Nobody F’in Cares Anymore 🤬

Rob Moore argues that apathy has infected every institution in the UK, from the NHS to banks to government, citing a £164 dental charge and systemic failures. He blames corporations and political elites for prioritizing profit over citizens, then calls on entrepreneurs and individuals to care enough to protest, vote, and hold leaders accountable.

fucking cares anymore. At the end of every show— I've done 1,000 episodes of Disruptors, my podcast— and I ask my guests, what one thing is wrong with the world that you'd love to change? And if I were answering that question, it will be for people to actually care again, because nobody fucking cares anymore. The government don't care, the banks don't care, The public sector doesn't care. The private sector doesn't care. No one wants to work. It is outrageous right now how no one seems to care the state of our ruined nation. The UK is completely dead. The politicians don't care. Do you know what? The dentists don't even care anymore. I went in for 4 minutes and they charged me £164 for a referral to then be able to have a referral to remove some poisonous wisdom tooth that I've got. So the NHS doesn't care that's broken. You know, doctors and dentists and lawyers in the private sector, they're all rubbing their hands together, loving it, that they're making an absolute packet out of this broken NHS. Our taxes are going up and up and up and up and up, and the government don't care. The politicians absolutely ruined this nation. With lockdowns and vaccines, and they don't care, and they're laughing through their teeth. They got away with it. Oh, you remember all that WhatsApp scandal that came out, all the messages of them really not giving a fuck about the country? Well, were they held to account? What happened to this Gray Report? What happened to accountability of our politicians? To me, some of those may have been crimes against humanity. What about all the deaths because of lockdown, not that lockdown was supposed to save? And no one fucking cares. No one. And I just— this is what's completely wrong with the world. I've interviewed hundreds of people since lockdown, and most people don't want to work. No one cares about their work anymore. No one has any self-respect. You actually want to do a good job, to want to build things, to want to make things, you know, pride in themselves. No one fucking cares. And this is what's wrong. Our government sends billions out to other nations and essentially fund wars, and no one cares. Our pharmaceutical companies have got us addicted to all their drugs. They don't care about the health of humanity. They care about profit at all costs. Big corporations don't care about their customers. They care about profit at all at all costs. When will this change? When will people start actually giving a shit about people and humanity and our future and our children and our children's children? I don't know, but it really upsets me. I know the only way that I can change things is by changing myself. Be the change I want to see in the world. Care about my customers, care about my family, care about my community, care about you guys. Now I'm not here to, oh, look at Rob and look how much he cares. But, you know, every single day I do try and do something for my communities and for the people who are struggling. Every Christmas Day and Boxing Day, I do a lot of calls for free to help people who are struggling. How many people, you know, are you helping on a daily basis? But the problem is you can start with you and you can help more people on a daily basis. And actually care. I never thought I'd say this. I'm an entrepreneur and I'm even shocking myself, but I don't actually think profit at all costs is the right way to do business. You know, maximizing shareholder value, that's been the rhetoric of big corporations now for, what, 40 years? And where's that got humanity? At the moment, I'm told by politicians in the know that it's actually the huge corporations that control the politicians. So they're basically not— they're saying it's not really the politicians' fault, it's the huge corporations controlling them. And of course, what huge corporations want is maximum shareholder value. That's just waffle to say maximum profit at all costs, not caring about our customers and users. Now, every massive corporation— by the way, I'm not anti-massive corporations. I am a big believer in free markets. Capitalism and not restricting the growth of companies and entrepreneurs. That is not what I'm saying. But the problem is we've put them there because we gave all of our data away for free to all the social media channels that are now bigger than God and controlling us. And I used to think, well, it's the politicians' fault because they govern, or they're supposed to govern. But the problem is it's actually the people who take responsibility. It's me and it's you. This is why I'm doing this video. I wonder if you agree, you might share this. I'm going to try not to get killed at the same time. But there is no democracy. We didn't vote for our last, what, 3 prime ministers? There is no democracy in the UK. The UK is being ruined. I've never— like, I've been in this country for 45 years and I have never seen such a broken NHS, such a broken police system. The police, they don't care. The police don't care about increasing, you know, the level of convictions and making our streets safe. I'm sorry to say that, but I don't see it, because people who care will go against the grain and they will take the risk and they will stand up and they will speak out and they will risk getting fired. So where are those people? Where are they? So I used to think, well, let's blame the politicians because they're running our country. But if the big corporations are controlling them because of the massive power and corruption within them, if this is true, then is it the politicians or is it the massive corporations? Maybe it's both, because at the end of the day, the massive corporations are funding all of the, you know, the campaigns and funding the politicians, and they're in exchange getting the policies written that they want Then it takes, it takes an entrepreneur who's a billionaire to stand up and go, I won't do this anymore. I will play by the fair rules and not influence them. And it takes a politician to stand up and go, I won't do this anymore. I won't be a puppet to massive corporations. I am going to do the right thing. Now, when did you last hear, you know, a big business, big corporation CEO say We are not for maximum shareholder value. We are for caring about our customers and clients, the very people that put us there. We voted the politicians in. We gave all of our data and we put these big social media companies in power, these big tech companies. And so actually, when I talk about all this, is it the politicians? Is it big business? Is it the banks, you know, who control all the money and control all the monetary policy and whack up our interest rates to whack up repossessions And then they want to go and buy the very repossessions that they, they pulled back off the people nice and cheap. Lloyds want to be the biggest private landlord in the UK. Well, that's a massive conflict of interest because they're a lender in the property market. And then I think about all of this, and then I think, whose responsibility is it? It's mine, and it's yours. I should have gone down to London when they locked us down and I should have protested and I didn't. I didn't because I had fear about how I might get cancelled or how some of my clients might not agree with me and how it might affect my business. But look where we are now. What, 4 years on and things are getting worse and worse and worse and worse and worse. The public sector is a massive hole and drain. It drains £1.2 trillion of our tax money every single year. And where's the value? The roads are shit. The roads are always fucked. The NHS is broken, which whacks up the price of private healthcare. So you're paying for that 2.5 times over. The police is screwed. There's mass immigration. Now look, I'm a believer in a cosmopolitan society. But like, come on, let's have people who want to work and want to build things, want to make a difference. The welfare, the welfare state's quite massive right now. Everyone just wants to sponge. You know, I went to the town centre a few months back and did some interviews on the streets with people. And I asked all the people on benefits and all the people, you know, begging. And I said, why don't you get a job? And they all said the same thing. It's not worth it. I could just get more money being on the dole. I've already got a house paid for by the government. I can come into the town centre and I can beg and get £200 a day. £200 a day for begging. The whole system from the inside out is fucked and corrupt and breaking and drowning and London bridges falling down and the empire is disintegrating. And it's my fault. And it's your fault. Here's why. If you agree, what are you doing about it? Are you doing lives about it? Are you ranting about it? Are you writing about it? Are you protesting about it? Are you voting? Are you campaigning? Are you speaking out? Because here's the problem, and I get the paradox because I face it myself. A lot of people say to me, Rob, you're going to get cancelled. Careful what you say. Oh, Rob, you'll be next. Oh, Rob, I read your book, Money Matrix. Oh, 'Oh Rob, be careful. Oh Rob, you're going to get cancelled.' Maybe. But if I don't speak out, I'll have no freedom anyway. So at least if I speak out and there's a chance I can gain some of my freedom and power back— because aren't the governments supposed to be of the people, by the people, and for the people? But they're not. They are not. So Be the change you want to see. Share this video. If there's anything about this that you agree with, share it. And if there's anything you think is fundamentally wrong, speak out about it. You know, sometimes I speak out about these things I'm passionate about, and sometimes what holds me back is I worry if I get it wrong. Well, if I'm slightly wrong or if I'm misinformed, I challenge more informed people to come and challenge and debate and discuss with me. I challenge you to come on my podcast. And correct me where you believe I'm wrong. I will never cancel anyone for disagreeing with me, for challenging me, and for debating with me. And I am going to learn more because I'm not the finished article when people have the courage to stand up and speak out and actually be public about the things they believe are right and wrong in the world. And this is another thing. There's so much power in the world and it wants to silence you because it doesn't want you. It does not want you to have a voice. Like, the banks don't want you to know how they make— they make profit out of you. The pharmaceutical companies don't want you to know how you are the product. The gambling firms don't want you to know how you are the product. The politicians and governments don't want to know how they are squandering your $1.2 trillion in tax revenue. Trying to blame each other, but ultimately everything starts with us. We can take full final personal responsibility. Each one of us can share this video. Each one of us can create our own call to arms. Each one of us can protest about the things that we think are wrong. And most importantly of all, and this is to all you big business, all you massive corporations, all you politicians, all you world leaders. One day you used to care. Like when you started, 15 years old, in your basement or at college, when you started and you had a dream to change the world, you had courage, you were brave and you cared. And you fucking lost that for power and corruption and control and greed and money and— and I get it, I'm told that money corrupts and power corrupts. It's still a choice. You've already got your billions. You're already in power, so the only way the world changes is if we all start to care a little bit more. And by the way, hold me to account. If we all just do more for each other and we do the right thing even when people aren't watching, these politicians stop being careerist politicians and actually start wanting to change the country and change policy. And the problem is you get hung, drawn, quartered, challenged, hated, trolled, and canceled for doing that. But as I always say at the end of all of my content, and I'm going to end here with this: if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
