viral than information. Now this is hardcore information I'm giving you here, but I am trying to have a little bit of fun as well. But at the very least, if you've got information, try and make it entertaining information. That's called edutainment— educating and entertaining. Edutainment. At the very least, if you're gonna do, um, information and education, make it edutaining. Or every now and again, have a good crack, mess around, do some pranks, do some cool funny shit. It'll be the stuff that makes you go viral. Entertainment is more viral than information, and in the world right now, COVID lockdown 78.60. Oh, wear a mask. Oh, did you breathe? Oh, you're gonna get taxed on that. Oh, did you just have a thought? We'll give you a thought tax on that. The world's a bit fucked, so people want to be entertained. They want escapism. Ah, fuck the world, escape me. Rob's doing something stupid on social media. Yeah, I'd rather watch that than BBC News. So entertainment is the great escapism right now. I didn't take it seriously enough. If I took entertainment seriously when I was 26, when I started my business, I'd have 10 million or more followers by now. I was too hardcore on information. Okay, number 12, my 70-20-10 rule of content. Maybe you get overwhelmed with content. Maybe you're like, oh man, what, what do I post? When do I post? How much do I post? What sort of content should I post? What do I post, post, post? Okay, so 70% of your content should be on your niche or brand, and that can be personal as well as business. So my niche and brand is start and scale up entrepreneurship, business and money, sales and marketing, content creation, multiple streams of income, recurring revenue, getting a better financial education. You know, I rant and moan about things that are against entrepreneurs, against people who want to tax the rich. I'm ranting about the government, save the small business. This is all my kind of vibe, and that should be 70% of my content. Then 20% of your content should be newsjacking. So I'm actually going to do a whole module on the 10x Your Following Social Media Challenge purely on newsjacking. So newsjacking is where something kicks off in the media, you do a piece of content on it like a big surf, you ride that wave for as long as you can. The bigger the wave, the better the surf. The more crazy the news on, you know, the announcements or the updates or something that goes on in the media, the more leverage you have. Because information is energy, it's energy exchange. And when there's controversial or mainstream media news, it's a bigger mass of energy, and so it's more for you to leverage. So in the UK, they had this thing called the NHS Track and Trace app. And they spent $4 fucking billion on this, of my hard-earned tax-paid money. I— do you know what? I just paid £260,000 tax bill yesterday, and that ain't just for the year, by the way. That's just one of them bastards. And they spent that money on a $4 billion app that didn't fucking work. And in August, when we were supposed to come out of the lockdown and finally we could do business— oh, hallelujah! Hallelujah, praise the Lord, we can work. This app fucking goes off in my office, pings everyone, and everyone's self-isolating for 10 days and they haven't even got COVID. The app was fucked and it ruined my August. So I went online and I fucking ranted about this app, and everyone was pissed off about this app, and it was in the mainstream media, and I got a million views in 3 or 4 days. So newsjacking— jump on the news, the energy, put your slant on it. Report it and then put your slant on it. That's the shit that will make you go viral. Now, by the way, on Facebook, I get paid— I get ads fed into my live. So every time I do a Newsjacking rant and I get 200,000, 500,000, or a million views, I'm getting paid $500, $1,000, $1,500, $2,000, $5,000 per video. So get this for fun, I am getting paid thousands of pounds per video on Facebook. To go onto the BBC News website, look at the most controversial news, report the most controversial news, and then put my opinion on the most controversial news. How fucking sweet is that? You couldn't do that 5 years ago. So 20% of your content needs to be newsjacking. I'm going to do a whole section on it in the members area at rob.team on the 10x Your Social Media Following Challenge. The link is at the top on Clubhouse. If you haven't got off your ass and joined, what are you waiting for? Are you waiting for a sign? This is the sign, okay? And then 10% of your content should be selling. Some people aren't selling on social media, so they're giving their whole entire life and soul and information away, and they're not even selling. And then other people, hi, I'm Rob, sell, hi, I'm Rob, sell, hi, I'm Rob, sell, and they're selling too much. So 70% of your content on brand, on niche, on message, on mission. 20% here content news jacking, engagement jacking, and 10% of your content pitching. So really good division of content creation. All right, number 13, this is a nice quick one. Follow all the top influencers in your space and comment on their content. Now Dave Ramsey, Robert Kiyosaki, people like that, they've got millions of followers in my niche and I go and comment on their stuff. Dave Ramsey says don't buy a car until you've got a million pound net worth. And buy it cash. That's fucking stupid advice. So I said it politely in the British way, but I went and disagreed with that. Bang! Thousands of likes, thousands of hates, thousands of comments, thousands of followers. So when you go and follow all the other influencers and you engage with them, you get their audience. They come follow you. You get engagement. Facebook actually give you more reach if you comment as well as if you post. LinkedIn, a measure of their score is how much you comment as well as how much you create. So a lot of creators are forgetting this. A lot of creators, they create but they don't comment. So a little hack is to do more commenting and you'll get more virality. My, my Facebook account manager told me you will get more followers and more reach if you comment on other influencers' content. So that's why you see me do it. Number 14: go live when you can. On the live, let me know, do you go live? On the live, do you go live? Listening and watching in, my question to you is, do you go live? Let me know in the comments. Do you go live on Instagram? Do you go live on Facebook? Do you go live on TikTok? Do you go live on Member Wisdom? Do you go live on Clubhouse? Because if you're not, you're missing out. You're missing out because on some channels, lives are better than pre-records. But what's good about them is you can engage and build a community. So if I did a pre-recording of a video, I can't say hi to Chris, Chris Addis, who's on the live, Shaheen Pathan, who's on the live, Andrew Caden, who's on the live, Magdalena, who's on the live, Kiwi in Property, April Nicole. I can't engage with these people if it's not live. But when you engage with people on the lives, you build a community, not just a following. You want a community, not just a load of people going, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, bye. So go live when you can and multi-stream live when you can, like I am now on Wisdom Clubhouse, Facebook, Instagram, and Zoom. Number 15: unlocking all the social media tools. Now look, I'm gonna save this for days 3, 4, and 5 on the social media challenge. I reckon there's 18 to 20 monetization tools on social media, and on days 3, 4, and 5 of the social media challenge, I'm going to detail each one. Facebook supporters, Facebook stars, Facebook paid live events, Facebook in-stream live ads, uh, Instagram badges, LinkedIn Creator Fund that's just launched, YouTube ads, YouTube sponsor, YouTube Premium, Podcast Premium, podcast ads, podcast sponsorships, TikTok Creator Fund, TikTok Coins, yada yada yada. I'm going to list them all and I'm going to teach you multiple ways to monetize social media in the 10x Your Social Media Following Challenge, of which this is video 3 of 9. So videos 7, 8, and 9 on days 3, 4, and 5 are all going to be about monetizing social media. 15, 16, 20 different ways setting them up, making them work, picking the one, the right ones for you. So again, if you haven't joined Rob.team, it's just £3.49 a month, the cost of one cup of coffee. The link is at the top. You're going to get 18 to 20 ways to monetize social media, 90 minutes plus of deep dive content, 3 days in a row on monetizing social media. I don't know what much more I can do for you to get you to join if you haven't joined. Do you want a free go in my Lamborghini? Do you want to go on my wife as well? Do you want to come to my house and nick all the food out of What more do you want for £3.49? The link is at the top, rob.team, if you want to learn how to monetize social media 18 to 20 different ways. The reason I'm not covering it now is because I've been going now for 55 minutes of the 60, and I've got separate specific deep dive modules on each one coming up days 3, 4, and 5 of the 10x Your Social Media Following Challenge, and this is day 1. All right, number 16. This is a nice quick one, it's easy. Anytime a new social media platform comes out, what are you going to do? Now you're going to get the fuck on it. You're going to test it. You're going to try it. You're not going to worry that you're too old. You're not going to worry that you don't know the tech. You're not going to worry if you have no people following you. You're going to try it. So for 7 years, I was slow. I remember getting told by Chris Howard about YouTube in 2006 that it's going to be big. Took me another 10 freaking years. Um, I remember being told by Gary Vee that TikTok was going to be massive after it changed from Musical.ly. Did nothing for 2 years. Ah, what an idiot I was. But I made the decision after the last viral sensation that I missed that finally I am gonna go live on every social media channel. I'm gonna try it when I hear about it. Rumble and Bitchute and Speakeasy. And Green Room and Fireside and Wisdom, all these new channels. I'm gonna try them straight up new because if I only go viral on 1 out of 5, if only 1 out of 5 of them succeed but they go big, I was in at the start. Now one of the reasons I've got 284,000 followers on Clubhouse is because I got in at the start of 2021. Now, people I know who got in at the start of 2020 have got millions of followers. So mark my words, take it from me, when you hear from someone credible of a new social media channel, get in on it, try it, and put some content on it. Thank you, Action Investing UK, who said, I'm fucking loving this, and also said he'll have a go on my wife. Okay, right, there you go. Um, right, number 17. Oh, by the way, a little hack on trying new platforms: when a new platform comes out, I'll try it, but I'll make sure I'm live on another channel at the same time to leverage my time. So Wisdom is quite a new channel. I've done probably 17 rooms on Wisdom. I'm live on Wisdom right now, but I've never gone live on just Wisdom. Why? Because I've currently had 34 people in my room in 55 minutes on Wisdom, and I'm supposed to be one of the top Wisdom influencers. Well, that doesn't work. 34 people Fuck that. So at least if I'm also live on Instagram and Facebook and Clubhouse, I've had 756 people listening to me on Clubhouse, so it's a bit more. So if you go live on a new channel, especially on audio, but you multi-stream live or repurpose, then, um, you know, it's not so bad. It leverages your time. Okay, number 18: you gotta react to fast changes. When the algorithm changes, you gotta react. When news goes live, you've got to go live on it immediately. With newsjacking, if you go live the next day on news, you've missed the boat. Whereas if you go live the minute the news is announced, you leverage that energy. Because energy, it's not created or destroyed, it merely changes form. But if you don't leverage that big ball of energy of a new platform or a viral platform or an algorithm change or big media news, you've got to get on it early. And that was what I kept messing up. I didn't get on it early enough. I was too slow, I was too old. Oh, the tech. Oh, I'm 42, I'm so over it all. Nah, nah, nah, you gotta react fast and you gotta jump on quick. And it's more and more important than ever because virality is huge right now on many of the social channels. Okay, and then the last one is creating your own subscription platform and getting multiple streams of recurring income from subscriptions. Rob.team, I have Facebook supporters, I have. Now I'm going to do a separate module on this as well. So therefore I can do a quick summary right now and then I can finish this session. This is session 3, video 3 of the 10x Your Social Media Following Challenge. So video 3 of 9, module 3 of 9. I'm recording this live as a social media challenge for all the thousands of members of my Supporter and Rob.team platform. And then when it's finished, my team are going to edit out all the swear words, so that will take them a while to edit. Fucking edit that out. And they're going to edit out some of the tech issues and, you know, a couple of little bits and bobs, and they're going to make a lovely slick 14-hour, 9-module course called 10X Your Social Media Following. And then I'm going to sell it for $300 to $500. That's how I'm going to roll. If you want to get it for free right now, join on my Rob.team platform. The link is at the top. The link is Rob.team. R-O-B dot T-E-A-M. It'll cost you just one cup of coffee per month. That's £3.49 or $5, and you'll get free a $300 to $500 14-hour 10X Your Social Media Following course, which I'm now doing live as a challenge. Now, by the way, um, the reason I would give you a $300 to $500 course for what, £3.49, um, and all the other member benefits at rob.team— Ian's just joined in, is in on rob.team, go and join Ian. The reason I'm doing that is because I actually like doing the content live. I've got people watching in on the Zoom, I've got people listening in on Clubhouse and on the Facebook group. It's a bit more interesting for me to do it live, a bit of engagement and energy and banter. If I was having to do the 19 Ways to Grow Your Social Media with the green screen and the PowerPoint slide, I'd really fucking hate it. So the good thing about doing it live for me is I've got an audience, so that's why I'm prepared to give it to you for free. But you have to go to rob.team right fucking now. Rob.team, get boosted now. Rob.team right fucking now. Honestly, in the UK, it's get boosted now. Rob.team, get boosted now. I wish I could put Rob.team on the little slogan on the, um, on the Prime Minister's little lectern that he has. He's literally got written on there, get boosted now. Anyway, quick summary. The 19 things I learned, the mistakes I made, the fuckery, the hackery, the challenges of 10xing my social media following. 7 fucking years of sweat for, um, 500,000 followers, and then 9 to 10 months of leverage to get to 1.1 million. Number 1, engage with, enjoy, and involve the critics. Don't ignore them. Number 2, post consistently, 15 to 30 minutes a day. Number 3, commit to at least 1 year of consistency on each channel and see where you go, like I did on TikTok. Number 4, interview people and collaborate with people to infiltrate their audience and grow rich. Number 5, be prepared to fail. Make some mistakes, test some stuff, have tech fails, have multi-stream fails, have content fails. You have to, you have to fail to succeed. Number 6, look at your analytics and improve your titles, your watch time, the times that you go live. Number 7, increase your watch time. Number 8, repurpose content on multiple channels. Number 9, engage in the comments. Number 10, know your outcome for social media. Are you building your following, attracting your ideal clients, monetizing directly, or generating leads and clients? Number 11: Entertain as well as inform. Number 12: Follow the 70-20-10 rule of content. 70% on brand and niche, 20% news and engagement jacking, 10% selling. Number 13: Follow all the top influencers and comment on their content and consume their content and learn from them. Number 14, go live when you can and ideally multi-stream live. Number 15, unlock all the monetization tools and features, of which I'm going to be teaching you for 3 days, day 3, 4, and 5 of the 10x Your Social Media Following Challenge. Number 16, anytime a new platform comes out, test it and get on it early. One of them will go viral and you'll be thanking me. Number 17, I didn't cover that one, Research trends, hashtags, and keywords. So leverage trends, leverage hashtags that are popular, leverage keywords that are popular. It's a bit like newsjacking, but it's for social media trends. Number 18, react fast to changes, uh, and jump on news quickly. And when an algorithm changes, figure it out fast. And then number 19, create a subscription platform or multiple streams of income through your subscriptions, which I'm going to teach you on a separate module. So last chance to join Rob.team and get the other 13 or 14 hours of content on 10x-ing your social media following challenge. I'm going to say goodbye to my supporters on Facebook. Thanks for tuning in. I'll see you tomorrow at 8 AM UK time. I'm going to say bye to all my members on Rob.team. Thanks for tuning in. I will see you 8 AM UK time tomorrow. So anyone left on Instagram Live and Clubhouse room, you've got maybe 30 seconds to join Rob.team before I take the link down. She sits and listens to all the speakers. She manages the room. She brings up the speaker. She moderates the speakers. She talks to me on WhatsApp back channels. Um, she waits patiently for all the speakers
