Prices rise at fastest rate for 40 years. Warning ⛔️

Rob Moore warns that UK inflation is hitting 40-year highs, with prices up 9-25% since before COVID. He says cutting expenses won't work, so you need a side business for extra income, move savings into assets like property and gold instead of keeping cash in the bank, and invest in financial education.

So prices are rising at the highest rate in 40 years. You have inflation, which the Bank of England have just announced is likely to go over 10%. You have general prices up apparently 9%. I'd argue prices are up way more the 9%. So in this short video, I'm going to tell you what's going on and then what you can do about it. So stay with me. So right now, what's going on is interest rates are going up. Now, they're still low, but they're going up, and you have to budget for that, you know, if you've got loans and mortgages. The next thing that's happening is raw material costs are going through the roof. Just basic raw materials. You know, if you do a building, you've got doors and windows, they can be up 50% or more. Then you've got food costs, which are way up. Food costs are as high as they've been for decades. Fuel, fuel is as high as it's been almost on record. Energy, um, gas Electric, it's all going up. VAT has gone up for some companies, um, air passenger duty has gone up, but your wages are not going up in line. The government are not reducing the taxes in line. Inflation is going up so quick that even a sharp increase in interest rates can't combat inflation. So this is the reality of what's going on. It's like normally the media cover it up. Normally real inflation prices don't include things like food and, you know, many basic subsistence costs, which of course are a huge part. But actually now they're saying inflation's probably going to go above 10%, hopefully temporarily, and all the other increased costs they can't hide. I'm going to argue, I'm going to propose that in reality your cost of living is 20 to 25% more than pre-COVID, pre-pandemic. And you need to know that. It's not me doom-mongering, that's just what I believe to be the reality. Surely it's best to know the reality, to be awake to the reality, not to hold your head in the sand so that you can be armed with the right information to do something about it. Okay, so this is the warning. This is real. This is here. Please, right now, hit the share button. We need to inform as many people as possible because people are putting their head in the sand about this. Okay, here's what you can now do about it. Hit the share button and then I'll tell you what you can do about it. So what you can do about it is— well, I'll tell you what you can't do about it. You can't save your way out of 10% inflation. You can't save your way out of 9% increase in other prices. And a lot of people say tighten your belt, make savings. You actually can't do that that easily because let's say you earn £3,000 a month Well, you've now got to earn £3,700, £3,800 a month just to have the same spending power as when you earn £3,000 a month pre-COVID. Most people don't have that disposable, you know. Most people are saving 5%, 1%, or minus 10% of their earnings. So you, you can't actually save your way out of this. Now you can cut costs, and by the way, if you'd like some help from me, I wrote a deep dive detailed article on 35 ways to save up to half your salary in costs. So lots of things that you spend on, I've helped you figure out ways to spend lower or spend differently. I found out about 30 to 35 things that you're probably spending money on, um, that you could actually reduce your savings. If you'd like a free copy of that then just write toolkit in the chat. Just right now, write toolkit in the chat, and I'm going to give you access to the 30 to 35 ways you can save up to half your salary a year in costs or expenses. By the way, that's not easy to do. It's actually easier to do some other things which I'm going to tell you about in a moment. But if you write toolkit in the chat, I'll give you free access to that. I'll also give you access to some documents on helping you to create additional income streams, monetize information, maybe social media, maybe your personal brand, etc. I've written about 5 to 6 different new documents which, um, about 30,000 people have taken me up on this so far. So join them, just write toolkit in the chat. I'll also send you for free, um, a weekly resources email where I'll give you new resources. On saving and making money in this challenging cost of living crisis, and resources that, you know, I publish on YouTube and TikTok and Facebook and Instagram that will be useful for you to start and scale your business, get better financial education. So just write 'toolkit' in the comments. Thank you for all the kind comments in the chat so far. So right now, inflation is going to bust 10%, cost of living is 9%. I just don't even think that includes inflation. I think in reality your cost of living have gone up 20 to 25% since the lockdown. This shit is real, get used to it. Right, toolkit in the chat and I'll give you some resources to help you. But now moving forward, here's what you can't do. You can't just make savings and cuts and reducing expenses. It's not enough. A lot of people are saying, oh, you've got to cut this expense and that expense and this expense and that expense. But many people who aren't very well financially are having to choose between heating and eating. I mean, my heating bill is £8,000 a year now. You know, thankfully I can afford that, but a lot of people couldn't afford that. So you're not going to save your way out of this or cut your expenses out of this. That's not going to happen. So what you need to do is, number 1, you need to start a second business, a side business, a side hustle. Here's a few reasons why. Number 1, you're going to create an extra income stream. Number 2, that side hustle, you can have a self-employed, which means you can reduce your tax. 'Cause when you're employed you can't reduce your tax, they just take it off you at source. So you earn your money and immediately they take your insurance, the National Insurance, your student loan, your pension contribution, and your income tax, and you might be left with 55% or 50%, and they just take it, and you can't reduce that. But when you're self-employed or a small business owner, you can offset expenses legitimately and you can reduce your tax. So that's 2 great reasons why you should start a side income, a side hustle, or a second business, or your own business. The first thing you should do. The second thing is you can't save your way to wealth. So what you need to do is use savings as a bridge to invest. So you've got to start investing savings and not saving savings. So at the moment I have some liquid money. It doesn't really matter how much it is, but it's, you know, high 6-stroke, low 7 figures. I've got liquid sat in the bank, I need to get rid of it. Because let's say I've got a million in the bank, well, at 10% inflation, that's £900 grand in a year. Having it in the bank is costing me £100 grand. So I'm investing in my maximum pension contributions that I can. I didn't through COVID, so I can go back, I think, 3 years. So it's £40,000 for me, £40,000 for my wife, times 3, investing in that. Probably going to buy a couple of watches that I know will go up in value. I'm probably going to buy, um, some real estate, some more real estate, a studio, a fit-for-purpose studio for all the content that I provide. Max out my ISAs. I just put, um, £20,000 in a fund yesterday. There's a couple of shares I want to invest in. Probably going to buy some gold. By the way, none of this is telling you what to do. I'm just telling you what I'm doing. Make sure you always do research and diligence before you invest. But the point is, having cash in the bank is a massive waste of money. It's going down 10, 15, 20% a year with inflation and lack of spending power. You've got to protect it from that. You've got to invest it into assets that, number one, protect the cash from inflation. Let's say you've got a $100,000 property, you put $25,000 in, you levered up the other 75% on a bank loan. That $25,000 is safe from going down $2,500 a year at the moment. You might get a $120,000 property priced at $100,000 because I think prices are softening. So you put £25,000 in, you've got a £75,000 loan, you've got £20,000-£25,000 equity, you've got your cash saved, you've got the appreciating value of 5% a year, and then you've got the income as well. So you save only as a quick bridge to then invest, and then invest in appreciating assets, invest in income-producing assets. Now I'm also investing in building my personal brand, I'm investing on building my database, my followers, my customers. So a business could be an investment. You know, let's say you do some marketing or ad spend or lead generation, then you can grow a business and grow your income streams. And when you have a business, you can offset all the taxes, whereas when you earn as an employed person, you can't offset all the taxes. Brian's also made a really good point here. If you have the money in the bank, that could get stolen. You know, you could get hacked and you could have a security issue, um, and so that money could go. And what, $80 grand is guaranteed and the rest isn't? Yes. And the government could take that anytime with a run on the bank. And with the crazy shit that's going on in the world, there could easily be a run on the banks and your money is gone. This is such a great point. This is why gold is popular right now. This is why cryptos have been popular over the last few years. So please do hit the share button. This— we must get this message out to as many people as possible. Um, it's really important right now that you get real and you know what's going on in the world. Inflation will go above 10%. The Bank of England have said it. Which means it's actually more. They're saying your cost of living is going up 9%. I'm not even sure that includes inflation. You've got material cost, food cost, oil, gas, and heating, and fuel cost, travel cost. Um, literally everything is going up. So you have to combat that, and you can't combat that by saving your way to wealth. You have to invest your way to wealth. You have to start a business, create an extra income stream, have a business or a side hustle so you can offset all the tax and expenses. Because taxes are going up as well. They're not going down. So we're getting hit in every which way. Interest rates going up, inflation going up, cost of living going up, fuel, gas, and electric and materials going up, and taxes going up. And, um, Sean Paul keeps saying interest rates are gonna go up, they can't really go down. You must prepare for this. You must get real. The way that you get real is use savings only to build a pot and then invest it. Protect it from inflation, invest in appreciating assets that also give you cash flow, and start business and create extra income streams and side hustles and commissions and more income streams. And I can teach you how to do all of that by joining rob.team, R-O-B dot T-E-A-M, right now. Open a browser, go do it. I've got to get out of here. And also, let's help as many people as possible. This really is a crisis. Um, your, um, pound for pound, how your money goes, your spending power is the lowest it's been since World War II, the end of World War II. How crazy is that? And so many people aren't getting the right knowledge. So many people are just trying to tighten their belt and save a bit more money. You can't save your way out of this. It's impossible. The prices are going up too much. You have to invest and earn and hustle and build and create and sell your way out of this. And I can help you do that at rob.team. So I'll see you at rob.team. Go open a browser. I'll see you there on the other side in the members area right now. Thanks for tuning in. There are opportunities. I know it sounds a bit scary, but this is real. You know, when you get a reset or a recession or a correction or a depression or whatever, it wipes out the old and it gives a fertile soil for the new. And that could be you, but you have to take the opportunity. You have to take the action. No one's going to come and save you. The government aren't going to save you. They're not going to reduce taxes. Your employer's not going to save you. No one's going to save you but you. And that's why you should start a business. That's why you should invest in assets. And that's why you should join Rob.team, R-O-B dot T-E-A-M, right now. Bosh. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
