5 Ways to Cash in on the Crash of 2023

Rob Moore outlines five strategies for profiting during the 2023 recession: pound-cost-average investing over 12-24 months, price offers below current market rates, pivot into consulting, and build low-cost business models like social media agencies and SaaS. He's promoting a free training series on making £10K a month, available only to those who register.

5 ways to cash in on the great crash of 2023. The recession has already started, and the property prices in my local city are down 15% in the last 60 days. Car prices, watch prices are coming down. Inflation is still really high, which means that the cost of living is really high, which is going to plunge plunge the economy into a further recession, if not a depression, in 2023. And I wanted to share with you the 5 best ways to cash in on the crash. So number 1 is pound-cost average investing, and what that means is you invest in stages through 2023. Because people are always asking me, Rob, should I wait? Should I wait for the property market to crash? Or, Rob, what's the best time to invest? When will the market bottom out? Well, unfortunately, none of us can answer these questions. I think we're all agreed that the recession is here and it's going to get worse. By the way, let me know if you think that we're already in recession. And let me know if you think that this recession is going to move into a depression. I would love your thoughts. Please share in the comments. But if you wait until the perfect time, you'll never invest because there's never a perfect time. But if you go all in now, then the market might drop further. So what you do is you pound-cost-average invest. Which means over the next 12 to 24 months you invest your money in stages as opposed to investing it all together. The next thing you do related to investing is you, um, price for tomorrow, not for today. So I've been offering on watches. I've offered on about 4 different watches to buy. And I'm offering probably 20% lower than the prices of today because I think that's going to be the price of tomorrow. Um, and some people are still holding on to today's price with the assets that they're looking to sell, and others you can see they're flexible and that they're dropping their price a bit. So if you're worried about the market dropping further, then you offer lower based on that further drop. Now, some sellers are going to hold because they're a bit delusional, or they're holding on to today's price, but others will soon realize that the market is dropping and that it could drop further, and therefore being more open to accepting your lower offer. So you offer based on where you think the market will drop to so that you can still make offers. Mark's pointed out here about increased interest rates. Mark, this is a very good point. Um, with interest rates likely to go up, this is likely to force the prices of cars and watches, maybe the stock market, and certainly properties. It's likely to force the prices down. Because as interest rates go up, people can't afford their mortgage payments anymore, so they have to sell at a lower price, or unfortunately they end up getting repossessed. So that's 2 of 5 ways to cash in on the crash: pound cost average, stage your investing, and invest on tomorrow's price, not today, i.e., offer a lower price. Where you think the market is going to drop to. Okay, um, the next way to cash in on a crash is to become a consultant or a mentor or an educator of information. So as we move into recession and then depression, what you'll find is that people are lost, scared, confused, overwhelmed, and they don't know what to do or where to turn or how to handle their emotions or the markets. So if you can create content that helps solve people's problems, content that helps people educate themselves, content that inspires and motivates people, gives them practical and tactical information to start a business, to invest, to turn their passion into a profession By you turning your passion into a profession, you can cash in big on the recession of 2023. Carla said here, I'd love to be a mentor, but a mentor of what? What do you know better than many? What, what is your passion that you could turn into a profession? Your content that you could turn into cash flow? Where do you have experience and knowledge and confidence where maybe others lack that, that you could instill and inspire information, education, and confidence into them, because that's going to be a great business model for 2023. Why? Because there's going to be more fear, more confusion, more overwhelm as the recession turns into a depression. Yes. Could anyone learn them? Yes. So are entrepreneur strategies and tactics and business models learnable and teachable? Yes. So could anyone learn them? Yes. But why do I— so I disagree, Gary. Anyone can learn to be an entrepreneur by learning the strategies and tactics and business models, and anyone can learn to manage money well by learning the strategies and tactics. So I don't agree, Gary, that everyone isn't capable, because they are, because these strategies and tactics are teachable and I'm teaching them. But what I do agree, Gary, is not everyone is ready. Not everyone wants to. Not everyone believes in themselves. And also, we can't have 8 billion entrepreneurs. We need the car— the people to wash the cars.
