In this live‑style YouTube commentary, the host discusses Elon Musk’s recent tweet that his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter is on hold. He examines Musk’s concern over Twitter’s reported 5 % fake‑account rate, suggesting the true figure may be higher, and explains the financial stakes, including a $1 billion termination fee for either party and the 25 % drop in Twitter’s share price following the announcement. The host frames the deal as a fight for free speech, criticizing de‑platforming, shadow‑banning, and algorithmic manipulation, and argues that banned figures like Donald Trump should be allowed back if they have not broken the law. He also touches on broader themes such as the role of billionaires, their taxation, and the strained relationship between wealthy entrepreneurs and governments. Throughout, he urges viewers to share their thoughts, emphasizing the market‑moving power of Musk’s tweets and the potential long‑term implications of the stalled acquisition.

So Elon Musk's $44 billion hold— in fact, Elon Musk has tweeted saying that the deal is on hold. Now I've heard a few people saying, oh, is Elon Musk manipulating the share price again? Um, did you notice the share price of Twitter went down 25% after his tweet saying that the Twitter deal is on hold. But, um, there's a few things here. Number one is he is questioning the number of fake accounts. Now, how can you blame him if he's been told there's 5% fake accounts on Twitter but he thinks there's more? Can't really blame him for doing his due diligence. Um, and I don't know what you think, I reckon there's probably more than 5% fake accounts on Twitter, let's be honest about that. Um, there is a $1 billion termination fee on either side of the deal. So if Elon Musk walks away before the deal is done, that will cost him a $1 billion termination fee. That's huge. It would also cost Twitter $1 billion the other way if they walked away from the deal. So obviously there's a lot to lose. Um, but yeah, um, Elon Musk— I was just doing an interview actually with John Caldwell, the news broke just before— but Elon Musk has tweeted saying that the Twitter deal is on hold. Now, I really want this Twitter deal to go through. I don't know what you think, let me know in the comments. The reason I want the Twitter deal to go through is because I think we need to stand up for free speech. We need to push against big tech social media platforms canceling, deplatforming, shadow banning, and algorithmic manipulation. We need free speech platforms and we're not getting them. And I thought a new disruptor might come into the market, you know, a startup social media platform. Trump's trying to launch his Truth App though. That's not looking like it's really made any headway yet. That's going to be hard for him. So I thought it was a bit of a genius move for Elon Musk to come in and buy Twitter because obviously Twitter's already got more than a billion— I guess it's probably got, what, 2 billion users? Um, certainly more than a billion users. So he's taking over an existing platform. He's made some waves already. He said that, you know, there's some woke cancel culture department in there, and he's looking to get rid of some people if they're a bit trigger-happy on the ban button. He's already said that he's probably going to have to, or he's probably going to let Donald Trump back on. Do you think Donald Trump should be back on Twitter? I'm just going to give you my thoughts. My thoughts are anyone should be back on Twitter if they've been banned by Twitter, as long as they haven't done anything illegal. And we shouldn't just be deplatforming platforming or canceling people because we don't agree with their opinions. So just quickly, if you're tuning in, hit the share button because this could be big news. Elon Musk has tweeted saying he's putting the Twitter deal on hold, although he did tweet later saying, um, he's still looking to do the deal, um, because there's a maybe a disagreement, um, wants more proof of these 5% fake accounts. Honestly, Do you think there's only 5% fake accounts on Twitter? Come on. So, um, if he does the diligence and realizes there's a lot more fake accounts, I don't know, could that break the deal, or is he just going to renegotiate the price? Interestingly, when he tweeted saying that the deal was on hold, Twitter share price went down 25%. Literally, Elon Musk moves the world with his tweets. Um, Christopher has said you're not surprised at all he wants Twitter at a lower price. Well, look, I know this is kind of what they do, isn't it? They get in and then they find ways to reduce the price. But you can't reduce a price on something you've agreed if you don't find anything wrong. And if I was buying Twitter and I was told there's 5% fake accounts and it was actually 20%, I'd probably not want to pay the same money. So all those people saying, oh, Elon Musk manipulating share price, you know, a lot of people moan about Elon Musk. I think it's fair play as long as it's a legitimate move. Now, of course, if they can prove there's only 5% fake accounts, then there's nothing to see here. What is it they say in Star Wars? Nothing to see here. The droids are not what you are looking for. Whatever it says. So there's nothing to see. Let's see. Um, but it is interesting, and the reason I've done this live, one is the news has just broken. Um, I think we should talk about these things a lot, and I think we should support free speech. Fight for your rights, for Donald Trump's rights, for anyone's right for free speech, and not to get cancelled or banned or deleted or shadow banned from a platform for saying, sharing their opinion, even if we don't agree with it. Now, I know some people think Donald Trump went too far. I know they think that he sort of incited violence. Did he really though? Their weapons were mobile phones, let's be honest. Um, anyway, I'd love your thoughts. Elon Musk deals on hold for buying Twitter. 5% fake accounts, whatever. I think that there's going to be more to this than there initially seems. I wouldn't be surprised if this drags out. Um, no, I didn't drink a whole bottle of wine last night, but I do get excited about sharing with you information to support free speech, to support entrepreneurs. I've just interviewed a billionaire. And he thinks billionaires should be taxed more, but he also believes that billionaires make big sacrifices and do things that others aren't prepared to do to help benefit and change the world. And there's, you know, too many people are, I think, down on the billionaires. Tax the big companies and maybe look to work with the billionaires. Why don't governments and billionaires work more together? Um, I think that they could, um— well, look, John Caldor said to me he wouldn't be so anti-Labour if Labour didn't hate on him the whole time for being a billionaire. So why is a billionaire going to want to pay any tax or help their government if the governments hate on them and everyone hates on them? Hmm, food for thought. Hit the share button, let me know what you think of the Twitter deal possibly being off. Um, and the, the tweet that Elon Musk just put out saying, you know, looking into these 5% fake accounts, share price went down 25%. Like, any tweet can literally move markets for me. Elon Musk is that powerful. Um, and do you think the deal will still happen? I think it really needs to happen. I really want it to happen. Hashtag just saying. So hit the share button. Thanks for tuning in, uh, and I'll see you for the next live. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
