In this 20āminute YouTube monologue, Rob Moore contrasts living and doing business in Dubai with the United Kingdom, focusing on tax regimes, public services, safety, and the entrepreneurial climate. He recounts a twoāweek recent visit to Dubai, noting the historic lack of VAT, corporate tax, and income tax (now shifting to low rates such as 5% VAT and around 7% corporate tax) versus the UKās 20% VAT, 25% corporation tax, up to 39% income tax, plus National Insurance and business rates. He cites an interview with Supercar Blondie, who describes Dubai as the safest place for a woman and claims she has paid no tax in 20 years. Moore criticises the UKās NHS, police funding, low conviction rates for serious crimes, high cost of living, and a ātallāpoppyā culture that discourages collaboration. He praises Dubaiās clean streets, low crime, government creator initiatives, goldenāvisa programs, and a collaborative business network. Acknowledging recent tax introductions in Dubai, he argues they remain far lower than UK rates and that Dubai is actively courting creators and entrepreneurs. Moore then shifts to personal financial advice: build multiple recurring income streams, learn taxāsaving strategies, and become wealthy enough that taxes feel negligible. He promotes his paid platform, rob.team, offering an 8āhour taxāsaving masterclass, weekly Zoom sessions, a community of 10,000 members, and future courses. He mentions his current study at Cambridge University (miniāMBA/AI focus) and his broader business background (UKās largest property and business training company). Finally, he invites viewers to comment on whether Dubai is a better environment than the UK, touching on political systems (democratic socialism vs benevolent dictatorship) and the need for entrepreneurialāmindset leadership in Britain.

Dubai versus the UK, especially for tax. I've just come back from Dubai. Everyone has an opinion on London is burning and broken Britain and how, how much better Dubai is. Well, I've done a lot of research and I want to share with you now what I think is going on. I'm also going to give you an opportunity even if you stay in the UK, even if you think that the UK is broken. Um, so I spent the last 2 weeks in Dubai, and, um, it used to be no VAT, no corporation tax, no income tax. In the UK, it's 20% VAT, 25% corporation tax, and up to 39% plus income tax depending on your bracket. So that's a wild difference. I interviewed Supercar Blondie out there for my podcast Disruptors, and she said to me, I've been here for 20 years, it's the safest place for a woman, um, I feel so safe here and I haven't paid a penny in tax in 20 years. I bet you hate me. And I went, yeah, I hate you. However, things are changing now. I understand it's 5% VAT in Dubai. I understandā is it 7.5% corp tax or 7%? Do your own research, of course. I'm going on what I was told out there. But still, the difference between 20% VAT and 25% corporation taxā because I actually don't mind paying tax. Everyone thinks I hate tax. I don't. I just want value. I don't expect, um, good clean bottled water for free. I don't expect Apple AirPods for free. But if I paid Ā£10 for this bottle of water and it was sparkling but there was no bubbles, or if I paid Ā£2,000 for these Apple AirPods and they didn't work, I'd be upset. And right now in the UK, we're paying 25% corp tax, 20% VAT for 39% plus income, 15% National Insurance, business rates. And what are we getting for it other than a broken NHS? My dad was 11 hours in A&E and still didn't even get properly diagnosed with what was wrong with him. Um, you know, the police are so underfunded. Crime in the UK, well, for theft and, um, basically rape, it's about a 3% conviction rate all the way through. Um, which is ridiculous. It basically means that, um, these crimes are basically legal. You go to Dubai and there's a sense of opportunity, and the infrastructure and the wealth and the development is just non-stop. And you talk to people and they want to help you, and they connect you with someone else, and let me, let me introduce you to that person and that person and that person, and let's collaborate. And in the UK, it's not introducing you, don't want you to win, or you might beat me. And they're collaborative in Dubai, that I've found, and a bit more sort of competitive and tall poppy syndrome and don't want anyone to succeed and a bit negative in the UK. Obviously the weather's not great. Obviously labor coming in, it's not great for a lot of people who want to run a business. So, um, from the research that I've done, um, Dubai is super safe. Nothing's going to get nicked from you. Dubai is super clean. You know, certainly in the main built-up areas, there doesn't seem to be a homeless person. The government are incentivizing you to go there. So they've got this creator initiative, they'll help you set up your studio, they'll give you a golden visa, they'll expedite your, um, moving over there. And London used to be that. London used to be the great tax haven of the world, and London used to be the place where if you were an immigrant and, you know, things weren't going well for you where you were, you could come over to the UK, you could move to London, and you could start up. And almost like the American dream, London was that place. And And now, now what is it? Now, um, theft and crimeā some crimes are basically legal. People go around the streets with machetes. Taxes, like, so penal. They're sendingā 20 million millionaires already left. 500,000 millionaires predicted to leave by 2028. The budget saw nearly all taxes go up. House prices ridiculously high. Cost of living ridiculously high. So that's the reality. So what can you do about it? Well, look, maybe you're not ready to move to Dubai or Lisbon or Marbella or wherever. I'm not, I'm not leaving yet. Maybe if there's another budget or two, who knows? Never say never. But what I am making sure I do for me and for you is you have to make sure that you have to make so much money that even though paying the tax hurts, it doesn't really hurt. I.e., you are so wealthy that what you've got left after tax is more than enough for you to live. That's the only way you can win unless you become politically minded or unless you, you know, push the system hard and hold it accountable, which I'm doing, endeavouring to do. So really, the best thing you can do is to make, manage, and multiply your own money, build multiple streams of recurring income. Importantly, learn the tax saving strategies and get your tax bill down. Start a company, start a side hustle, start running expenses through to drop that tax bill down, start learning how to legally avoid taxes, build a good network of entrepreneurs and mentors and accountants and specialists. And A, make more money so that if you pay tax it doesn't hurt, and B, pay less tax so you retain. Because it's not just about making it, it's about maintaining it. Something else I'm going to tell you is I have got, um, some contacts of people who are a) moving to Dubai and people also who can help people move, get the visa, get the passport to Dubai. So, um, as soon as I know that that's figured out and, and I've done the proper research I'll probably share that with you too in rob.team because more and more people I know are leaving, more and more people I know are going to Dubai. And so, you know, if I can help, um, basically de-risk that for many of you, then I'll do that. Um, I've got a contact out there who'sā she does more than $10 million a year in her business in profit, and she moved there 20 years ago, and she's connected me with the person that helped her do it. 'Cause it's getting more and more serious now. And when you don't feel safe for your children, that's when things become very serious. Thank you for all the thank yous. And some of you are asking, what am I doing here at Cambridge University? I'm actually doing kind of like a mini MBA master's course, which is also AI related. And because I continually educate myself, I've brought my senior team here, paid for all them to come. So the more you learn, the more you earn. So I'm only asking for 20 pence a day, less than half the price of Netflix for Rob.team. Whereas I'm putting, you know, you are your best asset, invest in yourself wisely, you pay yourself the best return. So that's why I'm continually investing myself and continually learning. You know, I want to develop my business strategy. I want to make sure I know the most about AI that I can. Um, because I've got huge goals for 2025 and 2027 and 2030. And if you'd like to grab my coattails, because we've done more than a quarter of a billion in sales already, we have the UK's largest property and business training company. So if you'd like to kind of, um, get the trickle-down effect of that and learn what I have experienced for 20 years, and also what I keep learning, you can get a lot of it in rob.team for less than 20p a day, cancel anytime, no ongoing contract. So the link is rob.team. So let me know in the comments. Number 1, do you think Dubai is a better, more attractive place than the UK for safety, for security, for leadership? You know, in the UK we've got a very socialist, almost communist leadership mentality, Marxist for sure. Um, whereas in Dubai, yes, there it's, um, you know, not a democracy Um, it's a dictatorship, but if you have a benevolent dictator, you could argue that's better than our political system right now. Um, so yeah, um, let me know what you think of Dubai versus the UK. Um, they are introducing taxes in Dubai, but they're still really low. They seem to love entrepreneurship. They want to bring over all the creators, influencers, and entrepreneurs there, and I think that they're, um, creating a compelling offer. This is what London used to be. London isn't this anymore. And I'm hoping that Reform get in, or a business entrepreneurial-minded party, just like in America where you've got Trump and Elon Musk and all these people who are entrepreneurially minded. This is what we need, I believe, in the UK. Let me know what you think in the comments. I really appreciate you. I'll see you in Rob.team. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything. Dubai or London? What are you saying?
