Tax Cut U-Turn Scandal 🤬

Rob Moore defends the UK tax cuts under Liz Truss as growth stimulus, not scandal. He blames lockdowns for crippling the economy and accuses the IMF and Bank of England of abandoning their mandates to pressure the government over the pound's strength.

Tax cut U-turn is a scandal. I think it's scandalous on many levels that there's been a U-turn on the UK tax cut of the 45p tax bracket. Um, the reason I think this is a scandal is, number one, the UK government had a plan. The plan was to reduce taxes, to incentivise growth, and to have better living standards for all. This to me is a pretty solid plan. As someone who has criticised previous leadership, I thought it was a solid plan to incentivise growth, because how else are you going to get out of a recession or a depression and all the shenanigans that have happened since March 2020. So seemed like a solid plan. And many people are saying that it's a scandal that the higher earners were getting a tax cut. I don't think that's the scandal. I don't agree with that, actually. And you know, your comments I will review and discuss in the comments. We all have our say, and I will listen to you, but I'm also entitled to my own opinion. And I don't think it's a scandal that they were reducing the tax for the higher earners, because they were reducing the tax for the lower earners. They were increasing the threshold for no stamp duty, and they were removing things like National Insurance and basically more NHS tax. So they were actually giving tax cuts for everyone, not just the rich. This was completely taken out of context, and Labour used it as a propaganda machine and actually got it wrong. It wasn't just a 1%, you know, tax cut, it was a tax cut for all. And now what they've done is taken the real only tax break for the higher earners. Now, before you all jump on me, saying, well, a rich person would say that. This is not my point. So what I think is a massive scandal is the fact that the IMF, who usually say nothing, came out and criticized the UK government, accusing them of putting pressure on upward prices, accusing them of wealth inequality. Well, the IMF are supposed to create global economic stability, Go and Google, "What do the IMF do?" They are supposed to create global economic stability and growth. And we have had the absolute opposite of that for like 3 years. In fact, since 1971, when money came off the gold standard. So the IMF are not doing their job. Look at their job description. Create economic growth and stability for the 120 member countries, or however many they are. 90, 120, who's fucking counting? They're not doing their job. It's not Liz Truss's fault. It's not the UK Chancellor's fault that over these last 3 years especially, the economy has gone completely to shit. And by the way, you can't just say, oh yeah, but there was a pandemic. No, because there was lockdown 2 and lockdown soft 3, which were outrageous. You know, I didn't start a war, yet we're all paying for it. Inflation's gone through the roof. Taxation has gone through the roof. And finally, the UK government they do something to give back to the people. So Ian has said it wasn't a solid plan, the poor always hit hardest. Ian, that's just rhetoric, mate. It's not necessarily true. Now look, I'm not saying that the poor got an easy ride. No one got an easy ride. But running a business when the country is locked down, you know, the successful and the wealthy and the entrepreneurs and the creators and the employers Got hit just as hard as everybody else. So this whole thing, like, yeah. So Liz Truss has come in, and Ian, there's something we agree with here. Liz Truss has come in and she's immediately supported the poor by this energy cap guarantee. And then she's got massive criticism because of the £60 billion she's going to need to borrow to fund that for 6 months. But that was for the people, Ian, and everyone. That was for the people. The tax cuts were for the people. And the leadership before, and the IMF and the Bank of England, what have they done for the people? What have the IMF done for the people since lockdown? They sit back and say nothing, and then finally they come out and basically criticise and put pressure on the UK government when the UK government are finally giving back to the people. It's outrageous because all they care about is the strength of the pound. Oh, but the pound will be weak. Oh, Bank of England, the pound will be weak. Oh, we can't get our money. It's fucking outrageous. They don't give a fuck. The IMF don't give a fuck about the people of the UK. The Bank of England don't give a fuck about the people of the UK. But I actually thought the plan showed that they gave a fuck about the people of the UK because they reduced a few taxes, they increased a few caps, and I thought it was sound and solid, or at the very least it was for the people because you have been fucked over time after time after time after time in the last nearly 3 years. Your business got shut down, your earning capacity got shut down, your tax went up and up and up, your cost of living went through the roof, your cost of energy and food and fuel and everything else went up through the roof. And finally the UK do something. There's a bit of a support. And give back and reduce a little bit of your costs and encourage growth and have a clear vision. I think it's a clear vision for growth. It's fucking obvious. Is it not fucking obvious that how you grow the economy is you incentivize things that grow the economy? And how you stop the economy growing is stopping production and creation and output and innovation an industry, which is what the lockdown did, which is what the— the taxes are so high now it stops production or reduces production because there's no incentive for the producers and the creators and the entrepreneurs. It's obvious if you keep putting the taxes up, people will leave and production will slow down. If you reduce taxes and increase incentives and rewards You will create more employment, you will create more production, you will create more innovation, you will attract more overseas investment for these new businesses and ideas that are given support to grow and to start. So it's, it's not a shambles and it's not a scandal that the UK government wanted to drop a bit of tax for the higher earners because they dropped tax for everyone else as well. It's a bloody scandal that the Bank of England— by the way, who controls interest rates? Not Liz Truss, not the UK government, not the Chancellor— the Bank of England. So Liz Truss and our Chancellor have been in, what, 10 weeks, and they're getting the blame for everything. The Bank of England have had 12 years to reduce interest rates, to control inflation, to control the soaring cost of living crisis. They've had 12 years and they've done fucking nothing, and now inflation is out of control and prices are out of control and costs are out of control. Oh, but it's the UK government's fault for a tiny little tax break. Fucking hell, people need to speak out. So everyone's focusing in the wrong place. The scandal is not from what the UK government did. It is not their tax cuts, it is the Bank of England, it is the IMF, and it is the outrageous pressure from everyone on the huge criticism on the UK government for finally giving back to the people and finally creating something that might help us grow out of this. They're my thoughts. I'd love yours, so by all means do share in the comments. Let me know what you think. I agree, Ian, they're damned if they do and they're damned if they don't. And look, I have been critical. Lockdown 1, I could kind of think I understand, but lockdown 2 and soft lockdown 3, outrageous, criminal in fact, to stop the growth of this country, to stop employment, to stop production. I was critical of that, but now I think it's important to speak out when I think the UK government have been treated unfairly from people in their ivory tower who, you know, let's be honest, the Bank of England is a corporation, the IMF is a corporation, and what have they done to help the UK and our economy here since March 2020? What have they done? Nothing. And now they're coming out, massive pressure, even pressure for Liz Truss to resign. She's only been here 10 fucking weeks. Wrong. It's wrong. And by the way, trickle-down economics is not bullshit. It's not bullshit. People, they have to say things like that, don't they? But who owns the companies? And I'm not talking about the big corporations, I'm talking about the 5 and 6 million small businesses that fund most of the public sector. Who employs all those people? Who creates all those jobs? It's not the politicians, it's not the government, but it's also not the broke. Anyway, thanks for tuning in. They're my thoughts. Yes, someone's saying they want to call me. Some people are saying they want to chat. Look, um, I'm actually going to do some one-to-one mentoring calls next week. I've decided to do more of my foundation and charity work. I have the Rob Moore Foundation. I've had it many years, um, and I do my work behind the scenes quietly, but I've decided to do my work, um, live and loud now. So I'm giving back every week. I'm going to be giving back, whether it's donations. I'm giving away £15,000, um, from the Rob Moore Foundation in a few weeks' time. I'm also giving away one-to-one mentoring calls. I'm blocking out a day next week and then we're going to do one-to-one mentoring calls, support calls for any of you if you'd like to take me up on it. And to gain access to these benefits and bonuses, it will cost you nothing. All you need to do is go and join my brand new Telegram group, which is in the comments now. You can come and watch some behind-the-scenes live interviews on my podcast. You can have VIP access to, um, a private dinner with me and my millionaire mentors. Just click the link. If the link doesn't work for you, you can just go to the App Store and download the Telegram app, and then you can search Disruptors Group. Download the Telegram app, search the Disruptors Group Um, yeah, so what do you think, by the way? I think all this stick that the UK government have received is over the top. I think it's hypocritical. Um, where were the IMF in the last 2 and a half years? Where were the Bank of England in the last 12 years? Where were they when we actually needed them? Why are they not thinking about the people? Of course Labour were gonna— you know, I saw their Labour headlines. Um, tax cuts for the 1%. That's the biggest load of propaganda horseshit I've seen, because there were multiple tax cuts, multiple cap, um, supports like the energy cap. Like, you know that the $60 billion to support the energy cap raise, well, that's not— that doesn't benefit the rich because the rich can afford it. It benefits the poor. So people get this shit wrong because the standard rhetoric is, oh, the poor are the vulnerable. No, no, the people are the vulnerable. It's the people that are getting screwed, whether you're poor or rich. It's the people. Doesn't judge how rich you are. So anyway, let me know what you think in the comments. Let me just share the brand new Telegram group. If you'd like to get one-to-one calls with me, I'm going to be doing them next week. Get a chance to get one of them. If you'd like to have a chance to win a donation of £15,000 from the Rob Moore Foundation and loads of other weekly benefits and giveaways and access, I might do Costa, Audible, and Amazon vouchers. I might meet you for lunch or dinner sometime somewhere. I'm paying. So all of this stuff I'm going to do in my new Telegram group. So I've pinned the link, there you go. So go and do that now. If the Telegram link doesn't work for you or you haven't yet downloaded the Telegram app, all you do is go on to the App Store, you type in Telegram— it's a great app, by the way— and then you download the app, and then you search Disruptors. Group. I will see you in the group right now. Thanks for tuning in. Let me know what you think of the tax cut U-turn scandal. I've shared my thoughts, probably not that popular, um, but I think often you've got to observe the masses and do the opposite. And I really think the, um, the IMF and the Bank of England should have done more and should be more supportive and less critical. Um, yeah, and let's be honest as well, right? Let's look at it from this point of view. Um, loads of criticism for the energy cap support that's going to be £60 billion in 6 months. Loads of criticism for the tax cuts which are going to cost— I don't know what it was, was it £90 billion, was it over £100 billion? Anyways, add these two up and in the next 6 to 12 months you're £150-200 billion in borrowing that the the country's got to go and get. But we're £2.2 trillion in debt, and Liz Truss didn't put us £2.2 trillion in debt. We've been building trillions of debt long before this. And by the way, the lockdown, the track and trace app, the, the toxic, um, bounce back loans, the PPE write-offs, they were way more billions than currently Liz Truss has pledged with the tax breaks and the energy caps, and the tax breaks and the energy caps are for the people. Stand up, speak out, hit the share button, and let me know your thoughts below, cuz it's a freaking scandal what's going on right now.
