Own Nothing, Be Happy (WEF) 😳

A creator breaks down the WEF's "Own Nothing, Be Happy" slogan, separating the sustainability pitch from conspiracy fears. He acknowledges real problems like retirement shortfalls and AI job loss, then argues you should own hard assets like real estate and gold instead of cash to protect yourself from economic upheaval.

Own nothing, be happy. This is a phrase and term used in a report written by the World Economic Forum. I don't know if you've heard about the Great Reset and the plan by 2030 to own nothing and be happy. Now, there are extreme polarized views on this. Some people believe that the current way we consume our planet is unsustainable and we are too consumerist. We can't recycle quick enough, and that the constant creation of material items is unsustainable. And therefore, no ownership, rather a, a rental economy, a circular economy. This is a potential solution to consumerism and the mass consumption. And this is what the own nothing, be happy means. You won't own your clothes, you won't own your houses. The Airbnb, the Uber, the rental economy, the circular economy. However, however, many people believe that the own nothing, be happy, the drive by the World Economic Forum is a dystopian authoritarian move for global power and control by the elites. The Great Reset to wipe out the middle class. So this kind of refers to the sharing economy where we will share living environments, we will share appliances, We will share materials because we are consuming the planet fast and hard. However, many people are saying that this will become a world that's governed by the technocratic elite who will manage all aspects of society. A few global powers, a cabal of a few people and families who will run and rule and control the world. Now look, I'm not sure if I have the dystopian, authoritarian, extreme view that many do. I do, however, believe that, um, for example, most people do not have enough savings for retirement now. For example, many people will run out of money decades before the end of their life. The baby boomers, the expense to the globe of the older aging population because we are living a lot longer. You know, this is a very real thing. The maybe overpopulation and overconsumption of our planet and overconsumption of meat and farming You know, this really is a real thing. So retirement needs a rethink. The way that we use materials needs a rethink. And I think some of the more extreme conspiracists have taken the own nothing, be happy, you know, the Great Reset of 2030, and taken it way into conspiracy doom-mongering. Doom-mongering. However, however, AI tech and robots, it has been cited, are likely to render much of human manual labor obsolete. And this AI and tech could be controlled by this global superpower, this World Economic Forum. and we may end up in a technocratic society. So I'd love to hear what you think in the comments. John Browner said, you've got it wrong, Rob. Not particularly useful there, John. Thank you for your feedback. By the way, I haven't actually said anything. I've said on one side of the equation, on the other side of the equation. So I certainly don't think I've got it wrong to try and look at both sides of an unbalanced equation of own nothing, be happy, Great Reset of 2030. So if you do want to let me know what you think is really going on, please do. I openly allow comments and criticism and challenge and discussion and debate on my videos, but give me something real, give me something meaty. And by the way, I am going to give you my view, and I am going to give you a solution. Some people are, oh Rob, do something positive and happy. Someone called me the doom monger of Europe. But however, I don't agree. Here's why. Because reality always isn't sunshine and roses and skipping down the street holding hands, hippie clip hippie clappy clap, high-fiving, hugging, kissing, clapping, singing. It's not always like that. Daniel has said it's happening right now, numbnuts. Again, another fucking useless comment. By all means, comment, but if you're going to just say to me I'm a numbnut and I'm wrong and you can't bring anything useful to the conversation, I'm pushing right back at you. My nuts are so numb from so much sex. All right, so here's what I think. I'd love to know what you think. Um, maybe there is a movement towards globalization, you know, a small— I don't want to call it a cabal, I don't want to call it the elites, that's what people call it, but naturally in any hierarchy you have a few people at the top that have the power and control. Um, however, you can do something about this. Um, so, so Jonathan has said here, own nothing and be enslaved. The only solution is submit, they say. Okay, so here's what I will say. Um, if there's a situation where property rights are going to be recalled and I'm expected to own nothing and be happy with owning nothing, I do not comply. You will not take my land. You will not take my property. You will not take my gold. You will not take my children. You will not take my freedom of speech and my freedom of thought. You will not take that. So Klaus Schwab, World Economic Forum, and anyone else who— if you are planning to do that, not saying you are, lots of people say you are, I'm I'm not saying you are, but if you are, you can back off my land. This is my land, this is my property, this is my business, this is my mini empire, these are my staff, these are my savings, these are my assets, this is my money, and it's mine, and you can fuck off. And I think a lot of people do think that our rights are being encroached and violated. I cannot say for sure, by the way, if that is the case. I don't even know if I fully believe that that's the case. You know, in the Western world we have better property rights, we have better business and ownership rights. We are not extreme communist regimes like they are in some other parts of the world, so we should be grateful for that. However, there are some things I think we have to take personal responsibility of. So in this own nothing, be happy, it's own less No privacy, share everything, own nothing. And look, I don't mind sharing some things, but I'm not sharing my house. I already share that with my wife and kids, and that's enough. And I'm not just going to give away all my privacy. And I'm going to resist where I believe I have fair ownership. I don't know what you think. Let me know what you think. So some things you can do to prepare for this. I actually do agree that it seems that how we're consuming our planet is unsustainable. I actually do agree that we don't have enough money to, um, finance and feed and retire our aging population. So some people can— some people— someone's just said here, by the way, that we We're not overpopulated. Well, we may not be overpopulated from a space perspective, as in the space of land, but I wonder if we are overpopulated from a resources perspective. We're definitely overpopulated from a finance perspective. Even though money is virtually infinite, we have this mass aging population, and they're a big financial drain. Now, by the way, I'm not here saying population control. Law of only one child, wipe out humanity. No, to me that's just too, um, extreme. However, I think the sharing economy and the circular economy of Uber and Airbnb and, you know, maybe sharing material items and possessions, I think that there's some merit in that, and that certainly should be discussed and thought We shouldn't just dismiss that as they're trying to take everything from us and have us own nothing and be happy, and there will be no middle class. However, however, you want to make sure that you are as decentralized as you can. Um, you want to make sure that the assets that you own, you have good ownership of those assets. Now, your own home in the Western world is pretty solid. Property and real estate in the Western world is pretty solid. A lot of these people who are well into the conspiracy theories, watching too many YouTube videos in their pants, are saying that they're going to recall all of our property. We don't own our property. We don't own our land. But I'm sorry, property, real estate is a utility. We need shelter. So they're going to recall money and they're going to recall gold way before they recall property and land. So actually, honestly, in the Western world, property and land ownership's pretty fucking solid. Our legal system is really good, and I think you need to stop watching YouTube videos if you think they're going to take our property from us anytime soon. So I would say that's a good, solid, sound investment. I would actually say material items are good. Um, you know, a lot of people say materialism is bad. Well, if you've got gold and if you've got Rolex Daytonas and if you've got art and if you've got tradable material items, if there is a Great Reset, if there is a New World Order, if there is a money revolution, then you have hard assets that are actually fucking worth something that you can trade when the currency goes to shit. So all these people are— materialism is bad. Now, in the past, they've made it illegal to own gold when they've needed to pull them all the money in. But if they made it illegal to own gold in the Western world, there's going to be fucking anarchy, there's going to be fucking riots and revolution. So it's so unlikely to happen. But if you want to protect yourself, number one, own real estate and property. Own your own home, don't rent it. Own it, um, and own some real estate that are real investments that you own, that you've got title, title in this great nation, and that's worth something. Own some gold, own some watches, own some physical items, own some hard assets. And then you have some semblance of control and some semblance of decentralization. You want to get out of soft assets like money and into hard assets like I've just mentioned. You want to make sure you, you are decentralized as much as you can. Now, I'm not talking about going off-grid and growing your own vegetables and, you know, blocking signals Um, I'm on about being on as many social media platforms as possible and having a spread decentralized following. I'm on about having multiple streams of income from multiple varied asset classes. I'm on about holding minimal cash, soft asset, and maximum hard asset. These are things you can actually do if you have a personal brand. If you have multiple social media accounts with followers across all of them, then you have the ability to reach customers and clients as long as you have an internet connection, which is unlikely to get hacked and jammed. It means you can travel anywhere in the world and still earn a living and still have some influence and reach and impact and get leads and clients. If you have hard assets that are real and physical, if money is debased, if inflation goes to 15, 20, and 25%, then you are not wiped out. They cannot quantitative ease you to nothing. If you look at the value of currency over time since the removal of the gold standard in August 1971, it's gone like that. Property's gone like that. Gold has gone like that. Money has gone like that. So you need to get out of this soft asset money because that is controlled. The banks can control the money. The banks can reduce the relative value of it. They can pump more into the system. They get into more debt. They increase the taxes. They can do all of these things. And if you only have money and savings, then you are somewhat, uh, stuck. Yes, they have taken gold in previous depressions. They have. Well, good luck finding your gold, by the way, if you have gold. But gold is only one form of asset. You want multiple assets, decentralized, full ownership, hard, real physical assets, inflation-beating assets. Minimum cash, minimum money, minimum currency, maximum real asset. And then if it is a bit of a doomsday scenario with the own nothing, be happy, great reset, And if they do try and overly control you, you have control back. And some of them are a bit Orwellian and dystopian. It's vital that you learn, earn, and invest, that you don't just survive but you thrive and you protect yourself and you know how to play the system at their own game. What do you got to lose other than your freedom, other than your autonomy, other than your savings, other than your future and your pension and your retirement? So this is important. So I'd love to know what you think about the own nothing, be happy Great Reset 2030. On the one hand, do you believe that the, um, owning nothing and the sharing economy is a good thing? Do you think it's good that we share resources that are becoming scarce on this planet? And as we become more populated, maybe we're going to need to stop consuming our country, our globe, our planet. So maybe this circular economy that they're calling it Maybe there's some upsides to this, you know, Uber, Airbnb, the rental economy. But then maybe this is also a bit of a dystopian authoritarian move whereby you'll own no assets, you'll own nothing, you'll be happy, we'll wipe out the middle class, you do what you're told, you'll be controlled by AI and robotics, and there'll be this technocratic Orwellian society in the future, which is what the more— I'm going to say the word conspiracists think. I would love your thoughts. Let me know in the comments. But regardless of which extreme it is, whether you're in full control or there's a global elite that's in full control, whether the own nothing and be happy is just the rental and circular and sharing economy or the own nothing and be happy is because all ownership is taken away from you. Whichever extreme it is, you must be prepared. You must be decentralized. You must take full financial responsibility and control for your life. And you can do that by not being controlled by the banks, by not holding a huge amount of cash, by having assets that you actually do physically really own—hard assets. Do you have enough hard assets for when inflation gets really high, for when currency is debased, when taxes go up? Are you— do you have decentralized reach of your customers and your clients and your followers and your fans? Do you have decentralized control of assets? Because you actually can. You can.
