Taxi Drivers Banned from Taking Cash

In this 30‑minute YouTube rant, Rob Moore claims that London taxi drivers are forced to accept card payments, are charged a 5 % fee on every digital transaction, and can lose their licence for displaying cash‑payment signs. He argues that banks and policymakers are pushing a cashless society to capture the massive 5 % fee revenue they miss on the roughly $110 trillion of cash that circulates about 150 times a year – a quadrillion‑plus cash exchanges annually. Moore links this motive to broader UK economic concerns, warning that the new Labour government will raise taxes (including capital gains, VAT on school fees, and targeting landlords) and that the country is heading for a financial decline. He advises listeners to keep money out of banks, start side‑hustles or businesses, reduce tax liabilities, and invest in decentralized assets such as gold, silver, real estate, and crypto. Throughout, he promotes his paid educational platform, Rob.team, describing its low‑cost subscription, extensive courses, and bonuses, urging viewers to join as a means of achieving financial independence and resisting the cashless push.

Taxi drivers banned from taking cash. This was a shocker. So I learned this recently. Weirdly, when I jump into taxis in London, I would say probably half of them recognize me. I guess they listen to my podcast while they're driving around. You're the guy that rants about the government and the money system. Yeah, bro. And, um, so I often get talking to the taxi drivers, and there was two shocking things I learned from them recently. Um, so the banning bit I'll tell you about in a moment, but this is a shocker. Taxi drivers are charged 5% for every transaction, every digital transaction. 5%! Now, when you talk about how much transaction fees there are you know, when you tap your phone or anything digitally, you know, that you do lazily without thinking what the fees are and what the consequences of that are. You just tap, tap, tap. Everyone says to me, 'Oh no, it's only 2%. Oh, it's 3%. Now it's 5%. Taxi drivers are charged 5% for every transaction.' Bearing in mind many businesses struggle to make 10% net profit, That's half their profit in transaction fees. Bit of a shocker, really. And then the penny dropped about a cashless society and the real reason for a cashless society. Eureka! Hallelujah! Forget conspiracy theories, forget control, surveillance, all of this stopping you leaving your house, moving through borders. Forget all of that. The penny dropped as to why they want a cashless society. I'll tell you that in a moment. But the second shocker— I was talking to this taxi driver. He's got a sign up which says, you know, I'd like you to pay in cash. And he says, whoever manages the taxis in London, you know, the regulatory body, whatever they're called, they ban taxi drivers from taking cash. They're not allowed to put these signs up. Which say we would rather you pay in cash. They have to take card payments, and if they put the sign up, they can be banned and have their license revoked for taking cash. You know, money. You know, real money. You know, before there was digital money, there was cash money. And taxi drivers are losing their license in London if they ask for cash payments. For me, that's a massive scandal, huge scandal. Now, I know some people could say, "Ah well, you know, security," or maybe the taxi drivers might pocket a bit and therefore not pay for the license. But at the end of the day, they'll just charge their license whatever they want to charge, and it is a legitimate way to make and pay money, cash, you know, cash, and I can't see any good in that. Any good whatsoever. Shocking. Where else are they going to ban businesses taking cash? I mean, the banks won't take any cash now. You know, I tried to put money into crypto recently. They'll let me put a grand a day in, but a maximum of 5 grand in 30 days. So they won't let me pay in crypto, and I'm talking that way, you know, massive banks here. They won't let you put any money into crypto. They won't let you take any cash in. They won't let you take any cash out. Like, they're supposed to be guardians of our money. It's supposed to be convenient. Banks are supposed to be convenient, except you can't put cash in, you can't take cash out, and you can't put money into crypto now. What the fuck is going on? Anyway, so I would say about a year ago, the penny finally dropped for me. So I was doing some maths on this. There's $110 trillion-ish of cash floating in the global economy. The average note is exchanged 150 times. I did the maths. It's more than a quadrillion of cash exchange per year. And that's a quadrillion of money exchange that the bank can't charge anything on. The bank can't get their 5% of a quadrillion of cash flowing around the economy. Of course there's the drug money, of course there's the tax evasion. They probably want to get rid of all of that as well. But 5% of a quadrillion will immediately pump into the banks' coffers when they remove cash from society. Ah, now we find the real reason. Because, look, I think there's a lot of shenanigans going on in the world, a lot of things that are wrong, but sometimes conspiracy theories They just send you down a rabbit hole. Follow the fucking money. When you follow the money, then you find the truth. And, you know, everyone I talk to now, they're either leaving the UK, they're done with the UK. I just interviewed Elon Musk's dad, Errol Musk. Just interviewed him. He said the UK is fucked and ruined. He can't believe what it's become. I've got a guest on my podcast next week who's a multimillionaire, hundred-millionaire. He's selling everything and he's leaving the UK. Everyone's fucking leaving! James has said here the UK has gone to shit. And now Labour are in! And like 5 different taxes are probably gonna go up. VAT on school fees. Now I know the middle, the working and middle class don't really care, but they should. But they should definitely care about increasing capital gains tax. Oh, you know what? Sorry to be the purveyor of this kind of what feels like bad news after bad news after bad news. But like, I think the way that you become successful and wealthy is to find out how the world works, what's really going on, find out the ulterior motives and where the money flows to, and then play the banks at their own game and win. So quick summary is that the real reason the banks want a cashless society is for their 5% of more than a quadrillion floating around the economy in cash, I believe. Yeah, alright, they might get some drug money. Yeah, alright, they might get some tax money. But you know, people will always evolve and adapt in those areas anyway. So I reckon that's the real reason. Taxi drivers charge 5%. So here's the thing: every time you tap your phone, think, "Oh, I am complicit in a cashless society." Tap your phone, "I am complicit in a cashless society." 'Cause how do you not know as soon as cash is gone they might go, 'Oh, we're gonna charge 10% now.' I mean, it's gone up from 1 to 2 to 3 to 5. And when there's no cash and there's no alternative money supply, they can charge you 10% or 20% of every transaction and you can do nothing about it. Nothing at all. And you might say to me, 'Oh, Rob Moore, that'll never happen.' Well, VAT, 20% sales tax added on just like that, 20%. So, you know, you are complicit unless you change where you spend your money habits. So I've talked to lots of really successful people about this, knowledgeable people, and they say you can go and riot, you can go and protest, you can even peaceful protest, probably nothing will change. But if you stop spending your money with the corporations that are controlling the world, cancel your BBC TV licence, cancel all these subscriptions, don't go and pay these big corporations with your phone when you can go and pay a local business, a small business, with cash? If we all did that, if everyone cancelled their BBC TV licence, if everyone went to independents and not massive corporations, over fucking night everything would change. Everything would change. So look, if you agree with me on this, hit the share button and make sure you get the message out to as many people as possible. Now, you might want some solutions because you might be pissed off with all the shit that's going on in the world. Oh, and by the way, it's going to get worse. I'm not a doom monger, I'm a pretty positive guy. I love life. Just getting high on their weed, you know, loving it. Loving life, better rung. However, this shit is going to get worse before it gets better. Way worse. So here's what you need to do. Number 1, make sure you don't have too much money in the bank. Get your money out of savings. Savings are degradings. Savings is a loan to the bank with a very low interest rate. You want to be an owner, not a loaner. Money in the bank is not a public service. It is not safe. It is not secure. You're loaning it to the bank with— you think there's collateral, but there might not be, and you get shit-all interest. So get your money out of the banks where you can. Of course, you need some direct debit and mortgage payments. So number 1. Number 2 is you must start your own business. You must have a side hustle or some kind of business where you can get your tax bill down because there's tax breaks in owning and running your own company, even if it's just a little part-time business. Because if you don't start getting your tax bill down now, it's going to get worse and worse and worse and worse under Labour. What a lot of people think is, "Oh, this is good because the rich are going to get taxed. Fuck the rich." Oh no, no, everyone's going to get fucked. Everyone. Not just the rich. Everyone. So number 1, keep your most of your money out of the banks. Number 2, start your own side hustle or business. Number 3, work on getting your tax bill down. Number 4, invest in decentralized assets that you can control. You can control gold, you can control silver, you can control, control Rolex Daytonas, you can control to a certain degree your own business, you can control in the UK your own real estate portfolio, you can control all that. And that's what you want to be investing— assets that produce recurring and passive income. So there's a few tips on the things that you can do, practical solutions, because the UK is going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Now look, if you don't know how to invest, don't know how to start your own business, haven't got your own business, you haven't got multiple streams of income, you don't know how to get your tax bill down, if you want to learn all this stuff, I recommend you join Rob.team. James has said Rob.team is helping my life. Really appreciate it. Jane has said, I'm in @rob.team. Let me know if you're in @rob.team, I'll shout you out. Labour are coming for you. I naively thought, well, it couldn't get worse with the Conservatives. It can get worse and it is getting worse. And you know what? It's unfair. A lot of people, when I do posts, they're like, Rob, it's just not fair. You know, Oasis tickets, not fair! House prices, not fair! I kind of agree. I think the Oasis tickets are too high, it's not fair what Ticketmaster did. I think the house prices are too high, even though I own 345 of them, I do think they're too high for the average person. It's not fair, but you can moan about it for fucking 100 years! Nothing will change. Do you think Keir Starmer and Labour, do you think any of them give a fuck? That you don't think it's fair? Unfortunately not. Life is not fair. You get what you work for. You get what you figure out. You get what you negotiate. You get what you know that others don't. This is the reality of life. So if you want to learn how to be an entrepreneur, an investor, a multimillionaire maybe one day like I am, I became a multimillionaire before age 31, a deca-millionaire before age 35. If you want to take personal responsibility, the more you learn, the more you earn, be an owner, not a loaner to the bank, you need to join Rob.team. Now I've got some nice benefits and bonuses for joining Rob.team. Number 1, if you're a parent, you can give your kids, as long as they're 18 or under, the logins, and so kids will always go free. Because I'm on a mission to help as many people on this planet get better financial knowledge. That's bonus number 1. I did a 12-hour No, 12-module, 18-hour Money Mastermind University. If I had the school curriculum, this is what I would teach about money. How the banks work, how the system works, how money works, and how you can play the banks at their own game and win. Of course, no university is ever going to let me teach that, so I built my own university, rob.team. That will actually be a £700 course, but until I've finished the thumbnails and just made it look pretty, it's in rob.team right now as a special bonus. Also, I've only just negotiated a deal, but I've got an e-commerce masterclass coming up, probably 10 modules on launching your own business online. And get this, I've got a beginner and an advanced tax-saving masterclass series coming up in rob.team. So there's a whole load of stuff there for less than what I paid today for my coffee, for less than 20 pence a day. So what are you waiting for? The link is tiny.cc/rob.team. Just type in rob.team. Rob.team. That's all you have to sign in, type in. You don't even have to type www. or anything like that. Rob.team. Okay, so yeah, some people are saying that Labour are coming for landlords as well. Basically, if you've got money. I saw Keir Starmer said Oh, you know, those that have been successful have got to shoulder the responsibility. He's coming for the landlords and he's coming for the rich and he's coming for the entrepreneurs. That's what he's saying. That's just because then that makes him popular with all the working-class people. But unfortunately, while he's going for the rich, he'll also go for the working class. Just won't tell you. He's going for everyone. Now, part of it isn't his fault because he inherited a massive national debt and the country was completely fucked up. Already. Police fucked. NHS fucked. Like hundreds of billions fucked. Um, obviously all this stuff with social media and free speech is doomed. The economy fucked. Um, but he's coming in and straight away it's just more tax, more tax, more tax, more tax. The guy clearly doesn't know how to run an economy properly, um, because he If you want an economy to grow, you can't take all the money out of it. And if you just keep taking taxes out of the economy, the economy shrinks, it doesn't grow. Oh, and then all the big contributors of the economy, you know, the billionaires, if you send them all to other countries because taxes are too high here in the UK, all that's just going to do is restrict the economy even more. Just for popularity, just so that the working class will say, yeah, Labour! It's utter nonsense. So here's what you can do. Keep most of your money out of the banks. Don't give your money to big corporations and people who don't accept cash. Learn how to be an entrepreneur. Learn how to be an investor. Join Rob.team. Type Rob.team into any web page. Hundreds of hours of courses, resources, and masterclasses to help you create decentralization Freedom, freedom of cash, freedom of business, freedom of thought and mind. You need to learn how to be an investor. Real estate, gold, silver, the stock market in the right places. You need to learn how the world really works. You need to learn how the economy really works. And thankfully there's hundreds of hours of the content on these subjects in Rob.team. Okay, less of the F words because some children are around. Okay, right, I'm out of here now. I'm home. Quick rant about, um, taxi drivers are getting— taxi drivers are having their license revoked for taking cash. Taxi drivers are charged 5% transaction fee digitally. There's a quadrillion and more of economy flow of cash. There's something like $110 trillion of cash, and that each note is exchanged about 150 times. That's more than a quadrillion. 5% of a quadrillion is trillions and trillions that the banks are not getting because of cash transactions, because they can't charge 5% on every cash transaction. And that's why I reckon they're going for a cashless society. And you must resist this. And Sean has said the networking on Rob.team is brilliant. Really appreciate you, Sean, and everyone. I'll see you in Rob.team. Share this, keep speaking out, be mindful of where you share your money. If you want to know what's really going on in the world, see where the money's going. If you want to make a difference in the world, stop paying for your TV license, stop giving your money to massive corporations, start using more cash, more— start using small independents, start your own business, get your tax bill down, get your income away from— and remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
