Corrupt Putin-Oligarch Hypocrisy? 🤔

Rob Moore questions why Roman Abramovich faced sudden sanctions for corruption in the UK when he'd invested in Chelsea Football Club openly for years. He argues the timing looks politically convenient rather than genuinely anti-corruption, and criticizes governments and tech platforms for selective enforcement and censorship on Russia, COVID, and other topics.

Now, is there some hypocrisy going on with all these sanctions for Putin-associated Russian oligarchs? Because all of a sudden, oligarchs like, for example, 7 new oligarchs in the UK, including Roman Abramovich, they've been sanctioned, their assets frozen, their football clubs, Chelsea, taken away from them. Like this is new news. And has anyone not thought, wait a minute, Roman Abramovich has been in the UK for 20 years. He's been financing Chelsea Football Club and pumping his billions into Chelsea and London and the UK economy for 20 years. And wait a minute, isn't London reputed as one of the safest tax havens in the world. So look, should people associated with Putin and the war have sanctions against them? I think it's better than sending in the tanks and the planes and the guns and the military operations for sure, because Joe Biden has said that equals World War III. Joe Biden publicly tweeted saying if NATO intervene, That equals World War III. So I'm more of a fan than financial sanctions than I am sending in the planes, the tanks, and the guns. However, wait a minute. So for example, BBC News— now by the way, I'm not using this as my source— but BBC News have just reported Roman Abramovich: new evidence highlights corrupt deals. No, no, surely they knew for the last 20 years. And oh, all of a sudden now new evidence has emerged, now that it's convenient, that now Abramovich is associated with Putin. But his association has been there for the last 20 years. So is there some hypocrisy going on? I don't know if anyone's talking about this, but I think we should. So a BBC investigation has uncovered new evidence about the corrupt deals that Roman Abramovich's fortune has made. Um, the Chelsea owner made billions after buying an oil company from Russian government in a rigged auction in 1995. Well, that was in 1995, so that— was that not known in 1995? They go on to say Mr. Abramovich paid around $250 million for Sibneft before selling it back to the Russian government for $13 billion in 2005. So, um, that looks like a 20-year deal. I'm not sure. Um, that looks like what an entrepreneur would do. I'm not sure. Um, no one questioned it then. No one questioned when his billions came into Chelsea and into London and into the UK economy. Abramovich's lawyers say there's no basis for alleging he has amassed very substantial wealth through criminality. But if Abramovich had amassed wealth through criminality, why did they let him buy Chelsea? And why did they let him into the UK? And his billions suited Chelsea, and his billions suited London and the UK. And I'm sure there were some donations to government officials and politicians. I can't say for sure, but I am sure. And it suited them. Oh, and now Putin is invading Ukraine and we want to disassociate ourselves. Now we're going to issue a load of sanctions. Now we're going to seize his yachts and his planes and his clubs. And now we're going to banish him back to Russia. Hmm, now maybe that's the right decision to sanction the oligarchs, but come on, hypocrisy 101. Um, so let me know what you think, by the way, in the comments about this, because of course the Russian billionaire and many other oligarchs in the UK have now been sanctioned. Um, the Russian billionaire has already admitted in a UK court that he made corrupt payments to help the Sibneft deal off the ground. So he admitted in court that there was corrupt payments, yet he's in the UK financing Chelsea, spending his billions. You know, look, the London economy would definitely, definitely have benefited from Roman Abramovich being in the UK. And now they're all turning on him like he's done something new, like there's a new revelation. Even the BBC website says new evidence. Highlights corrupt deals. This is not new. Okay, now look, um, I'm going to tell you why I'm commenting on this. My main narrative through since Russia invaded Ukraine has been make peace, not war. Do everything we can to stop war, and we must resist dictatorial and totalitarian regimes like Putin invading Ukraine. Like it becoming possible World War III, which honestly I wasn't that worried about until Biden said NATO intervention is World War III, and he said it in a tweet. But this hypocrisy raises other questions, like, you know, we can't banish people when it suits us and bring them in and show them love and bring your billions when it suits us. To me, That doesn't sit right. Also, there is not just a war on land and property rights, there is a war on your liberty of information. So new evidence and information revelation— no, that information and evidence was always there. And whoever satisfactorily and conveniently parked that information— oh, we've got this information on Abramovich since 1995, we'll put that in a brown envelope in a safe. Here, Roman, come to England, come by Chelsea, spend your billions in the UK, but we've got a file on you which we'll use whenever we need. Oh, and now he's got some association with Putin. I mean, he was from Russia, and billionaires usually have associations with governments. Name me a UK billionaire that doesn't have any association with donations or politicians in the UK. So are they all going to get sanctioned when it suits? Look, I'm not offending— I'm not defending— offending? I'm probably offending some. I'm not defending the oligarch. I'm not defending, you know, corrupt or illegal activities. I'm calling out hypocrisy, hypocrisy from governments when it suits. And this, I think, is part of What's wrong with our governmental and political system? When it suits, we'll have the billions of donations. When it suits, oh, but now we think your money is dirty, bugger off back to Russia. We'll sanction everything, we'll seize all your assets, we'll have your football club, we'll have your jets, we'll have your yachts, and you can fuck off. Now it suits us. This is part of what's wrong with our governmental system and our politicians and our policies. And we shouldn't be hypocrites. Should we do everything we can to stop war? Yes. Should we sanction money flow into Russia and out of Russia if that stops the war before the tanks and the planes go in? Yes. Should we do everything to stop World War III? Yes. Should we be hypocrites and suits when it suits and doesn't when it doesn't? No. Um, Lucas has said, do you mind if I share? Absolutely, please share this content. Because this is all going to go under the carpet and under the rug. Like, what happened to the Gray Report? You know what, Brexit was conveniently masked by COVID, and then, you know, all the parties that the UK government and Boris were having— oh, and now there's a war that's conveniently— the Gray Report, what happened? What happened to, um, you know, what Boris Johnson did with all the parties and the hypocrisy? Talk about hypocrisy. 'You stay in your house. If you leave your house, that will be breaking the law. You are on lockdown, you're on quarantine. Oh, but by the way, I'm the Prime Minister and I can have a party. Everyone going to the party, have a real good time. Yeah, I can just have a party, have a party every month, but you have to stay in your house, you have to shut your business, you have to go bust, but I'll go and have a party.' Hypocrisy. And then, 'Oh, it's disappeared, there was a grey report.' Well, it's very grey because there's no freaking Answer. What's the answer to the Gray report? What happened to Boris? What happened to the police investigation? Oh, so it seems like each bit of bad news conveniently masks the previous bit of bad news. Doesn't seem right to me. Doesn't sit well. There is a war on information. Mainstream media propaganda. Say what we want, do what we want. We pretend that we're unbiased. We pretend that we have accurate fact-checking and you have misinformation and you have disinformation. Bullshit. Bullshit. Mainstream media is dying. Fear screams loudest when it's dying. Mainstream media is dying and it is manipulating and being hypocritical just to stay alive because fear screams loudest when it's dying. That's the real shit that seems to be going on in the world. So I stand for your freedom of speech. I stand for your freedom to pay who you want to pay in your bank account without your bank accounts being seized or frozen. I defend your right to have a podcast and have a scientist on it that mainstream media do not agree with. I defend your right to disagree with me even if I don't like your opinion. I defend your right, and you should defend your right, and therefore I think you should be sharing this content. Some crazy shit going on in the world. Okay, quick summary. So, um, all these oligarchs linked to Putin— the UK government knew about this 20 years ago, and now all of a sudden they're disowning all the oligarchs, sending Abramovich back to Russia, taking his football club off him. By the way, a lot of people— the staff, the merchandise, the contracts, the revenue for the football club Chelsea, for the, you know, the The City of London, that's going to get greatly affected. Those assets could get sold pennies in the pound. All those players could leave. What about all the fans? What about the season tickets that could have been sold? What about the merchandise that could have been sold? All frozen because new evidence highlights corrupt deals of Roman Abramovich. They knew it since 1985, come on. And now they're disowning him. Hmm, hypocrisy. That being said, let's make peace, not war. Let's do everything we can to stop the war. And if that does mean seizing and freezing financial assets and money flow to and from Russia, I'm all in favor of that rather than sending in the tanks, the guns, the planes. Because Biden said it on his tweet, NATO intervention is World War III. But there's a lot of shit going on behind the scenes here. You know it, I know it. There is mainstream media control and propaganda of information like This propaganda seems at levels where we had previous wars. You know, this language being used as a weapon. Oh, disinformation. You've been fact-checked. BBC official fact-checker. What does that mean? What it actually means is BBC's bias report. It's not fact, it's what the BBC want to show you. So you get fact-checked and disinformation and misinformation accused even if you are factually correct, but it doesn't suit the mainstream or big tech narrative. Big tech narratives control information now. If, by the way, one of my friends, he wrote Russia in the title of his live and he's been banned from doing lives on Facebook because he put Russia in the title. He could have written my Russia GCSE grade. Um, I said the word COVID, that word, it'll probably come up here, in a video that had nothing to do with COVID and I got the COVID information center bar at the bottom of my Facebook Live. I got banned from YouTube for a week because my guest said— not even me, my guest said— COVID has been hard for small business. This is fundamentally wrong, and we have to push back. We put these people in power. We gave these big tech platforms our data, and we used them, and we gave them our time. So we have to take democratic responsibility to hold them to account and push back. Which means using Rumble as well as YouTube, which means pushing against mainstream media by speaking up on your social media channels. I used to think, Rob, there's no point saying anything, no one's going to listen. As if Putin's going to be watching my lives, as if Boris Johnson's going, yeah, Rob Moore has a point, we need to change our policy. So I never used to comment all this stuff. I'm an entrepreneur. I want to help you start and scale your business, get better financial education and knowledge. I want to help you make multiple streams of recurring income, build digital assets, create a personal brand. Monetize it, unlock all the monetization tools on social media, be a business owner, navigate COVID by building an online business and pivoting and, you know, creating valuable and meaningful products and services. That's what I'm about. But if you can't flow your information freely, you can't do that. And mainstream media and big tech are stopping us from doing that. If you can't flow your money freely, like the Prime Minister of Canada expedited a law, not through due process by the way, in dictatorial totalitarian fashion, and anyone who donated more than $25 or any money flow in your bank account that was to do with the trucking protest, you could have your bank account seized, frozen, and you could have your insurances revoked. The government stepped in and went dictatorial totalitarian rule, we're going to intervene on your bank accounts. No, no, that's bullshit. I should have the right to protest as long as I'm peacefully protesting. I should have the right to protest if I don't agree with something. And if a government won't let us protest against ruling that they created, against, you know, old-fashioned totalitarian rule that they're using with their iron fist, If they won't let us protest and they're going to shut our bank accounts down for doing it, they have bigger problems. They have to learn better leadership. And this is going on in Russia, this was going on in Canada, and now there's all this hypocrisy with the association with the oligarchs. It's all fucked, it's all fucked up, and we need to do something about it. So if you want uncensored information, like, I'm being as honest as I can on this live, but I have to be careful of the words I say. I can't really say the C word, the V word, vaccines, the L word, lockdowns. I can't say these, I could have my account restricted. So if you go to robmoore.com/pod, you can subscribe to the Disruptors Podcast where you get unedited, uncensored interviews and discussions and debates on, yes, starting and scaling a business, creating multiple streams of recurring income, but also on these world political views. I'm now starting to interview world leaders and influential people in power Because without freedom of speech, freedom of flow of money, freedom of property rights— because all these things are being violated right now. Your property rights are being violated, your freedom of speech is being violated, your money flow is being violated, your ability to share your opinion without being cancelled or deplatformed— it's all being violated. It really is. And the only place I can speak completely openly, freely without censoring myself— because if I don't censor myself, mainstream media will censor me. Big tech will censor me. So here's the paradox, here's the other hypocrisy. I have to censor myself in case mainstream media and big tech censor me. And the only place you can get uncensored information from me now, fully uncensored— I do my best here— but is on my podcast. So robmoore.com/pod. I've got some special entrepreneurial gifts there because I wanted to celebrate the 6-year anniversary of my podcast and the 43rd birthday that I just had. And my 15th year in business. But instead, every day I have to comment on this stuff because I think it's my responsibility, you know, someone with some influence on social media. But my podcasts are going to go deeply into these topics. I will not, I will not edit myself. I will not cancel myself. I will not contain myself, control myself. I will not be a good boy. I will not stand in line. I will not do what mainstream media and big tech want me to do. Because that's a violation of my rights and your rights. So robmoore.com/pod, there's some gifts there. Pop your details in and you can get access to my Disruptors podcast because we're being disrupted and we need to disrupt back. So fight for your property rights. They must not invade your land and they cannot take your property away. Fight for your freedom of speech. Even if I don't agree with you, you should be able to share your opinion. Mainstream media and big tech should not be censoring and canceling us. Hmm. Hit the share button. Thanks for tuning in, really appreciate you. There's some hypocrisy going on in the world because, oh, right now all the oligarchs are being banished and sanctioned and all their assets frozen because apparently they were involved in corrupt deals with Russia 20, 30 years ago. They knew that 20, 30 years ago. Come on, you know, just because seizing and freezing assets to stop the war might be the right decision, decision. It doesn't mean you start calling out all these people for corruption when you knew it 20 years ago. That's hypocrisy. Thanks for tuning in. Hit the share button. Fear screams loudest when it's dying. Mainstream, mainstream, mainstream, yeah, mainstream media, mainstream media is scared. Big Tech is scared, and they scream the loudest when they're dying, and they're dying. Governments and dictators and totalitarianism is dying. Hit the share button. I'll see you in the next video. If you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
