Rob Moore examines whether Boris Johnson's premiership is ending after the Conservative Party lost two by-elections and party chair Oliver Dowden resigned. Moore lists over ten policy failures: a chaotic Brexit deal, mishandled COVID response, the A-level grading fiasco, and economic mismanagement including high inflation and a soaring cost of living.

Is Boris Johnson finally finished as Prime Minister? That is my first question to you. What do you think? Because there's been some big news, another setback for Boris Johnson. So is this the final nail in his coffin? Is he finally finished as British Prime Minister? Now, um, The news that's happened, I'm going to tell you in a minute. I've also done some research on 11 areas where I think maybe Boris hasn't done as good a job as he could do. I would love your thoughts as I talk through them all. Now, I'm not one for doing content outing individuals. It's just not my style. But he is the Prime Minister of our country, and our country is going through one of the most disruptive times it has since the Second World War. This shit is real, this shit is serious, and I believe we should all stand up and speak out a bit. And, um, if you think about it, who should be the most accountable person in our country? The Prime Minister. So I'm going to try and keep this not personal and factual, but my first question to you, I repeat, and I'd love your thoughts in the comments: is Boris Johnson finally finished as Prime Minister, because what just happened is he lost 2 key seats in the same night. That's a rarity. Oliver Dowden has resigned as party chair after this double by-election defeat. But as usual, Boris Johnson has said, I'll keep going, I'll keep going, I won't give up, I'll keep going. One thing I've got to say about Boris is he's got some Teflon 'Cause things go wrong, I'll keep going. Things go wrong, oh, I'm sorry, I've learned my lesson, I'll keep going. And he just keepsā he's like the cat. Cat comes on your lap, throw it off. Comes on your lap, throw it off. Comes on your lap, throw it off. All right, I'll end up stroking it. So look, for sure Boris has got the chapā for sure he's got the likability and the charm factor. But look, how far does that go when the country is in the situation that it's in. So he said he'll keep going, but they've just had a double by-election loss, and Oliver Dowden, who's the party chair, has resigned because of it. So let me know what you think. Is Boris finally done? Um, he only just really got by, didn't he, on the vote of confidence? Although they used to be called vote of no confidence. He said it was a decisive victory. I think it wasā what was it? 60-40, basically, in favor of a vote of confidence. That's not decisive. That's by the skin of your teeth. So there's a bit of spin going on there. And generally speaking, in the past, when there's been such a narrow vote of confidence or no confidence, generally that's been the nail in the coffin and the beginning of the end of the Prime Minister. Andrew has said he's not likable, he's awful. Well, Clearly people liked him to vote him in in the first place, and generally now politics seems to be as much a popularity contest as anything else. So do you think he's a good Prime Minister? Do you think this is the beginning of the end for Boris? Let me know what you think, how he should improve. So here are some things I believe the government haveā maybe, maybe they could have done better. So I think the Brexit deal was a mess. I don't thinkā there was some international law they failed to uphold. Well, let's really talk more about Boris Johnson. I'm not sure he fully listened to the scientists, and I'm not sure he got a fully balanced view of COVID I'm not sure lockdowns were wise, certainly lockdown 2 and soft lockdown 3 I think were really bad decisions. I think the track and trace app and programme was a disaster. Didn't fire Dominic Cummings. Didn't provide children with free meals and had to have Marcus Rashford and other people campaign for that. All the fiasco around the A-levels, the exams, the BTECs, the GCSEs, and just giving automated results. That was a right mess. The public sector's in a mess now. We've got freaking peopleā it's not quite riots and it's not quite a revolution, but we've got strikes and that's level 1. You know, there's been various bits of racism and misogyny and stuff like that which probably weren't addressed properly, but that's moreā yeah, you know, that could be quite serious. And then of course dealing with massive taxation, soaring inflation, wild increase in cost of living, breaking his own COVID rules every single month. Shit. And then he gotā basically got a parking ticket for it. So look, maybe there's some things that could have been done. It definitely not supported entrepreneurs, definitely not supported small businesses enough, definitely not, uh, controlled taxes enough. Um, I don't know why, uh, there's this resistance towards putting interest rates up and this resistance towards fueling the economy and this resistance towards controlling inflation. I have no idea. So I would love your thoughts in the comments. Is this the final nail in Boris's coffin? Is this the beginning of the end? And is it finally time for Boris to step down, or is he just going to lose his job? Let me know what you think, um, because what's just happened is he's lost two key seats in the same night, uh, a crushing double by-election losses. And Oliver Dowden has resigned as party chair after this by-election defeat. And what do you think around the world, by the way? What's your view? I know a lot of people watch me all around the world. What's your view from overseas of how Britainā what, you know, how we're handling, um, the economy, how we handled the lockdown, how we're handling massive inflation? You know, what you think of our government? And, uh, you know, do we still have the sameā well, what's our reputation? Let me know what you think. So I would love your thoughts in the comments. I've shared there 10 or 11 things that maybe the government could could have done better. Um, so I'd love your thoughts. Is Boris finished? Let me know in the comments. I think there's lots of things we should be chatting about. I think we should all be speaking up about this, so please hit the share button and I'll see you in the comments for the chat. Thanks for tuning in. Let me know your thoughts. Oh, and let me know your thoughts on some solutions. Yeah, if we're not already too deep in this, uh, What are some solutions to get out of massive inflation, soaring cost of living, massive taxation, a bloated, somewhat self-interested government? I'll leave it there.
