I’m going bust

Rob Moore blames the 2020 lockdown and government policy for a wave of small-business failures he says will dwarf 2008. He survived on two decades of experience and cash reserves while peers folded, and now runs Rob.team, a low-cost education platform teaching entrepreneurs how to protect their income and reduce tax exposure.

I'm going bust. I am really angry, sick to my stomach angry with the government and the central banks for what they did in lockdown 2020. And I haven't recovered emotionally, and I wouldn't say I've recovered financially. And Every single day, without fail, every day, I am talking to otherwise very successful business owners who are going bust, who have had to shut their businesses down, or who are really struggling to keep their businesses going. And I fucking predicted this. So when they locked us down in March 2020 I said this could kill the economy for 10 years or more. And I said that all these amazing small businesses that fund most of the economy and drive the entire innovation and growth of our nations— oh, and by the way, fund most of the public sector— I said that this could maybe wipe out much of these amazing small businesses that are the engine of our economies. We are 4 years and 2 months after the lockdown, and businesses are falling over like flies. And every— by the way, I am in various masterminds and peer networks of the most successful entrepreneurs, business people, people who run events and coaching and training and education businesses. I am in masterminds of the most successful entrepreneurs of these types in the UK. I'm mentored by people who are worth hundreds of millions and billions, and nearly all of them are struggling or have gone bust or are having to go into some kind of voluntary receivership. There's empty properties everywhere in, um, my local city at least. I don't know about yours. And I'm freaking angry. I'm really angry because I knew this would happen. Now what shocks me is there is now evidence, seems pretty credible, to suggest that there were more deaths because of lockdown not saved by lockdown. But how many businesses, how many entrepreneurs, how many of your local independent businesses that you so rely on have gone bust or will go bust in the next decade? This is going to be way worse than the crash of 2008, way worse. And I predicted this. Now, um, 'I'm going bust' is something that I've heard at least once a week, if not maybe 3 times a week this year in the last 5 months. Friends, business associates, people who survived and thrived in 2008, people who run amazing businesses, people who are smart entrepreneurs. They have been telling me privately, some in tears, some owe me money and begging for extensions, that they're going bust. By the way, I'm not going bust, but do you know what? If I was an ordinary small business owner, I could have done. The reason I'm not going bust, the reason that my business is doing quite well, is because we saved a load of cash. We had nearly 15 years hardcore bare-knuckle experience already. I mean, imagine if I'd gone to university and got a degree and started a business and then lockdown came. I would have had to just fold my business overnight. I've had now 2 decades of blood-on-the-streets, bare-knuckle business experience, and by far lockdown has been the most brutal lesson. The taxes are so high they're almost like theft. Inflation has been so high it's almost like a tax. The amount of government printing and eroding of the value of money and the reduction of your spending power and, um, you know, the VAT and the corp tax and the income tax and the National Insurance and all the freaking regulations you need to go through. It is outrageous. Darren, just to be clear, it's not me that's going bust. The 'I'm going bust' is something that I've heard my friends, associates, peers, and many respectful business owners— respectful, respectable, successful Over 2 decades I've heard this said 3 times a week. Rob Moore said 75% tax. Now, you know, with what you earn and what you spend, I reckon it's 70%, no exaggeration. By the way, let me know in the comments how your business is going. Let me know in the comments how your local independent businesses are going in your city, because I tell you this, there's no independent businesses left in our city. There's just shitty middle-of-the-road chains of everything, massive corporations that just own our streets. It's like fucking apocalypse in my local centre. Tahira said the government has destroyed our economy and small business. Paula said they've killed real estate. I agree with all of this and it's shocking and it's completely wrong. And it's 4 years and 2 months on and I'm still feeling like I have to rant and shout about it because nothing's changed and it's getting worse. And it's not right and it's not fair. And all these businesses should be getting support. Nigel Farage tells me that 60 to 65% of the entire economy is small businesses. I.e., we pay all the public sector, we pay all the politicians, and what do they do with our money? They just waste it. It is outrageous, and I agree with Chris Ryan, it's only going to get worse before it gets better. So just to be really clear, Danny has said it's time for a rethink. I agree. Just to be clear, I'm not going bust, but I have had to wrestle and jiu-jitsu and grapple and armbar and hustle and get bare-knuckle fighting for the last 4 years and 2 months to navigate, survive, and now thankfully thrive in my business. But everything is 5 times harder, no word of a lie. I mean, I've retired 5 times and I'm very not operational in my business, haven't been for years, but since lockdown I have had to put my overalls on. I have had to work harder than I've ever worked before, and I've been doing this nearly 2 decades. And this, I believe, is because of the government, the lockdown, the central banks, you know, the politicians. It's an absolute scam. It's outrageous. And how many more smart, valuable, useful entrepreneurs and small business owners am I going to see go bust, are going to message me and say, I'm going bust? Because what's being done to support all these people? Now, this is one of the reasons why I launched Rob.team. Rob.team is my digital financial freedom platform to help you start and scale a business, make money, to multiply money, and build multiple streams of recurring income. And I'm so pissed off with the government and the school system, and you know how you're consumed for taxes and interest and loans and debt, that I've made Rob.team virtually free. I mean, it's 20 pence a day. It's basically a tiny admin fee. You can cancel anytime. There's no ongoing contract, and there's hundreds of hours of courses, resources, and masterclasses to make, manage, and multiply money. An independent platform from a bare-knuckle entrepreneur. That should be my new brand— bare-knuckle entrepreneur, 20 years hard, hardcore experience. So if you want to make sure you not just survive but thrive and save yourself and protect yourself from all the government bullshit, I recommend you join Rob.team. Rob.team has hundreds of hours of courses, resources, and masterclasses to make, manage, and multiply money. I do not want to be hearing you say that you're going bust like I'm hearing 2 to 3 times a week for the last 5 months from otherwise really, really successful entrepreneurs. Unfortunately, Gloria's just said that her business is going bust. So if you want to build multiple streams of recurring and passive income, learn how to get your tax bill down, how to get your income streams up, how to protect yourself from lockdowns because we protected ourselves from ours, how to protect yourself from the government increasing taxes, increase inflation. Just type in rob.team. I will support you. If your business is struggling, then essentially I'm giving you— it's 20 pence a day, cancel anytime, no ongoing contract. That's basically free. Um, Adam has said he folded his business after 15 years of trading and 10 successful years. I've, I'm just hearing this so much, it really saddens and angers and upsets me. So please make sure you, um, take advantage of Rob.team. By the way, Rob.team was a lot more money before lockdown, and I reduced it to basically an admin fee, virtually free, when lockdown happened, to support people, um, and to give back. You know, I'm one of the few people that's not just survived but thrived through this very difficult time. By the way, everything I've learned, all the challenges and mistakes and hardships, as well as the wins and the victories along the way, I will share with you in Rob.team. You get access to me to do live Q&A sessions. Um, we, we have special live events that you can join as a part— as a Rob.team member. Um, we've got various mastermind series. For example, if you join right now in Rob.team, um, I'll give you access completely for free to my 12-module, 16-hour Money Mastermind University. I was so pissed off after the lockdown with, um, what we're not taught in the banks, what we're— what the banks hide from us, what the school system won't teach us, what our parents can't teach us because they don't know. I was so pissed off I created my own degree, basically the Bare Knuckle University, let's call it that. Um, and it's 12 modules, 16 hours of hardcore practical tactical on-the-street ways to make manage and multiply money, go through— going through the 5 stages of, um, earning, going through the 4 stages of financial freedom: financial security, financial independence, financial freedom, and then financial opulence. Um, and, you know, economics, but not in a gobbledygooky economical theory kind of way, but actually in a practical reality, what works on the streets way. Um, Darren says I do give back. He's witnessed all the meetups and the, the great community. So I recommend you join Rob.team if you, like me, are pissed off with the governments and central banks. If you, like me, are hearing entrepreneurs every week saying that they're going bust, and I don't want you to be next. This is my service to you. The only reason it's not free, by the way, is because you wouldn't use it. You know, my dear friend Simon Squibb, he has this whole thing about give everything away for free, and he calls out all the people who charge for information. He's wrong, actually, because free advice is worth every penny. You've got given a book, you never read it because it was free. You've got loads of ebooks that you haven't downloaded. You've got loads of things that you've clicked and saved on your computer that you've never read, because free advice is worth every penny. But when you pay, you pay attention. However, the closest thing I can do to make it real is just to make you pay a small admin fee. When I say make you, it's your choice. Um, so I'm not making you do anything, but, um, 20p a day, cancel anytime, less than 2 large coffees a month. If you can't even invest that in yourself, then you've got more than the governments and the central banks as your problem. Helena has just said that rob.team is full of value. Um, yeah, and you should— we should definitely be wary of this impending central bank digital currency. Um, you know, our spending power is the lowest it's been since the Second World War. You know, our taxes as high as they've been since the late '70s. So you need strategies and tactics to reduce your tax bill, to increase your income streams, and this is what Rob.team is designed for. So if you don't want to be one of these people that message me virtually every day, certainly every week, to say, I'm going bust, then you need to learn not just to survive but to thrive, and you need to take full personal responsibility and educate yourself on all of this stuff. By the way, if you get education from the school system or the government on how to start a business and make money, then that is the biggest irony ever. You are the laughingstock because all they are doing is teaching you how to be a consumable, um, say-nothing, do-nothing victim to them. They need you for tax, they need you for debt, they need you for interest. They need to erode your value of your money with inflation so they can erode the value of their debt. You need to know how this works. You need to observe the masses and do the opposite. You need to learn how the central banks monetize you and do what they do but for your own business. I want to thank all the people here who are donating stars, by the way. Well done to you if you've hustled through this. I'm sorry if you've struggled through this. Please do ask any questions or reach out for any— with any help if you're struggling. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
