Bitcoin Crashes to NEW Low 😳

In this YouTube commentary Rob Moore reports that Bitcoin fell about 12% to a new yearly low of roughly $17,300, triggered by rumors of a Binance‑FTX merger and a liquidity crunch at FTX that halted withdrawals. He explains the concept of market reflexivity – how emotions, tweets and news can amplify price moves – and warns that similar panic could spill over into traditional banks, citing a client whose accounts were frozen. Moore argues that investors should prepare for worst‑case scenarios, use dollar‑ or pound‑cost averaging (buying in stages during dips), keep exposure to any single asset small, and avoid speculative short‑selling. He distinguishes truly decentralized assets (e.g., Bitcoin) from centralized exchanges that can fail. He also links the current crypto turmoil to broader macro‑stressors (COVID, Ukraine war, high taxes, debt) and suggests that volatility creates buying opportunities across asset classes (real estate, gold, watches). The video concludes with a promotion for his paid education platform, rob.team, where he offers masterclasses, community access, and claims extensive personal financial success as credibility.

Bitcoin has crashed to a new low. Um, last time I checked a few hours ago, Bitcoin was down 12%, uh, and that is a new low for the year. So it fell to $17,300, um, in a bit of manic chaos, um, in the crypto exchange world. So I'm going to talk about the news, and then I'm going to talk about what can be done about it, and some warnings, some threats, and some opportunities. So Bitcoin has dropped to its new low of the year, um, about a 12% drop on last time I looked, and it was all because of, um, some news between a merger of Binance and FTX. Um, but We've always known that crypto is highly volatile, highly volatile, and people seem to forget this. But any emotion, any tweet, any news and worry and panic and fear is in any market, but especially in the crypto market, and it can literally crash the market. So, you know, if some big investor or platform owner, like the owner of Binance, for example, if they tweet, um, or if there's discussion of a merger or an exit, then all of a sudden a platform that's billions of dollars can cave to nothingness. So why should you know this? Number one, because reflexivity is something that a lot of people don't talk about. And what reflexivity is, is it's emotion in the market driving the market, because the market reflects the emotion. Reflexivity, reflection of the market. So you can look for the fundamentals all that you want, and you can do all your analysis and research, but what can drive the peaks and troughs of the market the most are sentiment, human emotion. So a bit of fear or a bit of news, and all of a sudden everyone wants to exit. So, um, FTX, um, which is a token, lost 80% of its value in a day, and it stopped all withdrawals. There was essentially a bank run on FTX. Now, why am I telling you this? Because this can happen in the banks as well. People are not ready for this. I feel like I am the purveyor of reality, um, at least, by the way, in terms of being ready for the worst-case scenario, because If you're ready for the worst-case scenario and it doesn't happen, you didn't lose. But if you're not ready for the worst-case scenario and it does happen, you are wiped out. So you want to be ready for worst-case scenarios. And, um, I think we're very close to our next bank run. I can really see it. Get this right, do you know banks are now automatically shutting people down? So a client of mine who's a property investor, she has 30 properties, 2 banks wrote to her and said, "We are shutting you down. You've got 2 months, we are closing your account." And one of the banks even froze her money. Since when have you heard, you've got a bank, you've got, you know, 75 direct debits, you've got 30 mortgages going out of it, you earn good money, you pay your taxes, and then the bank writes to you and just says, sorry, we're shutting you down. So look, I don't want to be right on this, and by the way, this is my opinion, this is not a fact, do your own research. But if, if you had a gun to my head and you said, Rob, do you think in the next 3 years there will be at least one bank where there's a bank run and the banks have to stop withdrawals, yes or no, I'm about to pull the trigger, I would say yes. I actually would say yes. Now there is upside to this, and some of you have been mentioning in the comments, you know, when you have volatility in a market, you can make money by, um, what we call pound cost averaging. I know a lot of people like to short and bet on assets going down, not up, um, but if you pound cost average or dollar cost average, which means buy in stages, not all at once, you can negate or protect yourself from any violent crashes of bad timing in the market. So Declan has said here it's going to fall more. Well, he doesn't know that. He may be right, he may not. This is why you should pound cost average, because, you know, a little thing they say in the markets is buy in the dips. And what buying in the dips means, as the market drops, buy a bit. It drops some more, buy a bit. It goes up, great. It drops, buy a bit. It drops, buy a bit. Carl, it is a new low for the year. Um, Bitcoin is at its new low for this year. Of course it would never be a new low because its new low was zero. It should be kind of common sense. Um, but it's new low for the year. It's just short. I just wanted a shorter headline, didn't want to confuse people. Um, so yeah, so here's a few little things you can think about. Number one is you could consider buying in the dips. That's not financial advice, do your own research. But I think a good practice moving forward in any asset class that you believe in, that you've done your research in, and you're not putting all your money in— because if you haven't researched it, that's gambling. If you're putting all your money in, that's gambling. So, you know, let me just make you aware of that. But, you know, let's just say, for example, you had 10 grand to invest, um, don't put it all in now. Yes, it's a dip, but it could just be the initial drop off a bigger dip. So instead of putting 10 grand in now, put 2 grand in now and then wait. And then in a month, maybe put another 2 grand in, and then a month, put another 2 grand in. It's called dollar cost averaging or pound cost averaging. I wanted to warn people, stroke educate people on that, because, you know, some people who have got a little bit of knowledge— which, by the way, a little bit of knowledge is fucking dangerous— A lot of knowledge is useful. No knowledge— in some, in some ways, no knowledge is better than a little bit of knowledge, because at least if you've got no knowledge, you're humble and you're like, well, I don't know shit. So a lot of people are like, yeah, buy in the dip, buy low. Yeah, but don't put all your money in. Pound cost average down. Because Ethereum's gone dropped, um, obviously FTX has lost 80% of its value and basically nearly went under. And all of this was because of, um, various news in the crypto markets. For example, a merger between FTX and Binance. Um, so let me just give you a quick update on the, um, announcements, the news, what's going on, and then I'll continue with some more solutions. So Bitcoin dropped to its new low for the year. It got pretty much $17,000 new low to the year because of a lot of noise in the crypto markets about FTX and Binance merger, and FTX, um, stopped withdrawals and lost a massive amount of its value, um, a liquidity crunch as they call it. Um, okay, so FTX dropped, yeah, nearly 80%, 76.5%. Coinbase dropped 11%. Um, yeah, Robinhood dropped 14.5%. So yeah, this is all kicking off all because of rumor. All because of human emotion, which is known as reflexivity. So, um, it's essentially a bank run on crypto. And I want to let you know that I believe that there could be bank runs in fiat currency coming soon. I mean, there has been in Lebanon, there has been in the Far East, um, and what's to say it's not coming to a bank near you? So investor confidence is low. So what can you do about this? Um, number 1 is you can buy in the dips. A good rule of thumb for buying anything— property, watches, Rolex Daytonas, um, gold, crypto. Really, for me, it's Bitcoin. I'm not really into— I'm not into any of the non-decentralized cryptos, just saying. You must know the difference between centralized and decentralized. And a lot of them, you think, oh, that's decentralized like Bitcoin, the government don't control it. But an owner of the platform controls it. So it's actually not decentralized. And you know, oh, FTX, great, decentralized. Oh, Binance, great, these platforms decentralized. No, they go bust, you lose your money. So make sure you know this. But anyway, um, buying in the dips means when the market drops a significant amount, you buy in. Do not put all your money into any asset And do not be overbought because that's called gambling. So what you do is you buy in the dips by pound cost averaging, um, which means you— let's say you've got, uh, £10,000, you'll buy £2,000 in this dip, you'll wait, you might wait a month, you'll see what happens, you buy £2,000 in the next dip, it goes up a bit, you buy £2,000 on the upward market. So you, you invest in, in stages, a small percentage of your overall wealth in cryptocurrency. I would recommend Um, and I would really watch and observe and learn the markets right now because I believe many markets are going to crash like they've never crashed before. I mean, how can you have Brexit, COVID lockdowns? How, how can you have, um, the Ukraine war, the food crisis, the energy crisis, the, you know, the near-peak taxation? I mean, we're nearly in as high as the late '70s in our tax burden? How can you have trillions of debt, all of these perfect shitstorms of things going on? How can you have all that and not have a massive crash subsequently? So actually, um, with every disaster there's a master, with every beginner there's a winner. So you could really win big in this upcoming recession or depression by pound-cost averaging in buying real estate, by pound-cost averaging in buying maybe Bitcoin or some cryptos. Remember a smaller percentage of your net worth. I'm seeing other assets drop, which is about time, by the way. Watches have been going crazy, gold's been going crazy, property's been going crazy, and finally they're over the peak and they're about to drop, which means the prices are lower, which means the yields are higher, which means the returns are higher, which means the timing is good. So actually, all of this news, all the reflect— reflection of fear into the market Fear is pumping now into the property market because of high interest rates. Fear is pumping into the crypto market because of FTX and Binance, and, and, and it sort of spreads in then to the stock market. So there's fear everywhere, and fear equals opportunity. So I hope you found this video, um, useful. I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing it, because hopefully there's some fundamentals in here that really help you. Number one, um, only invest a small amount of your net worth into any asset, especially cryptos. Number 2, um, don't be afraid of the drops and the crashes, but make sure you pound cost average, buying on your way down and buying on your way up, and not just, um, putting it all in in one go. Conversely, by the way, um, don't, um, wait, because a lot of people, they're waiting. I will wait for the market to drop further. We'll wait for the market to drop further. We'll wait for the market to drop further. We'll wait for the market to drop further, and then it goes up. Oh shit, we missed it. So actually, you can't really time it. Some people are saying that they're shorting. I would just be careful in shorting. That, to me, that's essentially speculation, which is essentially gambling. And watch for a bank run near you coming soon. Okay, so, um, if you would like to learn how to invest, learn how to de-risk investment spread your investments across low, medium, and high-risk assets, um, against lower and higher returns, physical and digital, liquid and illiquid, um, personal brand and real estate, then I recommend you join Rob.team. So there's people in here saying about shorting, and Jamie's just said here, I wish I'd shorted at $90,000. Well, that's just pure gambling. You know, if you're going to short things, bet on it going down, you really want to do that with a small amount of your money, and that is speculation. It's not investment. And I, I like buy, hold, die. Why would you not wait for, for an asset to be well priced, or offer low enough for an asset to be well priced today, buy it and hold it forever? So I'm talking to someone who's got, um, a building worth $4 million and he's selling it. And I said, but in 15 years that'll be worth $8 million. And he's probably gonna— if it's worth $4 million, he's probably now gonna have to sell it for $3.5 or $3 million. So he's going to take a hit on it. He's going to sell it for 3. He's going to come out with a little bit of money, but in 15 years it's going to be worth 8. Why would you do that? So, um, rob.team to get better financial education and knowledge. Isn't it ironic that some people are prepared to short a market and risk thousands in the crypto space, but they're not prepared to pay 20 pence a day to get better education and knowledge around money? And don't forget, I'm the author of the UK's best-selling book, Money. I've got a podcast called Money that has over 250 episodes. I've made, um, more than £140 million in revenue in my last 15 years. I have a high 8-figure portfolio with a net 7-figure income. I earn net 7 figures on my personal brand. I earned £155,000 just on my personal brand content last month, 20-something thousand in the last 10 days on my YouTube channel. So I can teach you how to do this.
