Nato: Sanctions on Russia ’Worth it’ 😳

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg says sanctions on Russia are worth the cost, but the G7's price caps on oil and gold import bans will drive inflation and higher taxes globally. The host argues you need to protect yourself by holding less cash and building alternative income streams.

So the head of NATO has just said that the sanctions on Russia are a price worth paying. So NATO believe that the sanctions, whilst dramatically increasing energy costs, are a price we should all pay because the consequences are much worse. Now, I don't know if you've been seeing, but there's been the G7 summit And basically it looks like there's going to be lots of money given to Ukraine for this war. You know, wars cost billions, and billions come from tax. Tax started and originated to fund wars, and so it looks like you are going to be paying a lot more in tax. So Jens Stoltenberg, who's the NATO chief, believes that the sanctions and the dramatic increase in energy costs are a price worth paying to hopefully what they believe will shorten the length of the war. I would love for your thoughts in the comments. Please let me know what you think about this. NATO believe that the world would be far more insecure if Russia win the war in Ukraine. There's been reports that people should be preparing for a long war ahead, and world leaders at the G7 summit are expected to approve plans to increase the number of troops on high alert. The G7 leaders set out fresh measures against Russia during their separate summit in Germany. They agreed to work on a price cap for Russian oil, pushed for a ban on gold imports, and called on countries not to stockpile food. So this is all the shit that's going on as we speak right now with the war between Russia and Ukraine. So that's what's going on. Now let's talk about how we think it will impact us. So John has said here that he believes food shortages are coming. I personally believe that there will be a dramatic increase in our cost of living over and above what we've already experienced. So we're experiencing double-digit inflation, massive cost of living of food and energy, etc. But I believe there's more to come. Fuel, you're taxed 52%. Did you know that? I ranted about that this morning. You are taxed 52% of your fuel. I don't know how many hundreds of billions have been pumped in by NATO into this war. I'm not saying if it's right or wrong. Let's be honest, there should be no wars going on in the world. Maybe that's a bit utopic and a naive fantasy of mine, um, but certainly, uh, Russia winning this war, NATO believe, um, is going to be bad, um, and they think that this big, uh, soaring cost of living increase is the price worth paying? So let me know what you think in the comments. Now, um, I always like to give solutions because, um, look, there's a lot of shit going on in the world and I'm trying to do my best to inform and address these issues and speak out some— sometimes and rant sometimes. Um, no, I'm not going out tonight, I'm doing a podcast interview, hence the jacket, but it does look like a going out jacket. Anyway, stop distracting me, I'm trying to do a serious video here. But the thing is, there's the world economy and then there's your economy. There's the global GDP and then there's your GDP. And I believe there's a few things you need to put in place and in measure to make sure that you look after yourself, because without looking after yourself, you can't look after your family, you can't look after your family, you can't look after your community, and it spirals outwards. So number 1 is you've got to minimize the amount of cash you've got in savings. 1, because I don't really trust the government to look after it. 2, the banks won't insure it. 3, there's virtually no interest. And 4, there's massive inflation. So what you want, your basic cost of living in the bank, and then you want to get the rest out. The next thing you need to do is invest your money into secure assets. So you might look at gold, you might look at watches, you might look at property and real estate, you might start a business and invest in marketing and growing a company. You might build online courses and digital assets. I'll talk to you about those in a moment. Just before I move on, let me know whether you think the sanctions are right, by the way, because at the start I guess I was quite— I wouldn't say pro-sanctions, but I prefer financial sanctions to sending in tanks and planes and bombs. Certainly it felt like a better way to end this. But there doesn't really seem to be any desire to give Putin some kind of out or exit. And I believe Putin's not just gonna roll over, and you've gotta give him something. I remember a billionaire saying to me the best advice he ever received was, "When you back a rat into a corner, always give them a hole to exit through." And I'm not saying Putin's a rat, but I'm saying, you know, you're backing Putin into a corner here. Not saying that's right or wrong, but that's what's happened. Gotta give him something, surely. He's not just gonna walk away and go, "Yeah, I was wrong to start the war. Sorry." So yeah, we don't seem to be very good at negotiating treaties. In the UK, there's a massive rail strike, and the unions and the government got together twice. They couldn't organize a piss-up in a brewery or their way out of a paper bag. And now there's gonna be post strikes, there's going to be barrister strikes, there's just strikes across the board. In airports, And no one can fucking organise anything. And the government are just laying the tax over and over and over and over and printing the money over and over and over and over and whacking inflation up and up. Well, inflation is going up and up and up and up. They're doing nothing about it. Absolutely nothing about it. Not in my view anyway. If you think they're doing something about it, prove me wrong. I'm always open to discussion. I'm always happy to be proved wrong. Don't have all the facts. But I don't see the government doing anywhere enough to reduce inflation. Why aren't they increasing interest rates to support small businesses, to reduce taxes, to increase benefits and subsidies and incentives to start businesses and to employ people? All they're doing is like, oh, don't put prices up, businesses. Don't put rents up, landlords. Oh, you know, everyone, don't put your prices up. No, you've got to stop freaking charging us so much in tax and eroding our money so hard with everything that— fuel, food, gas, energy, commodity, all gone through the roof. Basic living expenses all gone through the roof. So come on, government, you should be doing something about it, or you should be doing more about it. So here's what, um, yeah, quick summary, um, and that is the, uh, NATO have said the massive increase in cost of living and energy is a price worth paying to have sanctions on Russia because they believe the world will be way more insecure if Russia wins the war. And so they've agreed on, well, at the G7 summit they've agreed to pump a load more money into, you know, backing, financing Ukraine in this war, and it's all just going to end up in a load more taxes. So yeah, uh, we will— who's paying for the war? You are. Who's paying for the war? I am. We are. We all are. So anyway, protect yourself. Get your money out your bank because it's eroding with inflation. Get it into secure assets that produce income. Um, make sure that you start a business and create multiple income streams. So my question is, do you have digital assets? Books, audiobooks, online courses? A mentoring, masterminding information that you share. Do you have a side hustle or a side income, maybe an Etsy shop or e-commerce? Um, are you creating recurring income, not just occurring income? These are some things you need to start thinking about to, to manage and master your economy while the economy is crashing, to increase your GDP while the GDP is going down. Thanks for all the kind comments in the, in the chat. Here's why the war's going to last years. It's going to take hundreds of billions in finance. Your tax is going to go up. Inflation is going to go up. Cost of living is going to go up. It's only just started. The strikes are going to happen. The— your ability to just live and feed yourself and fuel your car and your house going to get much harder. Everything we took for granted, can't take for granted. And I'm looking around, there's going to be postal strikes, there's barrister strikes, there's air strikes, there's rail strikes. That's just the start. Basically, all the public sector are probably going to strike, aren't they? Let's be honest, because they're not getting inflationary pay rises. Man, it's going to shit. That's why I chose to be an entrepreneur, because at least with an entrepreneur you've got a chance of having autonomy and freedom and choice. Because you run your own businesses. I don't know if you've ever had a payslip. Let's say you got £5,000. No, you didn't. Why is there only £2,400 in my bank? I got paid £5,000. I never saw half of it. That's how it works when you're employed. When you're an entrepreneur, you make all the money, you even take the VAT, and you pay the tax later. So as an entrepreneur, you pay yourself first and you pay tax last. As an employee in the system, you pay tax first and you pay yourself last, and now you've got nothing left. 'Cause this ridiculous hike in increased cost of living across the board everywhere. That's why you want to join Rob.team, to become an entrepreneur. By the way, to be an entrepreneur doesn't have to be full-time, it can be part-time, or it can be big time. You can build a lifestyle or an empire. And it's one-third of the cost of Netflix, by the way. Netflix, you watch crime and horror and you get depressed. On Rob.team, you learn, you earn, and you invest. You build multiple streams of income. You turn content into cash flow, passion into profit, information into income. You build assets. You create multiple streams of recurring income. So go and join now. Open a new page and type in rob.team on the internet right now. I'll see you in Rob.team. Look, I don't know how long this war's going to last. Let me know what you think in the comments, but they're preparing for a long one. And the head of NATO says that the sanctions against Russia are a price worth paying for freedom. They believe that the world will be way more insecure without these sanctions. The G7 leaders have met, um, and they're financing a load more money into Ukraine, into the war. The war will cost hundreds of billions. The lockdown will cost hundreds of billions. Inflation and quantitative easing will cost hundreds of billions. The world's going mad. That's why you need to be an entrepreneur. That's why you need to join Rob.team. That's why you need to protect yourself from the system. That's why you need to have autonomy and freedom. I believe the best way to do that— digital assets, recurring income, online brand, content into cash flow, leveraging social media and the internet. You can, um, do it from anywhere in the world. And you're not beholden to anyone in the system. So I'll see you at rob.team. Open up a new page, type in rob.team. Come and join.
