How the Government MUST Save our Nation

Rob Moore argues the UK faces a ten-year depression from cost-of-living and energy crises. He calls for windfall taxes on Shell and BP, energy price caps, tax cuts for workers and small businesses, and an end to political dishonesty. Moore says collective action can prevent economic collapse.

How the government must save our nation. I'm going to share 5 areas I believe the government must stand up, step in, and act now to save our nation from a 10-year depression. We are not just moving into a recession, this could be a decade or more depression. Cost of living soaring, fuel, energy, gas and oil soaring, taxes soaring, inflation soaring. Do you know, pound for pound, your spending power is lowest since the Second World War? We've had Brexit, then we've had viruses, pandemics and lockdowns, and now we've got wars. I'm not saying the government have got an easy job, but I believe they are intervening where they shouldn't be and they're not stepping in where they should be. I'm going to share with you now 5 fairly quick and simple things I think the government can do now to save us from not just a recession but a depression and right some of their wrongs and undo some of the difficulties we've experienced. Brexit, pandemics, wars. Let me know your thoughts in the comments and please share this far and wide. It's a very important video. If our governments do not act now, we could be moving into a 10-year depression. Our spending power is the lowest since the Second World War. That is madness. Okay, so I'm going to talk about Shell and BP. I'm going to talk about energy prices. I'm going to talk about taxes. I'm going to talk about support and incentives, and I'm going to talk about lying governments. Here we go. Number 1: Shell have tripled their profits this quarter since last quarter. We are in possibly the biggest fuel and energy crisis. We are moving into mass fuel poverty. People are having to choose between eating and heating. Yet Shell are tripling their profits from $3 billion to $9 billion a quarter. Now, that in and of itself, you can't blame Shell. You can blame the government for not putting in a windfall tax and not regulating and imposing that Shell and BP pass those profits on to their consumers. It is disgusting and outrageous That an oil company can triple their profits when we are in a fuel crisis and people are choosing between heating and eating, that is disgraceful, that is disgusting. And at first I was pissed off with Shell and BP, and then I thought, you can't blame a firm for increasing their profits. A company's job, one of their jobs, is to make a profit. The government are robbing you blind of tax, yet they're not taxing Shell and BP who've tripled their profits in an energy crisis. So government, listen up right now if you're watching. Stop nicking all the tax off the working class and the middle class and the small business owners and start imposing taxes and price caps on these oil and gas companies that are making billions of profit. Profits tripled in an energy crisis. That's the first thing I think you should do. The second thing is you've got to cap energy prices. You've got to cut energy bills. We are moving into fuel poverty. And if you don't cap energy, fuel, gas, heating, electric, then you're going to have masses of the working and middle class in poverty. How have you not figured this out? How have you not figured out that Shell and BP and all these other big energy companies are making billions more profit. Come on, stop, stop stealing the tax off the working class, the small person, the small business, and take it off the massive energy corporations. Now, as you know, I'm a pretty big supporter and fan of enterprise and entrepreneurs and billionaires, as long as they add value. Now, if tax— if Shell and BP had offered triple the value for triple the profits, fair deal, I support them. But they haven't. There's a freaking crisis. And you know what? The head of Shell puts so much spin and PR and waffle around these tripling of profits like they're doing everything to help the consumer. No, you're not. Pass on those billions to the consumer, at least in the short term until we're out of this energy crisis. So one, windfall tax on energy companies making billions when there's an energy crisis. 2, cut energy bills and cut them now and cap them now. By the way, if you agree and you want to support, um, holding the government to account to save us from a depression, then hit the share button right now. Now, Sue, you're right, the government won't save you. Only you can save you. That's why I am an entrepreneur. That's why I help people start and scale their business and get better financial education and knowledge. I absolutely agree. In fact, if you would like some resources from me, a financial toolkit, 35 ways to save half your salary in costs a year, multiple ways to create digital assets and recurring and residual income, monetizing information, your personal brand, social media, etc., just write toolkit in the comments. If you write right now toolkit in the comments. I will give you all of those resources completely for free as a way to help support as many people as I can in this cost of living crisis. Now, um, Paul has just said your naivety is laughable. Um, naivety changes the world, and I'm not just going to sit here and go, oh, New World Order, Great Reset, own nothing and be happy, you know, global totalitarian dictatorial control. Oh, we can't do anything about it, we're all fucked. That's naive. I would say that is naive. I would say stay naive, believe you can make a difference, push back on governments, support your community, speak up for what you believe in. Because if all of us just accept the Great Reset, the removal of the middle and working with the middle class for sure, you know, you'll have no small business, you'll own nothing. If we just all resign to that, then that manifests itself and we're all fucked. So I throw it back on you. I'm not the naive one. I'm here campaigning every day so we can make a difference. Okay, I can see loads of you writing toolkit in there. If you want some financial bonuses and resources, um, how to save in this, um, cost of living crisis, how to make more money, start your second business, get better financial education and knowledge, just write toolkit in the chat. Okay, so the third of five things I believe the government must do right now: stop taxing the hell out of the working class, the middle class, and the small business owner. Look, I actually don't want to go here and say, oh, go tax the billionaires, tax the big corporations. I'm not an anti-billionaire, but the government know it's much easier to tax the working, the middle class, and the small business owner. So they absolutely thieve and rob you blind. Did you see my tax rant? More than 70% of your income and your expenses is in taxes, and I proved it. How is that fair? How is that right? So government, reduce corporation tax, reduce VAT, reduce income tax, at least temporarily, so we can afford to friggin' live. Now I'm in a fortunate position. I am financially free. I became a millionaire age 30, a deca-millionaire age 35. I'm 43 now, and that's why I campaign and talk about these things so much, because I'm in a position where I can help, and I'm going to do everything I can to help. And you should speak out, and you should share this button, because I used to think no point talking about wars and corruption and you know, government under or over-intervention, taxation. What's the point? I can't do anything. How am I going to be able to change? But if we all had that attitude, nothing would change. A bit like if none of us voted, nothing would change. So you can make a difference, I believe. And sharing this button, this video, to as many people as you can, to get them to stand up and speak out, will make a difference. It will make a difference. You can go viral on social media. Some of my videos get millions of views. Okay, so reduce corporation tax, reduce VAT. In the last recession, which the banks caused— here's the irony, right? In the last recession, the banks caused the recession, and the government's bailed out the fucking banks. And now we're in this, probably a depression coming, And they're nicking the money off the working class, the middle class, and the small business owner. Why aren't they bailing the working class and the middle class out, those people on the breadline, of which there are millions? They reduced VAT in the last recession, why haven't they reduced it in this one? Reduce corp tax, reduce VAT, reduce income tax. That leads me on to number 4 thing I believe that the government should do right now. You've got to incentivise employment. You've got to support the starting and scaling of small businesses, of productivity and of growth. There's more than one way to generate revenue from the government. The government seems to think the only way to generate revenue is tax on tax on tax on tax. But actually, if they incentivised economic growth, if they incentivised employment, incentivised production, if they gave subsidies and support to start and scale a business, to employ, to produce, to grow, to serve, to solve, then the economy is going to fire back up again, it's going to grow, and they can have their share of that. Surely that's the best way. Why are they not doing anything to support the economy and fuel growth, to support the small businesses that pay for the public sector? Here's the irony: the small business owners, the private sector, pays for the entire public sector, i.e., all the politicians' wages. Yet they're doing nothing to support the private sector, so in the end they're going to end up biting the hand that feeds them. And they don't get it. They have no frickin' idea. And then the fifth thing I believe that the government should do— Shirley says, "What's wrong?" I'm pissed off. I'm pissed off with our government. I am pissed off with them lying, breaking their own rules, taxing the hell out of us, locking us down, intervening everywhere they shouldn't. And not intervening where they should. That's what's wrong with me. So, government, stop frickin' lying. Stop setting lockdown rules and then breaking them yourself. And then shadow government, stop accusing the government of lying and then lie yourself. If politicians stopped lying, if politicians removed hidden agendas, if politicians had a long-term view, didn't just do what was popular to stay in power but did what was right for the long term, our country would be in a much better position. So stop imposing lockdowns and breaking the rules. Stop lying yourself and buying your way out of it. 50 quid fines for having lockdown parties? What a joke. Okay, Roya said, name the wars that I said have been going on. Pretty obvious, isn't it? Okay, 5 things the government must do right now to save our country. Number 1, they should have windfall taxes on energy companies making billions out of an energy crisis. Number 2, they should cut energy bills for you and the working class and the middle class because we're moving into fuel poverty. Number 3, they need to reduce corp tax, reduce VAT, and reduce income tax at least temporarily. Number 4, they need to incentivize employment, support small businesses, and support production and growth to fire up the economy. And number 5, they need to stop lying and breaking their own rules. They're my thoughts. Thanks for tuning in. Let me know your thoughts. Let me know if there's anything we can do. Do you think if we all spoke up, if we all shared this video, we can make a difference? Because if we don't try, we definitely won't. Thanks for tuning in, and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
