Never Tell People These 4 Secrets ⛔️

Rob Moore lists four things to keep private: specific goals (others get jealous and sabotage), what you loved about exes or past partners, secrets people tell you, and your net worth. He argues vulnerability is overrated when it comes to these topics.

Never ever tell people these 4 secrets about you. Now, everyone out there telling you to put yourself out there, be open, share, give, be abundant, be vulnerable. But these 4 things I believe you should never ever share about you. These should stay secret, and you should take them with you to your grave. Number 1 is your goals. Now, I know that goes against a lot of personal development, but I don't think you should share your goals with anyone. Now, should you share a vision on how you can impact your company, your family, the planet? Yes, a vision and a purpose, a mission, a cause— you should absolutely share that. It's general and it's meaningful. But your specific goals, what you want to be, do, and have, number one, no one cares. Number two, most people are jealous. They don't want you to be successful. They don't want you to achieve your goals. So they'll only hold you back or be neggy and critical. And then also, I do know quite a few people who are always saying, I'm gonna do this, I'm gonna have a billion-dollar company. I'm gonna be a billionaire. And when they say, I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna, it usually means they'll never. So don't share your goals. Work on them privately, secretly, secretly and quietly, and then let your results do the talking. Number 2 thing I believe you should never share, a secret that should go with you to your grave, is things you liked and loved about your exes. You should not be telling anyone, especially your current partner, what you loved and what you liked about your exes. I had this ex, in fact I had two exes, that always used to say, "Oh, well, my ex-boyfriend never did that." "Oh, my ex-boyfriend was really good at that." "My ex-boyfriend used to do mixed martial arts." "My ex-boyfriend had a six-pack." Well, fuck off back to your ex-boyfriend then! I don't wanna know! I don't wanna know how he could— I'm not even gonna go there. But don't share anything you liked and loved about your exes. That is a surefire way to ruin any relationship. Okay, the third thing you should never share, a secret you should go to the grave with, is anything someone trusts you with, any secret someone shares with you. Now, I'm the sort of guy that if you explicitly tell me this is a secret, I will die with it and tell no one. But if you don't, I'll accidentally go and tell everyone because, you know, my brand is sharing information. So if you're going to share secrets with people, tell them to keep them a secret. Never share anything with anyone that, you know, you wouldn't want anyone else to know. And if someone trusts you with a secret, die with that secret. Because if you keep secrets, you, you're trustworthy. People will always love you, respect you. They will be loyal and fight for you. But there's nothing worse than someone sharing a secret that you thought you could trust with that person. Now I've got one more, and it's about your money, by the way. Um, but I would like your thoughts in the comments. What secrets do you think that you should never share, either about you or things that you should just never discuss with anyone? I'd love to hear your thoughts. Number 1, I don't believe you should share your goals, your vision and mission. Yes, because that's a generic thing that inspires people. But your be, do, have goals, people don't care about, they get jealous about, they hold you back on. Um, you should just work privately and let your actions do the talking. Number 2 thing you should never tell people, a secret you should die with, is things you like to love about your exes. And that could be ex-business partners, ex-employees, and ex-lovers. The 3rd thing is any secret someone has shared with you, never share with anyone else. Honestly, you are such a valuable human being if you can keep secrets. People will be drawn to you, they will trust you, and there's no greater feeling than someone really trusting you. Then the fourth thing you should never share, and all these influencers out there in business and entrepreneurship, this kind of goes against the grain a bit. You should never share your net worth. People are often asking me, Rob, what's your net worth? Rob, you know, what are you worth? How much money have you made? How many millions have you got? I don't mind telling people generic figures like I've made hundreds of millions, or I've got an X-value property portfolio or X-turnover business, but never ever discuss your net worth. My accountant, my business partner, and my wife swore me to secrecy to never tell anyone my net worth because one, the government might want your money, the taxman might want your money, your staff might want your money, the world might want your money. When everyone knows what you're worth, they might all want your money. And by the way, also, no one gives a shit how much you're worth. Just like no one cares about you. If I said to you, I'm going to be a billionaire, do you care? No, you don't. In fact, you probably think, well, greedy bastard. You only care about my goals if they help you. You only care about my net worth if it helps you. So, um, I'll give a range, but I never share my net worth. Okay, so let me know what you think. What secrets do you think should never be shared? I say 1, your goals. 2, things you liked and loved about exes and past people. 3, any secrets someone has shared with you. And 4, your net worth.
