Facebook Media War With Putin ⛔️

In this YouTube monologue, Rob Moore discusses the escalating information conflict between Facebook (and its parent company Meta) and Russian President Vladimir Putin. He explains that Putin has blocked access to Facebook in retaliation for the platform’s removal of state‑owned media outlets RT and Sputnik from the EU, while Facebook accuses Russia of silencing millions of ordinary users from friends, family, and reliable news. Moore critiques both big‑tech deplatforming practices and governmental censorship, arguing that restricting money and information flows is preferable to armed conflict. He stresses the importance of consuming balanced media, warns against propaganda, and calls for peace over war. The speaker also promotes his entrepreneurial focus, announcing a shift of his podcast from “Disruptive Entrepreneur” to “Disruptors,” which will now feature political interviews alongside business content. He mentions upcoming guests, subscription‑free access, and resources for personal branding. Moore highlights a new Russian law imposing a 15‑year jail term for spreading “fake news” about the military, questioning who defines fake news. Throughout, he urges viewers to share, comment, and engage in dialogue, emphasizing that collective voices can hold power accountable.

Facebook and the US are in a major media war with Putin, and there's a lot of freedom of speech violations going on right now which have built a head of steam even before the war, and now it's all coming out. And there's more than one war going on right now. Now, I've been saying for a long time you have to be very careful with what you believe in the media and try and get some balanced sources. And this, um, is evidence of that further. So let me tell you what's, uh, going on right now in case you didn't know. So, um, Facebook are in a full-scale media war with Putin. Now, they're of course blaming each other, But Putin has completely blocked access to Facebook in retaliation for the platform placing restrictions on state-owned media. So Putin has now blocked all access to Facebook in his country, uh, and to me that is a violation of freedom of information. Um, Putin has also restricted access to Twitter and Instagram. Now, Putin is saying, um, that it was in retaliation to Facebook, and Facebook are saying the opposite. But, um, Facebook and Instagram, owned by the same company, removed Russia Today and Sputnik from their output in the European Union this week. Um, Russia said there's been 26 cases of discrimination against their media by Facebook since October 2020. Now I'm just gonna say it, there could be some truth in that because there's no doubt that much of big tech has been suppressing content, has been banning and shadow banning, has been deplatforming, uh, and you know, there's no smoke without fire. So I actually can't sit here and say This is a one-sided issue. However, people have been asking me, you know, do I think that cutting off the money supply, um, is a good thing? Well, I think cutting off the money supply to and from Putin and Russia is better than sending in the tanks, the planes, and the bombs. So if the money supply is being cut off and then the information supply is being cut off, I would much rather see that than war. My own personal individual naive opinion. I don't know what you think. But, you know, if we have to go in with the guns and the planes and the tanks, NATO, whoever, then this could escalate into a world war. And I'm an entrepreneur and I really want to focus on helping entrepreneurs start and scale their business. Get better financial education and knowledge. Make money and make a difference. Build your personal brand. But there will be none of that if there's a world war. None of that. So mainstream media is not innocent. Big tech social media is not innocent. However, of course, you know, I think that it's much better to restrict information and money flow than it is start a world war or retaliate and create a world war. Um, so now Facebook have hit back. So there literally is an information war going on right now. So Facebook has hit out and hit back at the ban on its platforms introduced by Putin on Friday amid the ongoing war in Ukraine. Um, the president of global affairs at Facebook, um, said millions of ordinary Russians, um, from reliable information will be cut off and deprived of communications with friends and family and have therefore been silenced from speaking out. He's gone on to say— so, uh, Callum has said open your eyes. Please let us know in the comments what you think is really going on, because everyone in my comments seems to know what's really going on. I, I can't tell you what's really going on because unless you're best mates with Putin, unless you're, you know, you're Mark Zuckerberg's uncle Um, unless you're in the White House, I actually don't think anyone knows what's going on. But you know, someone's putting here Agenda 30, the, you know, the, the Great Reset, own nothing, be happy, all of this stuff. Do you really know that though? Do you really, really know that? I would love some proper evidence, some research, some links. And by the way, I'm open to all of our opinions, and I'd love to get the discussion going, so let me know what you think in the comments. I know the information that's vital in this war and in the freedom of speech and in COVID. I know there's vital information we are not being given. So I think it's absolutely vital you get a balanced outlet of media sources. What I do know though is war is not the answer. Make peace, not war. Make love, not war. Make treaties, not war. It's ridiculous. We surely should be a more evolved humanity. Surely. If you agree, make peace, not war, hit the share button right now. If you think that war is not the answer, and the banishing of freedom of speech and the cancel culture and the deplatforming, if you think that is not the answer, please hit the share button. Okay. So the White House has said it's deeply concerned by Putin's decision to block off the U.S. company Facebook, and they believe it's a move to choke off information. Yeah, they're all trying to choke off information to each other. Of course they are. Information is power. Wars need information. Wars need money. Of course NATO are doing it too, cutting off the money supply to Russia, throwing all the sanctions. Even the oligarchs and the Russian billionaires. So, hmm. Natasha said you won't get balance. So as long as you know that what you're consuming is either opinion or propaganda, then it's okay, as long as you know. Good point here made by Niali. Ego will die for itself. Man, yeah. Ego has an upside, but man, it has a lot to answer for. Thank you for the stars there, Liam. So I've been saying all along that fear screams loudest when it's dying. A billionaire mentor of mine said that to me. Fear screams loudest when it's dying. And I believe that, you know, big global governments and mainstream media outlets and dictators or totalitarian regimes, I believe they're acting out of fear, and fear screams loudest when it's dying. Fear is not the answer. You know, there's no doubt that the Canadian government, they must have been scared with all the trucking protests. That's why I believe they violated human rights by giving themselves permission to seize and freeze any money flow linked to the trucking protest. That is a fear-based decision. War is a fear-based decision. Fear screams loudest when it's dying. Power and control and globalization and mainstream media, it is dying. I really believe it is. Oh, and by the way, no one's talking about COVID anymore. Oh, I mean, we've had Brexit, then COVID, then Putin. Jeez, talk about bad luck coming in threes. What's next? Hopefully some good news. Yeah, fear equals control. Exactly, Ty. So please hit the share button. Now, why am I interrupting my usual content around business and entrepreneurship and money? Well, look, every day I'm also doing that, um, that content, but I changed my podcast Disruptive Entrepreneur to Disruptors because I wanted to use my platform for good and take responsibility for the fact that, you know, I now have over a million followers and I think it's my duty and responsibility to serve humanity, not just, you know, entrepreneurs. So I've actually started to get some world leaders and some people in the area of politics on my show, Disruptors. Now I will still have 80% of the content on business and entrepreneurship— start your business, scale your business, get better financial education and knowledge. I've got 3 billionaires coming soon, but I will address these world political views um, because we can't ignore them. So if you would like to subscribe to my podcast Disruptors, it will always be free. There will never be a subscription charge. I hardly run any ads. You can go to robmoore.com/pod. Robmoore.com/pod. I'm in talks, and don't tell anyone this, but I'm in talks with Rishi, Rishi Sunak. So, um, look, you know, I think it's important. So, um, it's robmoore.com/pod. On the other side, on the thank you page, you can subscribe either on iTunes or non-Apple devices. Go do that now. Um, by the way, I'm going to do a video tomorrow because, you know, the, um, Putin— they've just allowed a, a law Now there is a 15-year jail term for spreading fake news about the military. What an irony. Let's be honest, governments and mainstream media are the worst for spreading fake news. And now there is going to be a 15-year jail term for spreading fake news. But who decides what that fake news is? And by the way, people get less than that for murder. The world is fucked. Shit. Please hit the share button. Please stand with me. Stand against war. Stand for peace, for treaty, for agreement. At least agree to disagree. That's why we have borders. We have borders because different countries do things in different ways and have different cultures and values and beliefs. So let's agree the borders and stop invading over them. And be careful what you consume in mainstream media. Propaganda 2.0. Okay, quick summary. Please hit the share button. Facebook are at war with Putin on media. Putin's completely blocked access to Facebook. Facebook are saying that that's, um, you know, depriving millions of access to friends and family and information. They're each accusing each other, um, you know, of blocking information. Big Tech's not innocent. Let me know what you think. By the way, um, there's a lot of comments here. I'm going to get in the comments, have a chat with you. Um, remember that fear screams loudest when it's dying, and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything. Facebook's retaliation. Um, blocking Facebook would cut off millions of ordinary Russians from reliable information deprive them of communications with friends and family, and mean they are silenced from speaking out. Whilst I agree with that, by the way, I think there's some irony in that. There is definitely some irony in that. Big Tech. We will continue to do everything we can to restore our services so they remain available to people to safely and securely express themselves and organize for action. I do believe it is important that we should all be able to have free access to information. So I don't agree with either side on what they're doing, to be quite honest. But Putin has completely blocked access to Facebook in retaliation for the platform placing restrictions on state-owned media. That's what's going on in the world. Make sure you tune in tomorrow morning, by the way, because I'm going to comment on 15-year jail term for fake news about the military. That's longer than murder for some cases.
