Bitcoin has just hit another all-time high, $104,000. So give me a yes in the comments if you're a fan of Bitcoin. There seems to be a few reasons behind this. There'll be many we don't understand. I'm seeing more and more peopleā someone said on LinkedIn today, I, you know, you don't need to be in fiat currency now. You might as well just be in Bitcoin and gold. Yeah, you can't pay your direct debits on Bitcoin. It's not quite as easy as that. And whilst there are many great upsides to Bitcoin, which, you know, many people call digital gold, I think it's still way too early to be as bullish as many people are on Bitcoin, or at least as all-in You know, I've seen this before. I've seen previous cycles, all-time highs previously, all-time highs previously, all-time highs previously. And people chuck everything in a higher part of the market. You know, you're supposed to buy low and sell high. You're supposed to observe the masses and do the opposite. You're supposed to be greedy when others are fearful. And fearful when others are greedy. And these fundamentals, well, if you haven't learned them, you need to learn them. And it's at these moments when you need to remember the fundamentals because the emotions kick in and make you do silly things. Anyway, so maybe some of the reasons that Bitcoin is at an all-time high is because, I mean, if you go on X, everyone loves Bitcoin on X. Um, it seems that what Michael Saylor does seems to sort of swing the market. I think his, um, firm MicroStrategy has about 2% of Bitcoin now, which is obviously a huge sum of money. It seems that every time he buys in, I think the last 5 Mondays, he seems to have bought in and then, whoop, we get an all-time high, and then, whoop, we get an all-time high, and then, whoop, we we get an all-time high. It looks like Donald Trump is a fan of maybe Bitcoin as a reserve. So there's a lot of really big signs for not just this current all-time high but the long-term consistent future of Bitcoin. You've got all the old Bitcoin evangelists holding deep. You've got a load of the new money coming in now. They see how high Bitcoin is. So it's very, very strong at the moment. I just want to share a few fundamentals and remind you of some things in these moments, because as much as I like certain elements of Bitcoinā I like the decentralization, the lack of it being able to be manipulated by governments and central banksā I really like that. I really like that. I like the scarcity of supply. I certainly like that. But never go all in on one single asset class. Never, ever, ever. Now, you may set up one type of business and focus on one main thing to make your money, but then to keep your wealth You know, so there's different stages. I call it the 4 Ms: make, manage, maintain, multiply. And, you know, retaining and holding your wealth is, is often as difficult as earning it, especially if you earn it through Bitcoin and cryptocurrency where you don't build the skills and knowledge along with the money. You know, not, not discrediting anyone who made money in Bitcoinā well done. You invested when others didn't have the skill, knowledge, courage. So not knocking anyone who's made a load of money in this big pump, but you didn't get resilience, grit, rejection, you know, difficulty with clients, suppliers, invoicing, legal, and all the other challenges that you have running a business and that you learn along the way. You know, you know, millionaires say You can take all my money away, but I'll just make it again because I have the skills. And this is what you develop running real businesses and what you don't always develop just getting a crypto pump. So one of those fundamentals is you never want to be fully exposed in one class. You know, all these people saying that, you know, I'll justā you don't want to have any money in fiat currency. You have to have some because it's more liquid. And you still can't pay a lot of things through Bitcoin. Number 2, if there is, you know, a bear run, or if there is a bit of a periodic crash, do you have the wherewithal and the resources to ride that out? You may not. You never know what's going to happen. And, you know, there are some smart people who are full-time evangelists of Bitcoin, but, you know, this is still quite a new asset class. So never have all of your assets in one class. Be greedy when others are fearful and fearful when others are greedy. Um, and I think it's really good to have a trading, cash-flowing business, which Bitcoin isn't. Okay, now some people have been in it long enough now that they can kind of maybe live off the money. But to live off the money, you've got to take and sell Bitcoin and reduce the amount that you have. So I think that it's smart to have a trading business, a cash-flowing business, and then park some of that money into Bitcoin. Maybe it'll be banned, you never know. It got banned in China. It's certainly not going to get banned by Donald Trump, but you just don't know. And so therefore, just maintain a sense of balance. People always ask me how to invest money. I don't advise, I share my experience. But at the end of the day, if you want to learn how to make money, the fundamental rule from the person you're listening to is have they made money? And most people who are advising on money in school and uni have not made money. But, you know, I think it's really good to have physical assets that you can hold. That's why I like gold and silver. And, you know, I would not replace my gold and silver with Bitcoin. I'd have gold and silver and Bitcoin. It's good to have digital gold as well as physical gold. I love cash-flowing assets, which Bitcoin is not. So therefore I love, for example, real estate, and I love having my membership site, Rob.team. So you've got all these factors to consider. But for sure, if you take the buy, hold, die strategy that you know, I've been sharing for a decade. You know, some people want to buy low, sell high. Some people want to sort of day trade. Those things are very difficult to time. And even if you're an absolute genius in the market, beating the market by day trading, virtually no one's done that over the long term. In fact, the best investor in the world won't even do that, and that's Warren Buffett. So he says, my favorite holding period is forever. So I think you should only buy something with the view to keeping it forever, which means you probably have better fundamentals of buying it in the first place and you do better research and diligence. So property you'd obviously hold forever because you know it's going to go up in value. Gold you'd hold forever because you know it's going to go up in value. So I think with Bitcoin, just slide a bit of money you can afford to lose here, there, here, there, here, there, here, there, uh, with a view to holding it forever. If you had a hold forever strategy, then I mean, even since lockdown, I think I sold some Bitcoin at about $10,000. It's now worth 10 times as much. So buy, hold, die with money you can afford to lose, with a percentage of your wealth that is what we call risk capital. You can afford to risk. A lot of people are now saying, oh, well, it's, you know, it's too high now. There's no point going in now. Well, some people are saying it will go up to $150,000 a Bitcoin. Who knows? So you invest when it's right for you because it's not about timing the market, it's time in the market. So there are just some random thoughts about what's gone on in recent times with Bitcoin. I love the decentralization. I love the sense of freedom. I love the, you know, the kind of people who are behind it. I love what it stands for, but that doesn't mean you have to go a bit batshit crazy and just chuck everything in and, you know, think that you're a professional investor. Now look, if you'd like to learn more about investing, if you'd like to learn what asset classes, you know, are right for you, because, you know, a lot of people who are older don't really like technology, a lot of people who are maybe a bit safer maybe don't like Bitcoin, maybe they like the idea of gold and silver and property investing. You know, it depends on your age, your risk attitude, et cetera. So we have this special live event that we run called the Moneymaker Summit. And it used to be mostly about making money, building multiple income streams, building recurring income streams, the 6 best business models for 2025 and beyond. And just remember, in summary, Bitcoin's hit an all-time high. It doesn't mean you should be 100% all in on Bitcoin, no matter what the people who are 100% all in on Bitcoin say. Of course they would say that, um, You focus to build your wealth and then you diversify to protect your wealth. I think if you don't know much about crypto, make sure you learn how it works and put money in that you can afford to lose. And I love your thoughts on Bitcoin and the all-time high once again. What do you think of Trump coming in? Is that Is that a big part of the push, the bull run? Appreciate you all following me. And remember this: if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
