My Beef with Piers Morgan (& Andrew Tate) š¤¬

Rob Moore critiques Piers Morgan's interview with Andrew Tate, arguing Morgan talks over his guest and turns the conversation into a performance rather than letting Tate speak. After 1,150 podcasts, Moore says good interviews require letting guests talk, asking thoughtful questions, and avoiding cheap setups. Morgan's style contrasts with interviewers like Gary Vaynerchuk who also dominate, but Moore sees it as a missed opportunity.

My beef with Piers Morgan interviewing Andrew Tate. So Andrew Tate, probably the biggest person on the internet right now. Did you see he was just interviewed on Piers Morgan? Piers Morgan calls his show Uncensored. There's some irony in that. And actually, watching many, um, versions of this Piers Morgan Andrew Tate interview, as someone who's done 1,150 podcasts, hundreds of interviews. This really pissed me off and frustrated me. I thought it was a pretty shit job at interviewing the biggest person on the internet right now. And here's my beef, and I'm gonna share it. So first off, did you watch any of the clips or the interview with Andrew Tate on Piers Morgan Uncensored? If you did, let me know in the comments what you thought about it. I would love your thoughts. Here are my thoughts. It's probably one of the worst pieces of interviewing and journalism I have seen in a long, long time. Now, I respect Piers Morgan. I think he asks tough questions. He's not afraid to create a bit of controversy or challenge a guest. And, you know, many interviewers, they do not go to the places that he goes. However, when you have a guest, the first rule is you let them speak, because when you interview someone, the star is the interviewee, not the interviewer. And in this case, it was mostly all about Piers Morgan. Now, people say to me a lot, yeah, it's nearly always about Piers Morgan. But actually, Piers Morgan got the biggest person on the internet, bigger than Piers Morgan, on his show, and Piers Morgan wasted an amazing opportunity to let him speak. And I've seen this many times. So people who have a big profile often make really bad interviewers. I've seen Gary Vaynerchuk interview Mark Zuckerberg and Tony Robbins. And talked over them all the time and interrupted them and made it more about them than the guest. And it's so freaking frustrating. Like, youā when you watch Piers Morgan, yes, you want the brand of Piers Morgan. You want it to be disruptive. You want some challenge and awkwardness and to ask that difficult question. You do want that. But you don't tune into Piers Morgan to watch the entire Piers Morgan show. You do it to watch the guest. Now, I am someone who is a creator/influencer. I provide a lot of content, and I'm an interviewer. And in the early days, I did talk over my guests a little bit. I probably wanted to speak a bit too much. I get that. But Piers Morgan's bloody experienced. He's not a newbie to this game. But when you interview someone, the fundamentalist You ask a question and then you shut up and you let them answer it. And if you disagree with the point halfway through, or you want to challenge them, you wait until I've answered the first fucking question before you interrupt and interject and create another point or another question. So he doesn't let him answer the question. He interrupts him multiple times. It's one of the worst interview technique style interview journalism pieces I've seen in a long time. Now, Hadiya said it's his show. I suppose I respect that point. It's his show, he can do what he wants. Fair enough. Look at the internet and how they're reacting to his interview with Andrew Tate. Amy has said, I'm glad he spoke over him. What's the point in having him on the show then? You might as well just go, hi, it's Piers Morgan, I'm just going to talk about why I don't like Andrew Tate, A, B, C, D, E, thanks. What's the point in having him on the show if you're gonna talk over him? By the way, I've not said anything about what I think about Andrew Tate and Andrew Tate's views. I'm talking about this as an interview, this as a piece of work and art and journalism. Now, I don't know how many times Piers Morgan interrupted or spoke over Andrew Tate, his guest, but here's the irony: Piers Morgan's show is called Uncensored. Yeah, his show is called Uncensored, yet multiple times he talked over him and didn't let him answer and argued with him and therefore partly censored him. What? Now, by the way, I'm not judging Piers Morgan the human. Would I have Piers Morgan on my show? Yes, I would. Do I think Piers Morgan has done some good work? Yes, I do. Do I admire his, um, bullishness and directness? Yes, I do. Um, Paula said he hasn't asked you to an interview. Do you mean Andrew Tate or Piers Morgan? Because one of those I am interviewing. So, all right, great. Also, what was really poor, I thought, is Piers Morgan set him up multiple times. Now, if Iā there was, um, a young girl, she was 14 years old, and she was on Twitter and she was watching some She managed to watch some suicide content and she ended up committing suicide on Twitter. Not on Twitter, but because of the content she'd seen on Twitter, apparently. And instead of Piers Morgan saying, what do you think about social media and the increase in suicide, he talked at length about this person who committed suicide and linked it to a question and threw it at Andrew Tate, essentially setting him up trying to have some cause-effect link with specific tragedies on social media. That's really unprofessional and quite disrespectful. He did it loads of times. He tried to make out he was a friend of Alex Jones and set him up with that and link Alex Jones to obviously his comments on the Sandy Hook shooting. He tried to pretty much accuse him of being transgenderphobic. He did all of this. On the show. By the way, that's only about 8 minutes worth. I think it was really poor, really poor, and it makes me think there's some ego, there's some insecurity, etc., coming out. Hasina said she saw, um, Gary Vee interviewing Matthew McConaughey and it was a car crash. Yeah, so, um, I saw Gary Vee do this with Tony Robbins. I saw Gary Vee do this with, um, Mark Zuckerberg. Yeah, just talk over them, interrupt them, not let them speak. One thing I've learned as someone who's interviewed hundreds of people is the guest is the star of the show, not you. Let me say that again. The guest is the star of the show, not you. And look, I've interviewed a lot of cool big names, but there are these names I would like to interview. Some of them I might have already agreed. Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. And I know I'd do a better fucking job because I'd let them speak. What you need to do as an interviewer is have the question so well-worded that the art is in the question. Don't make it a cheap setup. Don't interrupt 100,000 times. Let the guest have their say. And if you want to challenge the guest, then find something specific they said and ask them to expand their point on that. And then when they're finished, you're allowed to have a comeback if you think it's relevant, or ask another question. Oh my God, Piers, you fucked that up. I'm sorry, Piers, that was not good. Um, although that might play into his hands because now everyone's talking about it, and if it was really good, would I do a live on it? I don't know. Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments. Um, I'm really fascinated. Just a quick summary is my beef with Piers Morgan interviewing Andrew Tate was it's one of the worst pieces of interview journalism I've seen in a long while. Interrupted him a load of times. Talked over him a load of times, which is ironic when his show is called Uncensored. I would say it was part-censored. Set him up really cheaply with trying to link really, really awful events in the world to Andrew Tate being part responsible for it. I thought that was lame. Just ask the question. Um, I thought there was some ego and insecurity coming out from Piers there. I think, you know, there was definitely some masculine ego tension going on. And should have just asked him the questions he wanted to ask and let him have his say. And then if he's got more questions or more points or challenges his answers, let him finish and then challenge his answers. Man, come on. Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments. Just a quick live this morning seeing as it's all over the internet. Um, cool, right? Now look, um, I've launched a brand new channel to do bonuses and giveaways on a weekly basis. I did a load yesterday, I'm doing a load today, and I'm doing a load on Tuesday. So I'm just going to share the link in the comments in a moment to my brand new Telegram group. When you see the link, just go and click it and join. Um, or if you're already on Telegram, just click the link and you'll go into Telegram. If you're not, go and download the Telegram app on the App Store and then search Disruptors Group. So there's the Telegram link, I've just shared it at the bottom. So currently I'm giving away one-to-one free mentoring calls Um, I'm gonna do a Ā£15,000 cash donation giveaway from the Rob Moore Foundation, behind-the-scenes, uh, podcast interviews, and hopefully you'll see me do a better job than Piers did. Now, if you're already on Telegram, you can just click the link from your phone and it will take you to Telegram. If you're on your laptop or you don't have the Telegram app, you probably need to go and download the Telegram app on your phone and then just search Disruptors Group. Let me say that again, it's Disruptors Group. Um, so would you like to get more access to me? Would you like to get some bonuses and gifts and resources? From me. And by the way, you can vote on what you would like from me. Someone said a million quid, someone said my Lamborghini. Probably do those a bit later. Um, but people are asking for 15-minute one-to-one calls, resources. Um, they're asking for advice on their business, business plans, and they want to shadow me in certain things that I might do, um, in my business. I'm probably going to get a group of you to come and do an office tour if that's what you want. I've got about 100 staff in the offices. I'll make you have a tour around for you. Um, if you have to go and download it, search Disruptors Group on, um, Telegram. Get the app from the App Store or just click the link that I've just shared there. Cool, cool. So did you watch the interview with Piers Morgan and Andrew Tate? And what did you think about it? Do you agree with me? Do you disagree with me? Was it a good job? Was it a bad job? Was it a hatchet job? Was it a setup job? Or do you think it was fair and reasonable and right? Do some people would have said that, though? Well, Andrew Tate deserved it. I don't know. Let me know what you think. I've shared my thoughts. And if you agree it was pretty shocking, then why don't you share this? Because you know what, there's a lot of people in really high positions who are really not that good at their job. They're good at other jobs that got them there. Um, I just thought, I don't know. And by the way, I'm 5% jealous because Piers Morgan can get all the top guests. Now, by the way, I've had Jordan Peterson, I've had some of the top guests, but you know, Piers Morgan's got a bit more weight than me. He can get some of these bigger guests, but he's just not great an interviewer, or he wasn't with Andrew Tate. So I'm coming for you, Piers. We have been talking to Piers's team about coming on my show. We haven't made it happen yet, and I will challenge him on this. Thanks for tuning in, and come and join my brand new giveaways Telegram group if you want exclusive bonuses, giveaways, one-to-one calls, behind the scenes live audiences of my celebrity podcast interviews, shadow me in my business for a day, you name it, I'm giving it away inā once a week, every week. And I'm doing a Ā£15,000 cash donation giveaway in a few weeks' time in my brand new Telegram group. The link is in the comments. I'll see you there. And by the way, if you haven't got the Telegram app yet, it's a cool app like WhatsApp but better, um, and you can download it on the App Store. If you're on a laptop, it might not take you to the group, so you might need to get the app on your phone. I'll see you in Telegram and have your say. Come and let me know what you would like me to do for you. Cheers! And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
