Jeff Bezos Slams Joe Biden Over Fuel Prices

In this YouTube commentary, the host reacts to a tweet by U.S. President Joe Biden urging gasoline retailers to immediately lower pump prices, arguing that the request ignores the large tax component of fuel costs. The host compares U.S. fuel pricing to the United Kingdom, noting that roughly 52% of the UK pump price is tax and that UK stations operate on an 8% margin, making Biden’s demand seem unrealistic. Jeff Bezos’s own tweet criticizing Biden is highlighted, labeling the president’s statement as either misdirection or a misunderstanding of market dynamics. The host links the issue to broader themes of war spending, inflation, and government fiscal policy, suggesting that massive war expenditures drive price increases. Viewer comments from the live chat are read, expressing concerns about an impending recession, correction, or depression, and accusing Biden of hypocrisy. Throughout, the host repeatedly promotes a free “toolkit” of financial resources, masterclasses, and weekly content aimed at helping viewers save money and generate income, urging viewers to type “toolkit” in the chat to receive the materials.

So Jeff Bezos and China have openly criticized Joe Biden over his tweet on gas prices, and I'm actually pretty shocked at how Joe Biden doesn't seem to understand where most of the cost of fuel comes from. Or maybe he does, and maybe he's being a hypocrite. And I certainly hope that we don't see the UK Prime Minister following suit. So this is a tweet from US President Joe Biden. I'm going to read it word for word because I think it's pretty outrageous. My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple. This is a time of war and global peril. Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you're paying for the product. And do it now. So to me, that's a wow, mic drop moment. Joe Biden tweeting, telling gas companies to pass the price reductions down. Except in the UK, 52% of fuel price on the gas stations is tax. It's not going to be much different in America. I don't know if any of you can give me, uh, the actual amount. It's got to be something similar, so let's assume it's similar to UK. So half the fuel cost is tax, and the president tweets saying to the gas stations, cut the prices and do it now to reflect the cost you're paying for the product. Well, in the UK, the gas stations make an 8% margin. They pay about 33% on wholesale, and they make about 8%, and then the government add 52— they take 52% tax. Wow, who is this guy? President Biden. So Jeff Bezos has slammed him on Twitter. Jeff Bezos has tweeted— let me show you Jeff Bezos's tweet. Ouch. Inflation is far too important a problem for the White House to keep making statements like this. It's either straight-ahead misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics. And the reason I think he said about misdirection is a huge amount of the fuel is taxed, and yet Biden's telling the gas stations to drop their prices. They only make an 8% margin in the UK. How can they drop their prices? Utterly crazy. Uh, and then, yeah, I mean, if Biden keeps putting tens of billions of dollars into war, of course prices are going to go up. Of course fuel is going to go up if we keep financing a war and we can't get our energy. Of course prices are going to go up. So really, it's a bit of a— I don't know, a bit of hypocrisy that Biden's shouting at the gas company, the petrol station companies, to pass the prices, the savings, the cost cuttings on when there's no freaking margin in it. Um, Janima has said they can't lower the tax. Mike says he loves the high pitch Yeah, I think this is quite outrageous, to be honest. I really do. Let me know what you think, by the way. Um, Sean Paul has said USA is going to crash and so is the UK. Michelle has said Biden is a lunatic. They are not my words. But yeah, it's, um, I remember the UK politicians were putting pressure on the fuel stations to reduce the prices. Oh, we will, we'll give you a 5 pence a liter saving. And then the gas stations were trying to keep that 5 pence a litre saving themselves, which on the face of it I didn't think was fair on the consumer, but then I realised how little they make. Why can't the government reduce the fricking tax? They should pass the saving on, you fricking hypocrites. So let me just tell you Joe Biden's tweet again. My message to the companies running gas stations and setting prices at the pump is simple. This is a time of war and global peril, yeah, of which you're financing, Mr. Biden. Bring down the price you are charging at the pump to reflect the cost you're paying for the product, and do it now. Yeah, and Jeff Bezos has picked up on that, saying that inflation's far too much of a problem to talk— to make statements like this. It's either straight-ahead misdirection or a deep misunderstanding of basic market dynamics. Wow. Let me know what you think in the comments. Just a quick video this evening. Of course, the lack of supply of food and fuel and energy and gas, of course, Until the supply increases, of course there's going to be an increase in price, and it could of course lead to a shortage. Um, yeah, exactly, Martin. They could scrap VAT. They could start reducing taxes. They could not put so much budget into war.
