Creating Recurring Subscription Revenue

Rob Moore walks through building subscription revenue using platforms like Patreon or Kajabi. Post 1-2 pieces of content weekly, tier pricing from $5-$50 per month, and drive growth through daily social posts and a 5-day challenge. Netflix makes $2 billion monthly on this model.

I'm going to share with you how to generate subscription-based recurring income. The reason I love recurring income, and I talk about it a lot, is because whether there's another lockdown or COVID, or you lose your job, or there's a redundancy, or there's massive tax hikes, or there's a regulation issue, or there's a legal issue, or whatever could happen— you lose your main supplier, there's a major supply chain issue— All of these things can happen in real life and they do, and they don't happen when you're ready, they happen when they're ready. So if you want to protect from all of those, uh, and not have to work harder and longer and sell your time, you need to create recurring income. So what I'm going to do in this little mini masterclass is I'm going to focus specifically on how you can generate subscription based recurring income. Now, there's only one word I need to say which will convince us all we need to be in the recurring income space, and that word is Netflix. Now, Netflix, they have 193 million users, average £10 a month because there's two levels. They have 193 million, that's £2 billion a month in revenue. And people say there's no such thing as passive income. Now, there's massive passive income. So I'm going to teach you 7 ways to specifically set up your own subscription-based recurring income platform and how to grow it and how to get members and how to get revenue. Someone's just asked here, so what's the best recurring income for, for a starving artist? I would definitely say setting up a subscription platform and using it to gain behind-the-scenes access to you. Maybe you put some exclusive content in there that you don't sell, or you sell the original and you show the exclusive content only in your subscription platform, and then you build up a member base and then you do exclusive showings for them. So pretty much any industry you could throw at me, in fact Um, if you're watching on the Instagram Live, let me know what your industry is, what your niche is, and I think I can prove, um, that pretty much any industry you could create vast recurring income. You know, I mean, people are doing it in, um, on OnlyFans, you know, with their, their photos and their content in the, in the sexual nature. There's people doing it in business and entrepreneurship and e-commerce and dance and martial arts. And someone here has put that they do live stories. Well, live stories are inspiring, so maybe you could have some more famous celebrity-based people that you interview their life stories, and that content they can only get exclusively in your subscription platform. And what you do is you move them in from your podcast into your subscription platform. So here we go. Now these are all on my, um, Instagram stories, by the way. So if you're not already following me on Instagram, make sure you just follow me quickly on Instagram and then you, um, just screenshot that last story and I'm going to talk you through it right now. Okay, so number 1 is you need to set up a subscription-based platform. Now you could get really technical about this and build your own one like I have. I would not bother. I would use either Patreon, Kajabi, or Facebook supporters. Now I actually have all three, but I have a £20 million plus a year information-based business, so it makes sense for me to have multiple verticals and multiple platforms. Now if you want to build a big education type business and resource with multiple funnels and verticals, you're probably best going on Kajabi. If you spend a lot of time on Facebook and you've got some followers on Facebook, You're probably best unlocking Facebook supporters. If you want simple and easy and non-native across any platform, i.e., you can drive traffic from any platform, a non-biased platform, I would recommend Patreon. Now, these are white label, plug-and-play subscription platforms which you sign up to. You put your, um, you know, you know, your credit card and your bank information in. You set up an account, you put a a banner image, you put your content in, and bang, people can subscribe and consume. Okay, so I'm going tactical and practical here. Number 2 then, let's say you've either set up on Patreon or Kajabi or Facebook supporters, and I've told you which one you should use and why. Number 2 then is you have to turn your passion into your profession, your ideas into information, and and inspiration and education. You have to inform, inspire, motivate, move someone that will pay a monthly subscription to you. Now, by the way, you don't have to just give content. You could give exclusive access. So for example, let's say on my money podcast, I interviewed Decker and Senti millionaires, but you could only get access to the billionaire interviews if you joined my Patreon for just $10 a month. Absolutely everyone, I'm pretty sure, who subscribes to My Money Podcast would upgrade for a few dollars a month to get the billionaire interviews. Unfortunately, I didn't think of that, and I'd already interviewed a lot of my billionaires before I then, um, set up my subscription platform. But I have added a lot more other features which I'm going to tell you. I actually have one of the biggest supporter programs in the world, I was told by my Facebook supporter account manager. So you either have information, how-to on your niche, um, or you have exclusive access where they can't get what you're sharing with anyone else, or you build a closed community, or you give them a little bit more access to you. Like maybe you could do a monthly Zoom with you, for example, or when you launch products and services, you could launch them to your Patreon members, your supporters, and your subscribers first. So more access to you, launch first, and exclusive information behind the scenes. And I know every single— this is how they funnel you from scrolling on Instagram to, you know, paying a load of money a month on OnlyFans. They, they know the funnel model. And you can do exactly the same. Okay, number 3 then. So number 1, you've got your platform, Patreon, Kajabi, or Facebook supporters. Number 2, you've, you know, you know your niche and your niches are going to become your riches. And you've worked out, okay, um, what information am I going to offer? What behind the scenes or exclusive access? Number 3 then is you've got to create that content or that access. And I would do 1 to 2 pieces of how-to content per week that they can't get publicly, and then maybe do something monthly for all the subscribers. You could do a monthly Zoom mastermind. You could do a quarterly meetup where they could come and meet up with you and mastermind in your particular area and niche. You don't actually need to do as much as I do. So, um, my, um, platform is called Rob.team. By all the means, you know, if you want to jump on to, um, rob.team and see a live, live example of this, by all means do. Um, and you could actually model the strategies and, and the tactics. Just want to shout out my friend Grant who's just joined. I was watching his, um, video of his one jet and two helicopters. Very inspiring. So I'll come and chat to Grant in a moment. Um, just make sure you're all following Grant. I mean, I think anyone in the world is, but, um, I think Grant's great, the work that he does. Um, okay, so number 4 then is you need to work out your pricing structure. And I would charge somewhere between $5 and $50 a month, something like that. So if you want vast scale, charge $5 a month. If you want to make a really good living out of just this, charge $50 a month. You can also have multiple levels, by the way. So you could have level 1, $5, level 2, $50, and level 3, $500, level 4, $5,000 depending on what your product and service and offering is. So you've got to work out your pricing model. Like, if you want to check out rob.team and use it as a case study, because I actually do an Ask Me Anything Live every 2 weeks, I do a masterclass every 2 weeks, I do a lot of content exclusively for supporters. You'll see there I've, I've chosen just $5 a month, and the reason I've chosen just $5 a month is I want scale. I want 100,000 people on my, um, subscription platform because I think there's many other long-term benefits from that. So I wanted to remove the friction. No one could really accuse me of doing it for major profiteering. I already made my millions in my early 30s. So that was the model that I went to, but I didn't need to make a full-time living out of it, although I make tens of thousands a month from it now. So that is a full-time living for many people, but So that number 4 is you've got to work out your fee structure. Now I'd probably start with a lower fee, let's say $10 a month, and then in 3 to 6 months when you've got more content and more ideas, I'd then have a second level and a third level. I believe on some platforms you can actually have 5 levels. So you could have $5, $25, $50, $500, $5,000. And $5,000, you know, they're going to get one-to-one mentoring with you and exclusive access to you. On an individual basis, for example. Okay, so let me just quickly summarize where we're at. If you're watching and listening in, I'm teaching you how to generate subscription-based recurring income. I've put a screenshot on my last Instagram story, so make sure you're following me on Instagram and go screenshot that last story, because actually this is a tactical and practical way that any one of you could do this and start generating recurring income today à la Netflix. So number 1 is setting up on Patreon, Kajabi, or Facebook. Number 2 is turning what you love into information or access or inspiration, guidance, support, community. Number 3 is recording 1 to 2 unique pieces of how-to content per week and adding that value. I used to think, oh, you need to do loads to keep people. No, you just need to do consistent Number 4 is charge and get your fee right. If you want high volume, you do $5, $10 a month. If you want good income, you do $20, $30, $50 a month. Number 5 then is you need to have a nice easy link to join. So my good friend and, um, you know, collaborator in the UK Mod Squad, John Lee, has jl.club. I have rob.team. They're very short URLs. In fact, like I said, if you want to follow my Rob.team platform and use it to model it, as well as getting loads of benefit from it, you don't even have to type in www. It's too wordy. You just write in any browser, Rob.team. Let me put it in the comments and you can go join up if you want. My medium skinny cappuccino is £3.49. My subscription platform is exactly £3.49. So it's exactly— I have 62 of those coffees a month and it's exactly the investment of just one. But the URL is nice and simple. Why should you have a simple URL? Because then anytime you're doing a Clubhouse Live like I am, or an Instagram Live like I am, or a podcast recording like I am— I'm doing those all simultaneously now— You can speak it out and people can remember it. If I went www.robmooore.com/go-to-my-fucking-subscription-platform-right-now, obviously no one's going to remember that. It's a faff. So you need a nice, short, memorable link. So when I say that and someone's put rob.team.com in the comments, that's not it. It's just rob.team. There is no.com, there is no www. It's just Rob Rob.team. I'd get rob.com if I could, but that cost me about £5 million probably. So literally, you have to have a short URL, and then anywhere you go, you can talk about it. At the end of any piece of content, you can talk about it, and you can nicely grow your platform. Okay, the last two that I'm going to share with you are ways to grow your platform, because people often say to me things like, oh, Robert, this is all very well, but how do you actually get 1,000 or 5,000 or 10,000 members? Well, do you know what? I'm going to show you an easy way to get thousands of members that anyone could do, even if you didn't have any followers. And I guarantee that this absolutely works, but you just have to put in the work. So what you do is once a day minimum, you go live or create content on social media. You could go live on Instagram here, you could go live on Clubhouse here. You could go live on Facebook, you could go live on TikTok or YouTube, you could create a 3 or 5 or 10-minute video and put a pre-record up on all those channels I've said. You could post stories on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram. So actually, you could post 15 to 20 times a day. And what you do is you do a piece of content and then you bridge in to make the offer for your subscription platform. And by the way, I'm going to do that in a moment to show you exactly how it works. So I like to do live demonstrations. This is, I think, why I'm quite unique with the content I share on Clubhouse and Instagram. I actually do live demonstrations. I tell people when I'm content repurposing or I'm live on multiple channels at once. I've got nothing to hide. I want to show you how to leverage. So if you go live every single day, get this, if you charge $10 per month per user, and which anyone can charge, and you get just 3 new users a day, In 1 month, that is about $900 and something a month. And in 1 year, get this, in 1 year, you will have $11,100 per month recurring income, not just coming in from the year, coming in every single month. So 1 5-minute or 10-minute or 2-minute or 3-minute or whatever piece of content every day, offer your $10 a month program at the end, and in 1 year looking back, you will have $11,100 per month recurring income. Now, if you went live, say on Instagram, and you got 5 new signups from Instagram, wouldn't you then immediately go live on Facebook and do it again and get 5 from Facebook? And then you have 10— by the way, 10 new members a day, 300 new members a month, 3,500 new members a year, $35,000 a month recurring income. This is real shit. But to know and not to do is not to know, and this is the problem. And this is exactly why I've launched my brand new Make Cash Challenge, because I don't want you to just say you're going to do things and not do them. I don't want you to sit in a Clubhouse room and listen and the butterfly of information fly into your mind and then the butterfly of information fly out. I don't want you to sit and watch all my Instagram Lives and do nothing with it. Talk doesn't cook rice. You need to start now and get perfect later. So literally within the next 12 or 24 hours, depending on your time zone, I'm going live with the brand new Make Cash Challenge. 3 times a day for 5 days, I give you action strategies, tactics, and content. Um, NYC has said she's just joined to make more cash in the next 5 days that maybe you did in the last 5 weeks or the last 5 months. And if you like the sound of that, to jump in on that challenge, all you need to do is join my platform, rob.team. So at any time from right now, if you go to rob.team— don't put www in, just open up a browser and go to r-o-b dot t-e-a-m— go there, join up, and then you are in on this challenge. Now I've just told you how to build a subscription platform, and the rob.team platform is my subscription platform. So you can like triple dip here. Number 1, you can get good information from me, which I'll tell you about in a moment. Number 2, you can jump on this challenge and maybe make more in 5 days than you did in 5 weeks or 5 months. But number 3 is you can now model all the things I do in my subscription platform. Don't copy it, model it. That's really different. But you can model it, put your own spin on, but be inspired by mine. So you pay me £3.49 a month, $5, and then you build and get 1,000 members at $10 a month, and you have $10,000 a month. So this is a really— well, that's 1,000, but then you times it by 10, that's 10,000. Yeah, 1,000 members at $10 a month is $10,000 a month. So it's pretty serious. So to join the Make Cash Challenge and learn how to build your own subscription platform, go right now to rob.team. R-O-B dot T-E-A-M. Now let me tell you about the challenge. Let me tell you about what's in rob.team, and then let me hand over, um, to someone else to speak. So, um, the Make Cash Challenge goes like this. It starts in 12 to 24 hours depending on your time zone, so you need to do it right now. I won't be talking about it again today on Clubhouse or, or Instagram, so you need to go in the morning or the first video depending on your time zone. I'm gonna give you 3 to 5 actions to do that day to put cash in the bank that day. This is not theory. This is not something that will take you a year to set up, or maybe in 3 months a client will pay you. No, no, no, no, no. This is how to put cash in the bank today, or on the day of the challenge. I've got about 25, 30 different strategies and tactics and things that you can implement to make cash. And each day I give you 3, 5 or so of them. And then you go then do them through the day. In the evening we do Q&A debrief. You tell me how you got on with the challenge. Did you put any cash in the bank? What was your resistance and friction? And then I overcome those and remove that friction for you and answer your questions. And then we do that every day for 5 days. And then in the middle of the day, we do a deep dive live masterclass on the quickest ways to make cash. So this is not about spending a year trying to build up some physical portfolio. This is digital real estate. It's fast stuff that works immediately, leveraging the internet, leveraging social media. Each one of those 3 videos a day for 5 days gets recorded, so if you miss some or your time zone's out, don't worry, you can watch them after they've been done live. I'm giving away tens of thousands of pounds worth of prizes. I'm going to have a leaderboard. I'm going to do, you know, winner, second, third place, top 10. Every, you know, the top 10 will all get thousands of pounds or dollars worth of prizes because I want to I want to incentivize you to do what you know. Be honest with me, have you learned a fair bit but you're not doing it? And I believe if you did what you know, you'd be rich. But I think you need accountability, a push, some support, some motivation, some inspiration, some energy, some enthusiasm, a bit of a roadmap. You need to get rid of overwhelm and you need someone like me to say, Rob, what do I do first? Okay, what are you— second? Okay, so if this all sounds good go right now to rob.team. You cannot join the Make Cash Challenge unless you are on the rob.team platform, but I've made it so accessible to everyone. It's less than $5 a month, is £3.49. You could even jump on this challenge and cancel at the end of the month if you wanted to. You could try it before you carry on. Now, on my rob.team platform, you also get an Ask Me Anything live with me every 2 weeks. You get a deep dive masterclass with me every 2 weeks, and these are usually courses that I charge out about $1,000. For example, my 6-stage 7-figure launch model. I did a 6-month business coaching program, a 6-month money coaching program. All of those modules are all in Rob.team. Whenever I travel around the world, normally 40 or 50 or more supporters will come and meet me for a private lunch. If I'm speaking at gigs, I get you premium upgrade tickets completely for free. There's so many benefits to being a Rob.team member. So go to Rob.team. If you don't go there right now, you'll miss out on this 5-day Make Cash Challenge. Now, when most people do challenges, they teach you stuff, and that's pretty cool. I like learning stuff. But for me, a challenge is about at the end of the 5 days, did you put cash in the bank? Now, I would like to help you put more cash in the bank in 5 days than you did in 5 weeks or 5 months. The last Make Cash Challenge winner, because I've been doing these for a few years now, did what, the equivalent of 45, about £37,000, so £37,000, so $45,000 cash in the bank. If you like the idea of £20 grand, £30 grand, £50 grand, if you want to be my best ever winner and break above £50 grand, go to rob.team right now. Now what you'll see on the rob.team page is you'll see that there's two ways to join. On the left hand— go halfway down on the left hand side, you can join via Facebook. On the right hand side, you can join by my non-native Rob.team platform. So I have a Facebook support program, one of the biggest in the world. If you use Facebook regularly, join at Rob.team on Facebook because you use Facebook, the lives will just pop up in your feed. You join, you join a Facebook— what's— sorry, a Facebook WhatsApp group owned by the same company. You join a supporters Facebook group. It's really intuitive within Facebook. If you don't use Facebook much and you don't like Facebook, join my non-native platform, which is on the right-hand side. So you join through Facebook on the left and all my non-native on the right there. They do exactly the same thing, it's just that one's hosted on Facebook and one's hosted— for example, the live videos are on Zoom and I send you a link. So I am quite excited about this because I've had hundreds of new members join in the last 2 or 3 days. And I'm fully expecting this to be one of the biggest, most motivating, inspiring challenges. If you like jumping on energy and enthusiasm and passion and drive, you want a bit, you know, accountability and competition and commitment, then you need to join right now at rob.team. So, um, that's me done. Thanks for tuning in on the Instagram Live. I love you all. I'll just
