Elon Musk to Pay $11bn in Tax 😳 (RANT!)

In this impassioned solo rant, the speaker reacts to Elon Musk’s tweet that he will pay over $11 billion in taxes this year. The speaker challenges the prevailing narrative that billionaires avoid taxes, arguing that entrepreneurs like Musk generate massive tax revenue through corporate tax, VAT, national insurance, and employment. The rant criticises politicians—particularly Senator Elizabeth Warren—and the media for misunderstanding capitalism and the role of entrepreneurs. It posits that governments are inefficient at allocating tax money, whereas an entrepreneur would invest the $11 billion into innovation, growth, and job creation. The speaker repeatedly asks viewers to consider whether they would rather give that money to the government or to a billionaire entrepreneur, and calls for active support of small businesses. Throughout, the video includes multiple calls to action: share the video, tag small businesses in the comments, and promote a grassroots campaign to protect and fund local enterprises. The speaker also references UK tax rates, pandemic restrictions, and personal calculations suggesting a high personal tax burden, using these points to underscore the perceived misallocation of public funds.

So Elon Musk has just announced on Twitter that he's going to be paying $11 billion in tax this year. Let me know what you think in the comments about that. I've got a very strong opinion on whether this is good or bad, right or wrong. I'm going to share it with you in a moment. I'm going to give you the announcement of exactly what's happened and why this has happened. Now, there have been campaigns against the super rich. The super rich, the billionaires. We should be taxing all their money. We don't need any billionaires. And Elon Musk seems to like to play games on his Twitter and have a bit of fun and banter. He did a vote as to whether he should sell billions worth of shares. The votes were yes in favor. He sold billions of dollars of shares. So Elon Musk is pretty disruptive on Twitter. Now Elon Musk has just said on Twitter he'll be paying $11 billion in taxes this year, and a lot of people are going to be saying, oh, finally a billionaire pays loads of tax. Well, I actually don't agree with that, so let me know what you think in the comments. So the announcement is, um, Elon Musk tweeted saying, for those wondering, I will pay over $11 billion in taxes this year. Now, Mr. Musk has been embroiled in a public debate on social media over how much tax he pays. Earlier this week, Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren tweeted that Mr. Musk should stop freeloading off everyone else. I'm sorry, but that's just utter nonsense. Who is this Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren? A billionaire freeloading off everyone else? What, a billionaire making a battery patent, um, usable for all of his competitors, basically changing the world in the way that we travel and helping us rely less on fossil fuels, which kill the environment, hiring tens or hundreds of thousands of staff, building a rocket, getting us into space, inspiring the masses, 60 million followers on Twitter. Who is this woman? Elon Musk is one of the most valuable people in the world, and not just because he's a billionaire, because of the products and services that he creates that helps the planet. And these politicians who are like trolling him to pay more taxes and that he's freeloading off everyone else do not understand capitalism, do not understand enterprise and how it all works. Anyway, it seems that Elon Musk's got more than enough money that he can just do what he wants. So, um, he even said on Twitter, he said, if you can show me how, how you'll invest enough money to get rid of poverty— because apparently it was said that Musk's got enough money that he could give in taxation to get rid of world poverty, to feed billions of people— so he said, fine, show me how you can do that and I'll pay that. And they didn't show that. So, um, Elon Musk's tweet: for those wondering, I will pay over $11 billion in taxes this year. I think this is an absolute travesty. I think this is one of the worst things that can happen, and people are going to disagree with me on this, and that's okay because everyone is entitled to my opinion. Let me ask you this question: who would you rather give $11 billion of your money to? Your government or Elon Musk? Let me know in the comments. Would you rather give $11 billion of your hard-earned tax-paid money to do good for society and humankind? Would you rather give it to your government and the politicians or Elon Musk or a billionaire entrepreneur creator? Let me know who you'd rather give it to, because a lot of people are going to be saying, oh yeah, this is great, finally, now every other billionaire should be selling all their stock and paying billions in tax. And then goes into the government coffers, and then what happens to it? Because I don't think people are that comfortable and confident with how the taxation revenue is being distributed. A philanthropist, exactly. Josephine would give her £11 billion to a philanthropist. Elon Musk is a philanthropist. Jeff Bezos, he gets loads of stick. Jeff Bezos was the highest donating philanthropist in 2019, giving something like £10 billion to climate change. So people on social media, you know, especially the socialist types, are gonna be like, oh yeah, finally, yeah, now every other billionaire should be paying billions in tax. And what are the government going to do with it? Someone has just said there, sorry, you're wrong, this is not income tax. I didn't say it was income tax. I said Elon Musk will be paying $11 billion in taxes this year because that's what he said. And by the way, many people when they say, "Ah, billionaires don't pay any tax," they don't know what they're talking about. What about the VAT generated? What about the employer's national insurance, the employee's national insurance? What about the corp tax? What about the income tax? What about the business rates? So a lot of people say, "Oh, billionaires don't pay any tax." They don't fucking know what they're talking about. They have no idea what they're talking about. The billionaires generate the most jobs, the most taxation. Now, okay, they might be trying to reduce their corp tax or their income tax. You would too, especially if you knew where it went and how it was spent or invested. Give me— be right, let's be honest here. Come on, let's, um, let me know what you think in the comments. Are you comfortable that all your tax revenue gets invested and spent wisely? Why is the NHS fucked? Why are they not investing into that? There's roadworks all the time. My city is literally gone to shit. So I've just paid over £300,000 in tax and I've got a lot more coming in January, and I go into my town centre and it is dilapidating. John Lewis, the main department store, left. What are they doing with the money? So let me know again, would you rather give £11 billion of your tax-earned money to an entrepreneur, philanthropist, billionaire or your government? Let me know, let me know your comments. So I actually think this is really bad. A lot of people are going to be like, oh yeah, this is really good, all the socialists, yeah, yeah, get the billions of the billionaires. Do you know what Elon Musk would do with $11 billion? He'd put it into innovation, creation, production. Are governments going to put $11 billion into innovation, creation, and production. Now Josephine have said that Finland have high taxation. That's fine if the standard of living is really high. I think people would probably be happier with paying tax if the public health service was really good, if the state of their cities was really good, if the local small businesses were supported. Now we're having all these new rules— not mandates, rules— on can't go out with a mask, can't go into shops or anything like that, stay at home, cancel your Christmas. Yet they're not pouring the money back into the small businesses that they're stopping from trading and generating revenue. So I actually think it's really freaking bad that Elon Musk is paying $11 billion in tax this year because I think he'd use the money better. Innovation, growth, employment, enterprise. All right, what have we got here? Um, last week Mr. Musk was named Time magazine's Person of the Year. That prompted Senator Warren to tweet, let's change the rigged tax code so the Person of the Year will actually pay taxes. This woman doesn't know what she's talking about. I mean, she's, she's a senator and she said Basically that Elon Musk doesn't pay any tax. That's a fucking lie. She doesn't know what she's talking about. He would generate billions in taxation. Entrepreneurs generate so much tax, so much enterprise, so much employment. Like I said, there's VAT generated, there's corp tax, there's income tax, there's national insurance times 2, there's stealth taxes, there's business rates, there's all sorts of taxes generated. By employers and entrepreneurs. And people just look at, uh, income tax, you're not paying tax, you pay no tax. And these people are leading the country. They don't know shit. Thankfully this is American and not British. Um, what I do love about Elon Musk is, you know, these political campaigners and socialists and whoever else, you know, they speak on Twitter And, oh, billionaires should be taxed more and shouldn't do this. And then he just goes, all right then, well, um, make a vote. Oh, okay, you vote I should sell my shares, I'll sell my shares. Uh, you vote I should pay more tax, I'll pay more tax. I would— do you think that the government will give us and Elon Musk, the American government, a detailed report on how they're going to invest that $11 billion? No, no, they're not. Right, please hit the share button. This message needs to get out there because actually, do you know what, the best way I believe to grow the economy, to grow the country, to create jobs, to turn the economy round, is to invest in entrepreneurs because entrepreneurs are creators and they have to be. Entrepreneurs have to be legally solvent, so they have to grow, they have to evolve. And by the way, a government is a legally insolvent enterprise. So governments are legally allowed to run being insolvent, which means there's no incentive for growth and production. There's short-term incentive based on a political campaign or a short term. You know, someone who's in for a 4-year term isn't thinking 20 years down the line, whereas an entrepreneur who builds a business and hires thousands of staff is thinking 10, 20, 50 years down the line. Elon Musk is thinking 100 years down the line. So protect the small business. Now if you have a small business, please share it in the comments. I am trying to do my best to run little campaigns on all of my content to protect the small businesses. So if you have a small business, put your, um, business name, link, tell us a bit about your product or service and put it in the comments. Then hit the share button so that many other people can see this content too. And if you want to, tag in any small businesses that you know. Someone has said here, a businessman. Yeah, I'm a businessman. Without all the businessmen and women and entrepreneurs, where do you think all the innovation comes from? The innovation doesn't come from the intellectuals. The innovation does not come from the politicians. It doesn't. All innovation comes from tinkerers who are entrepreneurs. Testers, hackers, entrepreneurs who, by the way, if we don't innovate and evolve, we die and we lose our business. So we're incentivized to do so, whereas if a politician doesn't innovate or evolve, it doesn't matter. They can keep their job. They can keep their job for years. The motives are all wrong in politics and government. And yet people are going to be celebrating that Elon Musk has just paid $11 billion in tax, or he will this year. I think we should not be celebrating it. I think— look, I would love to do a test. Give Elon Musk $10 billion, give his government $10 billion, and right, let's do a competition on— let's do a YouTube video competition. Who can invest $10 billion more wisely? Who's going to win at the end? It's freaking obvious. No one in— no one watching surely can say that a government will invest $11 billion better than Elon Musk? And if you can, put your argument in the comments. I'm all up for open, constructive debate, by the way. Now make sure you're following me, whatever channel you're on. It's really important because I'm doing a lot of content to help support the small business. Because in the UK, only yesterday has the government started to put in place some support measures for small businesses. They've been removing their ability to earn, massive cancellations over Christmas. Because of their rules and guidelines around the Omicron variant. I'm not saying that what they're doing around Omicron is right or wrong. I don't know. I don't know the science. But what I do know is if you take away the opportunity to earn money for a small business, you must support them. Because if you kill the 5 million small businesses in the UK, you kill the entire economy. Because up to 90% of the economy and the employment is driven by small business. So you ruin their ability to earn, fine, if it's justified, then you must financially support them. And do you know what I wrote to my MP? And the MP came back and said, well, we're not actually, um, mandating COVID passports because you just have to get a lateral flow test. So basically said, we abdicate all responsibility for the decisions we're making. It's ridiculous. So please hit the share button. None of us want to see unemployment go up. Next thing is tag a small business in the, in the comments because I want to support as many small businesses as possible. I did a video yesterday, it's had nearly 350,000 views and there are thousands of comments and there are thousands of small businesses like you that are able to pitch and present and promote themselves on my content. So I want you to do the same. Whatever your small business is, share it in the comments. Feel free to link and pitch at will. If you gain a client or two out of my content, that's better than what most people are trying to do or not do. The next thing is please share this video. This isn't just about Elon Musk paying $11 billion in taxes. This is a fight and a push to make sure that our governments are investing our tax money wisely. And if you believe they are, let me know. But I think that people feel that tax money could be invested more wisely. And by the way, is tax going down or up? Hahaha! VAT is still 20% in the UK. Why have they not dropped it in light of this inability to trade freely? Corp tax has actually gone up from 19% to 25%. That's a one-third rise. Why? If our ability to trade has been restricted, why are our taxes going up? Income tax is still really high. National Insurance just went up 25%, and they double dip on it. They charge the employer and the employee. Business rates has not gone down. Do you know, I worked this out. How much tax do you reckon you pay? Every pound you earn or spend, how much tax do you reckon you pay? Because I worked this out. On all the money that I earn and then what I buy, I pay 70% tax, 70 pence in the pound. I'm working 7 out of 10 hours for the government. Now, if the city is beautiful and the services like the NHS are amazing and not overrun, fine, good, okay. But really? But if you don't stand up for this, nothing's going to change. I don't think getting a few thousand, um, petition signatures is going to help. I don't think writing to your MP is going to help. But I think sharing my videos and you doing videos yourselves and jumping in on this campaign to support and save the small business and tag small— tagging small businesses into this thread. I can see loads of people sharing their, their businesses. Please support local small businesses. I sell hundreds of thousands of books, and do you know who I use? A local book printing company in Peterborough. We spend hundreds of thousands a year on stationery, and do you know who we use? Our local stationery supplier. Someone has said turn your voice down, you're loud. I'm not too loud for no reason. What am I just going to say, that we must stand up against this? No, I'm passionate about this. You turn down your trolley for no reason. Support your local business. People are always saying, oh well, support your local business, Amazon ruining small business. Now's your chance and now's your time to stand up. So here's how you can do it. You don't have to do much. Number 1, share this video on your social media channels. Do it now, share the video. Number 2, tag in a small business that you think needs support. A pub, a bar, a club, a restaurant, a hairdresser. It's not just leisure and retail and travel that's going to be hit. You know, construction could really be hit, for example. Tag in a small business. And then number 3, share in the comments what your small business does and how it helps people. I want to help you, but we have to stand together. So quick summary: Elon Musk says he'll be paying $11 billion in tax this year. You know, a lot of politicians are having a go at him like he pays no tax. They have no understanding of how entrepreneurs generate taxation revenue, no understanding whatsoever. They have no understanding that any tax that they save by reducing corp tax and reducing income tax actually gets fed back into the business to grow and innovate the business, because the business doesn't grow unless you reinvest back into it. And then that creates more jobs and more tax revenue and more business rates and more VAT. And yet these are the guys running our country. These— they should fucking know this stuff, and they don't have a clue. And they attack them on Twitter. And now Elon Musk says, fine, I'm paying $11 billion in taxes. What are you going to do with the money? And I think this is a travesty, because I think that $11 billion will not be anywhere near as well invested by a government than it will by an entrepreneur like Elon Musk. That's just my opinion. Okay, so hit the share button. Tag a small business in the thread, share your small business, and let me know what you think in the comments. I love you all. Thanks for following my work. Thanks for tuning in. And remember this: if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
