I’m Ashamed to be British 🫣

Rob Moore argues Britain has declined from empire to a struggling nation, blaming Brexit, lockdowns, and incompetent leadership for driving away skilled workers and crippling businesses. He calls for personal financial independence and radical reforms to politics, education, and healthcare as the path to national recovery.

Right now I am ashamed to be British. Do you remember the British Empire? Well, Brexit, to me, that was an absolute mess, and we essentially sent the most hardworking people in our country back to Europe and retained the laziest British people in this country. Um, I know many people who work for me. I have a housekeeper who works for me who's European, and she says that the Brits are lazy, some of the laziest people she's ever met. That's got even worse now because of lockdown 1, 2, and 3. Our football team's absolutely shit, so not even gonna go there. Um, lockdown 1 may be excusable, but lockdown 2 and soft lockdown 3 over that Christmas period, which ruined business for so many people— what an absolute joke this country is to do that. We had a total clown a total clown of a PM, through lockdown. And then the next PM broke the world record for the shortest tenure. And then the next PM is someone who's gonna charge us 120% tax! Our political system is absolutely broken, it's bent, it's not a democracy, we don't have a choice. We don't have a choice of the Prime Minister, we don't have a choice of the next Prime Minister and the next Prime Minister, we didn't have a choice of lockdown. Like, the thing that affected the people the most in the last 3 years, we didn't even have a choice. At least with Brexit we got a vote, sort of. Our royal family's a complete mess. You know, we let people like Meghan in and she's absolutely blown from the inside out the royal family. We are now one of the highest taxed nations in the world. Colin has called it Brexit. How long before we are the highest taxed nation in the world? Yeah, the NHS is completely fucked. The education system is completely fucked. I mean, we pay billions for the NHS and you can't even get in. You can't even get seen. And the people that died in lockdown and post-lockdown because they couldn't get an appointment. And now I understand the data that's come out is suggesting that more people are dying because of lockdown than died because of COVID I mean, that is absolutely outrageous and awful. Yeah, someone has just said Prince Andrew. We had the Prince Andrew stuff going on, didn't we, as well? I mean, that didn't make Britain look very good. We don't manufacture anything anymore. We don't build anything anymore. We don't produce anything anymore. We don't have any energy independence. So as soon as someone says 'Oh, we don't like you, we want to go and invade, we'll just cut your energy supply off.' The pound is fucked! The pound is now worth about 12 pence. I mean, I remember when I was a teenager, it was nearly $2 to the pound, and then it got to nearly $1 to the pound. You know, our Great British Pound, the currency, the reserve currency of the world. Well, now it's just that currency's worth nothing, absolutely nothing. We used to have a British Empire, now we don't even have a village. Our food is completely shit. We're grumpy as fuck, I don't know, I am here at the moment. We need to take our power back. So my question to you is, are you ashamed to be a Brit? Do you think the country is fucked? Do you agree Brexit's a mess? Our football team is shit. We sent the hardest workers back to their countries and basically we've become a lazy, entitled nation. Too many lockdowns, too many clowns running the country, broken, bent political system, no democracy, royal family a mess, NHS broken, highest tax, one of the highest taxed nations in the world. No manufacturing, no production, no energy, no independence, the pound is fucked, it's worth nothing, we're not an empire, we're a village, our food is shit. Let me know what you think. Um, Stephen says thanks for the daily dose of doom and gloom. If you watch all of my videos properly, you know I always end out with a positive outcome and I always end out with suggestions. I'm just being honest though. Am I proud to be British? Do I puff my chest out and feel good about the state of the nation? No, I don't. I do not. Not at all. Um, here's what we need to do. We need to produce more. We need to get a good work ethic again. We need to innovate. We need to become more independent. We need to be more disruptive. We need to bring back our history and our culture of what we used to have and be. So let me know what you think. That's it, that's all I gotta say. I'd love your thoughts. Um, if you're not ashamed to be British, Let me know why. If you are, um, hit this share button and let's get the discussion going. What do you think are the solutions? Um, I personally think many countries put us to shame in terms of our work ethic culturally. So if we, um, have a higher work ethic, if we complain less, and if we're grateful more, and we work more, and we produce more, and we give more, and we serve more, I believe actually this nation can become great again. You know, we don't have a Silicon Valley, we don't have a lot of production, we don't have a lot of innovation and disruption anymore. We don't have really any independence of anything. We don't really produce or make anything valuable and useful to the world anymore like we used to. So let me know what you think. And as I said, I always like to end out with a positive outcome. I know I have a rant every now and again. I know sometimes You think, oh, Rob's a bit doom-mongery, but, um, you know, am I doom-mongering here? Um, so I've just seen here that Natalia said poor work ethic is one of the biggest things I battle against as an HR consultant. So someone who's an HR consultant would agree that there is poor work ethic in this country. People want to work from home, they want to do less, they want to be paid more, they're entitled. I, I really do think that, um Yeah, this is the, um, the state of play right now. Um, so let me know what you think. Have a little watch, um, and make note of the 15 things where I— look, no, I'm not going to be Prime Minister, which some of you keep asking. And, um, what can we do about it? I, I think that if we all become more independently financially independent and wealthy. I think if we decentralise ourselves a bit more from the system, I think if you work your taxes down legally and ethically and you work your income up and you start some kind of business that's useful to people and you have a great work ethic, I think if you do some of these things then we can turn our nation around because, you know, nothing is ever fully doomed. We can always change things. I think we need to be more cognisant, aware and responsible for who we put in power. I think our political system needs a reform. I think our education system needs a reform. I think our banking system needs a reform. I think our health system, our healthcare system needs a reform. I think these all need a complete radical reform and rethink. And if you've got any ideas on those, let me know in the comments. So thanks for tuning in. Go and claim your free gifts from me if you want to increase your income, reduce your costs. Build assets, produce multiple streams of income, become financially secure and independent. The link is bit.ly/robtoolkit. Go and do that now. One more final thing to say is, why is it that the poor, middle, and even lower upper class are brutally taxed, and yet the super rich aren't? Because a lot of people hate on the rich, and they think that the rich need to be taxed more. But there's, I think, kind of two main types of rich. There's the kind of lower-class rich, you know, self-employed or a business owner. They might make a few hundred grand or in the low millions a year. Those people are brutally taxed, just as much taxed as the working and the, um, you know, middle class. Yet the super rich, the billionaires and hundred millionaires, they're not really taxed at all. So why don't we differentiate from working-class rich and super rich? Why don't we support small business owners, startups, and the working-class rich? I would put myself in the working-class rich category. Why don't we support them, give them incentives, bonuses, grants? And why don't we reward and incentivize them to start businesses, to employ people, to disrupt, to innovate, to design, to produce? And the super billionaires, the uber-rich, why don't we just charge them 10% more tax? We don't have to kill them. You don't have to wipe them out. 10% tax more. That's trillions we've just therefore generated for society. I know why the uber-rich and the big corporations and the big tech companies are not taxed more. I know why. Well, I think I know why. And I think you probably know why. And that's part of the system that's fucked. You know, they rely on their donations. They have too much political power and influence. They are almost monopolistic and they can control nations. And that needs to change. Let me know what you think of all of this stuff. Are you ashamed to be a Brit too?
