3 Shocking Money Truths You've NEVER Heard ⛔️

Rob Moore argues that bank deposits are technically the bank's liability, not yours; cash loses value to inflation faster than interest accrues; and after taxes, most people keep only a third to two-fifths of their salary. He cites U.S. student debt over $1 trillion and claims the average American pays roughly $600k in lifetime interest.

3 shocking money truths, warnings about you and your money from the system, things you may not know about your money that's quite frankly shocking. Do you know what? I'm going to give you another bonus 3 at the end of this short video. So shocking truth number 1 about you and your money is that once it is in the bank, It is no longer yours. And some people say, nah, that's not true, I can just withdraw it whenever I want. Not when there's bank runs, you can't. Not when a communist state decides that your money is theirs, you can't. Not when the governments might need it for World War III, you can't. You think it's your money. When it's in the bank, but you need the bank's permission to have your money back. Now look, let's say a cycle lasts 17 years. 16.8 years of those 17 years, your money is probably safe. Probably. But what about those couple of months in the 17-year cycle when there's a bank run? When the banks have to take your money because they've no other choice because they've loaned most of it out because they don't hold deposits? And here's the irony of this: you give the bank your money. Legally, technically, and practically, it is no longer yours. It is theirs, and you hope that they'll give it to you when you ask for it. You have faith and trust in the money system that they will. It's a bit like getting pocket money off your parents. But here's the thing: you pay the banks to have your money. Oh, you can own my money. 'Oh, and I'll pay you for the privilege.' You don't think you do, but you do, because when inflation is higher than interest, you are losing money in the bank. And the reason that you're paying the banks is because the banks invest and lend it out. £10 on the pound, $10 on the dollar, they lend and invest it out a factor of 10 because they know that cash is a liability. So they turn your liability into an asset. And they earn on the money that you don't earn on, that you lose on. This is shocking truth number 1 about money, and are you ready? So of course you want to save money, but you don't want to save money in cash. I'll talk about that in a moment. Number 2 shocking truth about money is that it's worthless. And how can anything that's worthless become less valuable? But what's valuable in money is what we believe it to be worth, but it's actually worth nothing. So as long as we believe that it's worth something, we can use it to exchange value. But when inflation is 8%, 10%, 15%, 20%, we realize actually that you can get less and less and less and less and less for the soft asset of cash. But that's the only way that most people know how to earn, how to spend, and how to save. So actually, the worst type of investment is savings, assuming not a scheme or a scam, but generally accepted investment classes. The worst type of investment is cash because you've got to take your money after tax. You have to take it after tax because you never get your money. So let's say you earn 5 grand a month. Well, actually, you're probably going to get net 3 or 2.5 grand a month, and then you've got to take off 15% for inflation. And since 1970 early, when we came off the gold standard, since then the value of cash has been going— and it will keep going down. Which leads me to my third shocking truth about money that you need to know. You need to know net versus gross, because you're not told this. But you earn your money and you've got to take 15% a year off that right now for inflation. So you earn £100— well, actually it's £85 a year. Then you've got to take 50% off for tax. Well, actually, you earn £100, you take 50% off, that's £50. You take 15% off that, and then for sales taxes on everything that you buy, you take another 15 to 20% off that. So you're at about net a third to two-fifths of your gross earnings is what you get net. That's a real shocking truth. Go do your research if you don't believe me, it'll take you 5 minutes. All right, I'm going to give you a couple more bonus ones because I always want to give extra value. Thanks for tuning in, I hope you find my content useful. If you do ever find my content useful, a like would be nice. I'm not going to beg for likes, but apparently getting lots of likes is good. Uh, if you also— look at me, I'm a professional speaker and influencer. And also, if you wouldn't mind sharing any videos that you think are useful, where you think other people could benefit from this, I'd be super grateful. All right, here are 3 bonus ones. So we've covered once the money is in the bank, it's no longer yours, and the banks earn on your liability. So Your money is going down in value. You give it to the bank, you lose money giving it to the bank, and then the bank make money while you lose money. Number 2, money is worthless. It's only worth what we believe it to be worth, and inflation is wiping it down even more. Number 3, the difference between net and gross is extreme at the moment. So you take your £100, you take 50% off for tax, you take 15% off a year for inflation, you take 15 to 20% off the sales taxes, You're left with a third, two-fifths max of your gross. I mean, come on, that's crazy. Okay, bonus number 4. The student debt in America is now more than a trillion. The UK national debt is 2.2 trillion, and the interest on that is billions, billions and billions. And all of these have to be paid through society. The next one, shockingly, is the average American will pay more than $600,000 in interest, but they'll earn virtually nothing on it because it's all bad debt. Well, most of it's bad debt. So if I pay $600,000 interest on good debt, for example, on mortgages for investment properties, that's probably going to make me £10 million. Who knows? Millions for sure. Haven't done the maths, but it's going to make, make me millions. Whereas if I pay it on repayments on debt, it's obviously costing me the entire £600,000 plus the principal return. So it's shocking that the average American is £600,000 interest payments in their life. But of course the system loves it, and the banking system loves it. Of course they do, because they're getting all that money. And then the final shocking truth about money, and most people don't know this: cash is the worst investment of any credible investment class Cash is the worst because it devalues with inflation. Now, most good asset classes and investments will beat inflation, otherwise why would people invest in them? If your asset doesn't beat inflation, you're net losing money. So at the very least, your asset and your investment needs to beat inflation, and cash never beats inflation. Well, it certainly doesn't right now. So let me know what you think of my 6— well, 3 shocking truths about money, plus 3 bonus shocking truths about money. Here's another shocking truth: you're not taught all this stuff in school. Tomorrow never comes. Do it now. Let me just give you a quick recap. So I've shared 6 shocking truths about money. Number 1 is once the money is in the bank, it isn't yours. And if the banks, um, run into trouble, or there's a run or a revolution, you're probably not getting it back. Um, also, cash, um, is the worst type of asset going down in value. But here's the irony: you give your money to the banks, they make money on your money by lending it and investing it because they know it's a liability. But you essentially pay the banks for them to earn money and you to lose money with cash in the bank. And then add on that inflation, add on that taxation, Add on that the sales taxes on what you buy as well as what you earn, and you've probably got net 2/5 max, maybe net 1/3 of your gross earnings. And you need to know the difference between gross and net. Money is worthless and it's going down even more. How does— how is that possible? Well, money's proven it. Student loan debt is now over a trillion in America. The UK government debt is 2.2 trillion with billions of interest that you've got to pay in tax. The average American pays £600,000 on interest, and most of that will probably be bad debt. If you invest good debt, you could turn that £600,000 lifetime interest into millions. So some things to think about. Let me know what you think in the comments. Are there any other, um, shocking truths about money you think people need to wake up to? Certainly would.
