9 Yr Old Makes £150 Per Hour 😲

Rob Moore's 9-year-old daughter Ariana sells handmade beaded bracelets for £3 to £5 each, earning about £150 per hour. She's made 70 sales so far and plans to produce 200 more bracelets before a speaking event where she'll sell to an audience of 200.

So this 9-year-old here, um, is making about £150 an hour in her new bracelet business. This 9-year-old here also happens to be my daughter, um, and we're going to do some bracelet making with you. She's going to be coaching me on making bracelets. Well, actually, she's leveraging me Because, um, Ariana, do you have a public speech to do next weekend? And are you going to be selling your bracelets next weekend?
Yeah.
And do you know how many bracelets you need to make by next weekend? So Ariana needs to make 200 bracelets in Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, in 5 days.
And I finish school at 5:30.
And she's at school until 5:30, so, um, and I do Saturday school. Speak a bit louder so they can hear.
I do Saturday school.
And so who's going to be helping you make these bracelets?
You.
Yeah, who else?
Um, maybe Mummy sometimes.
Yeah, okay, fine. Let's just make sure we get a bit more of you in. All right, so what we're going to do on this video is explain Ariana's business because I think it's pretty inspirational for a 9-year-old. Um, do you like making the money?
Yeah.
Yeah. And, uh, she's also going to show you how we make her bracelets. And, um, you're going to teach me how to make the bracelets?
Yeah.
Oh, and we're going to talk about Ariana's business. So Ariana now has a new logo, don't you? So tell everyone the name of your business.
Ariana's Accessories. Accessories.
So Ariana now owns arianasaccessories.com. Ariana's 9 years old. Did you know, um, per hour you make more money than many adults? How would it feel if you made more money than your teachers? Um, um, I feel rich. Well, my goal for you is to make more money than your teachers. That's just, you know, my goal as your entrepreneurial dad. Do you like the idea of having your own business?
Yeah.
Do you like the idea of being an entrepreneur?
Yeah.
Do you like the idea of working for yourself? Yeah. Are you gonna pay me for making these bracelets with you as your staff member? Yeah. Okay, we'll negotiate that later once everyone's gone. Okay, so here's what we're going to do in this video. Oh, by the way, um, if you would like to, um, purchase or see any of Ariana's bracelets— so, um, at the moment we've bought arianasaccessories.com, um, and we're building that at the moment, but it's not live, um, and we have Ariana's logo. But, um, what if you want Um, we can show you some of the bracelets, and if you email support@robmoore.com if there are any that you want. Ariana, will you tell everyone how much you charge for your bracelets?
£3 for one and £5 for two.
Yeah, £3 for one, £5 for two. Someone bought five as well for— I think we did £20 for five. Is that all right? Yeah, yeah, okay, good.
No, £15.
Or was it—
it was £15.
Okay, £15 for 5. All right, yeah, that sounds a bit more like it. Better maths than me. Um, okay, so, uh, yeah, if you email support@robmoore.com if you want, um, any of Ariana's bracelets, either to support her launching her business, um, which she's already sold, I think, 3 batches. And she was making more than £150 an hour. That's not bad. And this weekend she needs to make 200 bracelets because she's speaking at an event in front of 200 people who might want to buy the bracelet. But anyway, if you would like to, email support@robmoore.com. That's support@robmoore.com. Just to let you know, I won't be taking any commission. Um, I will be charging Ariana to build her website I'm outsourcing it and I'll get her to pay those fees, or at least I'll support but probably match her, her payment. And when she gets a chance to sell them to my community, uh, I, I do, um, have her pay an amount for the privilege of that. Some people think I'm a tight dad who's a meanie who's charging his daughter, but the reason that I'm doing this is to teach her how business really works, because obviously she's leveraging other people's communities. These are partnerships that she's building. To help her launch is her dad, but in the future she'll have to do this off her own back. So yeah, this is what we're doing, and now we're going to make some bracelets. Ariana, in a minute I'm going to move the phone over there so they can see what you're doing and see you in. So these are some of Ariana's, Ariana's bracelet designs, and if you email support@robmoore.com then if you want any, um, say if you want to buy some for your children, or if you just want to support a 9-year-old entrepreneur, um, if we show you how many she's got here, she's made a hell of a lot. But we have to make 200 for this weekend. Go on.
What?
Basically, I just speak.
I did have more, but, um, I sold them.
Okay, that's good.
I would have had like over 200, maybe.
But there's quite a lot there. Look.
Yeah, yeah.
Let's see if we can—
all my beads are in these drawers.
Okay, and then all the beads over here and these drawers, and then these here. So if you're just tuning in, we've had quite a lot of people just join. This 9-year-old is making about £150, um, an hour with her bracelet-making business. So I've got it, I've got it, I've got it, I've got it, I've got it, I've got it, I've got it, I've got it. And, um, so what we're doing on this live is— what? Wait a minute, let me set it up properly. Needs to be set up properly. Um, okay, yeah, there we go. Look, you see? Perfect setup properly. So Right, Ariana, I'll do a summary again in a moment, but show us what you're doing here.
Have you got an orange color? That's my brand color. You have a lot of orange.
Yes, this 9-year-old is my daughter.
I can make, um, uh, any bracelet you want. You just have to tell me what you want on it.
So you're doing— you'll do bespoke orders so people can pick their colors and designs?
Yeah.
Okay, so if you want anything, email support@robmoore.com. And, um, Ariana will either offer you some of the bracelets, she can send you a picture of them all. Um, yeah, do you remember? Um, yeah, she was— she brought her son, remember? Maybe you were doing the video with her son. Okay, so yeah, there's some of the bracelets.
Um, wait, here's some more.
Yeah, here's some more. Okay, so, um, some of you have just asked Ariana to make you anyone. So if you just want Ariana to make you one of her own, then just email support@robmoore.com. We've just launched her brand, arianasaccessories.com, and the website is being built at the moment. I'm helping her obviously because she is my daughter. And I also have a foundation to help young and underprivileged kids start meaningful businesses that change the world. Um, but maybe, you know, you want, um, to use this to inspire you, um, just to help your children with their starting their business.
I can put letters in it.
Okay, Ariana can put letters. Actually, she's also— look, there is one that says BFF. Yeah, so this one is BFFL. 'Best Friends for Life.' And she made some for me, black ones for me, with, um, 'Dad' and 'Daddy' written on them. So these are all the letters.
Some.
Wow. So these— here's some of the beads she uses. By the way, what some people did on— we did a live last Sunday and some people donated stars to help Ariana launch her business. So if you do want to donate any stars here to help Ariana launch her business, um, then I'll make sure that all— I'll make sure that all of the money goes to her. And the email again for any orders is support@robmoore.com. That's support@robmoore.com. And once we have your website built, we can get your email address done. Arianasaccessories.com, that will be.
Just like name anything you want. You can have like charms in them, any color beads, letters, stuff like that. Like any beads, just, just like saying, send it in the email. Yeah.
Okay, so when we get the emails, you'll write them down and you'll make them specially?
Yeah.
Yeah. Okay. Um, all right. Yeah, it would definitely be nice to reach more people in Africa. I mean, my foundation is to help young and underprivileged people start big meaningful businesses, of which I'm obviously helping my daughter here. But she has to take the credit, all right? She's on my live, but people often say they prefer you to me, don't they?
Excuse me, thank you for 300 stars, Christina.
Thank you for the 300 stars. Um, let's make something for Christina. Christina's an amazing member of our community. She's one of our mentors, so maybe we should make something for her. Yeah, yeah.
Chris, do you know what you want?
Okay, Matt's granddaughter Kiki says hi. Hi, Kiki!
Hi!
All right, so, um, where there's loads of different types of bracelets that we've got— well, Ariana's got— Ariana has made these all herself. Or, um, Ellie wants 3 pieces, orange, purple, and pink. Yeah, email support.
@robmoore.com.
That's support@robmoore.com. She wants orange, purple, and pink. So if you write that down, Ellie, you know who she is, and then write, um, orange, purple, and pink. And Christina would like green. Orange, purple, purple. Don't worry, you don't need to spell to be a successful businesswoman.
And pink.
Pink, yeah. And then Christina wants green. Okay, Barry says that I'm a good business partner for you. So for those of you just tuning in, my daughter, um, in the last 6 months has officially launched her bracelet making business. She always wanted it to be called arianasaccessories.com. So while she was boarding at school, my, um, one of my tech legends, Lewis, got a logo designed for her. And we also bought the domain arianasaccessories.com, and we're, and we're building out her Shopify store as we speak, or maybe your Etsy one. We'll see. Thank you, Lenka, for the 50 stars.
Thank you.
Any stars that get donated, I'll make sure that Ariana gets all the money. Um, we have to make 200 bracelets by this weekend. Because Ariana's got a talk in front of 200 people and she's got to sell maybe 200 bracelets. Do you have 200 in stock? You don't, do you? So we've got to make them. Should we do a little bit of a making demonstration now? Okay, if anyone wants anything, just email support@robmoore.com.
Thank you for the 20 stars.
Make sure you say their name. Ian Storey. Thank you for the stars, Ian. All right, so you have this design board here. So is this specifically for making your bracelets?
Yeah.
Okay, right. So what do we do?
Basically, you're just gonna get—
let me— okay, I'm going to tilt it down so they can see.
Look, there you go.
And so this is all yours now. I've done my talking. It's all yours. Yeah, you got to keep everyone— you got to keep everyone engaged.
Yeah, anyway, so first you're gonna get your string. I've just gone like a small piece, and you're gonna get this and you're gonna like place the string down. It depends if you're doing like sizes and you want to like measure what size it is. So basically, let's say if the string goes up to like 8, you do 8 as 8, which is 16. So the size is 16, and then you're just going to measure that. But you want like it bigger than 16 because you want to have some space to tie it.
So the string, is it stretchy and durable?
Yeah.
Yeah, so it doesn't snap?
Yes. Yeah, he does not need that.
No. Well, if you, if you want 200 If you want 200 bracelets by the weekend, you're gonna have to be nice to me.
Oh yeah, you're gonna have to help, but like— Adam! Oh, thank you for the 99 stars, Adam!
Thanks, Adam Sargeson, for the stars! Yeah, so this board has a size measurement because I guess you're gonna need to make all different sizes, aren't you, for kids or adults? Oh, I've been told to leave you to it. Yes. Oh, sorry, micromanager here. Just gonna have my dash.
Do we have a reply? Sorry, my daughter.
A replay? Yeah, this will be on record, so once the live is finished, this will be put up.
Yeah, yeah.
What?
He's not—
I am slow. I am slow.
Anyway, anyway, is that the girl who said leave her alone, Rob?
Helena, how are you? Hi, Kate Curtis, thanks for the stars!
Thank you, Kate.
Anyway, Christina has asked, how many bracelets have you made already, do you reckon?
Um, should we count?
I'll count while you make.
Make sure to put those ones back in that container. So I'm gonna pick some beads. I'm gonna pick out of these ones. I really like these ones. So I think, I think I might do some pink because my favorite color is pink. I love pink.
I would say 100. That's a rough estimate. I reckon you've made 100 already. So to be safe, you're going to need to make 150, and you're going to need to make some ones for men as well. Yeah, I know, because like, there's not— no, this is the one I made, but I made it too big.
Whatever.
So you can see I'm not very good at this.
So we're going to start.
Don't whatever me.
Thank you for the stars, um, Philip.
Is it brof or bro, um, or brow?
Brow.
Philip, thanks for the stars.
Philip Brow, thank you.
All stars go to this cheeky one here.
You're not slave. I am slave. He's not.
Anyway, Amy is saying we should make the business bigger and do crochet items too.
Oh my gosh, do you know what?
What crochet items?
Basically, you know, like knitting. Yeah, that is like— crochet is basically like that, but the wool, it's like wool, but it's like more like fluffy. You can make like anything out of it, right? But I know how to make homemade stickers. I could do that.
Okay, I've just had an idea. You know, when we make these for next weekend, we need to probably make small, medium, and large, don't we? And have them in different pots. Yeah, because otherwise, like for example, this is large. I mean, yeah, this is large.
I already have pots somewhere.
Okay, and then we've got like— this is very small.
That's a Christmas one.
Okay, yeah.
Okay, Josh, I need to do my live.
Come on then, do your live. We are— go on then. Okay, keep it— keep talking to everyone. Show them demonstration.
Did my stars come in?
No, no, we didn't see them. No, they didn't come in, Ellie. So, um, is that how I say your name?
I think Eli.
Yeah, it's one of the two, maybe something like that.
Okay, anyway, um, so since I'm gonna make more for like men. I'm gonna do blue, so I'm gonna do these blue ones.
Oh, we're doing them for men! Paula said let her speak. I'm just trying to help you. Sorry, sauce.
Okay, Elizabeth just paid for it.
It's a little— it's, um, Ellie for Elizabeth.
Oh, okay.
Thank you, thank you, thanks for the stars.
Thank you. Anyway, so this is— I'm— and where I usually put my beads, like, right here because there's like a big hole, so I'm gonna do that and then I'm gonna I'm just gonna see what else I have in here. So I have these ones which are quite nice, so I might do that one. And I'm gonna do—
you can't do anything—
some of these. I think girls might like this one as well, but still.
I'm not trying to be down with the kids, I'm just trying to be me. I am slay. Chop chop then.
Okay, I'm just gonna pick out—
we've got 200 in a week to make.
This is gonna be maybe, um, a large one.
Yeah, if you want any, email support@robmoore.com and tell us your size, whether you think you're small, medium, or large. That's a good idea, isn't it? Yeah. And maybe could you send— yes, some slay!
No!
Yes! And do you think maybe also, um, we could send them some pictures? Yeah, yeah, of the ones we've got.
And on my website, basically what people do is they take pictures of it so people can see. Like the bracelet, right?
And then also, um, Ariana will, um, do a bespoke order. So if you've got particular colors you like or anything, you could request a bespoke order. Um, what is it, £3 for one, £5 for two? I think a bespoke order should be a bit more, maybe. Maybe, yeah, maybe. We'll see.
Like, no, a personalized order would be a bit more.
Yes, bespoke, personalized, same thing, means the same thing. Oh, look at these! These are like, um, sweets almost.
Yeah, fruits.
Fruits.
I have quite a lot of those.
Right, and then these are like pearls.
Yeah, I have lots of pearls.
And then these are letters. Yeah, so you could— someone could have their name on it if they wanted.
I have different types of letters.
Could someone have their name on it?
Yeah.
Okay, so what you've done is you've stuck the— you put sticky tape on the desk. Wait a minute, if we just— just show people. The thing is, I don't want to move it too much and make it fall. Yeah, look, that's it, that's fine there. Look, you can just see here, so she's stuck sticky tape to the edge of the, um, what you call this, the band, and then she's just—
you speak—
well, you're not explaining what you're doing. You're supposed to be doing a tutorial.
So, and now you're just gonna keep on threading your beads onto it. These beads are really easy to, um, like, thread through because they're quite like— like, the hole is really big.
What do you like about making beads?
Beads? I don't make beads, I make bracelets.
Sorry, sauce. What do you like about making bracelets?
Thank you, um, Elizabeth, for the, um, 200 stars.
What do you like about making bracelets, not beads?
Um, it's just fun.
Did you find it relaxing?
Yeah, I usually like to watch maybe some YouTube while I'm doing it.
Yeah. Oh, did you actually count how many of them?
Yeah.
Oh, Adam, thanks for the stars! 500! Did you, did you see that?
What was that?
Thanks for the 500 stars, Adam. Just to let you all know, if you do donate stars, I'll make sure Ariana gets, uh, all the money. And it'll be for her business, not just to buy sweets.
Not Chick-fil-A sauce.
What did you say?
Nothing.
Hi Lisa, Namisha, Jane, Aaron.
Okay, so just gonna—
so while Ariana's finishing making, um, Ariana and has made about 100 bracelets here. She sold about, oh, 70. Um, she came to my office, so she made more than £150 in that hour, and she's done that 2 or 3 times. And then this weekend she's got a speech in front of 200 people and she's selling her bracelets. So we've got about 100 in stock, so she needs to make about another 150. When I say we, obviously it's Ariana. Yeah, not me. He's stinky. Um, but, but I am helping you. I mean, this is, this is my community. Whatever, just because you think you're the best.
I used to be. Thank you for the 100 stars.
Oh, Nicola. I've been friends with Nicola for years. Nicola's been in the industry 20+ years. She's great. Um, so thanks for the support, Nicola and the Stars.
Thank you.
Yeah, um, I guess every parent is embarrassing to their son or daughter. I'm not the only one.
Thanks, Helen. Helena.
So this started as Ariana's passion. I mean, when did you— what age did you start making bracelets?
4, maybe 5, 6?
I think. Okay, so started at 6 and you make them for fun, but you— this isn't me pushing you, is it? You do genuinely want to have your own?
Well, I did make them when I was 5, but I didn't make them like this.
Okay, but do you want to— you want to have a bracelet business? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um, so I'm supporting, not pushing. Jason, thanks for the stars. And oh, and Elizabeth sent another 600. Thanks, Elizabeth.
Thank you. Okay, um, so you still need to pay me for most of those last lives.
Yeah, I do, but you, you all need to pay me for the website and the logo and the renting.
How much money will that be?
Well, we'll see. We need to negotiate that out, but that'll be done in private.
I'll do that after the, um, after the, um, the event, because then I'll have some more money.
Yeah. Hi Adam, Anna, Leanne, Maureen. Is it Sand? Do I pronounce your name Sand? Hey everyone. Right, okay, so do you want to show what you made live?
So I made this like blue bracelet and there's these like pearls on him.
Okay, and so you think these are for more for men, are they?
Yeah. Okay, this is like A medium-small size.
Why would you have a medium-small size for a man?
I don't know.
Let's see if they fit me. Just about. And I've probably— I'm probably got small wrists. I'm probably a medium.
I have a tiny wrist.
Okay, right. So if you, um, would like any of Ariana's bracelets, we've got, um, about 150 here in stock. We can send you a picture of them all, but probably batched together because she hasn't built her website yet, then email support@robmoore.com. If you want to support Ariana in any way with donations or anything like that, email support@robmoore.com. If you would like your own bespoke one made, email support@robmoore.com. Tell us what you want— colors, size. Ariana has made a little necklace here as well.
Um, it's like a choker thing.
Okay, a choker. Sorry, a choker thing. Uh, Nicholas says you're a real natural on camera. Oh, thank you. Right, so I think we're probably done, aren't we?
No, one more bracelet.
Oh, you want to make one more bracelet?
So I'm going to use these green pearls. I'll just do that. These green pearls.
And tell everyone, give everyone a bit more of a story as well while you're making them. What else should they need to know about you and your bracelet business?
That it might feel like it's expensive, but it's not because they take like a while. Well, they don't take a while. Well, they do, but like I have to buy everything and I have to make them.
Yeah, so I don't think £3 for one is expensive. You buy the stock, you hand make them, no machinery made. You don't buy them in, do you? You make them yourself. Yeah.
And this, and these pearls, these like beads.
And have you tested the material so that they're robust and they don't break?
Yeah, yeah, like look at that.
Yeah, okay. Helena, thank you for the stars.
Thank you. Okay, now I'm gonna do this one. I'm just gonna—
you know what, I think we should make this one on TikTok. Should we do a TikTok live?
Yeah. Yeah.
All right.
Okay, everyone, if you have TikTok, go on to TikTok and then look at the live. Do you post them to us?
Uh, yeah, if you email support@robmoore.com. Um, just while we're building out her website for now we'll just do them personally. My mum's helping with the fulfillment.
Nanny Sharon, am I gonna like package them properly like small businesses do? All right, yeah, that packaging and everything. Everyone go on to the TikTok live, please. Bye!
And if you have— say thanks to everyone.
Thank you for watching.
Ask everyone to share. Please share the video.
Please share the video. Yeah, rainbow color.
Okay, write that down.
I'll write that down.
Okay, and, um, look, if you want any help with your entrepreneurial kids, I do have the Rob Moore Foundation to help young and underprivileged people start meaningful businesses. So, um, you can get in touch with me for that at support@robmoore.com.
Bye!
Hey, look, my beard and your hair match.
I know that. Wait, how did it grow back already?
What?
That was so quick. It's only been like 2 days. That was— how did that happen?
What quote do I always finish all my content with? What's my famous quote?
Which one?
If you don't risk anything, you risk everything. Bye!
Okay.
