Tesla Sells 2bn of Bitcoin š®

In this YouTube commentary, Rob Moore examines Teslaās recent sale of roughly $2 billion worth of Bitcoināabout 75% of its holdingsāquestioning the timing and motives behind the move. He outlines Teslaās earlier proāBitcoin stance, the subsequent retreat due to environmental concerns, and the stark price drop from the $65 k peak to around $28 k (and near $20 k). Moore speculates on possible reasons: liquidity needs, insider knowledge, or a strategic shift, and wonders whether Musk believes Bitcoin could collapse. He also discusses the broader macroāeconomic backdrop of fiat currency debasement, high inflation, and the paradox of converting crypto assets into cash that is losing value. Throughout, Moore reflects on Muskās reputation, the market impact of his actions, and invites viewers to share their thoughts. The video concludes with a promotional pitch for his financialāeducation platform, rob.team, positioning it as a resource for learning investing, building income streams, and protecting against inflation and taxation.

Tesla has sold $2 billion of Bitcoin. This is massive news for many reasons. What is Elon Musk up to? So Tesla has just offloaded 75% of its Bitcoin holdings, which is $2 billion, $1.7 billion pounds. This is huge news because Tesla and Elon Musk were of course initially and famously very pro-Bitcoin. They accepted Bitcoin as a way to buy Tesla cars. The big investment from Tesla into Bitcoin is probably one of the major reasons for a surge in the price of Bitcoin. And then Elon Musk and Tesla pull out of taking Bitcoin to buy Tesla based on its apparent mass consumption of energy and not good for the climate. So my first question to you is, do you think that's the real reason They retreated from Bitcoin, and now Tesla have sold $2 billion, 75% of its Bitcoin holdings. Now, and by the way, that was the value at theā a value of it at the end of 2021. This surprises me greatly. I'm confused and intrigued in equal measure. Why would Tesla and Elon Musk sell Bitcoin now? What do they know that we don't? Bitcoin was, what, $65,000 around a year ago? Bitcoin is now, what, $28,000? It got as low as nearly $20,000. So on the outside looking in, the timing of selling this Bitcoin is terrible. I can only assume that Tesla have lost big sums of money selling Bitcoin. Now of course it depends when they bought in, and maybe they bought in early enough and low enough to have a net gain. But the timing of selling $2 billion worth of Bitcoin seems really bad to me. What do you think? Why has Elon Musk and Tesla sold Bitcoin now when it's two-thirds lower in value than it was in peak? Doesn't seem to make any sense to me, but Elonā maybe Elon Musk knows something I don't. The next crazy thing, and I'd love your thoughts on thisā guess what Tesla have done with the money? So Tesla have sold $2 billion worth of Bitcoin, and guess what they've done with the money? This is just crazy to me. They've put it back into traditional currency, fiat currency. Currency going down more than 10% a year. Inflation in the UK is 9.4%, and that's what they tell you. Inflation is in double digits. Our currency is being debased. Massive quantitative easing, soaring cost of living crisis, massive inflation, fuel price rises, scarcity of fuel and energy. Food costs going through the roof, petrol, commodities all going through the roof. Fiat currency as we know it is being debased. And yet Tesla and Elon Musk have sold at the lowest point Bitcoin has been for, for years and then bought into the biggest liability asset that there is out there, pretty much, which is fiat currency. I am intrigued, confused. I want to see what happens here. I want to know why. As you know, I'm mostly a big fan of Elon Musk. I think he's produced much for the world. I think he's an inspirational entrepreneur and an example of what can be done. I think he's got character and personality, and I think most of what he's built has made a radical difference, and he's inspired so many. But he's also an enigma, and this is one of the most scratchhead confusing things I've seen him do. So I'd love to know what you think. Let me know in the comments because maybe you know something I don't. Let me just give you the summary. So Tesla have just dumped $2 billion of Bitcoin. They've sold it, um, at one of its lowest points in many years, at two-thirds of the value of its peak value. And from what I can remember, they bought it in and around as it was going up. I don't know what they bought it in, and I think they bought it in in more than one stage. So it seems that the timing is really off. Now, if you speak to many good investorsā Warren Buffett, for exampleā he would say his wholeā his favorite holding period is forever. And he would say, if you're not going to hold something for 10 years, don't hold it for 10 minutes. And this greatly surprises me because Elon Musk must be a smart investor. He surely must do things for the long term. So why is he in and out of Bitcoin? I don't understand it. It, to me, it seems like one of the worst times to sell it unless he knows something inside about Bitcoin that we don't, unless he believes it's going to zero. And that would confuse me because he seems to be a fan of cryptocurrencies, so I'd be very surprised if he thought it's going to zero. But here's something else that I think will happen. I can imagine as the news of this ripples out, Bitcoin's gonna go down even further, because when Elon Muskā I was gonna say farts, you knowā when Elon Musk moves, everyone moves. And currencies and cryptos can boom or bust based on an Elon Musk tweet. Now Tim has said here, Tim Hater said Musk needs the cash, uh, Tesla. It was Tim, not Elon Musk. But yeah, Tesla may need the liquidity. This is a good point. And hey, look, if you need liquidity, you need liquidity. And if you need it now, you need it now. So Tim, you may have a point. But I'm sure, I don't know, I just think something's going on behind the scenes. And I would love your thoughts. I am going to watch this carefully and I'm going to report on this. Because for me, something's up. Um, now, um, a BBC analyst has said that last year Elon Musk took to Twitter and said Tesla will not be selling any Bitcoin. And this analyst has said another Musk promise broken. So is Elon Musk damaging his reputation by, you know, saying one thing, doing another, changing his mind so much? Or is this just Okay, because this is life and you're allowed to change your mind. The thing with Elon Musk is when he speaks, everyone listens, and when he speaks, markets move. Markets move up hard, markets move down hard. But yeah, I can imagine that Bitcoin's going to go down in value. Let me know what you think about that, by the way. Do you think Tesla pulling out $2 billion is going to scare the market and Bitcoin's going to go down? I would love your thoughts. What do you think is going on behind the scenes? It's definitely a very intriguing moment in time. So just quick summary: Tesla have sold $2 billion of, um, Bitcoin and they've put it into traditional currency, into fiat currency, into debasing currency, into currency going down more than 10% a year. This just beggars belief. What is going on there, my friends? Let me know. Maybe you know something I don't. What is going on? Ah, here's one thing I do know though. What does Elon Musk know about Bitcoin that I don't? Do you think he thinks it's going to go to zero? Does he have some insider knowledge? What's even more baffling to me is he sold $2 billion of Bitcoin and put it into traditional currency, which is debasing at more than 10% a year. Some of you said he needs the cash. Some of you said because Bitcoin's a Ponzi. I want to know your thoughts in the comments. We need to watch this closely because this could send ripples across the world.
