Calling me ‘bald’ is now sexual harassment 😲

Rob Moore discusses a UK tribunal that ruled calling an electrician "bald" was sexual harassment, comparing it to insults about women's bodies. He argues the decision reflects a culture of entitlement and litigation over workplace banter, warning it weakens resilience and blurs real discrimination from oversensitivity.

If you call me bald, I can now sue you for sexual harassment. You call me bald, I sue you, sexual harassment. A case has just passed, a tribunal has just awarded in favor of someone who was called bald in the workplace, and it was deemed as sexual harassment. I kind of can't believe I'm sharing this content, but stick with me because I think it's an example of what our world is coming to. Give me strength. This is real. Listen to this. So, right, a UK tribunal has just ruled that calling a man bald— and I kind of am— can be classed as sexual harassment. There were 3 members of a tribunal, and here's the thing: all the tribunal members, the panelists, you know, giving the decision, judging in the tribunal, um, have all experienced hair loss themselves. So wonder if they're biased. Um, they said that baldness is more prevalent in men than in women. Therefore, using the word bald is an insult related to a protected characteristic of sex. Some of you have said that you can't even make this up. Honestly, I can't even believe I'm sharing content on this, but I actually think it's really important. Here's why: because I believe humanity's entitled. We're weak. We sue each other for breathing. And come on, we all need to just toughen up a little bit. So I don't think having a tribunal panel of all bald members is a balanced panel. But apparently the men in the tribunal who now say— a case has passed— now say that calling a man bald is sexual harassment. They compared it to commenting on the size of a woman's breasts. Somehow to me that seems a little bit different, but anyway, let me know what you think. So the case ruled in favor of an electrician who claimed he was insulted at work and then fired. If he was fired, I can imagine it was not just because he was called bald, but let's play along, shall we? Now this gets even tastier, even more crazy. So the claimant said that he was called a bald C-U-N-T. He was called a bald see you next Tuesday, and he was threatened. And the tribunal determined it was a violation against the claimant's dignity, and it related to the claimant's sex. So you, you're not even going to believe this next bit. Are you ready for this next bit? The tribunal member said that the abuse, the harassment, was nothing to do with the profanity. So they completely ignored the fact that he was called a 'see you next Tuesday.' There was no problem with that because they said, 'Well, that's just industrial language.' And the claimant also used this industrial language— 'See you next Tuesday, see you next Tuesday.' But because he was called bald, it was sexual discrimination. Now look, I'm all up for equality, I really am, but this has taken woke entitled culture to a whole new level. You're right, you couldn't make this up, but this actually has happened. I think we need to be really careful in the workplace. I think there's too much power to the, uh, employee I think they bring their mental health issues to work, and we should of course create a good working environment. But you know, you used to work at work and then deal with your own stuff at home. They want to come to your work but do their own work. They want to come to your work but not work much. They want freedom and location travel and work from home. They want, they want to be loyal to an employer, and then if there's something that's not quite right, they want to sue the employer. Now look, if you call me a see you next Tuesday, I think that's worse than calling me bald. But how can calling me bald be sexual harassment? Even if more women than men go bald. It's just— if we allow this shit to happen, if we don't speak up for shit like this, this woke, entitled, oh, I'm so offended, I'm a professional at being offended, you have no right to offend me, I want you cancelled. I'm going to take you to a tribunal, I'm going to take you to court because you looked at me funny and it's not fair and you're not treating me well and with respect. I don't know what's going on in the world. Anyway, let me know what you think. I'm not going to talk about this anymore. We've all got our day to crack on with. But if you call a man bald, you can now be taken to a tribunal for sexual harassment. A case was ruled by 3 panelists, men in a tribunal who'd all experienced baldness. And they said because men get more bald than women, the insult is related to the protected characteristic of sex, and it's like commenting on a woman's breasts. And a man has just won a case in court, even though he was called a bald see you next Tuesday. The panel said that there was nothing wrong with see you next Tuesday, that's industrial language. It was the bald part that's sexual discrimination, and the electrician has won in court. Please, please, world, man up, woman up, strengthen up, put your big boy and girl pants on. Stop getting so offended. What gives you the right to get so offended? The world is going to shit. There's wars, there's deaths, there's COVID, there's lockdowns, there's all of this stuff. Come on, sort your shit out. And yeah, hopefully also we have a bit of a laugh anyway. Thanks for tuning in. Yes, I'm somewhat— did you just call me ginger? Oh, shall I take you to court for gingerism? Yes, I've got gray and ginger. Oh, I'm gonna sue you for sexual harassment, you called me ginger. Come on. The problem is that this woke entitled culture will create weak people, and we will live in a weak world. We need strong leadership. Come on, people. Thanks for tuning in. Rant over. Hit the share button, have a laugh, and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything. Let me know in the comments what you think is going on in the world right now. Do we think that there's this entitled, woke, too easily offended, weak culture? I'd love your thoughts. Are you an employer? What do you think of your workforce and how is that going? And this maybe sort of more millennial generation— I don't want to make generalizations, I just want to spark the discussion. Would love your thoughts in the comments. And by the way, keep them coming, keep the— what should we call it? You're giving me a bit of banter here. Oh, I'm just going to rack them all up and I'm going to sue you all for sexual harassment and discrimination. I love being ginger. I love being salt and pepper. So sue me.
