Boris Johnson's top COVID advisers got knighthoods in the 2022 New Year Honours: Chris Whitty, Jonathan Van-Tam, Jenny Harries, and June Raine. The presenter argues it's premature, saying the pandemic response isn't finished and lockdown costs were never properly modelled.

So the New Year's Honours List, the knighthoods, the MBEs, the OBEs, the CBEs, the Dames has been announced, and I have to say I was very surprised. So in the announcement for the New Year's Honours List, which is a big thing in the UK every year for services to our country, um, many of Boris's advisors, shall we say, So, for example, the Chief Medical Officer, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, the UK Health Secretary, the head of the vaccines regulator— these people have all just been knighted. Now, I'd love your thoughts in the comments. So let me just share the news with you. I mean, look, there's been some, you You know, Emma Raducanu's been knighted, Tom Daley's been knighted. Congratulations to those guys, been serving our country for decades. There's people that have been serving our country for decades, but Professor Chris Whitty, um, and Professor Jonathan Van Tam have just been knighted. Boris's advisors in the COVID Pandemic. Um, now Chris Whitty is the Chief Medical Officer. Professor Jonathan Van Tam was appointed Deputy Chief Medical Officer. Uh, Jenny Harris is Chief Executive for the UK Health Security Agency. June Raine is the head of the Vaccines Regulator. And they're being called heroes. But let me offer a few thoughts. Number 1, Surely the job isn't done yet. Like, don't people get knighted when they've done their job, or they've done their job for many decades? Tom Daley's done how many Olympics? Emma Raducanu has just won a major tennis tournament. There's been people who've been serving their industries and their countries and their niches and their communities and their charities for 30 and 40 and 50 years. And haven't been knighted. And then in 2 years, the Chief Medical Officer, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, the UK Health Secretary— or rather, the Chief Exec of the UK Health Secretary Security Agency— have just been knighted. Now, I'm not judging these individuals, but surely the job isn't done. Surely you get knighted when you've done the job. And you've done the job for many years. No, I'm not kidding you. Please let me know what you think in the comments. Now, these all sound like they're Boris's advisors. Well, well, they are Boris's advisors. Was there enough modeling of the consequences and costs of lockdowns and effects on small businesses? And I don't know that there was. A lot of people were saying that there wasn't enough modeling of not just the benefits of a lockdown, but the consequences and costs of a lockdown. Now, it's easy for us all to say looking back, oh yeah, well, it's easy with the data now. Of course it is. And I'll be the first to say it's easier looking back than at the time. And would I like to have been the Prime Minister at the time that it all kicked off? Absolutely not. You're damned if you do, you're damned if you don't. However, the job is not finished. It is not finished. How— why did people get knighted? You know, you're not gonna buy my book if it's half finished. I shouldn't be a number one best-selling author for a half-written book. Now, the latest variant looks like it's nowhere near as dangerous or as threatening, yet there were such drastic measures just before the Christmas and New Year break. Which killed many small businesses, which wiped out their December, which is their best month of the year. Many companies, you know, retail, leisure, hotels, restaurants, pubs, bars, clubs, gyms, you know, you name it, many of these have lost such massive business in their best time of the year to trade. So number 1, let me know what you think in the comments of the New Year's honors list of 1, 2, at least more of Boris's advisors have just been knighted for their services in, you know, the pandemic and the lockdown. Let me know what you think in the comments. Then also hit the share button because I do think we have to speak out a bit more. I saw, um, someone I connected with, James Smith, he just did a video because Boris said it's easier to get boosted than it is to make New Year's resolutions on losing weight. And I was like, what? Wow, wow. Like, surely one of the best things you can do for the longevity of your life is to lose weight and be healthy. And the underlying inclination is, oh, don't worry too much about that, just get boosted. Really? Really? This is the leader of our nation. Shit. Oh yeah, by the way, Happy New Year. Happy New Year. So I remember when all the Ashes, or many of the Ashes cricketers, got MBEs for their services to cricket when they won the Ashes in Australia, I think, for the first time in a zillion years. But they didn't get the MBE after the first test, or the second test, or the third test. They got it when they won the series. Surely we wait until we're fully defeated— COVID Omicron, lockdown— and then we judge. The job is not done. It is not done. They're being called heroes. Now maybe they are looking back, and I'm not judging the individuals, they're doing their job the best they can, I'm sure. But these are just Boris's advisors, and it just looks like mates' rates. Hey, let's— hey, do you want an MBE? Do you want a knighthood? Here you go. So quick reminder, New Year's Honours List just been released. Please hit the share button. This is big news, but mark my words, this is bigger news than it seems. Professor Chris Whitty, Professor Jonathan Van Tam have just been knighted in the New Year's Honours List. They will now be called Sir, and they regularly brief the nation. Chris Whitty is Chief Medical Officer. Professor Jonathan Van Tam was appointed Deputy Chief Medical Officer. Jenny Harries, chief executive of the UK Health Security Agency. Dr. June Rain, head of the vaccines regulator MHRA. They are both named as dames. But the job isn't done. Let's finish the freaking job first. Let me know what you think in the comments. It sounds to me like it's Boris's mates. Um, was there enough modeling of the consequences of lockdowns, of restrictions, of mandates? I don't think there was, and I think that was pretty much announced and proven. You know, all the restrictions that have affected our trade, affected our well-being. I've got some difficult news in our family about someone who's very, very ill, and had they been very, very— they're seriously ill— and had they been this seriously ill in lockdown, they would never have been able to get treatment. So you probably knew someone with a serious illness, a terminal illness, cancer, etc. There must have been hundreds of thousands of those people who who couldn't get in hospital for 6 months or a year. What happened to all of them? How many people actually died of, not with— of, not with— now, by the way, I haven't got the science. Everyone thinks they're a scientist. I don't. I haven't got any of the science, or at least I can only see what I'm being fed by the media. So how do you know? So I'm not necessarily judging the decisions. I'm judging the consequences of the decisions in terms of You know, lockdowns and quarantines and mandates and everything else. But now when it's not even finished and there's hardly any subsidies and supports for small businesses, they're getting freaking knighted like we've won the war. It's only just started. Just seems so wrong to me. Let me know what you think. Now, I've been campaigning to support the small business. There was a token £6,000 grant subsidy for specific small sectors. But no reduction in VAT, no reduction in corp tax, no reduction in income tax, no reduction in national insurance. In fact, increases in national insurance, increases in corp tax. Yet many businesses across the UK and the world robbed of their ability to trade in their best month of December, and all the fear that that brings us to in the new year. People don't do anything when they don't know what's going on. And the government are pumping all this fear. Get boosted now, you know, save your granny's life, that kind of shit. And so all this fear means people can't trade, they can't live normally. And how many businesses are going to go under? How many people are going to lose their jobs? How high will unemployment be? Who's going to have to pay for that? The job isn't over, and yet they're dishing out MBEs like they're freaking, you know, chocolate coins at Christmas. Oh, you were doing some announcements, you can have one. You, or you can have one. I mean, there's 4. 1, 2, 3, there's 4 of them. 4. Holy shit. Do you think the Chief Medical Officer, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, the exec of the UK Health Security Agency, do you think these people should be getting MBEs when I believe the job isn't done? They're being called heroes. Heroes for what? We haven't got all the data yet to know. We could look back and go, it was the worst thing to lock people down or do A, B, and C. Or we could look back and go, that was the right decision when we've been able to learn retrospectively and do some counter-modeling and some honesty. Like, they don't show any of the protests in the mainstream media. They say died with COVID not died of. They don't tell you the deaths of all the people that couldn't get into the hospital that probably wouldn't have died had they been able to get into the hospital. They don't tell— they've not told us of all the unemployment and all the businesses that have gone under. And to be honest, it's probably going to take years to get that data, and then we can line it up and see with retrospect if it was a good decision or not. And then if it really was and they saved millions of lives, I'll freaking— I'll go there with the sword. I'll do it. But no, it's only just started. Holy shit, what a thing to wake up to on New Year's Day. Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments, and please do hit the share button, because the more things we let go and we don't speak about, the more these things happen. We have to kind of speak out and stand up. And you know, I am risking my brand and my reputation and my, you know, platforms, but if you don't risk anything You risk everything. Now, in these kind of videos I'm doing, I'm campaigning to save and support the small business. So here's how you can help. Do you want to support small businesses? Do you want local businesses to thrive rather than just the big tech companies? Do you want your local pubs, bars, shops, clubs— do you want them all to be able to succeed? The local restaurants, the boutiques, you know, the things that give the character to our nation and our cities? Because if you want them to succeed You have to do something about it. So number 1, thank you for watching my videos. That's one way you can support. Number 2, please hit the share button right now. Hit the share button, get this all over socials. Number 3, tag in a small business owner. Do you know any small business owners that you might be struggling, or have you got friends who are running small businesses? Small businesses get a tough ride of it. It's hard to run a small business. 90% of them fail. It's not hard to just be in the public sector with a safe, secure job being funded by the private sector. Most of the small businesses, 90% of the revenue and the taxation created apparently by small businesses according to— well, Damon John said in America 90% of the, the business is generated by small business. It can't be anything too dissimilar in the UK. So tag in a small business owner, and also if you run a small business, pitch yourself in the comments. Share your link, share your page, tell us what you do. I've had thousands of comments across my videos through the last few weeks on what's going on. It almost feels like an attack on the small business. Now people are saying, yeah, that's the plan, Rob, get rid of the middle class, get rid of the small business, the Great Reset, the New World Order. I don't know about that. I don't know about that. I do know though, I'm a small business owner, and even though my small business is doing really well right now, it's been the hardest 2 years of running my business my entire life. and I got some support but probably not enough from my country. So I had to take personal responsibility. But not all small business owners can trade through it. I was able to go online, leverage Zoom and lives, and, you know, have an information-based business. But some people don't. Hairdressing isn't information. You can't global livestream a restaurant and eating food and going out to pubs and bars and clubs. Yeah, let's go clubbing on Zoom. No. These businesses are going to die unless we stand up and support them. We should campaign to get the taxes down, campaign to get the subsidies and the grants up, and we should all promote and support small businesses. So number 1, hit the share button. Number 2, tag in a small business. Number 3, pitch the heck out of you and your small business in this comment. I want you to gain business from my videos, and there's thousands of comments across my videos like this, and I want to keep it going. And let me know what you think. Should the New Year's Honours List have been people who are advising us on— they're basically creating— for dealing with the last 2 years? Chris Whitty, Chief Medical Officer. Jonathan Van Tam, Deputy Chief Medical Officer. These people are getting knighthoods for jobs that aren't finished. What do you think about that? Let me know in the comments, hit the share button, and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything. We must speak up.
