Putin Facing Total Collapse of Economy

In this monologue, the speaker outlines the severe economic crisis unfolding in Russia as a result of extensive Western sanctions following the Ukraine war. He cites Fitch’s downgrade of Russian sovereign debt to junk status, a 20% key interest rate set by the Central Bank, a 30% ruble depreciation since February 24, widespread shortages of basic food items, and a projected doubling of unemployment from 5% to 10%. He argues that these internal pressures will have spill‑over effects on global energy markets, driving oil and gas prices higher and potentially triggering a larger economic shock in the UK and the US than the 1973 oil crisis. Transitioning from analysis to advice, he urges entrepreneurs to manage emotions, seek contrarian opportunities, and shift savings from bank deposits into assets that can generate recurring income. He recommends diversifying into real estate, digital assets, NFTs, cryptocurrencies, and personal‑brand content, while warning against overly risky investments. Finally, he promotes his Recurring Income Summit (ris.live) as a platform to learn how to build multiple streams of digital recurring income to survive and thrive amid the looming recession.

So Putin is facing a total collapse of the Russian economy. The Kremlin is pretty officially running out of money. The sanctions across the world, all the massive global companies pulling out their sales and their supplies into Russia, you know, money flow into Russia stopping, money flow out of Russia stopping, all of the assets being frozen. And right now is a very real threat that Putin will run out of money and and the Russian economy will collapse. Now, I'm going to update you on a few things that have just happened in the last 24 hours, and I want to actually give you a couple of ways that this— you can see this as an opportunity. So I've been saying this since the start of the war, and that is that every action has an equal and opposite reaction, and wars need billions to be financed, and these sanctions stop the flow of money to and from Russia and are starving out, um, the ability to finance a war, which he calls a special military operation. I call it a war. I don't know what you call it. Um, all of this slight of language— special military operation, fake news, misinformation. No, say it how it is. Um, and now we're seeing the reaction to the action. War has great financial costs. You know, of course there's the You know, the livelihood cost, there's the employment cost, there's the death toll, of course, but, you know, there's also the economic cost. So I think this could probably proliferate into the UK, and I'll talk to you about that in a moment as well. So Putin is facing total economic collapse. The Kremlin is running out of money. The ratings agency Fitch warned literally within the last 12 hours that Russia's on the brink of defaulting on its debts as sanctions imposed in the wake of the Ukraine war continue to batter its economy. It downgraded Russia's sovereign debt rating to a junk territory, so its debt rating is shot. The ruble has tumbled to record lows in onshore trading. And despite measures by Moscow to shore up its battered economy and safeguard the availability of hard currency, um, it looks like the economy is going to fall over in Russia. Now, don't think that that means that you're not immune, because soaring oil and gas prices are coming over to the UK. Because of a big lack of supply. And some commentators are saying that the UK is facing a bigger economic shock than the 1973 oil crisis. Now I'm going to talk to you about the opportunity and what I think that means in a moment. Stay with me. I just want to update you on the rest of the announcement that's just in, breaking news. So the Central Bank of Russia has more than doubled its key interest rate to 20%. Imagine 20% interest rates in the UK, your mortgages! Shit, this is absolutely crazy. Do not kid yourself that this is just happening in Russia. This will have at least European, if not global, consequences. I do believe that to be the case. Russian assets have been sold heavily, and the ruble is down about 30% against the dollar since just Feb 24th, so in the last couple of weeks. Russians can't buy foreign currency. Um, people who have foreign currency in their accounts are only allowed to withdraw up to $10,000. Supermarket shelves are emptying. Russians are hoarding sugar, flour, buckwheat, oil, and canned food. Milk, cheese, yogurt, sour cream are all scarce. Experts are warning that the country is threatened with a doubling of its unemployment rate from 5% to 10%. And there are warnings that Russian economy faces its gravest crisis since the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991. This is a real threat, a clear and present danger. This is the reaction to the action of war. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. The sanctions imposed upon Russia from governments, from the US, from NATO, from the UK, from the big corporations— pretty much all big corporations have stopped supply These are the, um, reactions. So let me know what you think in the comments, by the way. Um, I also know that I can only distill information to you on what I can see. I try and get a balanced view of the information that I'm informing myself with from ideally non-biased media. That's pretty hard. Um, if there's anything that you know or you believe, please share in the comments, um, because, you know, I do like to discuss with you the world, things that are going on. Now, I'm an entrepreneur. I help people start and scale their business, get better financial education and knowledge. But of course, how our economy is affected is a big impact on entrepreneurs, because what does oil and gas crises mean? Increase in prices, probably increase in taxes. You know, with what happened with, you know, we've had Brexit, COVID, Putin, and I think Brexit, COVID, Putin have meant our taxes gone up and up and up. So these things do actually affect entrepreneurs. I would also say we should all be cognizant, aware, and mindful that we don't really know what's going on. You know, I'm not Putin's right-hand man, I'm not speaking to and advising Biden in government. So whilst everyone thinks they know what's going on, you know, we can only assess the information we're given. And I believe that mainstream media is wholly imbalanced and unbiased. So just wanted to talk about the war on information, the war on counseling, the war on, you know, propaganda. All this stuff is going on in the media. Do we actually really know what's going on on the ground in Russia? That being said, do I think that— has interest rates gone up to 20% in Russia? Yes. Has, you know, the ruble gone way down in value? Yes. Um, are there sanctions and is there a money drying up, a money drought in and out of Russia? Yes, that seems pretty obvious to me. So, um, here's what we can do about it. Here are some solutions for you. Just a quick summary. By the way, please hit the share button, um, because the collapse of the economy in Russia will affect you, and it will either hurt you or it will be an opportunity. Gas and oil prices are soaring in the UK. They're soaring in America. We've not seen them this high for relatively for decades. We've not seen them this high absolutely forever. Cost of living way up, inflation way up, quantitative easing way up, taxes way up. This hits us and this hurts us. So it does affect us even if we're not on the ground in Russia and Ukraine. And yes, the media play their part in the fearmongering and the propaganda and everything else. I also agree with you there, Lisa. But there is an equal and upside opportunity because every downside has an upside. Every recession has an opportunity. More millionaires are made in a recession than any other time in history. And this is where I come into my own with you because that's my speciality. I am a multimillionaire. I became one, what, 12 years ago, something like that. I've done a good few hundred mil in revenue, and add the capital value on top of that, I've helped Tens of thousands of people starting to scale their business, get better financial education and knowledge. Don't say that to brag, that's just a fact. So because this is probably going to filter into the UK, because oil and gas prices are soaring and the UK could face its biggest economic shock for decades, what can you do about it? Number 1 is you can manage your emotions. You can stay balanced and see the opportunity and not go into the fear. Number 2 is you can see the contrarian and opposing opposite opportunity. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. Every downside has an upside. Maybe you can start a business that solves some problems that Brexit and COVID and Putin have created. You need to invest in assets. Saving money is very risky. Savings should only be a temporary bridge. Yes, of course you shouldn't spend more than you earn, so you should save, but you should save for the short term and then get it out of the bank and into an asset. Because the banks won't guarantee your money up over and above, I think, $85,000, and that will probably come down. Inflation is killing your money right now. It's probably in reality in double digits. Quantitative easing and inflation are eating your money away. So yes, you need to save, but quickly get it out of that bank and into an investment. Maybe real estate, maybe digital assets, maybe building your personal brand, maybe NFTs, etc. By the way, just a quick warning: don't invest money in risky volatile assets that you can't afford to lose. Important to say. Once you've invested in assets, you need to build multiple streams of recurring income. So if you have one stream of occurring income, you're at risk. If you have one source of income that's earned and related to a job, and unemployment goes up and you're one of them that is unemployed, um, or your company goes under because it's linked to all the stuff that's going on in the world, then you have— you just like Russia have a drought on money going in and out, you'll have a drought on money going in and out. So you need to reduce your spending, spend wisely, and save. Take that saving as quickly as you can and get it out of the bank because it's risky there. Protect it from inflation. By investing it, and you invest it into assets, ideally digital assets, that produce multiple streams of recurring income. That is how you, um, can not just survive but thrive through these difficult economic times. And then you've got to think about what information could you produce, what course content, mastermind, mentorship, membership site, what content on your personal brand could you deliver that solves the new problems in the world. So we've got problems of censorship, problems of misinformation, we've got problems of a potential economic crisis, all of these new problems. So if you create content and products and services that solve these new problems, you're going to make new money. So hopefully those solutions help. I'll do a quick summary in a moment, but before I do, please hit the share button because this is really important. And I've been commenting on these worldviews, and now I can really start linking it to how you can protect yourself. How you can create multiple streams of recurring income, how you can invest for your future, how you can not just survive but thrive in an economic downturn, how you can observe the masses and do the opposite and create contrarian opportunity. Because I did that in the last recession, and that's kind of one of my strengths. So I've got a gift for you to help you along this road, and that is the Recurring Income Summit. So I have an event called the Recurring Income Summit. I can't see anywhere to give you the link in the comments because they've moved the badge. Warning, that's probably going to filter down to perhaps a big correction in the UK economy, in the US economy. Thanks, Ian, for sharing the link there, RIS.live. I've been saying now things like COVID and lockdowns, and even before that, Brexit, etc., and the fact that we've been, what, 13, 14 years since the last crash A crash is coming. A recession is coming. A correction is coming. Do you think a crash, a recession, or a correction is coming? Let me know in the comments. We need to warn everyone about this. Exactly, what happened to COVID? Conveniently disappeared. What happened to the Gray Report, the accountability for the government and their parties? Oh, conveniently disappeared. So you need to make sure you protect yourself and not just survive but thrive in these disruptive times. Um, the next crash is probably going to be bigger than last, and you can turn it into an opportunity. So please hit the share button, warn your friends and family and other entrepreneurs about this, and let's warn them, yes, but support and teach them to create multiple streams of recurring income in this divisive and disruptive time. Quick summary: Putin is facing total economic collapse. The Kremlin is running out of money. They've had to put their interest rates from 10 to 20%. The sanctions have dried up the money flow in and out. The assets have been frozen. The oligarchs have been either sent back to Russia or their assets have been frozen internationally. There's big limits on things like how much foreign currency people can draw out of their bank account. Unemployment is set to double from 5% to 10%. Supermarket shelves are emptying. Russians are hoarding sugar and flour and wheat and oil and canned food. There's a massive shortage of milk and cheese and yogurt and sour cream and all these basic necessities. And this is real and clear and present, and it's going on right now in the world. So thanks for tuning in. Hit the share button and educate yourself. See the contrarian opportunity. Invest in digital assets. Create multiple streams of recurring income. Turn occurring income into recurring income. Dictators are scared. Mainstream media are scared.
