So Elon Musk's Twitter takeover bid has been rejected by Twitter. Elon Musk seems to be pushing to buy and privatize Twitter. He believes they could be more of a free speech platform and could be utilized better as a private company, but Twitter have not accepted his bid and they value it, I think, around $18 to $20 a share more than he does. So I'm going to update you with what's going on. I don't know if you saw the news breaking recently, but Elon Musk put in a $40-odd billion offer to buy Twitter. He believes it could be a pure free speech platform. He wants to privatize it and turn it into this free speech platform. I feel like social media has needed this for a decade. Our freedom of speech has been dying slowly on big tech and social media. It's a paradox because we all benefit from social media, and these social media platforms are free to use, and it is their platforms, and I understand the responsibility that we as creators have. It's their platform. However, over time, as they gain more control and they censor more and deplatform more and cancel more, and the algorithms force narratives and one-sided views and polarity and is used for political influence, then I believe we must push back and we must hold big tech and social media and our governments accountable. For decentralization, for freedom of speech. Now, um, whilst Elon Musk has had his Twitter bid rejected, he says he has a plan B, but he hasn't yet announced or revealed what that plan B is. But look, I know Elon Musk has his critics, but I believe he's one of the genuine billionaires out there, and I believe that he really is a proponent of free speech. I believe he's proven that because he gave Ukraine Starlink internet connection when they were struggling to get internet, and other governments were trying to stop him and get him to suffocate information flow for Russia. And he said that he is a freedom of speech purist, and he declined to use his powers as a billionaire and having satellite internet connection to restrict information for Russia. So I think that's a really good thing, because if we do not fight for not just our own freedom of speech, but everybody's freedom of speech, even the people you don't agree with, then it is the beginning of the end. They tried to cancel Joe Rogan, they failed. The mainstream media are trying to cancel anyone who doesn't have a mainstream media narrative. Anyone who has a polarized or opposing opinion against mainstream media narrative, it's either the algorithms either shut it down, or worse, it's canceled. You're canceled or deplatformed or banned. I know a lot of my followers have experienced this themselves. I've experienced it a lot. So I'm a big fan of Elon Musk privatizing Twitter and making them a pure free speech platform, not just because of Twitter, because then probably YouTube and Facebook, etc., TikTok, um, they will have to follow suit because everyone, I believe, is pissed off with being canceled and, um, algorithmed and deplatformed and shadow banned. Let me know what you think, by the way. Do you think this is a smart move by Elon Musk? Do you support Elon Musk's desire to privatize Twitter and what he believes to use it for its full potential and therefore hopefully create a competitive element to Um, have more free speech across other social platforms? Let me know what you think. So let me just give you the update. By the way, please hit the share button. This is massive news. It is really big news. It's bigger than I think we all realize, and I really want to push to support Elon Musk to be able to privatize Twitter. I thought the next, um, free speech platform would be a new disruptive startup social media platform, you know, maybe like Rumble or Zion or others, but it's really hard for small disruptive social platforms to compete with big tech. It's really hard. So actually, I think someone taking over an existing one, like Elon Musk taking over Twitter, that's a very smart play. But when I say smart play, I think it's good for society if we can have a big mainstream big tech social platform become pure, full free speech, and then all the others have to go, oh, wait a minute. Ooh. So let me know what you think. Hit the share button. Phyllis said we need this so badly. I believe the world needs this so badly. So Elon Musk trying to buy Twitter. It's so far been rejected because they value it at nearly £20 a share more. Elon Musk wants to privatise Twitter and make it a free speech platform. He believes it's a key societal imperative. I definitely agree with that. Let me know what you think. Um, he believes that— let me have a look here— um, Twitter will neither thrive nor serve the societal imperative in its current form. He made a best and final offer of $54.20 per share. Wasn't accepted, though. Um, they were discussing it, of course, within the board. They would. Um, but Elon Musk said, if my offer isn't accepted, I will have to reconsider my position as the company's largest shareholder, although Vanguard— is it Vanguard or BlackRock? It's Vanguard, I think— have just become, uh, Twitter's biggest shareholder. Twitter values itself at more than $70 a share. So this is really, really interesting. Um, Twitter's chief executive told the company that they were evaluating the approach of Elon Musk but said that Twitter will not be held hostage. Elon Musk is actually now saying that he's not sure he will actually be able to acquire Twitter. He says he has a plan B, and he also said he thinks it's very important for there to be an inclusive arena for free speech. If you believe in free speech, hit the share button. If you believe in free speech, why don't you stand up and speak out and maybe support Elon Musk or anyone like him looking to privatize a big tech firm and create free speech, and then maybe the rest of the big tech platforms will have to follow suit because they will lose users. The world needs free speech now in a world of big tech and mainstream media canceling, you know, algorithmic control, deplatforming, banning, or shadow banning. And things need to change, and we need to stand up, and we need to speak out. Elon Musk, if you want a bit of support, I've got your back. Come on the Disruptors Podcast. I've got millions of subscribers and listeners, and I would support your bid to take over Twitter. And if you need a few mil, I'll help you out. I haven't got a few bil, though, unfortunately. But let me know what you think. Hit the share button. At the moment, Elon Musk is trying to acquire Twitter. He's made an offer. They've rejected it. They value it at nearly $20 a share more. He said he maybe is going to fail in his bid, but he has a plan B, and he believes it's a social imperative for Twitter to become private and a free speech platform.
