How High Inflation REALLY is 😳

Rob Moore argues official inflation figures understate real costs by 20-30 percent when you count food, fuel, energy, and assets. Wages aren't keeping up, so he says you need to move money into property, gold, and stocks, and build side income to survive the gap.

How high inflation really is. I believe you're being lied to about how high inflation is, or at least it's not fully transparent how high your cost of living have become. So when inflation is tracked, it's RPI, CPI, um, And there's many things that you buy that aren't included in the inflation indexes. So food is not in, um, some inflation measures, yet the cost of food has gone significantly up since, um, probably pre-COVID, since the lockdown. Um, wherever you look at the moment, it's between 9% and 11% actual inflation. That's what you're being told. And it would take a lot for the governments to actually, um, fully be honest with double-digit inflation, because that's really high, really, really high. Um, do you know that your pound for pound Your spending power is the lowest it's been since the end of the Second World War. So I think if you factor in what they say inflation is, bearing in mind a lot of the things that you buy don't— aren't included in, in the inflation metrics— if you add in fuel, energy, heating and electric, raw materials, asset prices, etc. I believe— well, I'll tell you how much I think it's going to be in a minute, but there's two types of inflation really that should interest you, and it's not just about RPI, Retail Price Index, and CPI, Consumer Price Index. It's really about cost inflation to you and price inflation to you. So cost inflation to you is the increase in your costs, and price inflation to you is the increase in your prices or wages. So if you're a business owner or an entrepreneur, you need your cost inflation to be less than your price inflation. You need to put up your price inflation, put up your prices before the costs go up over and above so that you're making less. If you work for a living, you need your wages to go up over your cost inflation. But wages are not going up anywhere near in line with inflation. So the big thing that's an issue for you and most people at the moment is your cost inflation. So I'm going to come back to what you can do about it in a moment because I'm going to give you some solutions. I can see Natalie has said here, I think we're more at 15 to 20%. I'm gonna go all out here, and some people are going to disagree with this and they're not going to like me for saying it, but I think it's important to express reality. I believe your actual cost of living is more than 20% more than it was pre-COVID and lockdown. I really do believe that. Food, fuel, gas, electric, energy, travel, taxation, supply chain restricted, asset prices up. There's nothing that you can buy, it seems, that's cheaper. So if you think about that, the real cost inflation to you, everything factored in, not just the government statistics, but real cost inflation of everything, work it all out. I'm convinced it's more than 20%. Now, are interest rates in any way in line with a near 20% increase in your costs since COVID No. No. Are your wages going up anywhere near that 20% increase in costs? No. Are you putting your prices up if you sell stuff as an entrepreneur anywhere near 20%? No. So this is why I've been banging on saying you cannot save your way to wealth and you cannot save your way out of this cost of living crisis. So Paul thinks it's despicable, Avinash believes it's over 30%. I can't argue, it could definitely be even more than 30%. So VAT is still 20%, National Insurance went up, um, you've got, uh, corporation tax is going from 19% to 25%, you've got all these additional stealth taxes, uh, you've got the massive quantitative easing and printing of money and all the billions that the government have had to write off. You know, when you add all that in, it's definitely more than 20%. It could even be 30%. So first thing is you've got to get real about that, and inflation is not just 9% or 10%. It's absolutely not. So I wanted to say that. Hit the share button right now. It's really important we get this message out to as many people as possible. So many people do not know what's going on. Now thankfully, I see in the media now the government are not really trying to hide it, and they're sort of saying they can't really do anything about it, and they can't make any cuts to get through this and get yourself ready for a difficult few months of the cost of living. They're actually finally kind of forced to be truthful about it. Tony Fisher, he says he thinks it's about 25%. I couldn't argue with that, Tony. It could— you could be right. And it's scary. Now, by the way, it's not going to be this for the next 5 years, but it could be this for the next year, and it could go up before it goes down. And you need to know this, and you need to be warned about this.
Some people are like, oh, Rob, you know, used to just talk about entrepreneurship and business, and now he's being all doom-mongering, talking about all this cost of living crisis and all this shit that's going on in the world.
But it's really important, so I'm not going to stop talking about it. And Natalie, yeah, I do think that we've got a correction, recession, or depression coming for sure, and I do think it could be quite a few years, yes. But I don't think your cost of living will go up 20% every year. No, I think things will have to slow down. When the supply chains open up again, when production, you know, is back up to normal levels. I think some asset prices are going to come down, so you won't have asset price inflation. Um, you'll get competition again for some of the services and businesses that weren't provided, so prices will settle. But I think it will get worse before it gets better because I think there's still a lot of constriction, there's constipation in the system, if you like. Okay, so please do hit the share button now. If you'd like help from me, if you'd like help to combat this cost of living crisis, I've created some resources for you which anyone can gain benefit from, and I'm going to give you them for free if you just write the word 'toolkit' in the comments. So if you just write in the comments right now the word 'toolkit,' then I'm going to give you a document I wrote, a detailed document. I actually wrote it for a mainstream media article, and I've listed out 35 ways you can save up to half your salary a year in expenses. So if you write toolkit, I'm gonna give you complete digital, immediate, and free access to that right now if you write the word toolkit. Now there's more things in my toolkit, and I'm gonna tell you what they are in a minute, but I just need to stress this because no one's really saying this except me. You know, you've got Dave Ramsey and Martin Lewis, the big commentators on money, and they're all talking about cost saving. You cannot cost save your way out of this. You cannot save your way out of this. This is why I've said in this video, um, what inflation really is. There aren't many people alive who aren't millionaires or billionaires that can reduce their cost by 20 or 25% in a year. They aren't making enough money. Most people are saving 1 or 5% of what they earn a month, or this— they're spending more than they're earning. So how can anyone save their way out of this? They can't. So this is bad information. Now you can save some expenses, you can certainly get more lean, and if you write toolkit in the comments, I'm going to give you access to the 35 areas I think that you spend in. They won't all be relevant for you, but many of them will, where you can save up to half your salary a year in costs. But importantly, in this toolkit is also how to start a business, to scale a business, how to create recurring income streams, multiple income streams, and digital income streams. And I'm going to give you 2 keynote talks and 3 or 4 PDF, um, access, access to about 3 or 4 PDFs, and also access to lots of money content on my podcast, um, if you write the word toolkit in the comments. It's completely for free. I'm doing this because I want to help as many people in this cost of living crisis as possible, and you'll get a weekly resources email from me. It'll always be free, no selling. It's a way that I can give back. And 30,000 people have taken me up on this since— well, in fact, not since this cost of living crisis started, but actually in the, in the recent months. So it's growing big time, and I'd like you to gain access to it. So just write the word toolkit in. Okay, cool. So Natalie's absolutely right. The only way you can get out of this cost of living crisis alive is to make more money, increase your income add another income stream, get commissions, big pay rises, or start a new business or have a side hustle. That's the reality. Unless, of course, you're only spending 30% of what you earn, in which case you can tighten your belt by 20% and you're still fine. But most people are not there. So, a few tips. Number 1 is you need to get your savings out of the bank and into assets. Your interest rates are virtually nothing. The banks don't guarantee the money. If you have an issue with your security or you get scammed, that money's gone. You might not get it back. It might not be insured. And inflation is so high and cost of living is so high. So if you save any money, the only reason you should save is to build an investment pot to immediately invest. You need to get your money out of savings, put it into asset classes, make sure you do your own research, don't just waste it. Hard assets and physical assets like gold, or investing in the stock market, or starting a business, or real estate, so then that you can protect your savings from inflation, and then you can hopefully have equity, capital growth, and income. So for example, if you had a deposit for a property, You might only need to put 25% down. You might get a 15% discount, so you've got 25% down, 15% equity, the rest as a loan. So, you know, 65, 60% loan, something like that on the value, um, not on the purchase price. 75% on the purchase price, maybe 60, 65 on the value of the asset. And then you'll get income from the asset, and then your capital is protected from inflation. And you'll get capital growth over time. I was buying properties in 2009 for 50, 60, and 70 grand. In fact, there's a picture of a few of them right there. Can you see? So I own all of those, or shares in all of those, and a few more, by the way, a few hundred more. Um, and these were all 50, 60, 70 grand in 2009. These are all $160,000, $200,000, even $220,000 today. Now there's lots of different asset classes. Now by the way, I'm just going to launch on my Rob.team platform a how-to-invest series. So write yes in the comments if you want to learn what to invest in and how to invest, because I've been doing these videos and people have been saying to me, but what do I invest in? You know, how do I invest into gold? Should I invest in property or digital assets? Should I start a business, etc.? So, um, I'm going to do a new series on rob.team, my members area, and I'm going to do how to invest $100, $500, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000, $20,000, $50,000, $100,000, $500,000, and So, um, if you go right now to rob.team, open a browser now and just type in R-O-B teamm. In the coming week, I will add all those different, um, how-to training videos from myself and my business partner on how to invest. Whether you've got $100 to invest, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000, $50,000, $100,000, or more, there will be a deep dive module on each amount on the best things we believe to invest in. So, um, just literally right now, go to— open a new browser Do it now and just type in rob, as in Rob, rob.team. This is brand new content in the rob.team platform. I only decided to do it today, and the reason I decided to add this, what, 7 or 8 part series— it's basically a course on how to invest— into the rob.team platform is so many of you have been asking, well, how do you invest? Where do you invest? How do you invest in gold? Should I invest in watches, classic cars, art, property, real estate? Starting a business, um, generating the leads, social media, personal brand, Bitcoin, NFTs. You know, it is quite overwhelming. I get that. It's all very well me saying, hey, don't save because that money's going down in value, invest. But if you don't know where and how to invest, well, you know, you've still got more information that you need to gain. So go right now to rob.team. R-O-B dot T-E-A-M. Do it now, and you will see in the next few days I'm going to add them all in. So I won't drip feed them over a week. You'll see 7 or 8 deep dive live module videos being added to rob.team on how to invest. I call it my How to Invest series. Um, I haven't given this to anyone in many months, so it's a unique opportunity to grab it. But you need to be a member of rob.team. Now the good news is rob.team only costs you a fiver. It's the cost of a large cup of coffee. You can cancel any time. Now, if you would like to know how to start a business, scale a business, you'd like to get better financial education and knowledge, you'd like to create multiple streams of recurring income, you would like to build digital income, social media income, personal brand income, you'd like to be a creator, you'd like to have a side hustle, and you'd like to make more than the 20% inflation that in reality is what is costing you right now, then just go to rob.team. Just open a browser, type in rob.team. Now I will put a link in the comments, but it'll be after this video has finished. So that's why I keep repeating it, because people always say to me, what's the link again? How'd you get there? You need to open a new browser and type in Rob team. I've also got, um, a new course coming up in about 9 days and a 2-day masterclass coming up in about 2 weeks, only for Rob.team members. I'll tell you about those in a minute. But for now, um, quick summary: the actual cost of inflation right now, the cost of the things that you buy, your cost inflation, I believe to be 20% or more. They say inflation is 9, between 9 and 11, but it doesn't include everything that you buy. It doesn't include necessarily asset inflation, it often doesn't include food inflation, but when you have food, fuel, energy, material, asset, actual inflation, quantitative easing, and taxation, you add all of that in, I reckon you're more than 20%, pound for pound, less affordable than you were pre-lockdown. I really believe that's the case. Don't just believe these headline 9%, 10% that you're told. It doesn't include everything. Now, the two types of inflation that should concern you— it's not just retail price and consumer price indexes, it's actually price inflation to you and cost inflation to you. Cost inflation to you is everything you buy. That's where I'm saying it's 20% or more increase since pre-COVID. But price inflation is what you earn and what you sell. So right now in the world you're in, you need your wages or your sales or your income streams to be more than 20% what they were this time last year in order for you to earn the same amount of money net-net inflation adjusted. How crazy is that? Pound for pound, your spending power is the lowest it's been since the Second World War, so you need to do something about it. So you cannot save your way out of this. You have to invest or earn your way out of this. You have to create income streams through assets or start a side hustle or increase your revenue dramatically. Commissions dramatically increase your wages or ideally extra income streams. And I can help you do that by joining Rob.team. It's only the cost of a large cup of coffee a month. You can cancel at any time. It's all delivered online, instantly consumable. So if you open a URL, open a browser now, where you go onto the internet and just type in rob.team, and you can join immediately. Do it now because I've got to go. I'll put a link in the comments once I've finished. And by the way, if you do that now, you're going to gain access to a 1-day social media masterclass. So I'm going to teach you the 21 ways I know to monetize social media. Now, 4 of them generate me in total 6 figures a month in income. No ads, no spend, just on content I do on social media. And I'm going to reveal the 4 main ones to you, and then the other 17. And I'm going to give you my roadmap of how you link it all together, because I actually, I actually do about 30 minutes of social media content a day for that income. So I'm going to teach you that on a 1-day social media masterclass So go and join rob.team, R-O-B dot T-E-A-M, and you can gain that masterclass completely for free. I will be selling that for a few hundred dollars after it's gone live for Rob.team members, by the way. Yes, Natalie, if you're a supporter, you get exactly the same stuff, just through Facebook. Now, if you'd like tickets to the 2-day Recurring Income Summit to learn how to create recurring income and digital income, for example, I've got the founder of Netflix The founder of Netflix is speaking at the Recurring Income Summit. I also have someone who sold half a billion, b-b-b-billion books keynote speaking at the Recurring Income Summit. It's a 2-day event. Now this is a $1,000 event. If you would like to gain the VIP access to that on me completely for free, join rob.team. Now I'm celebrating the 3rd year anniversary of rob.team, and I'm on a massive mission to help people through this cost of living crisis, which is why I'm doing daily videos. And why I'm opening Rob.team for you for just a fiver a month. Now, people have said to me that they've spent tens of thousands on courses and got less value than in Rob.team. So I'll see you in Rob.team. Open a browser, type in right now Rob.team, because inflation really is probably at 20% in terms of cost-to-you inflation, and you've got to beat that just to stay afloat. Thanks for tuning in. Hit the share button, do it now. Go to rob.team, open a browser, r-o-b dot t-e-a-m. And remember this: if you don't risk anything, you risk everything. See you in the next video.
