The 3 Uncommon Traits of Real Millionaires

In this 20‑minute monologue, UK entrepreneur and best‑selling author Rob Moore debunks popular TikTok‑style wealth advice and outlines three concrete traits that he says are common to every self‑made millionaire and billionaire he has studied over an 18‑year research project. The first trait is the ability to raise money – whether through investors, loans, or sales – and Moore argues that no one becomes a multi‑millionaire without mastering capital acquisition. The second trait is learning from other wealthy people; Moore stresses that surrounding yourself with rich mentors, networks, and content is essential and that a “broke” network leads to failure. The third trait is accountability, which can come from internal drive, mentors, masterminds, or competitive environments. After presenting these points, Moore pivots to launch his new “Race to 10K” program – a six‑month, WhatsApp‑based challenge that combines mentorship, daily content, group accountability, and prize incentives. He positions the program as a disruptive, heavily discounted alternative to traditional high‑ticket coaching, explains the application‑only enrollment process, outlines pricing, bonuses, and the limited‑capacity cohort, and repeatedly urges viewers to apply. Throughout, he mixes persuasive storytelling, personal credibility (15‑year millionaire, 20‑year entrepreneur, 19‑book author, 340 rental units), and a dismissive tone toward mainstream social‑media wealth advice.
Chapters
The 3 uncommon traits of real millionaires. And I'm not talking about 17-year-old TikTokers who can't even grow a beard and don't even have pubic hair. I'm not talking about what they tell you makes millionaires on TikTok. And you know, all this American influencer stuff like go big or go home, you know, go all in, 10x. Go bust 4 times. This isn't actually the real stuff that really works. It's just folly for social media, and it looks jazzy, and it gets clickbait. So I became a millionaire 15 years ago. I became a deca-millionaire more than 10 years ago. I've interviewed 21 billionaires on my show Disruptors, and I know hundreds of millionaires. I'm also the UK's best-selling author in the money section with my book Money. It's actually a global bestseller, but specifically money books in the UK written by UK authors. And I've been doing probably an 18-year research project ongoing on the common traits of real millionaires and billionaires. And I can distill it down into 3 main things. And this is very uncommon, but if you think about it, Common sense is not so common, and uncommon sense is what makes people successful. I don't know if you've ever heard the phrase, observe the masses and do the opposite. So by the way, there are some traits that can make you rich in some niches and not in others. You know, working hard makes you start towards being rich, but actually the really rich people don't hustle 24/7, 365. So you have to work hard to start, but then you have to leverage to grow. And many people are trying to leverage at the start, or they're working too hard to be rich. And J. Paul Getty, one of the richest people in the world, said, "Never work too hard to be rich." So just giving you the context here of me sharing these 3 things that maybe you wouldn't ordinarily be seen or told. So the first thing across the board Every single millionaire and billionaire I've ever met and ever researched, bar zero, got good at raising money or had to raise money. It's a massive myth that you need to be born into wealth to be rich. Most of us know this now. You know, there's now a higher percentage of people who are self-made from zero than inherited wealth. Often inherited wealth, you end up losing it all in the end, or most of it. Because the money was a curse because you didn't know how to make money and how to manage money and how to master money. So, you know, I raised money to buy my first 20 properties. Um, you either raise money through investors to start a business, or, you know, you pitch to dragons, or you get private equity, or you get good at getting loans and you become very investable and you get good at getting mortgages and loans. Or you start selling and you raise money through selling, and then you reinvest it back into the business. But if you want to go from 6 to 7 to 8 to 9 figures, you're going to need to raise money. And to all of you here who are watching, who are thinking, well, I don't have much or any money, that's probably good news to your ears to know that everyone who became a millionaire, bar none, had to at some point, or got very good at raising money. That's the first thing. You don't have to go bust 4 times. You know, in America, apparently you're more investible if you've been bust. If you don't, you don't have to go bust 4 times. I've never been bust, never had to wind a company down or been insolvent, and yet I'm a multimillionaire. So that's the first no-bullshit trait of millionaires: good at raising money. The second thing, and this is really important, is Every rich person got rich learning from other rich people. The, the most guaranteed way to go broke is to be around broke people and learn from broke people, or read mainstream media, or watch 17-year-old TikTokers, or ranty influence American influencers on LinkedIn who haven't really done it. And the only way to be great at something is to learn from someone who's great at it. So I'm in my Aston Martin DBS here And if I wanted to race this around a track and get very good at racing it, the only type of person that's going to be able to teach me to do that is someone who's raced before, someone who is quicker than me and better than me. And if you want to be really good at Brazilian jiu-jitsu, then you need to roll on the mats with black belts when you're a white belt. So the only way, the only way to get rich is you have to learn from people who've been there and done it. You have to leverage the traits of the greats and learn from other rich people. Now, if you're smart, you learn from many rich people, and you either blag a lunch with them if you're starting out, or you listen to their podcasts and watch their content, or you get mentored by them. Um, and soon enough you'll build the network. And have you ever heard the saying, your network is your net worth? No millionaire has got a zero air or a brokey network, for sure. So that's the second no-bullshit, no-nonsense trait. No millionaire ever was self-made, did everything on their own, and never learned from anyone except themselves. Because you don't know what you don't know. And what got you here won't get you there. Okay, then the third trait of all millionaires that I've met is they have accountability, i.e., there's something internal that drives them to never quit, or they have mentors or coaches, or they're in a mastermind, or they compete somehow or somewhere. You know, like, remember, um, Microsoft, Bill Gates, and Apple, Steve Jobs, they were quite competitive. Look at Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi, how they sort of compete with each other. So every single millionaire has accountability, i.e., it's done. Not, I want to do it, I'm interested in doing it, I like the idea of being successful. It is done. Whether it's collaboration, competition, mentorship, some kind of fear of loss, some kind of internal pain that's driving them to do the hard things, to face the rejection, to keep going when it doesn't feel easy. 'Cause when all is said and done, more is said than done. So quick summary, no bullshit, real stuff here. Commonalities in all of them. Now by the way, have I missed out some traits that have made some people millionaires? Of course. But I'm talking about the common ones across all of them. Now by the way, if you want to know the billionaire ones, make sure you're following me because at some point I'll share the ones, the common traits of billionaires as well. So you need to get good at raising money. You need to make sure you hang around rich people and learn from the rich, and you need to make sure there's hardcore accountability to get shit done. And this is why I'm launching my brand new Race to $10K. Now I'm going to piss off some of my competitors. I'm going to, I'm going to completely disrupt the training and coaching and mentoring space. Here's why. Because whilst I still have a mentoring program that's $48 grand plus VAT and it's full for now 7 months, I'm dramatically undercutting that. Um, I have a mastermind that's 25 grand, has about 70 millionaires in it. Um, I have a 6-figure mastermind at 12 grand. Um, and I have an online startup WhatsApp, um, mentoring program which is 5.5 grand. And I am disrupting all of those, and I'm disrupting anyone who has coaching and mentoring. And I'm launching the brand new Race to 10K. It's a combination of a challenge to get you accountable, being mentored by a multi-millionaire, and learning the strategies tactics of becoming wealthy. So give me a yes in the comments if you like the idea of competing with other people and maybe winning 10 grand, or maybe winning, you know, a year's 25 grand Inner Circle masterminding with me. You like the idea of being in a group where you can collaborate and learn from each other. So you like the idea of both collaboration and competition. Give me a yes in the comments if that's you. Give me a yes in the comments if you'd like to learn from a multimillionaire without having to pay multimillionaire fees or prices. So I'm launching something brand new and disruptive called The Race to 10K, and it is a 6-month challenge where I will give you strategies and tactics and mentoring and support and daily content for you to go from zero to 10K. Or there's a 100K group if you're at 10K and you want to go to 100K. Now the great news is it's about 87% off my usual one-to-one mentoring fees. There's a couple of reasons why I'm giving that huge discount. I get some benefit from this, by the way, as well, so I have my own motives for doing this, as well as you getting, um, a wildly massive discount which none of my competitors will do. So here's the thing: you have to apply for this. You can't just go and buy it. There's no way you can go online and buy it. You have to apply. I'll be reviewing to see if you're a good fit. Then you'll speak to one of my team and they'll double-check and they'll take you through a a process because I don't want anyone's money if they're not up for this. You need to be committed. Do you need to be rich yet? No. Do you need to have started a business yet? No. But do you need to be committed? Yes. Do you need to be coachable? Yes. So if you're committed and coachable and you can find a very small amount of money to get in— because the problem with free advice is it's worth every penny, but when you pay, you pay attention— if you can meet the criteria, I'm going to help you and I'm going to give you everything I've got for the next 6 months. So it's called The Race to 10K, and I've just put the link in the comments. So go now to raceto10k.com. Go there right now and just fill in the application form. There's a few questions. If you can't even be able to fill that in, you're probably not going to be successful. But make sure you go and do it now, because if you think, oh, I'll come back later, you won't. And the link— I've actually put the link in the comments But if you want to type it in to be quick, go to race210k.com. That's race210k.com. Now I'm looking for a maximum of 50 people here. I think we have 25+ already enrolled. It starts in a couple of weeks. I enrolled some of my better clients who already know me early, so they're getting access to me already. Um, so you're going to need to be quick and go and apply now. I can see the numbers dropping, which means people are going to apply. So go and do that now. You're going to get 80-odd percent off my usual mentoring fees because it's a group mastermind and I can pass the savings on to you because it's on WhatsApp. And you know, I don't have to take hours a day out of my time to book in one-to-one calls. Um, the one of the ways I'm really disrupting the mentoring and training space is every single other mentor and coach I know hate WhatsApp. They don't want anyone messaging them. They don't want to give away their private number. They don't want direct access. All they want is for you to pay tens of thousands, and then maybe once every 2 or 3 months they'll have a one-to-one call and you know, they'll probably be distracted, distracted and not very interested in you. I am completely different. I actually like WhatsApp better. I don't like booking in 2-hour calls here, there, and everywhere because I don't have the time, and my diet— my, um, diary is much more dynamic and fluid. So you can actually get the benefit of getting direct access to me. You'll get my mobile number. You'll be able to voice memo me all day, all night on WhatsApp in the Race to 10K group. So any question you ask me will get answered, and any you don't think to ask, the other people who are in the Race to 10K Challenge, they'll ask it and you can get it answered. I'm doing 15,000 steps a day and I do all my WhatsApps on my walks. Um, I'm very accessible. I like working fast. Here's the thing, if you had to wait 2 months to ask me a question because you want to be on my 50 grand one-to-one and you have to wait 2 months to be able to get a call with me, that's not how I work. That's how a lot of the other mentors work. Well, that doesn't work for you and that's shit and that's slow. But if you've got a question now and you ask it and you get answered within 24 hours, you have another one, you get it answered within 24 hours. Imagine how much quicker you can be successful. Very quick. Now, this isn't a new thing that I'm doing. No one else is doing this in my industry. But I started one at the start of the year called The 45, and there's 2 groups and there's 90 people absolutely smashing it. One of my clients said he just hit his first million pound month. Within 2 months, one of my clients said he's got a 20x return on his investment, so much so he upgraded to my Inner Circle Elite program. So this is serious. If you want to go from $0 to $10K or $10K to $100K, we've got the Startup Group and the Scale Up Group. You get direct access to me for 6 months, anytime, anywhere. You can voice memo me, you can message me, as long as it's in our Race to $10K group. Um, I've got some really cool bonuses. Like I've got a full systems document for my company. Um, I'm going to actually give you access to that. That's a $20 million a year in sales business. I've got all sorts of master resources, template documents that I'm creating that you'll get access to. My 22-page master launch document, my compelling offer creator. Um, I'm also— people ask me a lot about how to leverage social media. So I'm going to do a masterclass on how to leverage social media without having to be on it all day or without having to pay someone full-time. To help you. There's loads of great benefits, and you're going to be winning prizes, and you're going to be able to get, um, access to live events with me and multi-millionaires. And every 2 weeks, I'm going to bring in a guest millionaire to do a takeover mentoring day. This is going to piss off a lot of my competitors, I'm telling you. So the link to apply— remember, you can't buy yet. For many of you, I know you've been following me for a while, I need to check it's a good fit. I don't want anyone in the group who's negative. I don't want anyone in the group who's lazy. You need to be coachable, you need to be committed, but that's it. Um, Natasha has said the Race to 10K is a brilliant opportunity for anyone in business and it's great value. In fact, they gave Natasha, I think, 2 answers this morning. Um, all you need to do is apply. So it's r-a-c-e-t-o-1-0-k.com. That's Race to 10K. .com. I'm looking for 50 wildly epic great case studies that I'll be able to publish on my website at the start of 2025. So that's one of the reasons I'm doing this. Also, I'm creating a lot of leveraged material from this that I can sell elsewhere. So that's another reason, my personal selfish motives for giving you a huge discount. So go and apply now by typing in race to 10K, but that's 1-0,.com. I've put it in the comments. And remember this: if you don't risk anything, you risk everything. You risk nothing to apply. You can't pay anyway, so you're not making any commitment other than for me to review your application and for someone in my team to speak to you to see if it's a good fit. If it's a good fit, then, um, we're in, we're working together. You're getting to work. I say this humbly, but I've been an entrepreneur 20 years. I'm one of the top entrepreneurs in this country and one of the most followed entrepreneurs in this country. 19 times author, 250 million in sales, 340 rental units. When could you normally get access to someone like that, you know, for such a low investment? But like I said, I've got a few tricks up my sleeve as to why it benefits me as well as you, and I want to piss off my competitors. So thanks for tuning in. Go to R-A-C-E-T-O-1-0-K.com and remember the 3 common traits of millionaires. It's not all this fluff and guff and bullshit you see on LinkedIn and TikTok TikTok from 17-year-olds and people who haven't even made 100 grand, let alone a million. 15 years ago I became a millionaire. Oh, by the way, this, this, um, Race to 10K hybrid of challenge, masterminding, mentoring is all online, all on WhatsApp. So any country in the world this applies to. The common traits of real millionaires are they got good at raising money, they learned from other rich people and therefore they basically got rid of anyone who was broke in their life and a negative drain. And they got accountability, because when all is said and done, more is said than done. To know and not to do is not to know. But if you know, the Americans say if you need it more than oxygen— well, no one needs anything more than oxygen, and no one needs money more than oxygen. So I think it's such a shit thing that they say, but I get what they mean. What they mean is if you need it like you need life it's done. You don't need to know how, you need to know who. So I'll see you at race2-10k.com. Thanks for tuning in. Mark's also joined, so Mark, hit me up with your questions in Race to 10K. And remember, if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
