KanYe West Banned From Twitter (Again) v

Rob reacts to Kanye West's Twitter suspension for posting a symbol flagged as incitement and making extremist statements on Infowars. Instead of joining the condemnation, he argues West needs mental-health intervention, drawing on his own experience with a parent's bipolar disorder to push back against an industry that treats talent as profit rather than people.

So Kanye West has been banned from Twitter again, and there's something that no one is talking about that surely humanity must step in. So I don't know if you saw the news, but once again Kanye West has just been banned from Twitter. Now he's been banned for inciting violence, for offensive tweets, He apparently tweeted a symbol that combined the SWAT sticker with the Jewish star. Elon Musk tweeted that it violated their rule against incitement of violence and that the account will be suspended. I don't know if you also saw that Kanye West went on Alex Jones' Infowars. He wore some kind of balaclava and ranted about Adolf Hitler, praising him. He also ranted about sin, pornography, and the devil. And right now there is this public, um, shit show of Kanye West. But here's why I'm doing this video. This is not the same reason everyone else is talking about Kanye West. Why is no one talking about helping him? Why is no one talking about getting his agent or his family or his close friends or his ex-wife in and actually giving him help and support and love? Because a lot of people are saying he's not very well and that he's mentally ill. Well, that's all well and good, but what about actually doing something about it? What about actually reaching out and trying to help? And this is what no one is saying, and this is what I'm saying. My dad has bipolar. I am not a doctor. I don't know if and how ill Kanye West is, but I know that I wouldn't want my dad paraded around the world, um, having a nervous and mental breakdown publicly. Now, someone has said here, you can't help Kanye West, he thinks he knows it all. Maybe that's a part of him, maybe that's a part of the illness. And like I said, I'm not a doctor, but if everyone is saying, oh, Kanye West is clearly mentally ill but no one's helping him, then I think there's something wrong with humanity. I don't know him, I'm not connected to his agent, connected to his family, But what I do in instances like this is I do reach out to see if I can help. And when Caroline Flack was going through a lot of her mental health challenges, I reached out and was communicating with her in support. Unfortunately, that was too little too late. And I've seen instances where agents or managers have somewhat abused their talent, and I don't mean physically or mentally, I mean just see them as a cash cow commodity. So I've— all right, look, he's saying things that a lot of people don't agree with, and it looks like he's saying things that are racist or inciting hate, and of course none of us support that. But what if he was your father? What if he was your son? What if, um, he was your brother, your husband? I'm just saying that, um, someone needs to help him. Someone needs to put their arm around him, and, um, maybe then, um, something will actually change. Because, um, Richard has just said, I think it's fundamentally ego-driven, it catches up. Um, Aliya said here, there's nothing wrong with Kanye. We are the sick ones for thinking that something is wrong with him. That's interesting. Um, so one, Kanye's been banned from Twitter again. Two, for inciting violence. Three, a lot of people are saying he's not well. Four, if that's the case, why won't someone close to him help him? Because, um, Kim Kardashian gets £200 a month child support now from him. $200,000 a month. Is, is that what you need now to feed your kids? Is inflation that high? Is she helping him? Is his agent helping him? Is his manager helping him? Are his family helping him? Because if they are, they're not doing a good enough job. And someone needs to say this because everyone else is just talking about the shit show. And yeah, look at Kanye West, and wow, isn't he mad, and isn't he ill, and isn't he outrageous, and shouldn't he be canceled, and isn't he racist? What about, isn't he well, and could we help him? That's all I wanted to say on this live this morning, trying to use my platform for good. If you think that, um, there should be more support for people who maybe aren't well instead of criticism, why don't you share this video? And also, why don't you let me know in the comments? It looks like not everyone agrees with me, and that's fine because everyone is entitled to my opinion. No, I like— I love discussion. I love discussion, debate. And so I'd love your thoughts and your opinion too. Is he just, you know— what do you think? Let me know in the comments. Hit the share button. Thanks for tuning in once again. Love you all. Let's give a bit more love in the world, a bit more support. I think it could help. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything. Lucia said, sometimes, Rob, you can't help people like him. Doesn't mean you shouldn't try. I've got a dad who's got bipolar. I know how hard it is. It doesn't mean you don't try. You should never try— not try just because it's hard. Jim says he doesn't need help. Really interesting to read the comments here. Let me know what you think. Summary: Kanye West has just been banned from Twitter. Everyone's talking about it. Loads of people are criticizing him. A lot of people are calling him, you know, a racist and that he's inciting hate and violence. Not many people are speaking out to say, um, who's helping him? Someone near him, get your arm around him, give him the support that maybe he needs. And I just thought I'd share that viewpoint. Thanks for tuning in. Remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything. And let me know what you think in the comments below.
