Tax the Rich More

Rob Moore argues the UK's wealthy already pay their share of taxes, and the real problem is government waste. He distinguishes between the rich (small-business owners) and the super-rich (billionaires), proposing lower taxes for the former and higher rates for the latter. Moore offers two solutions: earn more money or use legal tax strategies through entrepreneurship.

Tax the rich more, they say. Oh, that's the solution, just tax the rich even more, even though they're already paying most of what they earn and most of what they spend in tax. However, I think my response to this might surprise you, but first, some stats. Someone who earns £150 grand pays over £53,000 in tax. Someone who earns £25,000 pays barely over £2,500 in tax. So all those lefties, socialist benefit receivers who are saying tax the rich more, well, on £25,000 you're essentially paying 10% of your money in tax. So you're paying a lower percentage and you're only paying £2,500. £150,000, you're paying £53,000, which is more than a third. So the rich are already taxed more. Next stat, and then I'll tell you my surprising response to this, just because if you know me, you probably don't think I'm going to say what I'm going to say. So the top 1% generate 40% of the tax revenue, and the top 10% generate 70% of the tax revenue. So let's just be frank right here, right now. The problem is not the rich not paying enough tax. The problem— actually, the problem isn't poorer people not paying enough tax either. Because they don't pay much tax anyway. The problem is how the tax money is being used, how it's being spent, how it's being wasted, how it's being pilfered, and where it's going. Now, would you trust with a trillion of our tax money our government to invest it well, or someone like Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos or Richard Branson? To invest it well. Because I personally— let me know what you think— but I personally would trust an entrepreneur who's made billions. I would trust them to deploy and invest a trillion of the nation's tax money. I'd trust them much more than the government. The rich would invest it in assets, build infrastructure, bring over companies, employment, bring back the billionaires. They would incentivise other entrepreneurs. They would probably reduce taxes. They would probably increase subsidies. They would probably be able to increase the economy to generate more tax revenue by increased economy, not by just taking more off of us. Okay, now here's the thing that might surprise you about my answer to whether we should tax the rich more. I don't think we should tax the rich more, but I do think we should tax the super-rich more. More. And I think there's a big difference. So the rich are probably— in the UK, if you earn £100 grand, you're rich, apparently. Even though if you earn £150 grand, you're paying way more than a third of that in tax. So actually, the middle class, the working upper working class, the small business owners, you know, who generate most of the economy, Small business generates 55% of all the national economy. They should be taxed less, much less, because they're the ones that start the businesses, take the risk, employ the people, generate most of the revenue, pay for all the politicians and the civil servants. So they should be given breaks, relief, subsidies, and supports. They're doing this in Dubai, by the way. You're a creator, they want you to come over, they'll set up a studio for you, they'll give you a golden visa. Why aren't we doing this in the UK? So the middle, median rich, which isn't that rich, needs to be taxed way less. The super fucking rich need to be taxed more, but not too much. So at the moment, many millionaires and billionaires are leaving the UK. In 2020, it was 2,500, then it kept doubling and doubling. And then it'll be in total about 20,000 by the end of 2025. And UBS have predicted by 2028 it will be half a million millionaires left the UK. If that happens, the UK is even more fucked than it already is. I'm having daily conversations with people who hate the UK, who've lived here forever, who are patriotic. They want to leave, they want to go to Dubai. It's a nightmare. And what we've done is we've exiled the billionaires, exiled the Russian billionaires, the Chinese billionaires, We've exiled our own homegrown UK British billionaires. They've all moved to Monaco or Dubai or wherever else. And yes, these corporations have figured out a way around to pay no corporation tax. That needs to be stopped. So here's what we need to do, and surely this is just common sense. So the middle, median, average rich, upper working class rich— tax them a lot less, get them to start businesses, employ people, fire up that big engine of the economy that generates most of the revenue. Then we need to go to all the billionaires in here and who've left and say, look, come back, we'll give you this subsidy, we'll give you this support. You've got to pay some corp tax though. Don't take the piss. Don't pay zero, don't pay 4, it's currently 25. I'll do you a deal, you can pay 10. Come back and do a fucking deal. Like, that's what Donald Trump did when he went in, in power, um, his last term. He pulled in Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos and he did a deal with them all. That's what entrepreneurialism is. Would you rather they paid 10% instead of 25% or nothing and left? Do them a deal! Anyway, beggars believe all of this. So they're my thoughts. Number 1, if the rich already pay loads in tax, let's not make enemies of the rich and exile them. Let's bring them all back, let's make them pay some corp tax but do them a deal. Because they're bringing in trillions in revenue in this country and they're creating tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of jobs. And then all of a sudden the economy goes like that, and then you don't have to thieve it all off of us in tax. Hallelujah, praise the Lord! But of course, you know, I wanted to reserve my judgment on Labour, you know, because I didn't think that the economy could have been any more damaged by the previous Conservative Party. And I thought, I'll let them I won't judge them that they hate the rich and that they hate private schools and that they hate success. I'll watch. But unfortunately, they've proven me right. They're taxing private schools into going bust and out of business. They're taxing entrepreneurs. They're taxing farmers. It's just outrageous. They're taxing landlords. They're taxing everyone. Oh, and ultimately, therefore, they're taxing the working class, which they say they're not. So look, I can rant and moan about this, and we should, by the way. I think you should share this and get this message out to as many people as possible. I will keep ranting about it, but I commit to giving you a solution at the end of every video. And so the solution on whether we tax the rich more is, well, you to become rich, really. Because yes, the tax is unfair on the rich. It's probably not unfair on the super-rich. But at the end of the day, at least if you make a load of money, then you can either one, just lump the tax and afford it, not like it, but you can afford it. Because a lot of people say to me, oh Rob, you should be grateful in paying all these millions a year in tax. No, but at least I can afford it. So, but you know, I've worked hard for 20 years as an entrepreneur and done a quarter of a billion in sales and, you know, got some good network of advisors and experts around me. So you can make more. The second solution is you work your tax bill down. And there's only one way to do this, but it's a legitimate way. It's not a scheme or a scam or, you know, people say, "Oh, about trusts, offshore trusts. Legally you don't have to pay tax." And they say all these things and I'm like, most of that stuff doesn't work. But actually just having your own business, starting up, being an entrepreneur, having even just a side hustle, Then what you do is you work off expenses and you can get your tax bill down with, there's still some decent tax breaks out there, hallelujah, praise the Lord. So if you'd like to get your income up and your tax bill down and beat the government and the banks at its own game and win, you need to join me at the Moneymaker Summit Live. Now you're going to need to be quick on this because the dates are coming quite soon. We're almost full on the first date, we're very, 2/3 plus full on the second date. Second date's got a few more people, it's in central London. The first date is just outside. And the event's called the Moneymaker Summit Live, and it helps you start and scale a business, make, manage, and multiply money, make more money so that tax isn't a problem, and importantly, it helps you get your tax bill down because I've got a couple of great accountants who've helped me save tens of millions in taxes legitimately. Through capital allowances and what you can offset and knowing the rules better than anyone else. And yeah, they've closed some tax breaks, but there are also still many there. So if you'd like to learn all this stuff, it's at the Moneymaker Summit Live. And get this, because I'm celebrating 20 years of being an entrepreneur, for this video only, I'm going to give 20 places, I'm going to subsidise 20 of you to join me at the Moneymaker Summit. So the link is robmoore.live/money. That's robmoore.live/money. So, um, a race for the first 20, you get a ticket subsidized by me. I'll pay for all the multimillionaire speakers, I'll pay for the venue, I'll pay for the AV, I'll pay for everything. You just have to get there. Um, so go do that right now. Some of my videos still get hundreds of thousands of views even though Facebook have got me on a current, um, ban, which I'm hoping to lift soon. Um, however, um, I recommend actually the best ticket option is the VIP upgrades. For a small amount of money, like not even three figures, um, you can meet the entrepreneurs who've been going 20 years each. There's 6 of them. We've probably got 100 years experience between us. I've got a billionaire keynote speaker at one of the two dates. The dates, the locations, the details, the keynote speeches, the content, the logistics, what you're going to learn is all on the page robmoore.live/money. First 20 of you who register, put your personal mobile number in and confirm— your place has to be confirmed by one of my team— I'm going to pay for your ticket and subsidize it. Everyone else do the VIP upgrade. In fact, I'd recommend you jump to the VIP upgrade anyway because you could have dinner with me and the other successful entrepreneurs. There's 2 money mindset bonus sessions with, you know, multi-7 and 8-figure business owners on each morning. There's evening Q&A panel sessions. There's a 15-hour how to raise money masterclass that you can get with the VIP upgraded ticket. Just because people often say to me, well, Money's difficult at the moment, Rob, and I can give that away as a bonus with the VIP ticket because it's online and I recorded it online for leverage. So all of this is at robmoore.live/money. And let me ask you this: are you the person that keeps waiting for the next opportunity and it's never quite right? Or are you the person that takes opportunities and goes for it? Because right now I'm not seeing that many good things happening in the UK. I'm seeing a lot of increased taxes, seeing a lot of anger, seeing a lot of people leave, and really there's two solutions. One, get your income up so much the tax doesn't hurt. Two, get your tax bill down by getting good accountants, getting good information, getting a good network. And we've got a massive tax saving section at the Moneymaker Summit, and we've got three full days of how to make the best, leanest, fastest lowest cost, highest speed income strategies for 2025, and it's all at robmoore.live/money. Let's stop taxing the middle rich. Let's tax a bit more of the super rich. Let's stop making an enemy of the rich and let's help you get rich. It's all at the Moneymaker Summit, robmoore.live/money. And remember this: if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
