In this YouTube monologue, Rob Moore praises Elon Musk for two recent actions that he frames as demonstrations of freeāspeech absolutism. First, Moore recounts how Musk responded within ten hours to a Ukrainian government officialās tweet by activating Starlink satellite broadband as a humanitarian backup for Ukraine. Second, Moore highlights Muskās public refusal to block Russian news sources on Starlink, quoting Muskās tweet: āWe will not do so unless at gunpoint. Sorry to be a freeāspeech absolutist.ā Moore uses these examples to argue that Musk is standing up for free speech against governmental and media pressure. He then broadens the discussion to criticize mainstream media and ācancel culture,ā citing personal experiences of platform censorship: a friendās Facebook live stream being shut down for mentioning āRussia,ā a YouTube video removed after a guest discussed COVIDā19ās impact on small businesses, and support for Joe Roganās battles with mainstream media. Moore also mentions recent Canadian government actions that seized bank accounts of donors to a trucking protest, portraying them as totalitarian. Throughout, he calls for more āfreeāspeech absolutists,ā invites viewers to comment, share, and support Muskās stance, and positions himself as an advocate for unrestricted speech as long as it does not involve trolling, bullying, hate, or spam.

So we have Elon Musk fighting for free speech, and I just wish more people would be like this. So a few days ago, Elon Musk was tweeted by a government official in Ukraine asking for him to give them Starlink broadband internet access. I mean, this is just a tweet, and within 10 hours Elon Musk had uplinked and got a backup internet live in Ukraine via his Starlink satellite, which I thought was an amazing thing to do. And it looks likeā I mean, I've got a tweet here from Elon Musk. Starlink has been told by some governments, not Ukraine, to block Russian news sources. So some governments have been messaging Elon Musk to try and get them to block Russian news sources. Hmm. And what's he done in true Elon Musk style? Um, we will not do so unless at gunpoint. Sorry to be a free speech absolutist. Well, I think he has maintained his integrity there, and I wish that more mainstream media would follow suit because he's done a humanitarian thing, I believe, in getting involved in giving Ukraine backup internet when it was requested within 10 hours. But when he's been pressured into blocking Russian news sources, he's not succumbed to that, and he stood for freedom of speech. Let me read you his tweet again. Starlink has been told by some governments, not Ukraine, to block Russian news sources. We will not do so unless at gunpoint. Sorry to be a free speech absolutist. Well, right now there's many wars going on. There's not just the war between Russia and Ukraine, um, and NATO and Russia, um, and what this could become, but there is a war on propaganda. There is a war on freedom of speech, a war on media cancel culture and big tech cancel culture. And I've been doing my bit to use my platform to stand for free speech. I supported Joe Rogan against mainstream media and other puppets of mainstream media who are trying to cancel him, um, because, you know, I think Joe Rogan is great, but it's not just about Joe Rogan. It's about your ability to do a podcast, my ability to do a live, It's absolutely crazy. One of my friends, his live got shut down and he still hasn't been able to post on Facebook just because he put the word Russia in the title of his live. And I had a YouTube video which got my account shut down for a whole week because my guestā not me, my guestā said COVID has been hard for small business. These are truths. So it's ridiculous. And so just good on Elon Musk for standing on, you know, for free speech when he could have easily got embroiled into, you know, politicalā well, basically embroiled into war through politics. And I just think it's a really nice thing that, you know, he stood for free speech. And whilst he supported Ukraine, he didn't get involved in shutting down media outlets through his Starlink broadband connection. So I just thought it would be nice to share a bit of this good news. Let me know what you think of it. I think we need more people to take the lead and stand up for freedom of speech and push against mainstream media and push against political powers. I think it's absolutely outrageous what's been going on in Canada where governments have been blocking and freezing and seizing bank accounts just for donating towards the trucking protest, when really the government should be taking responsibility you know, not resorting to totalitarianism and dictatorship, which is, you know, going on in the world. It seems crazy times. So let me know what you think. Do you think Elon Musk is doing the right thing by, you know, not bowing to media pressure? Let me just read his tweet again. He said Starlink has been told by some governments, brackets, not Ukraine, to block Russian news sources We will not do so unless at gunpoint. Sorry to be a free speech absolutist. Well, I think more of us should be free speech absolutists.
