Bid to BAN Censorship on FB, Twitter & YouTube 😳👏

In this YouTube monologue, the presenter champions a newly introduced Australian bill by MP George Christensen that would prohibit Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube from censoring lawful political content and impose $1.1 million fines on platforms that delete or shadow‑ban such posts. The speaker frames big‑tech companies as powerful political gatekeepers that threaten democracy, citing high‑profile cases like Donald Trump’s deplatforming and the Joe Rogan Spotify controversy. He shares personal experiences of being shadow‑banned and temporarily banned for posting factual statements, using these anecdotes to illustrate perceived overreach. Throughout, he urges viewers to support the legislation, share the video, sign petitions, and spread the message globally, while clarifying that only illegal, defamatory, abusive, or defamatory speech should be restricted. The tone is persuasive and impassioned, with repeated calls to action and a strong emphasis on protecting free speech for all.

So there's been a bid to ban censorship on Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube, and I for one think this is one of the best pieces of news I've seen on the internet in years. Now I'm going to talk you through it, and I would love your thoughts on this. Now at the moment, it's a bid for a proposed bill, but get this, um, there's been a lot of unrest across the world in the power that big tech social media have in maybe the world of politics, and of course for what they're calling the small person and the censorship. You know, many people— I don't know what you think about Donald Trump being deleted and deplatformed— many people think that was fundamentally really wrong. And ultimately, governments are now threatened because big tech social media are having political influence because they can choose what they censor so they can change the political narrative. Now honestly, when I think about these things on a government or a global political level, I don't have a huge amount of sympathy. I have sympathy for Joe Rogan, I have sympathy for you, I have sympathy for the freedom of speech, but maybe not massive governments. But then I thought to myself, wait a minute, I should If I want free speech, I want free speech for all. And actually, governments and politics and voting, etc., should have equal opportunity too. So I'm quite excited by this, and I would love your thoughts, and I would definitely encourage you to watch to the end and hit the share button if you think this is interesting. But now governments are starting to feel threatened, controlled, and powerless. To big tech, because big tech— Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.— the big social media platforms, they now control the narrative. And people are getting censored and shut down every day. Every day I hear someone new that's been banned on YouTube or censored or shut down. And for me, unless it's illegal, that's completely wrong. Now, I don't know how much you follow my work, but for every day when the whole Joe Rogan Spotify censorship scandal kicked off, I was talking about it. I was doing a little bit of a campaign, if you like, to support free speech. And here's the thing: I believe we have to support free speech even if we don't agree with what's being said. And that's important. And even if we're not a fan of the person who's being canceled, if we let other people get canceled, then we get canceled So anyway, let me know your thoughts on this subject. I'm going to tell you the news, my thoughts, your thoughts, share. So there's been a new bid in Australia to ban Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube from censoring Australians, and tech giants could face a $1.1 million fine for deleting your post. I would love, I would love for every big tech platform to get fined $1.1 mil every time they delete my posts. I'll be, I'll be raking in the millions. Although of course I wouldn't get the fine. But I think accountability to big tech is vital. Here's the thing, this is what governments are supposed to do. Governments are supposed to govern. They're supposed to intervene when power and monopoly gets too big. And big tech is powerful and it's monopolistic and it's maybe getting too big. So there's this, um, chap called George Christensen in Australia who's introduced a bill to stop tech companies censoring. I think it would be fantastic if big tech and social platforms were stopped from censoring. Now, some people would say, oh, but it's their platform, they can do what they want. And to some degree, I get that. These big tech platforms, they're allowed to make their own rules. But we were really sort of led in in a different way, and now they're all pervasive and powerful. Now they just decide, I want to ban Rob. I don't like Rob's face. He's shaved. Where's his big ginger beard gone? We'll ban him. And I've actually been shadow banned, which is often worse than a ban because you don't know you've been banned. It's like being ghosted. You were dating, you got ghosted. You didn't get dumped, you were just ghosted. Oh, I don't even know if I'm still going out with this person anymore. They don't just reply to me. I'd rather just get dumped. So I've been shadow banned and I've had a temporary ban. And by the way, for saying facts. I said, well no, my guest said on a YouTube video, "Covid has been hard for small business," and we got a 7-day ban. That's an absolute fact. Crazy. Okay, so George Christensen believes that Australian democracy has been threatened by foreign interference. Now look, you might not be from Australia, but the reason I'm telling you this is because Let's go and support the Australians in this. Let's get them to ban social media from censoring. And then let's have it across the rest of the world. Let's support them. So George Christensen introduced a bill to stop tech companies censoring, big tech companies, social media companies. His bill would stop them from removing political posts or profiles that are not illegal. Because he believes that Australian democracy is being threatened. I say hell yes. I say go, George. The people are behind you. Rob's behind you. Rob's community is behind you. Is behind you. You go, George! I'll sign a bill, I'll sign a petition, I'm with you, George! Fly me out to Australia, I'll go and protest with George! May the world follow suit. Now look, I'm not normally riding the horse of the government, but I'm riding the horse of the government against Big Tech. I'm backing the government, I'm riding the horse of the government, let's beat Big Tech! Now look, I don't hate Big Tech, I'm on Big Tech, I love Big Tech, But big tech should not be able to press the button and delete you and accuse you of misinformation and censor you when you've done nothing wrong. There should be laws on that. Hallelujah, George Christensen! Let's hit the share button and say hallelujah to George Christensen. He says that big tech companies have significant control over political discussion and can threaten free speech. And that's what they did with Trump. Now, a lot of people didn't mind because they hated Trump, but what they basically said was, we're now political, we delete him, he doesn't have a voice. One whole party doesn't have a voice. It's completely wrong. Completely wrong. Okay, so Mr. Christensen also said he was concerned by how Facebook and Twitter deactivated Donald Trump's profile after the Capitol Hill riots in Washington 2020, and he described Big Tech as notoriously censorious of political discourse, i.e., they censor what they want politically, which could then be for their own agenda. He also rallied against Facebook for suspending United Australia Party MP Craig Kelly after controversial posts about vaccines and alternative treatments. He wants free speech to run unabated, except for, of course, illegal speech or defamatory content. And I agree, free speech should run unabated unless it's illegal, defamatory, abusive. Everything else should be free, and there should be recourse against platforms that censor for no reason or their own political or ulterior motive gains. I agree with that. Let's hit the share button. Let's, let's support George. Okay, right. His bill would protect tech giants from— sorry, his bill would prevent tech giants from deplatforming and censoring, including fact-checking. Hallelujah to that. Oh, we have fact-checked. We are the BBC. We have done the BBC fact-check, which means the BBC's biased, uh, and we've taken it down. No. So, um, this bill would prevent tech giants from deplatforming, censoring, fact-checking lawful content by members of Parliament, election candidates, registered political parties, journalists, media organizations, and even the little guy, preventing censorship of lawful philosophical discourse. I agree. Please hit the share button because we are fighting for our freedom of speech. At the moment, we're fighting for Joe Rogan's freedom of speech, and we are fighting for your freedom of speech. Are you fighting? Are you sharing content? Are you standing up for free speech? You really need to be, because when you lose your freedom of speech, you lose all control. So if the bill became law, the Australian Communications and Media Authority could fine social media companies $1.1 million for breaking it. Holy shit, if that money went to me, I'd be a billionaire with the amount of times they've shadowbanned me, 7-day banned me. Deleted me, warned me, put me on the naughty steps, slapped my bottom. I haven't even really said anything wrong. Holy shit. I've not gone into any of the conspiracy theories. So please share your thoughts. Simon said, you know my stance. Please share your thoughts in the comments. Please hit the share button. Let's get this out to as many people as possible. And let's support the bid to ban Big Tech from censoring. Ban anyone from censoring. Of course, as long as it's not illegal. So quick summary: George Christensen in Oz has introduced a bill to stop big tech companies from censoring, um, and removing political posts and profiles that are not illegal. He said free speech and democracy is being threatened. I say hell yes to you, George! I got your back! Let's have his back! Do it for the people, George! Get it passed in Australia and then let's get it passed in the rest of the world and let's get our freedom of speech back. And let's stop Big Tech and mainstream media shutting down any voice that threatens them. Let me leave you with this as you hit the share button: fear screams loudest when it's dying. Mainstream media, it is dying. It is screaming loudly. It is trying to censor Joe Rogan. It censored Donald Trump, although he'll be back. Mainstream media is scared it is losing control. That's what I'm going to leave you with. Hit the share button. Thanks for tuning in, and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything. I'll see you in the comments for some chat on this. We must stand up and fight for freedom of speech. I'm using my platform to try and do good. I'm protecting your freedom of speech. I protect your right to say what the hell you want as long as it's not illegal and abusive and defamatory. So bring it in the comments.
