How To LEGALLY Beat the TAX System

Rob Moore explains why tax-avoidance schemes like non-dom relocation and offshore companies backfire, then shows the legal way: run a limited company and claim business expenses like home office, equipment, and vehicle depreciation to cut corporation tax by up to two-thirds. Use an accountant and tax-investigation insurance to stay compliant.

How to beat the tax system. It's actually quite easy to beat the tax system and for you to pay way less tax. In fact, there are books that are hundreds of years old that teach you the fundamentals of beating the tax system. Now I'm going to share with you how to not beat the tax system first, and because there are lots of people trying dodgy, potentially illegal things, or things that cost you more to set up than you save in tax, and it's a waste of time. In reality, the system wants you, or some of you, to beat you at its own game. So I've been quite critical of the, the UK tax system and the economy, how it's run, as you know. But in its defence, it does give you some good breaks if you know how to find the tax breaks. And it does want some of you to beat the tax system. After all, look at the billionaires. It clearly wants the billionaires to beat the tax system, otherwise the billionaires would be paying 20% corporation tax instead of 4%, and they'd be paying 45% income tax instead of virtually nothing. So how to not beat the tax system? First, go non-dom and set up some overseas company, or leave the country and think that it's going to be better somewhere else. Loads of people leaving to Dubai. It's wildly hot, this ginger beard would melt in the heat, and even though you pay less tax, everything's twice as expensive. Therefore, what you save in tax you're probably going to end up spending in living. And then what a lot of the countries do, and the UK have done this to abroad, by the way, they lure you in, zero tax, and then like boiling the frog, it goes up a bit and up a bit and up a bit and up a bit, and then you're stuck there. So actually, you should think very carefully about where you go, and you should want to live there anyway before you run away. Okay, the next thing you definitely don't want to do is some kind of tax scheme. There's been loads of them over the years and decades, and what the government can do— HMRC can change the law or make the law that they want to make and go back 7 years and take all the money you think you saved back off you retrospectively. So we've seen loads of schemes which end up being scams, or they might be legitimate in the moment and then afterwards they're not, and you've got to avoid all of those. So be careful of leaving the country, the schemes and the scams. Some people say, "Oh, taxes are illegal. It's illegal. They can't make me pay tax. I'm just not going to pay tax." I think you've got to be very fucking careful because, you know, the government and HMRC have strong powers, and if they want money off you, they're going to get it. So I think legally you have to pay tax. Okay, so what can you do then? It's actually quite simple. You simply set up a company. This could be a side hustle company. You get a domain name and a company number for what, less than 50 quid, and you become self-employed or an entrepreneur. Because these books are hundreds of years old, they teach you to pay yourself first. Now, if you're employed You pay the government and HMRC first, then you get what's left. So I don't know if you've ever seen your payslip and it's got, for example, your gross pay, your tax, your National Insurance, your student loan repayments, and you're left with less than half. Do you remember those old game shows when you lost? Here's what you could have won, and there's the yacht. You could have won that and instead you got an apple. An eaten one. So this is what your payslip looks like because you're paying yourself last and you're paying tax first. Now when you're an employer or an entrepreneur, you pay yourself first. You even take in the VAT, which is a tax, first and you get to hold it for 3 months. You can earn interest on it therefore, and then you pay the VAT. And then when you take in all of your income, you can work your expenses down, reduce your corporation tax. You can choose how you draw money, not necessarily salary. You can take certain reliefs. You can run certain things through your business as an expense legitimately. You can change your lifestyle. So instead of just, you know, paying yourself and then buying a car, buy a car in an LLP company structure, one car per partner. And essentially half the cost of a car. You can run a home office through your house, and all of the hardware and software required for that can be run through the business. Your laptop, your phone, your headphones that you use for your phone calls in business— all of these things can be run and offset through the company, and you probably end up reducing your tax liability down by 2/3, up to 2/3 with this one simple thing. So even if you don't want to be an entrepreneur and it's not you, you should start a side hustle company and you should go on HMRC website and speak to an accountant and say, look, what business expenses can I offset? Look at how you spend your money personally and think, oh, could that be a business expense instead of personal? Instead of going on all these holidays, could you do work trips? Instead of buying all of these electronic items for yourself, could they be for use in a company? Any travel and subsistence and fuel and mileage and cars can all potentially be paid before tax, not after tax, and therefore you can save half. A car costs me double if I buy it after tax. And half if I buy it in an LLP and can run everything through, including depreciation, maintenance, fuel, and all of that. And I have literally saved millions in tax in that one simple way, which, which the government actually want you to do, because even though they won't admit it, they need entrepreneurs. Small business owners employ 55% of the economy, the money flowing in the economy. 55% of that is from small business owners. So I imagine the rest of it is from big business owners. And then of course that funds the entire public sector. So this is actually not difficult and they make it look really difficult and the tax code is thousands of pages and they employ dozens or even hundreds of staff to manage this really complicated tax code to scare the shit out of you to go, oh, there you go, just have all of my money. But they actually want and need you to, they just hide it. How you can save most of what you're paying in tax is hidden in plain sight. So here's a couple of things you need to do right now. When all is said and done, more is said than done. Number 1, you need to go set up a company. It's really easy. Go on Companies House, find a name, get a company number, and set up a domain name, even if it's just dormant for now. And then you start learning what you can offset. Number 2 is learn from me what you can offset, because for the first time ever, I'm actually going to do 2 tax masterclasses in Rob.team. So we're going to do a beginner's tax masterclass. Now, there will later be a more advanced tax saving masterclass if you want to save the big bucks. I've saved millions of pounds using capital allowance tax savings and other tax saving strategies which are a bit more complicated, and that's coming later inside rob.teamgold. So this is the first time we've ever done this, by the way, and by the way, I'm not going to teach it even though I've done it. I'm going to get my tax specialist to teach it because he's the guy, because I have two rules when it comes to saving tax. Number 1, can I get an accountant I trust to sign it off? And number 2, will it be signed off against my tax investigation insurance? It's really important you get tax investigation insurance because if they won't sign it off and an accountant won't sign it off, you shouldn't be doing it. And I don't do anything that wouldn't be signed off by both of those two parties because then I'm 99% confident I'm going to be fine or I've got people to defend me if I need to defend myself. So this is why I'm getting this specialist accountant to come in, because he's the man and he knows all the tricks because he is one. So if you'd like to get all of this for the first time ever, actually, just join Rob.team right now. Type in Rob.team. This is something we only just really decided recently to do. You might think, well, there's no point going and earning a load of money because I've got to give more than half of it away in tax. And believe you me, with what you earn and then what you spend, you are paying 70% in tax, I reckon. A billionaire reckoned, a billionaire I spoke to this month, I had meetings with 3 billionaires this month, and one of them says he reckons over 80% of what you earn and spend is tax. So yeah, you definitely need this. If you've ever seen any of my lives, you've ever heard of Rob.team, or you're on the fence about Rob.team, you need to join now to get this because most of what you're earning and spending is tax. So they actually do want you to beat it, they just make it really hard for you to beat it. And we're gonna expose that and teach you that in rob.team in the new tax masterclass that's coming soon. So just type R-O-B dot T-E-A-M, now, rob.team into any webpage, I'll see you there. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
