Campaign Against Entitled Lazy Tw*ts

A speaker attacks the UK's 4-day workweek trial, calling it entitled laziness that worsens the £2.3 trillion national debt and 14.1% inflation. He argues meaningful work improves wellbeing, cites Elon Musk's Twitter cuts as proof that longer hours boost performance, and urges a 6-day workweek during recessions.

A new 4-day workweek trial has launched in the UK, and it's pissing me off. What right does anyone have to think that they can work less and earn more? Like, just how entitled and lazy do you have to be to think that it is your divine right for your mental well-being to work less and earn more. I think it's an utter disgrace. So, um, this new trial of 100 companies and 2,600 staff is to do 4 days' work for the same pay. A 4-day week for the same money. And they're calling the 5-day workweek a hangover from an earlier economic age. Now, I think a 4-day workweek for the same pay is probably just as bad as work from home, if not worse. I'm wondering if we should have one bank holiday a week. I wonder if we should do a 4-hour workweek. That will get us out of the recession depression. That'll turn the economic climate around. That'll get the country's $2.3 trillion of debt just wiped out immediately. What are these people on? Now, by the way, before a load of people hit me up with, oh, mental health and well-being, let me tell you this: work is not the source of mental illness. It is not. Hard work is rewarding. Meaningful work is rewarding. Doing something useful and valuable is rewarding. What isn't rewarding is working for a boss you hate, doing a job you hate, and that's on you to change that, by the way. No one will change your situation other than you. So find meaningful and valuable work and become a person of value, and you will not be mentally ill. You, you will be mentally well. So let me ask you these questions, and I do encourage you to share this and to speak up, because here's the thing: there's so many of these big companies that are all PR merchants. Oh yeah, we'll do work from home, we'll do 4-hour 4-day work week, same pay, because they just don't want to get lambasted by the woke, entitled extreme left. They don't want to get cancelled. But let me ask you these questions. This is why I love Elon Musk, by the way, because Elon Musk says it how it is. He goes in with a sync to Twitter and he says, um, work hard or leave. Because is a 4-day workweek going to turn Twitter around? I mean, Twitter clearly had hundreds or thousands of staff they didn't need that weren't doing proper work because he's got rid of 95% of them and he reckons the company is better. Clearly. So let me ask you this. Let me ask you this. Is a 4-day working week going to help you pay your 300% increased heating bills? Is a 4-day working week going to push up your earnings over and above the 14.1% inflation rate? Is a 4-day working week going to mean that you're going to get a meaningful promotion and pay rise? Is a 4-day working week going to fire up the economy and get us out of the looming depression? Is a 4-day working week going to help the receding economy? Is it going to get you more clients? Is it going to protect you from the massive increases in taxes, the massive increases in interest rates? Is it going to protect you from future shutdowns and lockdowns and plug the £2.3 trillion national debt? Is it going to help with any of those? Doing less? Hey, look, wouldn't we all in our own naive delusional fantasy love to do less and earn more? The world does not work like that. Work doesn't work like that. You don't do less and get more. You do more, you add more value, and then you get more. This is an interesting point Robert's just made. Yeah, it'll go down to a 4-day work week, then it'll go down to a 3-day work week. And some people are saying, oh yeah, but it works in Scandinavia. But does it really, or are you just looking at the upside? And by the way, the lockdown, COVID, all of this ruined the economy, for rights or wrongs it ruined the economy. It destroyed many small businesses. And how are those small businesses going to recover if their staff don't want to do a full week? I'm sorry, it doesn't make any sense to me. I don't agree with it. So I am campaigning against lazy entitled twats. C-A-L-E-T. Campaign Against Lazy Entitled Twats. I do not support a 4-day work week for the same pay. I support a 6-day work week for a lot more pay. And by the way, just to be clear, I see this as temporary. So if we were in an economic boom and if there was great wellness in the world, Would I support a 4-day workweek trial? Do a little bit less, be a little bit more balanced. Yes, I would, because things happen in cycles. But if there was a war, would we be like, oh, I only want to fight this war 2 days a week, I want 5 days of the rest of the week off from the war? No, you fight 7 days a week, no days off. And what people don't fucking understand right now is that it's the wrong time for a 4-day work week. It's the wrong time for work less, earn more. It's the right time for work more, work harder. WFH shouldn't be work from home, it should be work fucking harder. We should be getting all the people on benefits into work. And by the way, supporting them to do that and helping them earn. Do you think all the people on benefits really love being on benefits and have really high self-worth being on benefits? I've talked to people on benefits. I have a load of tenants who often claim benefits. They only do it because they think it's not worth working. Actually, for their self-esteem, they want to work more. Remember, mental illness is nothing to do with work. This is the bullshit narrative out there. Oh, well, you know, work is causing stress, my bad mental health. No, shit work, useless work causes that. Society, lockdowns cause that. Meaningful work is brilliant for your mental health and well-being. So are we becoming an entitled, weak, lazy, pathetic nation? Because the East, I know that the East look at us and like, you're fucking lazy. Europe look at us and go, "You're fucking lazy." I hire Eastern Europeans and honestly they look at a Brit and say, "You're fucking lazy." The culture in China and Japan, how they work, they look at us and think we're fucking lazy. We're running this country into the ground. The NHS, fucked. The education system, fucked. The royal family, fucked. What have we got? Alright then, let's work less. Yeah, solution to everything. £2.3 trillion of national debt, fucked. I think we've completely lost sight since basically lockdown 1. I think that the UK has just completely forgotten who it is and what it is and has completely lost sight of reality. I interviewed Dave, Bank of Dave. You know Bank of Dave? You've probably heard about that. And he and I were saying the same thing. In the UK government, there isn't enough people who want to do a proper job and are not just a careerist, and they don't have business experience. We need people with proper economic business experience on the ground, having done it, building an enterprise from the ground up and employing a lot of people and understanding how to grow an economy. And by the way, this cascades down. This is not a shot at the working class by any means, because it cascades down. Because if we all work more and we all understand growing an economy, we all benefit because it cascades down. So there's more jobs, there's higher paying jobs. When there's higher paying jobs, you can afford your increased interest rates on your mortgage, you can afford the 14.1% inflation, and you can afford the 300% increase in your heating and electricity bills. So it cascades down, but people have got it the wrong way around. Fuck my life, I better get out of here before I pop an artery. But let me know what you think. But I would just like to say I am campaigning against lazy entitled twats, and I do not agree with a 4-day work week. I think it's a stupid idea, and I think we all need to work a bit harder and get ourselves through this depression. And then when we're out the other side and we're into an economic boom again, then maybe we can look at it again after that. Let me know what you think. Thanks for tuning in, and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
