Harry & Meghan Lose $100m Netflix Deal

In this YouTube commentary, the speaker critiques Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s $100 million Netflix contract and a $40‑plus million Spotify podcast deal, arguing that the royals provide little value for the massive payments and impose costs on taxpayers through security and public appearances. The speaker extracts three entrepreneurial lessons: (1) creators must deliver tangible value—preferably on a per‑episode or performance‑based basis—rather than accepting large upfront sums; (2) effective brand and public‑relations management is essential to maintain likability and avoid backlash; (3) maintaining good relationships with key stakeholders (family, the public, and institutions) is crucial for long‑term success. The commentary draws a contrast with Joe Rogan’s high‑value podcast model and repeatedly promotes the speaker’s own platform, Rob.team, which offers courses, masterclasses, and tax‑saving strategies aimed at helping viewers build businesses, generate multiple income streams, and reduce tax liabilities. The tone is combative toward Harry and Meghan, persuasive about the lessons, and heavily promotional of the speaker’s services.

Harry and Meghan lose $100 million Netflix deal. Um, this is a report coming out of Dan Wootton, Outspoken. I've got 3 big lessons from this, um, because I think this is quite a disgrace. Now, um, I don't know what you think about Harry and Meghan, all their personal life stuff, not really that relevant. I didn't like how they threw the King and the royal family under the bus and accuse them of things that, you know, are quite detrimental to the royal family, a huge institution in this country. Seems to be everything is just about, you know, their own importance and ego. And, you know, they've gone so far extreme left that if anyone says anything against them, you know, they must be canceled and silenced and deplatformed. And they're quite happy for people to be imprisoned just for, um, you know, sharing extreme opinion on social media. Um, but the thing that sickens me the most, by the way, um, is how they've squandered these massive deals that they've done. So, um, they have a $100 million 5-year contract with Netflix, and I don't know if you can tell me if you've seen anything of value by them on Netflix. And do you know they did a deal worth tens of millions? I think it was something like 40-odd million with Spotify for podcasts. Have you ever listened to a Harry and Meghan podcast? Have— has the world felt value from a Harry and Meghan podcast or a Harry and Meghan Netflix series? Now look, if they're providing value, and that could be entertainment as well as education, then I embrace them earning hundreds of millions. But the thing is, they have this really extravagant lifestyle where, you know, they want everyone to pay for them. They've got massive security detail that costs millions, and they want to swan around the world being paid tens of millions of pounds just to sit on sofas at big keynote events and just talk generic waffle. And to me, that's just not right. It's not a good use of money. So, and they've been, they've been schmoozing up apparently the wife of the co-CEO, or yeah, chief executive of Netflix, obviously desperately trying to preserve this $100 million 5-year contract, which if they don't get that deal will probably mean they're broke and will probably mean that the King and the UK will have to come and bail them out, and they'll probably cost us tens of millions a year in taxpayers' money. And that really fucks me off. It's, it's fundamentally really wrong. So I've got a few little lessons for Harry and Meghan and you, actually, um, because I, I don't, um, begrudge them earning tens of millions. Absolutely I do not. But the first lesson is you need to provide value. Um, in a way, I think Spotify and Netflix were kind of stupid to pay them upfront. And I wouldn't have paid them upfront if I was Spotify or Netflix. I wouldn't even have paid them a penny upfront. I'd have paid them per episode. So I think, did Meghan do about 7 episodes? 40-odd million upfront, 7 episodes. Well done, Meghan. Well done on your 7 episodes. Woohoo! I've done 1,350 episodes. Where's my fucking 50 million, Spotify? So the first most important thing in life if you want to earn well is you've got to provide value. Now it doesn't have to be education or information, it can be entertainment. Look at the Furies. Did you see the Furies documentary? That was so entertaining, it was interesting, it was a bit educational, it was fascinating, it appealed to a lot of people. Harry and Meghan could have easily done that. And probably earned more than £100 million in a bigger contract. They easily could have done. But, you know, they don't seem to care about providing value. They just want to sponge off the UK, you know, abandon and abolish and throw the Royal Family under the bus. Now, Peter has said here, who cares? Peter, I did think about not posting about this, but there's a lot of valuable lessons, and I actually do care. I don't care on their opinion and what they want to do with their life. It's up to them. But if they're using that as a marketing tool and costing our country tens of millions and charging Netflix and Spotify hundreds of millions and offering no value, I actually do fucking care. And you should care as well, I think. For example, compare them to Joe Rogan. Joe Rogan, massive value, thousands of podcast episodes, really fascinating, interesting, and sometimes risky conversations. For sure, Harry and Meghan can learn a lot from Joe Rogan. So actually provide some freaking value, number one. Number two is you've got to look after your brand and manage your brand well. You know, I think that they haven't got a great brand. I think that they're so insecure and they just want, um, everyone to love them instead of being valuable and useful. And then anyone who doesn't love them, they want them to be cancelled or shut down. You know, they, um, they got Piers Morgan fired, didn't they? Even if you don't really like Piers Morgan, Um, you know, I don't think he should have been, um, canceled for his opinion on them. So they need a bit of PR. I'll do their PR. They need to gain a bit of likability. They need to manage their own brand. And then number 3 is you need to try and keep people on side. You know, Harry should have kept his, his family on side. He should have kept the UK on side. He should have kept the royal family on side. Um, who knows what's going on behind the scenes? I'm not going to comment about Harry and Meghan and how Meghan might be influencing Harry. That's not what I'm doing for. I'm looking at this more of the entrepreneurial side. Provide value, you know, do more than you're asked to do. So if you've got a $50 million contract for 100 episodes, don't do 7, do 150, and then you'll get a renewal of your contract. Manage your brand well. How you do anything is how you do everything. Think of the long term. So I think there's some good lessons in here. Anyway, look, if you would like to build your own brand, make, manage, and multiply money, learn how to not be like Harry and Meghan and actually provide value, provide a great service, start and scale your own business, not be a sponge on society, I recommend you join Rob.team. Number 1 is, um, if you have children under, under the age of 18, you can share your login with them and you don't have to sign them up, so they can go free. I'm also doing a 12-module, 18-hour homeschooling financial education series for kids, and that starts sometime later this year. So I think that, you know, giving back to our children and teaching them how to make, manage, and multiply money is really important. Also, I've done one for adults, a 12-module, 18-hour Money Mastermind University. So basically, if I was doing a degree on finance and money and how to actually make it, not theory but reality, This is my college degree inside Rob.team. I actually made it to be a £700 course on my website, robmoore.com, and once I've done the thumbnails, I'll be publishing it. It'll cost £700. Not bad for 18 hours of content, and certainly compared to £25,000 a year for your degree to learn how to be broke. But if you join Rob.team right now, you can actually get that as part of your Rob.team membership until I publish it live. All you have to do to join is type rob.team, rob.team, into any web page. Um, look, personally, I don't have too much against Harry and Meghan. You know, there's some things that they've said and done I don't agree with, but you know, no one's perfect. But the way they've managed their deals, their sponsorships, their commercial arrangements, I think is a disgrace and a disaster. And I think they need better PR and management. I think they need to think about providing value, managing their brand, keeping people on side, and not taking $100 million off Netflix for no value, and not taking $40-odd million off Spotify for no value. And it looks like the house of cars has come crashing down. And who's going to end up bailing them out? Their dad, the king, who Harry threw under the bus on Oprah. And by the way, who funds and finances their dad, the king? You and I, the taxpayer. So in the end, you and I will will end up footing Harry and Meghan's bills for their global tours and security details, etc. And to me, that's a fucking disgrace. Thanks for tuning in, and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything. I'll see you in Rob.team. Um, another thing I'm doing soon is I've done some content on saving tax, but I'm doing a tax-saving masterclass series with a great accountant. Um, because do you know that you pay about 50% tax on what you earn and and then about 20% again on what you spend, and then about 20% again on what you own, and then 40% when you die. And there's one way around this, there's only one way to get all these taxes down, and that is by starting your own business and being an entrepreneur and learning how to do it. And this is all in Rob.team. Sean has said he learned more about business and finance in 2 months from Rob.team than 40 years of trading. Wow, I really appreciate that, Sean. Thank you very much. I hope to see you all in Rob.team to help you start and scale your business, make, manage, and multiply more money, and build multiple streams of recurring income and do it the right way, not like Harry and Meghan. Thanks for tuning in, and I'll see you on the other side. If you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
