I don't know if you saw Amber Heard's statement, but that might even be a defamation case on its own. It was a pretty strong statement. And now Johnny Depp has also released an emotional statement. I'm going to read you that statement now. Um, I don't know if you saw the newsā Johnny Depp won his defamation case against Amber Heard, although she also won some small damages. So she won one count of defamation via Johnny Depp's lawyer and won $2 million in damages. Johnny Depp won $10 million in compensatory damages, dollars, and $5 million in punitive damages. $15 million in damages he won. Now, some people have said, who cares? But I think this is obviously huge for Johnny Depp. If it turns out he's not abused, um, Amber Heard in theā in, in any way or the way that she said, then this is justice because that could absolutely ruin his career. I didn't say anything about it until the case was decided, like a lot of people did, um, because I didn't think that it was the right thing to do because nothing was proven, and, and now it is. So I'm going to read you Johnny Depp's statement, his emotional statement that he's just released. I'd love your thoughts on the case if you think that the jury was right. And then I'll just share a couple of things that I think are really important. You know, I try and comment on things that go on in the world that are relevant and important to us all. And actually, I think that there's a lot to be learned from this case with Johnny Depp and Amber Heard. I'll share a couple of those things in a moment. So here is Johnny Depp's statement word for word. 6 years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were changed forever, all in the blink of an eye. False, very serious and criminal allegations were levied at me via the media, which triggered an endless barrage of hateful content. Although no charges were ever brought against me, it had already traveled around theā sorry, it had already traveled around the world twice within a nanosecond, and it had a seismic impact on my life and my career. And 6 years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled. My decision to pursue this case, knowing very well the height of the legal hurdles that I would be facing and the inevitable worldwide spectacle into my life, was only made after considerable thought. From the, from the very beginning, the goal of bringing this case was to reveal the truth regardless of the outcome. Speaking the truth was something I owed to my children and to all those who have remained steadfast in their support of me. I feel at peace knowing I've finally accomplished that. I am and have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and the colossal support and kindness from around the world. I hope that my quest to have the truth be told will have helped others, men or women, who have found themselves in my situation, and that those supporting them never give up. I also hope that the position will now return to innocent until proven guilty, both within the courts and in the media. I wish to acknowledge the noble work of the judge, the jurors, the court staff, and the sheriffs who have sacrificed their own time to get to this point, and to my diligent and unwavering legal team who did an extraordinary job in helping me to share the truth. The best is yet to come, and a new chapter has finally begun. Veritas numquam peritā truth never perishes. So this was Johnny Depp's emotional statement having won his case with Amber Heard. Let me know what you think in the comments. Amber Heard's statement, that was very aggressive. I actually read it in the last Facebook Live I did. I don't know if you want to have a look at that. So a couple of things. Number one, um, look, it was probably no other choice for Johnny Depp other than to sue Amber Heard for defamation Having her come out and basically say that, you know, he abused her. He's cleared his name, but it's taken 6 years, probably cost millions and millions in legal bills. I can tell you this, the biggest winner, the lawyers. The lawyers would have made tens of millions. But of course, Johnny Depp has cleared his name. The next thing is, it's such a shame that things have to get to this point, and I think a great lesson is for us to try and have conflict in a non-legal, non-public way if possible. Not always possible, but if possible, things like divorces and defamation and all those cases, try and settle them out of court and try and settle them not in the public because their lives have been dragged through the public eye in the mud and it's been brutal. So I think that's an important lesson. The next thing is the money. So this would have cost Amber Heard and Johnny Depp tens of millions of pounds. Johnny Depp's already had a lot of money issues in his life, as you may know if you've followed his story. So, um, Nikki said, uh, this is theater, but we can learn from theater, Nikki. Surely it's best to get lessons vicariously. Would heā would it not be best to get lessons of conflict and defamation and legal cases vicariously through Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, or have to go through them ourselves? And this is not uncommon, and it's the lawyers that always win. But look, Johnny Depp, um, he's struggled financially even though he's made tens or hundreds, hundreds of millions he's probably made. Uh, Mike Tyson made $400 million and still lost the lot. And my personal vision, my mission on this planet is to help people get better financial education and knowledge. I want to change the, the school system. I don't think they teach us well enough about handling money and the emotions around money. So if you are just watching and tuning in, Johnny Depp has just released a very emotional statement about his case and winning against Amber Heard. Ben has said with the greatest respect, who cares. I understand in and of itself celebrity culture maybe you don't care about. But you can learn from celebrity culture vicariously so you don't have to make the experience yourself. So you could say, who cares about the war? I'm not involved. Who cares about lockdowns? I was working from home. You could always say, who cares about things outside of you?
