UK petrol prices jumped their biggest amount in 17 years while Shell and BP tripled profits. The speaker argues price caps aren't being passed to consumers and calls for a wealth tax on oil companies, then pitches his education platform Rob.team for building side income.

So there's some breaking news that today petrol prices saw the biggest daily jump in 17 years. Now there's quite a lot of nonsense going on with this soaring cost of living crisis, especially with fuel and energy. So here's the thing, there's supposed to be price caps. They're supposed to be cuts by the government on fuel and energy, but a lot of the firms and the stations aren't passing them on to the end user. And a lot of the energy companies are making billions of dollars and tripling their profits in this cost of living crisis. And it seems to be really bad in the fuel and the energy sector. So for example, the government announced a cut in fuel duty, except the petrol stations aren't passing them on to the end users, to the people who are filling up. Sean Paul has just said it was £130 to fill up his van today. Holy shit, you're gonna need to get a mortgage to fill up your car, even just runaround cars, are going to be £100 to fill up. Now this is madness. I'll tell you what's madness. I'm gonna have a bit of a rant here. It's madness that we have a shortage in energy, a shortage in fuel, in oil, in gas, yet Shell and BP, their profits are soaring. Their profits are tripling. They're making tens of billions when people are having to choose between heating and eating. This is completely nuts. So, um, yeah, the biggest daily jump in 17 years has happened today in fuel prices. But let's be honest, that's, um, nothing compared to how it's been rising and rising and rising and rising over the last few months. Now apparently the government were going to do a name and shame of petrol stations who weren't passing on the savings. But apparently this plan is still in the works. They haven't done it yet. So for me, it's all wrong. Now, I understand if certain raw materials have gone up significantly, um, that, that, uh, increase in prices has to be passed. But when the oil and gas companies like Shell and BP are tripling their profits year on year, making tens of billions, it's fucking wrong. Now look, I'm just going to be straight up, it doesn't really affect me. I'm not in that sort of bracket where 2 pence a litre or £30 or £40 increase in my fuel hurts me too much. But I am definitely pissed off and it's unfair because there's so many people who don't have the excess disposable income. It's going to be £2 a litre anytime soon, and it's going to cost you £100, £150 to fill up a normal car. So I'm speaking up about this because I want to fight for the ordinary person. I want to fight for the person who doesn't have much disposable income, but they want to have a better life, and they don't want to get absolutely wiped out in this cost of living crisis because no one seems to be doing anything about it. Now I said there probably should have been a wealth tax on gas and oil companies. Now I wouldn't normally, you know, campaign for wealth taxes, but a wealth tax is essentially a one-off tax when you get unusual profits. Now I'm up for you making unusual profits, I'm up for start and scale-up entrepreneurs to make good money, but when there's a crisis of fuel and energy and a massive lack of supply because of Brexit and COVID and Ukraine-Russia war, Yet the oil and gas firms are tripling their profits. That's fucking wrong. And the government are, as usual, doing nothing about it. Here's what pisses me off about the government. There's a virus which, let's be honest, looks like it wasn't very deadly, and they way overintervene and they shut everything down. Yet there's this massive cost of living crisis in food and oil and energy, and these companies making tens of billions in profits, unusual tripling of profits. And they do fucking nothing. So they either do everything wrong or they do nothing at all. Like, they locked us down, they risked our businesses and our livelihoods. Many of you couldn't see your dying husbands or wives or parents because you were legal— it would be illegal for you to go out through lockdown while they were having parties every fucking month. Now I can't blame BP and Shell and any other oil companies for making more profits. It's not their fault, that's what a company is supposed to do. But the government, oh, will do a wealth tax. They haven't. Oh, will name and shame fuel stations not passing on the savings. Oh, they haven't. What are they doing other than having parties all the time and having internal arguments and votes of confidence and no confidence? What are they fucking doing? To lead and run our country. Nothing. You will have to sell your house to fill up your car with fuel. And then if you want an electric version, I bet you charging your car's a freaking remortgage now. It's ridiculous where this shit is going, and it pisses me off. Anyway, what can we do about it? Well, look, everyone's saying, oh, you got to save money, don't drink that coffee, don't go out for that lunch, don't spend that money. That's no way to live. And by the way, most people are already spending more than they earn. Most people were already getting into more debt. People haven't got 20% and 25% disposable income off their earnings every month, which is what you need now. Do you know that 2 years ago you had about— well, let me reverse it round. Your spending power now, I believe, is 20% to 25% lower than 2 years ago, and it's the lowest it's been since the Second World War. That's outrageous. And the government are doing nothing. Nothing. They're wasting billions, by the way. Track and trace app didn't fucking work. A load of PPE equipment, oh, write that off. Where's all this— where's this billions— taxes going up and up and up, where's all the money going? Wrong! Come on, government, sort it out, do something about it. Yeah, Margaret, watch out for your heart. I don't want to have a heart attack on a live. So you can't save your way out of this, it's impossible. How can you save your way out of this? Most people are spending more than they earn or they're saving 2% or 5%. So what you need to do is you need to earn your way out of this, invest your way out of this, create extra income streams, increase your commissions, your, um, salary. You've got to start that side hustle. You cannot save your way out of this like everyone is saying. You've got to earn your way out of this. You've got to learn to earn to invest. So if you'd like, for example, to be able to start a business or that side hustle or get that extra income stream with e-commerce or membership site or anything like that. Or for example, if you would like to build multiple streams of income, you'd like to maybe get some online income, you know, earning off the internet and working from home. If you'd like to be able to do all of that stuff, which to be honest, it's the best and only way out of this crisis because saving's not going to make it, I recommend and invite you to join rob.team. So rob.team is for startup entrepreneurs scale-up entrepreneurs, people who want to, um, make extra money, side hustles, part-time, full-time, or big time. Also digital assets, online income, work-from-home income, um, also for example multiple streams of income, residual income, recurring income. So to join Rob.team to learn about all this stuff, and I'll give you some specifics in a minute, you simply open a new page and you type in rob.team. Open a new page right now, type in rob.team, and you can learn all this stuff for less than a large coffee a month, and you can cancel anytime. And so, for example, um, I can teach you how to start a side hustle or a second or a third business or an online income stream, but it's not full-time, so you don't have to work another 50 or 60 or 70 hours a week. You don't want to get into that trap. You're already working too much. You're already exchanging your time and your life for money, and that's a trap. I'm not saying about you should be doing overtime, okay? Maybe if that's the only way right now to get some money in to meet the increased cost of living. But, you know, have you got a membership site, for example, like Rob.team? Do you get sponsors and advertisers on social media? I'm actually— I've actually relaunched and added a lot of new content to Rob.team recently because so many people are struggling with this cost of living crisis. So many people don't have a good financial knowledge in education. So this is why I've kind of talked about this a bit more. I never used to talk about it. I mean, I've got about 5,000 members, but never used to talk about it. But the reason I am now is the government aren't going to help you. You have to help you. So here are just 3 new courses I've put in on rob.team, and you can join easily by opening a page and just typing in, in the browser, r-o-b dot t-e-a-m. Join. It's the cost of a large coffee. You can cancel anytime. In fact, you can go back and gobble up all the content and then cancel once you've finished it all. Christian said, I can't find it. Now this is the 7 different income streams. So you know millionaires, they have royalty income, profit income, dividend income, interest income. Zeroers only have earned income. So I've done an article talking about how to avoid the trap of earned income and get into the other 6 income streams to get multiple streams of recurring income, passive income, residual income, interest income, royalty income. I get royalties from 16 books, 8 audiobooks. You know, that makes me many hundreds of thousands of pounds a year. I get royalties from my content. So I can teach you all of that too. If you're quick, you can even join my WhatsApp group and do Q&As and join the community of thousands of other disruptive entrepreneurs who are going to push back. I'm pissed off about the government. I'm pissed off about taxes. I'm pissed off about the soaring cost of living because it could be managed better. John has said here Klaus Schwab is not going to be happy with Rob. No, he's not. No, he's not. But come on, the only way out of this is to earn and invest and manage your own money and learn how to be your own independent financial advisor. This is vital. You must learn to earn, to invest, and that's why I relaunched Rob team. So go and join now. Open a new page, type in rob.team, because today of all days, petrol prices have seen the biggest daily jump in 17 freaking years. They are now— your average small car is going to be more than £100 to fill. Some people's cars are going to be £200 to fill. And what pisses me off is Shell and BP and all these massive, um, energy companies, their profits are tripling while everybody else, their cost of living are going up 10, 15, 20%, maybe even in a year. It's wrong. It's fundamentally wrong. But you can't blame Shell or BP. You can't blame a company for making profits and a company for making more profits. You can't blame them. But the government aren't doing anything about it. They're not redistributing. They're not having these ceilings. They're just not doing anything about it. It's wrong. And that's why you should join Rob.team, so you can protect yourself. You can learn how to create multiple streams of recurring income. You can build good, um, assets and have them generate income and protect yourself from inflation, massive cost of living crisis, food, energy, fuel, raw material, commodity, everything going super high crazy. And a lot of people out there saying, oh, just don't have a coffee or don't eat lunch out, and, you know, tighten your belt and walk to work. It's not going to work. It's nowhere near going to save enough. Crazy. Anyway, let me know what you think. Why should there be energy companies whose profits are allowed to triple and none of that profits are distributed back to the consumer? Here's the thing, like Shell and BP, fair enough, make triple profits, but pass some of those savings back to the consumer. And if they don't, government step in and make them. Instead of charging us more tax, charge the companies that are making unfair profits more tax. Like corporation tax went up from 19% to 25%. National Insurance went up. Your income tax will go up. Yet oil and gas companies making outrageous profits, it's not getting distributed. And any small savings that they try and make, or any small caps, They're not passed on. It's wrong. Anyway, I will have a heart attack, so I'm going to stop ranting. Just get in and join at rob.team because, yeah, I'm ranting about it, and yeah, I'm pissed off, but I have 7 companies, millions a year in recurring income, digital income, online income, property income, rental income, and royalty income. So I made sure I did something about it. I actually did something about it before the last recession. And these recessions are going to happen every 15 fucking years, and you've got to be ready. And actually, there's great opportunity. So if you just open a new page right now, type rob.team. Come join the movement, come join the revolution. Rob.team is for people who want to start a business, scale a business, don't want the government to take all their money away.
