Hey, you, stop! Stop overthinking, stop procrastinating, stop overanalyzing, stop worrying about all the stuff that's never going to happen. Now, that's easier said than done. How many people have said to you, 'Oh, stop worrying, start living, don't worry about it, it'll be all right,' when in reality what goes on in your head is so much noise. So I thought I'd do a short practical and tactical video on how you can stop overthinking, stop overanalyzing, stop worrying about all the things that never actually happen, stop being frozen in fear, and start getting more done, worrying less and living more. Now, have you read my book Start Now, Get Perfect Later? I wrote a book called Start Now, Get Perfect Later for all the over-analyzers, procrastinators, perfectionists. Perfectionism is a curse because no one's perfect. You're never fully ready. Therefore, if you're waiting to be perfect before you start, you'll never start. If you're waiting to have all your ducks in a row before you press go, you will never get anything done. So here are a few tips, and let me know in the comments if you can relate to this. So number 1 is to know that you spend more time worrying in imagination than in reality. I think Mark Twain said something like, I had many worries in my life, most of which never happened. So they say something like 99% of the things that you worry about never actually happen. So many people who, who worry, um, or have anxiety— put your analytical hat on for a minute, because by the way, many people who Procrastinate are over-analyzers. So put your analytical hat on and go, 'Hmm, okay, in my life, how many of the 9,242 things I've overly worried about have actually happened? All 5 of them.' So therefore, statistically, you can trick yourself to know that most of the things that you worry about will never actually happen. Therefore, stop worrying about them. Now, some of you have said you can relate to this. Now look, Everything is easier said than done, by the way. So if you're watching going, well, this is easier said than done, Rob— well, everything is easier said than done, otherwise it'd be done. So number 1, know that most of the things you worry about never actually happen. Number 2, all those things you're worrying about that people will judge you for, that they will criticize and troll and hate you for It's none of their business. What they think is none of your business, and it doesn't fucking matter. So I reckon that most people— and be honest, give me a yes if you can relate to this in the comments— most people aren't doing the thing they know they want to do because they're worried about judgment, they're worried about ridicule, they're worried about what other people will think about them. Well, like I said, what other people think about you is none of your business, and what other people think about you is also none of their business. So if you stop worrying about what they think about what you haven't even done yet, and you just go and do it and don't worry about what they think, you'll do it more. Now, the reason I titled my book Start Now, Get Perfect Later is because You will never be perfect. You will never be ready. So you might as well start. You'll never be perfect. You'll never be ready. Therefore, you might as well start. Because if you're going to make mistakes anyway, why, why not make them early? Why not make them quick? And why not get them over and done with? Oh, by the way, I went live this morning about 16 minutes ago and and something went wrong with the live, and I just stopped it, and I just started again. And are these lives perfect? No. Is there perfect lighting? No. In fact, I put the light in the wrong place, and I just showed you my nostrils. There you go, the lighting's better now. So is the lighting perfect? No. Have I got a professional setup here? No. Have I got a script? No. Is this content perfect? No. Am I doing it anyway? Yes. So 99% of the things you worry about never actually happen. What other people think about you is none of your business and none of their business. You're going to make mistakes, so you might as well make mistakes quickly and start now and get perfect later. And you know, one of the big regrets of the dying is not doing the things that they knew they wanted to do and linked worrying about what other people thought about them. Something to think about there. Now there's also practical and tactical things about getting rid of overthinking. So for example, um, knowing your key result areas and your income-generating tasks, having good admin processes, processes and software and systems, being good at leveraging and outsourcing and delegating. These are all things that can also help with your overthinking, your procrastination, and your overanalyzing. And because of that, I'm actually doing a brand new live training. You're going to love this. So I love a bit of leverage because, you know, sometimes the thing that you don't want to do, you can actually delegate it. And a great hack for overcoming your own overthinking and procrastination is to find someone else better or easier or cheaper cheaper or faster and get them to do it. So I've created a bit of leverage for you and leverage for me, a bit of double leverage. The leverage for me is instead of me just sitting down on my own writing the book for months, I thought, well, why don't I do some— a Zoom or two on it, cover all the content I'm going to update my book in so that I can leverage the time. And then your leverage is you can sit and watch. Sonia said here, I feel it's quite easy to talk the theory. Sonia, I said this before, everything is easier in theory than in practice. Does that mean you shouldn't do it? No. Driving a car is easier in theory than in practice. Flying a helicopter is easier in theory than it is in practice. Everything is easier in theory than in practice. But if people start saying, 'Oh, well, it's easier said than done,' or 'It's easy for you to say,' or 'It's easier in theory,' you're already putting a barrier in the way before you've even started. Because everything is easier in theory, which is why you need to start now and get perfect later. Cool.
