Wow, breaking news is a crypto scammer has just got 25 years in prison. I was out my walk doing my WhatsApp voice memos and the news came in and I thought I better let you know. So I'm going to share with you who's just got 25 years in prison, um, fairly notorious crypto scammer, um, and then I'm going to share with you a few little learning points from here because my mission is to help as many people on this planet get better financial knowledge. And this is a good learning moment. What's best, learning from your own mistakes or learning from other people's mistakes? I'd rather know how to not invest from other people's failures and scams than having to fail alone. So it's always a good learning environment. I'm not here going judging the person. I don't know the person. By the way, some scammers aren't always like malicious or nefarious at the start. Often a scam is a good idea at the start, but then they get greedy, or they find an easier way to make quicker money, and they can't help themselves. Or they have to, um, what they say is borrow from Peter to pay Paul, so they get a bit insolvent, and then they have to get a bit more outlandish to draw in cash. So this isn't a moral judgment, it's just a good learning moment for you. So do you know who's just been imprisoned for 25 years, sentenced today, now, for a crypto scam? Probably one of the most famous crypto scams, I'd say, ever. Um, do you know who it is? I'll let you know in a minute. Let's see if you, if you can guess. This is really important. So Few lessons here. By the way, I'm not anti-crypto, um, I love the concept of decentralization. I love the concept of taking full monopolistic money power away from the central banks and governments. But it's very easy to scam people out of money and not have a robust system. And this particular platform for this crypto scammer who's going to prison for 25 years was not a crypto platform, and it was not decentralized. It was essentially his own platform where I think it was something like $8 billion of money got sunk. So basically all these people thought they were investing in some form of cryptocurrency. They don't even know what the word means. And actually, in reality, they were just giving their money to him. So be fucking careful. So I love decentralization. But check if this crypto that you might be investing in was actually decentralized, or if you're just giving money to them. That's great lesson number 1. No one's guessed it yet, by the way. Who is the crypto scammer who's just gone down for 25 years? Breaking news right now. Okay, the next lesson then is don't put money you can't afford to lose into anything, let alone something new, risky, and volatile. Anything that's new is inherently more risky because it hasn't been proven. Anything that's volatile, i.e., you get excited because it goes up a lot, that's inherently risky because it goes down as quickly as it goes up. So if it shows all the, the hallmarks of fucking risky, then only put money you can afford to lose. Now, I don't gamble. I think that these gambling firms who lure you in with free bets, I think they're the scum of the earth. However, if I do feel like a bit of a gamble, because we all like to get lucky at times, I'll invest in an asset class that maybe is a bit risky like a crypto, but I'll invest money I can afford to lose. Because here's the thing, here's another lesson. I'm on about number 3 now. People always say never investing anything you don't understand. That's not necessarily true. Now, of course, you're going to make more money if you invest in asset classes you understand, because the more you learn, the more you earn. And it's like any class can make you money, any class could lose you money. Can you make millions in property? Yes or no? Can you lose millions in property? Yes or no? Can you make millions in the stock market? Yes or no? Can you lose millions in the stock market? Yes or no? Can you make millions in crypto, yes or no? Can you lose millions in crypto, yes or no? Can you make millions in watches and art and wine and blah blah and lose millions? Of course you can. So what's the common thread? The common thread is those that make money have the best knowledge. Those that lose money— so basically dumb money moves to smart money. So the dumb investors' money just goes to the smart investors. So When they say don't invest in anything you don't understand, well, how do you start then? You can't because you don't know anything. So actually, a little hack I created, because for me the most important thing here is accountability. So you're not going to do anything unless you really need to do it, you really want to do it, or even better, you have to do it. Inspiration, fine. Motivation, good. Desperation, really good. So let's say there's this new crypto. I got tipped off today from one of my crypto guys on this meme coin that could go to the moon, but it's highly risky. And I thought, now I don't fucking understand it. But then I thought, wait a minute, why don't I just take an amount of money? So for me, what's a punt amount of money? A grand. Like, yeah, if I lose it, whatever. So you might be 100 quid, you might be more, I don't know. But take a punt amount of money that if you lost it, you'd be annoyed, but it wouldn't hurt, and then invest it because then it's going to motivate you and incentivize you to learn it. So, you know, for example, if you try and get free education all the time, there's no reason to implement it because there's no loss because it was free. This is why free advice is worth every penny. But when you pay, you pay attention. So, you know, for example, Rob.team, it's only 20p a day. You can cancel anytime. There's no one going contract if there's no risk. But at least with a direct debit of a few quid a month coming out, you're like, I better log in. Check your bank statement. Oh yeah, I'm paying that. Better log in. If it was free, you wouldn't log in. How many free bloody PDF reports have you downloaded? How much free shit have you been given that you've never used? So my third lesson is it's not always the case that you should never invest in anything you don't understand. What you should do, though, is invest in something you don't understand, an amount of money you can afford to lose, with a desire to learn and understand it. OK, cool. So on the note of Rob.team, if you want better financial education and knowledge— because I've been on a mission for nearly 17 years to help people get better financial knowledge. I'm the author of one of the best-selling books in the world on money called Money. I just launched my new book, Money Matrix. There's the proof. I've done more than a quarter of a billion in sales. Don't forget, I've been doing this for nearly 20 years. Um, I revealed the system that the banks have created to make money out of you through inflation, tax, and interest debt, and essentially how to play the banks at their own game and create your own legalized and ethically moral monopoly. So, um, yeah, just type in rob.team. Rob.team. Just type it in. That's how you can join. Um, so the crypto scammer that's just gone down for 25 years is Sam Bankman-Fried. Crypto platform FTX got done for fraud Wire fraud, $8 billion down. I don't know how many people lost money in that because they didn't understand what they were investing in, because they thought it was decentralized and it wasn't. They thought it was a cryptocurrency platform and it wasn't. And so never invest money you can't afford to lose. Be careful of new volatile startup cryptocurrencies or investments. Scams aren't always what they seem. Sometimes scams aren't dishonest. The scams I think most people fall for, they're not the most dishonest ones. They look kind of semi-honest. That's the problem. So that being said, if you don't invest in yourself, why should anyone else? And, you know, if you don't get the edge— I'm walking in a freaking swamp here. Um, the more you learn, the more you earn. And I like to learn from other people's mistakes, not my own. I'm not here judging this guy, I don't know him. I'd much rather learn from the things that went wrong for him than have to go through that process myself. Oh, everyone, you want to learn how to do something, you've got to do it yourself. I'm not going to prison for 25 years to learn how to not do a scam like that. So actually, these are good learning moments. So I'll see you all in Rob.team before I sink in this swamp. Thanks for following my work. I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing this, because look, this isn't going to be the last crypto scam, let's be honest. There's probably more than one a day. There might be one, one a day per country. There might be 100 a day. So this message needs to get out there to protect people, because ultimately that's what I'm doing this for, to protect people. Um, so I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing this. Thanks for tuning in, really appreciate you. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
