Simon Cowell told me this (& it shocked me) 😳

Rob Moore shares what Simon Cowell told him at a charity ball: TV talent show viewership crashed from 25 million to 1.8 million. Creators like MrBeast and Joe Rogan now own the audience. Moore made £350,000 monthly from social media and is hosting a summit on building recurring income from content.

So I was recently at Simon Cowell's charity ball. It was a pleasure to be invited, and I was talking to Simon Cowell, and, um, something that was discussed completely shocked me. And it's about media, and it's about how the power in media has completely changed. And actually, I think it's great news for you, for creators, and probably the more ordinary person, if you like. So, um, other than complimenting me on my McQueen, um, chandelier jacket— that wasn't one I'll put in my— a feather I'll put in my cap. But did you know this about Simon Cowell? Well, not really about Simon Cowell, but did you know that his, um, talent shows like Britain's Got Talent, etc., do you know they used to get about 25 million, uh, views in the UK in prime time? Do you know what that is now? Have a guess in the comments. Do you know what it's gone down to now? Because, you know, 10, 20 years ago, media was owned by a few companies. Rupert Murdoch and a couple of, you know, older white males probably owned the entire media narrative. And big shows like Simon Cowell had on TV would have tens of millions of views. Put a guess in the comments. How many views does a primetime show like Britain's Got Talent or Idol or X Factor or whatever. Do you know what they get now? And because this absolutely shocked me and made me really glad that I'd made a few strategic moves, which I'm going to share with you, the figure was £1.8 million. £1.8 million. It's gone down by what, 92, 93%? So why am I telling you this? I'm telling you this because we're in the biggest change in media ever. We've gone from globalization of media, of a few companies owning it all, to decentralization of media into social media. 10 years ago, you didn't have a look-in. You, you as a content creator might get 10 views on social media. And now the power has gone from the mainstream media to the social media to the creators, and the creators are you. And this is a very exciting time to be a creator. So did you see Squid Game? Let me know in the comments if you saw Squid Game. Well, that's obviously mainstream media on Netflix. Well, MrBeast created a replica of that, and in just over a week got more views on his YouTube replica of Squid Game than Squid Game itself. Now, Squid Game, I believe, cost, you know, probably tens of millions. MrBeast did it, it cost a couple or 3 million, but a lot less. And essentially now he's a creator. He's one of the most powerful creators in the world. Jake Paul and Logan Paul are smashing it out, having tens of millions in revenue a year and disrupting boxing and disrupting media. So why am I telling you this? Because you now have a chance to be a creator. You could be live on Facebook, live on Instagram, live on TikTok, recording your podcast live, live on Clubhouse, and you can be putting your message out to the masses. You can be turning your information and ideas into income, but you need to be online creating content, building your digital assets. Now, your digital assets are your content on social media, your followers, your Facebook Lives and Instagram Lives and TikTok Lives, and your YouTube channel. And the fact now is that you have more power. Social media channels want you because they need creators like you. Otherwise, if, for example, if no one watches my Facebook videos, then I'll just go and do, um, Instagram Lives. If no one watches those, I'll just go and do TikTok Lives. So I want you to jump on this. Let me just give you a quick, um, summary. I'm speaking to Simon Cowell at Simon Cowell's charity ball just recently. Used to get 25 million views on primetime on something like Britain's Got Talent, and it's gone down now to, I think, was it 1.8 million? That's, yeah, it was. Why am I asking you? I told you. 1.8 million, down by over 90%. Mainstream media disrupted. Globalization of power and media disrupted. Decentralization of social media and news and content and being a creator and an influencer now in the powers of you. Me, you, ordinary people. We don't have to have millions of followers already. We don't have to be a celebrity. We don't have to get naked. We don't have to go on reality TV. We don't have to be famous doing something really freaking outrageous. We can turn our content into cash flow, our information and ideas into income. And if you would love to do that too, I'm going to invite you to a special event which will teach you how to do this yourself. It's called the Recurring Income Summit. It's a special one-off 2-day live event. It's actually the last one of the year, and I will be charging for these in 2022. But as a gift and a thank you for being a supporter and a follower of mine, I have a free ticket for you to grab right now to the Recurring Income Summit. Now it's coming up in a few days, you've got to be quick. I have a limited number of tickets, but if you go to robmoore.events, the link is robmoore.events. I've got myself rather excited there, but it is more exciting time than ever to be a creator. I earned £18,500 on one YouTube video in 5 days. I'm earning about £350,000 a month on social media. Uh, now that used to be probably 90% paid ads and it used to be maybe 10% organic. Now it's probably more in the favor organic than it is paid ads, i.e., my content on social media, people finding me online and following me. So if you want to build up tens of thousands of pounds a month in recurring income from your content, You want to subscribe to the Recurring Income Summit. The link is robmoore.events. I'm just putting it up on the lives there. I've just put the link on the Instagram Live, robmoore.events. I've just put the link here on the Facebook Live, robmoore.events. Now, I didn't get naked. I wasn't a celebrity. I didn't go on mainstream TV. I didn't go on reality TV. I didn't go on I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here, or Big Brother, or Love Island. To build millions of followers. I've been grafting out content for 7 years, but get this, in 7 years I built half a million followers from graft and hustle and sweat. In the last 10 months, I've more than doubled that. So I've gone from about 500,000 followers across socials, not including my nearly million email database, to 1.1 million across all social media. So I pretty much 10x'd my following in about 1/10 of the time. So if you'd love to learn how to do that, you can go to robmoore.events. The, the link is robmoore.events. Now this is not about being an influencer. Someone has said, someone has said here, waste of time, millions of people trying to be influencers. Nah, not millions, it's nowhere near that. That's just someone's myopia. But you don't— you know, I don't think you should try and be an influencer. I actually agree with that. Don't try and be an influencer, try and be a creator. Create useful content. Build a community, find a niche, turn your passion into your profession, your income in your ideas and information into income. And this is what I'm about, not about being an influencer or a celebrity or a gimmick. So if you'd love to learn how to build recurring income and turn your content into cash flow and leverage this creator economy, then go to robmoore.events because I have a gift for you there, which is a ticket to the Recurring Income Summit. Now get this, I have the founder of Netflix that I'm interviewing. The founder of Netflix. So get that. If that wasn't all good enough, the founder of Netflix will be interviewed at the Recurring Income Summit. Now the founder of Netflix, um, started a company that now has 193 million users and makes billions in recurring income. Billions. So would that be someone good to learn from to build up recurring income? If you agree, go to robmoore.events. The link is robmoore.events. I'll put the link in the comments. Go there right now. Now, um, I can give a free ticket away for this event, one, because it's my event, um, but in 2022 when we relaunch them, we will be charging. So, um, make sure you get in now so you can grab a free ticket as a gift off of me. The link is robmoore.com— no, robmoore.events. Yeah, robmoore.events. Just put it in a browser, um, robmoore.events. It'll all pop up. Um, so quick summary, and then let me, let me, um, share with you even more benefits of being on the Recurring Income Summit. I went to Simon Cowell's charity ball a few weeks ago, had a chat with him. And did you know that Britain's Got Talent and those kind of shows that he used to do would get 25 million views prime time, and now they get 1.8? And because of that, he stopped some of them. And the reason for that is the decentralization of media and power and control, which is actually really good for you. You don't want 3 or 4 channels across the world owning 80 or 90% of the media. You want to be able to reach your ideal client. You want to be able to reach your audience, your community, your tribe. And now the power is to individual creators more than mainstream media. Ryan of Ryan's ToysReview, 27 million a year. Jake Paul, Logan Paul, YouTubers, tens of millions a year. MrBeast, 48 million a year. Joe Rogan sold his podcast, 100 million. I could go on and on and on about creators who weren't celebrities before and just leveraged media and social media in a decentralized, individual way. As a creator and an entrepreneur. And if you'd love to know how to do that— so Dawn's just joined in, Alexander's just joined in there— go to robmoore.events. I'm doing a one-off free ticket for you because next year this event will be charged because it shouldn't be free. But of course, many of you watch my lives, maybe you're across the world, you haven't had a chance yet to experience any of my events. So, um, plant-based, Natalie has got the tickets. Um, yeah, uh, not on Instagram and Facebook, so sorry, I'm just getting criticized here on my TikTok Live. All these critics who sit on the sidelines, you go, yeah, yeah, bullshit, but do nothing and sit and watch my lives, trolling me but watching my lives. Oh, you must be entertained by me. So, um, I've got the founder of Netflix at the Recurring Income Summit. Don't believe me, believe the founder of Netflix. I've also got 18 different digital assets that you can set up to build recurring income. I believe the creator economy is best leveraged when you have online assets because online assets are fast to set up. Like, you don't need 3 to 6 months like you would to buy a property, for example. In fact, most of the, the strategies we teach you at the Recurring Income Summit you can set up within 24 hours. You can set up a Patreon, you can set up a subscription platform, you can set up all your social media, you can turn on all the monetization tools. So the recurrent themes we're going to teach you at Recurring Income Summit is: has to be fast to start, has to be online, and has to cost you virtually no money. So Patreons and social media and other digital assets will cost you virtually nothing. Minting NFTs can cost you virtually nothing. So if you'd love to learn the 18 different asset classes online to build a digital real estate portfolio, to create multiple streams of recurring income from your content into cash flow, what you already know into cash flow, your information and ideas into income, you need to go to the link robmoore.events. So that's my name, Rob Moore, e-v-e-n-t-s. Go there now because I pretty much just finished. I'll do a quick summary. Please share this video out there. I need to give everyone a fair warning. If the government going to lock down again, if the government ban the unjabbed from going out and living a normal life, and you don't have online recurring income— Sarah's just got a ticket there, by the way. Um, someone has said here, never listen to financial advice from a man wearing a blazer and no tie. I would say never listen, um, for financial advice for someone who dresses to impress. I don't need to impress anyone. I don't need to wear a tie to talk to you. I could probably say the opposite. I used to dress to impress when I had no money because I was trying to impress. Now I just dress how the fuck I want. I was actually thinking of doing content on this, by the way. What do you think in the comments? Should you— should I, in my house, dress in a red tie and a white shirt and have a nice crisp jacket with a handkerchief in to do a live and try and impress you? I don't need to impress anybody. This is how I dress. In fact, I slept in this. 'And all right, this is a £1,000 jacket, but I fucking slept in this. I don't need to impress anyone.' I would argue the opposite. If you're dressing up in clothes you wouldn't normally wear to pretend to be someone you're not, I wouldn't listen to financial advice from that person. I'd listen to financial advice from someone who is comfortable wearing what they want and who they are. Gary Vee's worth, what, hundreds of millions? He's got the worst fashion sense ever, and that's coming from me. So I'd actually disagree with that. But look, anyway, I'm going on tangents. I do like to engage in my community, as you can see. A few people there think I look all right. Don't give a fuck. What's going on? Simon Cowell's mainstream media used to get tens of millions of views. So Britain's Got Talent and X Factor and all that. I was at Simon Cowell's charity ball and talking to him, um, and Simon Cowell used to get 25 million views on all of his social media. Now, sorry, on all of his mainstream media channels. Now it's 1.8 million or 1.5 million. You know, mainstream breakfast shows in the UK get hundreds of thousands of views now instead of tens of millions. So the point is, you need to be on social media. There is a massive decentralization of media and power and control. It used to be global from Rupert Murdoch and a couple of other, you know, old white men who owned all the media. Now it's been completely disrupted and broken apart. And now you can be a creator. You can create multiple streams of revenue from your content into cash flow, your ideas into income. And I'm running an event to help you called the Recurring Income Summit. Now I'm currently live on TikTok and on Instagram and on Facebook. So anyone who says, oh, you've only got X number of viewers on TikTok, I'm also live on Instagram, I'm also live on Facebook. Then they go on to my main channels, then they get more reach. I've had quite a few videos with 100,000, 300,000, even a million views recently on, um, Facebook. I have 100 and nearly 120,000 followers on TikTok, 130,000 on Instagram, 160,000 on Facebook. I've got 112,000 on YouTube, and I'm not famous, and I didn't get naked, and I didn't go on Love Island, and I didn't go on I'm a Celebrity. I just create content. That's all I do. So if you would like to learn how to make tens or hundreds of thousands in revenue from social media, from digital assets, recurring income from your content, go to the link robmoore.events. R-O-B-M-O-O-R-E dot E-V-E-N-T-S. A link will be at the top on the Facebook page. I'll put the link a couple of times there on Instagram. Let me do it one more time. I'm going to finish up now, so get to the link robmoore.events. If I said robmoore.com, that's wrong. It's robmoore.events. Robmoore.events for the Recurring Income Summit, last one of 2021. This will be a charged event in 2020— uh, sorry, 2022. Yeah, it's, um, in about 6 days' time. Someone's put the dates on my Facebook Live there. Um, all right, cheers everyone, thanks for tuning in on the Facebook Live. The link is in the comments.
