My Daughters’ School is Shutting due to Tax Hikes

In a passionate monologue, the speaker recounts how their daughter's private school was forced to shut down because of recent tax increases—specifically VAT on fees, higher National Insurance, and increased business rates—pushed by the Labour government. They describe the emotional impact on their child and the 200 other affected pupils, criticize the government's "politics of envy" for taxing education, and argue that these policies will strain already over‑burdened state schools. The speaker uses the incident to highlight a broader failure of the education system to teach basic financial literacy, claiming schools teach outdated job pathways that lead to lifelong debt. To address this, they promote their own digital financial‑freedom platform, Rob.team, detailing its low‑cost subscription (originally £30/month, reduced to 20p/day during lockdown) and the new homeschooling finance series that will grant free membership to anyone under 18. Throughout, they call listeners to share the message, join the platform, and oppose the tax policies they deem disastrous.

My daughter's school is closing down because of the tax hikes. Personally, I find this disgusting and outrageous. And yes, I now, um, feel it personally because my daughter is in absolute bits. There's 200 distraught innocent children because Labour are in the game of politics of envy. And to me, it's disgusting that education is taxed. Why are we taxing education? Why are we ruining education of the brightest kids? This country is already being ruined by this and the last government, and now they want to tax education. It makes me so angry. I tweeted about this, it got millions of views. The Times, the BBC, LBC all wanted to interview me. I declined it out of respect for my family. And then people were saying that I'd made it up, and then people wanted me to name the school. I don't have to answer to all of this, but I'm going to make it a more broad issue because it is a scam, a travesty, and an absolute disgrace that education is taxed. Education for our children should be free and it should be good. And the future of our nation is based on our children. And so one of the reasons, um, I launched Rob.team, which is my digital financial freedom platform, essentially my global money school, is because I'm so frustrated with the education system. You're not taught basic money management. You're not taught about budgeting, dealing with your money emotions. You're not taught any of this. You're just essentially taught to get an out-of-date job so that you can pay taxes and be in debt and pay interest until you die and then pay inheritance tax when you die. And to me, this all needs to change. Now, a few people were making out, oh well, it's not the Labour government's fault that the school has shut down because VAT is charged to the parent. But actually, my school proposed, my daughter's school proposed to share the VAT load because they were worried about losing a load of parents. They needed something like— they have 180 pupils, they needed 200 to 220 to break even. And with the VAT, the National Insurance, and the business rates, which went under the radar, um, schools are now charged business rates, they need 250 kids to break even from needing 200. They've just shut down. The school has completely shut down, which of course is going to put a load of pressure on all the state schools because they're already full and the quality of them is really bad. So, you know, all the people singing Cry Me a River because we can afford private school, well, it's just going to affect your kids and the state school system, and it's all completely broken, and it's an absolute disgrace. And you should speak out about this, and you should share this if you agree with me. Um, when's it gonna stop? You know, the 20% VAT, 25% corporation tax, 45% income tax, 60% in the bracket between £120,000 and £125,000 income tax, business rates, National Insurance of 15%, pension contributions you have to make, and the list of taxes goes on and on and on. And that's on what you earn. And now on what you spend, there's VAT added on. There's now VAT on school fees. This shit's just going on and on and on and on and on. It's complete outrage, and something has to be done about it. Um, so I've done something about it. Obviously I do all of my content, I regularly get canceled and, um, a lot of hate for it, but I'm going to still keep doing it. Thank you for supporting me. Um, but what I've done about it is, um, my global money school, rob.team. So before lockdown, rob.team was £30 a month, which is only a pound a day. And then when lockdown happened and everyone was really struggling, I reduced it right down to 20 pence a day, which is basically almost free. It's like an admin fee, 20 pence a day. That's less than I spent on coffee today in a whole month. Um, and I haven't put the price back up because the world's still screwed. Everything is just screwed left, right, and center. So if you'd like to learn how to make, manage, and multiply money and build multiple streams of recurring income and start your business and get your tax bill down— because there are still ways— and get your income streams up, I recommend you join Rob.team. Um, and the link is rob.team. T-E-A-M. Go join right now. Um, by the way, you can cancel anytime. There's no ongoing contract. Um, it's half the price of Netflix. Um, and there's hundreds of hours of courses, resources, and masterclasses to make, manage, and multiply money. And get this, I've decided to do something. I decided this before, but I'm doing this even quicker now based on these schools shutting down and all these tax hikes. I'm going to do a new homeschooling course in Rob.team for my kids and your kids. And, um, all kids under the age of 18 will get free membership with your membership. So you join Rob.team, you pay less than 20 pence a day, you get hundreds of hours of courses, resources, and masterclasses to make, manage, and multiply money, get better financial education and knowledge. And, um, you can give your kids the login and they can come and, um, homeschool for free. I'm not saying it replaces a full school system, Um, but I am doing a homeschooling and finance series for kids. I found someone who's been in the school system for 30 years, knows it inside out, but is disillusioned and agrees with me on what should be taught. And we're going to— we're creating right now a course together. And, um, I commit, as long as you're a member, that if you've got kids under the age of 18, you can give them your login and they can always have a free membership, because I'm gonna freaking well do my bit, because I think it's really wrong. So let me know what you think about the politics of envy and wiping out the private school system and adding VAT and National Insurance and business rates to private schools. And by the way, I've got it on really good record that Labour were warned and warned and warned again about what would happen and they didn't even care. It's like they want to break the private school system because there's some kind of class issue. To me, it's absolutely ridiculous because the one thing we need in this country is better education, and, and we're ruining it. So I'd love your thoughts, and come join me in Rob.team. Get hundreds of hours of courses, resources, and masterclasses to make, manage, and multiply money. Get your tax bill down, your income streams up. Become part of a global money school, um, what they don't teach you in school because they don't want you to know it. And clearly what Labour don't know about running an economy— an economy is a business, a business is an economy, and no one in the senior positions in Labour has ever run a business. No wonder the economy is screwed. And I'll help you create a great personal economy for you in Rob.team, and your kids will always have a free membership where we'll launch the homeschooling finance series off the back of this disgrace that our schools are now shutting, including my daughter's, categorically because of VAT, National Insurance, and business rates that have added since Labour come in, um, and the break-even's gone from 200 kids to 250, and there are 180 and they're just doomed. So thanks for tuning in, really appreciate you. I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing this, get the message out there. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
