How to 200x Your Hourly Rate

Rob Moore went from £8-per-hour work to charging £3,000 to £32,000 per speaking gig. He breaks down a system to turn one hour of speaking into twelve different products: videos, podcasts, masterclasses. One talk can multiply your hourly rate by 100 to 200 times.

100x your hourly rate. You're never gonna even 2x your hourly rate in a job. You're probably not gonna 2 or 5x your income or your capital on an asset for probably 15 to 20 years. And I've been an entrepreneur Nearly 20 years. And there's only really one way I've discovered— it was by accident in 2006— how to 10x, 100x, 200x your hourly rate. And I'm going to share it with you now. I guess most people— Paul's hourly rate is, I don't know, £12 an hour. It's probably less than the minimum wage for some entrepreneurs who are You know, stuck in the startup phase or the one-man-band phase. Now, look, maybe you've got to £20 an hour or maybe even £50 an hour, but imagine if you could get to £500 or £5,000 an hour. And actually, the best way to do this is to turn what you already know into cash flow, is to turn your ideas into income, because if you work harder, You're not actually increasing your hourly rate. You're decreasing your hourly rate. And that's important. You know, when you're doing overtime, all right, you do overtime and you get time and a half. So you go from 15 an hour to 22 an hour, but you're giving away even more hours. And when you divide that by your total hours, you're still kind of at minimum wage. So you have to think different to get different. If you do what you've always done, you'll get what you've always got. So the best way I've ever seen to 200x your hourly rate, and I'm talking legitimate here because I thought about not doing this content because it feels like, well, um, it could be deemed to be a bit schemey or like get-rich-quickie, but it's actually not get-rich-quick, it's get rich for real. So the best way is to create content. Now you get paid an hourly rate for content as a public speaker. So the first speech I ever did was £3,000 paid. A friend of mine knew I'd gone on a public speaking course and he's like, Rob, um, I've got this gig, it's 3 grand. Do you think you can speak on personal development? I said, I'll speak on whatever you want. I'd done one public speaking course, and my first paid speaking gig was £3,000. Now, back then, I was probably earning— what I remember, I was earning £8 an hour. So I went from £8 an hour working, all right, I've got commissions on top, and then I got £3,000 as my first ever speaking fee. And now, um, the most recent talk was £32,000 for my speaking fee. At one event on a 2-day weekend that I, um, ran— I ran an event called the Property Super Conference— I actually didn't do a lot of the speaking, but I did some, and we did £1 million on that weekend. Now, this is not get rich quick, this is get rich for real. But what are you passionate about? What do you love to talk about? And when you start as a paid speaker, really, £3,000 should be your minimum starting point. Now look, if you've got a chance to get customers from the audience and get their contact details, you might discount it to £500. At £500, you'll open a load of doors. Like so many promoters, they struggle to get good speakers. Speakers let them down last minute, so it's very difficult for them. So actually, there's an open door opportunity here. So here's a great thing about being a speaker as well. You speak on the stage, but then you record it and it becomes a Facebook video. You speak on YouTube, you speak on a Facebook Live, you speak on a podcast. You can turn it into masterclass courses, into masterminds, into mentoring. I mean, let's be honest, the ability to speak is the most important skill in your whole life. Like, imagine if you were a mute. But then so many people can speak, but they can't properly speak. You know, they can't properly communicate, inspire, lead, motivate. And whether you're an entrepreneur or you want to get a pay rise, your ability to speak is possibly the most important skill of all. But it's also where you can go from £15 an hour to £150, £1,500, £5,000. And by the way, these are the starter fees. You could be a shit politician, get fired, and earn six figures. These are just for starters. So look, we've decided to do something new on money.school, and my top public speaking coach, who doesn't just teach public speaking but all forms of content on all media— even if you want to be faceless, by the way, you can do this on podcasts and some channels. So even if you're an introvert, it works. She's one of the top public speaking coaches probably in the country, and we're going to do a Zoom class for you. I was thinking about only having it for money.school members, but I'll open it up here for you where we'll teach you our 5-step Pentagon system to create a compelling, inspiring message which you can share on 12 different media. So you can turn 1 hour of content into 12 assets. You can earn ongoing recurring income and you can 100x or 2x, 200x your hourly rate realistically. So here's the link for the Zoom, just going to share it with you now. Oh blimey, that's a long link. Let me just, um, by the way, this will be a one-off Zoom, no recordings, no replays. There we go, I've just shared it with you in the comments. So if you just click it, register Look, because I've already paid for the Zoom account, I'll cover your— there'll be no fees. I'll cover the fees. And I'm going to do about the first 25 minutes, tell you my journey of becoming a 9-figure generating entrepreneur, much of which through content and speaking, and take you on that journey from going from zero to first paid speaking gig to highest paid speaking gig, to then turning it into an asset. You know, for example, I'm talking to you here on this video, and then once it's finished, it's there as a recorded video, and then I can take it and put it on X, and then I can boost it and get more people to see it. So this has already become an asset, and I'm just here talking to you walking down the river. So it's actually a really good way. Now, a lot of people are really scared of public speaking, or they don't feel that they have a message, or they don't feel that they're interesting enough, or they don't feel that they've got enough experience. And all of this isn't actually true, it's just in your own head. But you know, we've got our formulae for that, the EPH formula, the Pentagon formula to create a talk without needing notes, what, why, how, what if, when. So it's actually a learned system. And any of these great speakers you see, they've actually learned a system. You know, like when you watch a movie and it's a system, you know, the hero's journey. So you can actually create a system from what you already know. Turn it into cash flow, create ultimate leverage, and one talk like this into 12, and then passive ongoing recurring income as well as 100 or 200x-ing your hourly rate. So if you want to jump on this Zoom, I'll cover the costs. I'm opening it up to you, not just Money School members. The link is in the comments and We need more people like you to stand up and speak out. And you know, you've already worked a lot in your life and you've already earned a bit, maybe quite a lot, or maybe you're stuck. But the best way to create leverage, because you know, rich people don't work harder than you. Yeah, public speaking is one of the laziest professions out there. You get driven here or flown there, it gets expensed to someone else. You do a 60-minute talk and Q&A, you get paid a big lump of money. So it's great leverage. You know, J. Paul Getty, one of the richest men ever lived, he said, never work too hard to be rich. So you're probably thinking about working harder. You need to think about working smarter, creating content, creating leverage, creating your own IP, your own signature talk. But I guess you've just got some doubts, fears, concerns, and we can help you with those because I was so nervous when I did my first speech, especially as I got paid for it. And it was an audience of like 500 people, my first ever speaking gig. But that could be the same for you because you can learn our systems and processes. I kind of reverse engineered it all. Anyway, the link is in the comments. It's a Zoom, so it should— let's have a look for the link. It should be like a Zoom. Link. Yeah, look, you've got the Zoom link there. I'll see you on the Zoom. No recordings, no replays. But look, if you want a 100x or 200x your hourly rate and you don't want to work too hard to be rich, because rich people aren't working harder than you, jump on the Zoom. Thanks for tuning in, and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
