Boris Fined for Lockdown Parties š¤

Rob Moore breaks down the fines issued to Boris Johnson, Rishi Sunak, and other officials for lockdown parties, criticizing the Met Police for refusing to disclose fine amounts. Over fifty fines were issued across twelve separate Whitehall gatherings, but the public still doesn't know who paid what, making it impossible to judge if the punishment fits the crime.

Breaking news just in that Boris has been fined by the Met Police for attending lockdown parties. Hmm, I wonder how much. Hmm. So Boris and Rishi and others in the UK government have just received fines for their lockdown parties. Now, I personally believe we should be told how much. Because if it's a fixed penalty notice, Ā£50 fine, like it's parking, or a speeding fine, that's not good enough. Um, let me know what you think, by the way. Uh, now apparently the Met Police are investigating 12 gatherings in Whitehall and Downing Street. So look, let's be honest, it's ridiculous. That we were all locked down not once but twice, and then the soft lockdown for the third time, yet the government had not one, not three, but 12 separate gatherings that the Met Police are investigating in Whitehall and in Downing Street. To me, that beggars belief. Apparently the Met Police have issued 50 fines. I believe we should be told how much they are. Apparently the police have said that they're not going to name those who received the fines, and okay, one can maybe respect that because if you and I get a parking ticket or a speeding ticket, it's not publicized online anywhere. However, the government did promise to reveal if Rishi Sunak and Boris Johnson were among those that were fined, and Rishi Sunak and Boris Johnson were among those to be fined. Yes, it's Partygate. Now, by the way, when I said I don't know how much it is, it might be a lot of money, who knows, but if it's a small fine and a slap on the wrist, then nothing's going to happen, is it? Now look, I'm not the sort of person that needs to seek revenge. I don't know what you think about this whole situation, but I do think it was outrageous, outrageous that we were all locked down It was supposed to be a pandemic. It was a major threat to life. And yet the government, not once but 12 timesā and how do we know it's not even more than thatā had public gatherings breaking their own laws. Now, I felt like the government were going to get away with this. Why? Because then the news of Russia and Ukraine And let's be honest, that's more serious. I do accept that that's more serious. But why should they just be able to brush under the carpet Partygate, brush under the carpet Brexit, brush under the carpet this and that thing that affects us all, significantly affects us all, and yet they get away with it over and over and over again? So Labour leader Keir Starmer is calling for their resignation. I actually like Rishi. I think he's got a poison chalice job, and, um, you know, I think he's more truthful than some of the other people in, um, in power. But hey, look, we've all got our own opinions. Let me know what you think about Boris and Rishi. But Labour leader Keir Starmer said Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak have broken the law and repeatedly lied to the British public. They both must resign. The Conservatives are totally unfit to govern. Britain deserves better. Now, of course, Labour would say that. They would say that. But let me know what you think, by the way. What should happen? Um, Alan has just said here, Boris has broken at least 18 rules already. Um, Nigel Farage says to me that Boris just seems to be a compulsive liar and does like water off a duck's back. They're not my words, they're Nigel's words. I don't know Boris, I can't judge. However, taxes are going up and up and up. Inflation is going up and up and up. Heating, electricity, gas, oil, foodā the prices are going up and up and up and up and up. Travel is going up and up and up. Businesses cannot still get back to normal. Trade is wildly affected. So come on, where's the help? Where's the support? Where's the subsidy? Where's the tax breaks? Where are they all? Because I don't see any of them. Let me know what you think in the comments. Hit the share button. The, the breaking news is that Boris and Rishi have been fined for their lockdown parties. I would love to know how much, because if it's Ā£10,000 or Ā£100,000, it's different from if it's Ā£50 or Ā£1,000. And I think that matters, because otherwise, are they going to get away with it again? If you get a parking ticket and it's Ā£30 or Ā£50, are you going toā you're just going to do it again. You're not really going to care. So, yeah, apparently the Met Police are investigating 12 gatherings in Whitehall and Downing Street. Not one But 12, 12, while we were locked down, while we couldn't run a business, while our staff were either had to be let go or on furlough, where while we were burning millions keeping our companies going, while people were depressed and, you know, struggling to socialize and not be able to live a normal life, and while people were dying of COVID they were having parties. And now because of Ukraine and Russia, it's all just going to get conveniently forgotten. Well, not on my watch. I'm not forgetting about it. Ah, I think you should hit the share button. I think we should all not let them forget about it. Now, like I said, I'm not the person that isā I'm not a vengeful person. I just think accountability is really important. These people are running our country. We put these people in power. We must hold them accountable. If they had 12 gatherings in lockdown while businesses left, right, and center were going bust, while employment is going up, while cost of living is going through the roof. Cost of living going through the roof was partly caused because of lockdowns. So the reason that our fuel and electricity is up 200%, 300%, 400%, okay, yes, Russia and Ukraine is part to do with that, but so is COVID and lockdown. So why should we stand for it? Why should we shut up about it and just carry on as normal? Oh, but there's more important things in Russia and Ukraine. Well, yeah, that's more important from the life perspective, but from holding our government to account, we should not shut up about this. We should stand up. We should speak out. So Susan has said we need a new government. Labour leader Keir Starmer has said Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak have broken the law and repeatedly lied to the British public. Must resign. The Conservatives are totally unfit to govern. Britain deserves better. Let me know what you think. I personally think it's a bit of a poison chalice trying to run the government in the last 2 years. Would Labour have done any better? Probably not. Would you or I have done any better? I certainly wouldn't have wanted that job. But you can't lock the whole country down and then have 12 gatherings and meetings. You absolutely can't do that, and you absolutely must pay the price. If Will Smith gets banned from the Oscars for 10 years for slapping someone, then the government needs to be held accountable for breaking the law. Some of them broke the law 12 times. Not once, not twice, but 12 times. They were having it away. Parties and orgies while we're all locked down. Now, if the government were reducing taxes, giving us subsidies and support for the soaring cost of living, if they were supporting start and scale-up entrepreneurs and businesses and people who got made redundant, they were supporting those and they were fueling and funding the economy so that the economy can grow again, so that we can all not just survive but thrive through these difficult times, I'd be the first to pat them on the back and support them and say, hey, look, good on you. But that is still 20%. Do you know when we had the last recession. VAT was reduced. So why is VAT still 20%? Why has VAT not been reduced when this is probably a worse situation than the last recession? Number 1. Number 2, in 2008, the government bailed the banks out, yet the banks were nefarious. The banks were part of the problem of the recession, given all these toxic loans. But the banks were bailed out, yet entrepreneurs are not being bailed out. Companies are not being supported. What the fuck is going on? Like, am I misreading this? Am I seeing something that they're not or you're not? Please correct me, please enlighten me. Corp tax isn't just the same, it's going up from 18% to 25%. That's a 40% rise in corp tax. Income tax is still really high. National insurance went up. What is going on? So how can you have it that interest rates are really low, inflation is as high as it's ever been, food and electricity and gas and oil is as high as it's ever been, yet taxes are as high as they've ever been? It's a perfect shitstorm where we're all getting screwed 58 different ways. How can this be? And now they're all going to get away with a littleā I guarantee you this, they'll all get away with it. They'll get a little fine. We'll know of Boris and Rishi. We won't know who else. They'll probably get one fine. They probably won't get fined 12 times. The Met will give them a little fine and then on they go, and nothing will happen. There'll be a minor bit of news about it and then on with the next, and they get away with it. It's freaking wrong. So please hit the share button because if we do not share this message and if we do not hold our government to account, then nothing changes. And it seems like many of you agree with me here. So quick reminder, Boris and Rishiā this is just broken literally when I started this videoā um, Boris and Rishi have been fined for the lockdown parties. It hasn't said how much. I'm I think we should know how much because it matters. Because the amount that the fine is would probably determine whether they would do something like that again or not. But why just a fine? Why a fine? I mean, did they not break the law? Will Smith has been banned from the Oscars for 10 years for a slap, yet the government had 12 gatherings while we were all in lockdown and they are going to get a crappy fine. Apparently the Met is still investigating. 12 gatherings in Whitehall and Downing Street. So far, more than 50 fines have been handed out, but we don't know who to and we don't know how much. They won't be naming names, the Met have said, although the government said they would reveal if it was Boris and Rishi that were involved. And Keir Starmer reckons they both should resign and that the Conservatives are totally unfit to govern. I don't know if Labour would be any better, to be honest. So let me know what you think. It's breaking news. We shouldn't stand for it. Can't be one rule for you and one rule for the government. It's wrong. Double standards. Exactly.
