The 4 Steps to Wealth 🚀

Rob Moore breaks down wealth building into four steps: earn more than you spend, save a fixed percentage monthly, invest in income-producing assets, and reinvest the returns. Saving alone won't make you rich; only asset income compounds wealth across multiple streams.

The 4 steps to wealth, sustainable and scalable wealth, proven and simple, though not easy. Once I've shared the 4 simple steps to wealth, it won't take me long, then I'm going to share with you the 4 behavioural disciplines required to scale that wealth and have that for vast and lasting wealth and riches. Okay, number 1 rule, the first step to wealth is to never spend more than you earn. No month should ever go by when you're more in debt than you are credit. Even if you only save 1% or 5% of your earnings, that will compound over time. And in reverse, if you only get into debt by 1% or 5% of your earnings, that will compound over time and your debt will build and your expenses will go up and there will be interest on interest on interest. Life works with velocity and momentum. A body at rest tends to stay at rest. If you're in debt, it's hard to get out of it. A body in motion tends to stay in motion. So if you are in credit and earning interest and recurring income streams, that tends to compound. So step 1 is never spend more than you earn. Step 2 is to save a set percentage of your income every month. Like I said, it might just be 1%, might be just £100 or dollars a month, and then in 3 months you can up it to 5%. And if you can consistently get to 10% of your earnings saved and then invested every month, it will only take you a few short years to build wealth. Now, people think that wealth is vast riches and millions of pounds. It isn't. Wealth is having an excess of money and income over and above your expenses. And your living expenses might be £3,000 a month, and if you have £4,000 a month coming in, that's a £1,000 a month surplus. In a few short years, you can gain quite a lot of wealth from relatively small amounts of money. On the other side of it, some people, for example, they will earn tens of thousands a month, but they will spend tens of thousands a month. Okay, so you're going to increase the percentage that you're going to save each month. This is step 2. And then step 3 is to invest those savings into assets. So you actually can't save your way to wealth. You can use savings as a bridge to invest in assets that protect the capital, increase the capital value with capital appreciation, and give you income, hopefully multiple streams, and hopefully recurring income. But a lot of people teach you about saving money. Saving is good for discipline, but saving will not make you rich. Only investing will make you rich. So you never spend more than you earn, step 1. You save a percentage of your income, step 2. Step 2.5 is to bridge that money into your savings to build up enough to invest. And then step 3 is to invest the money, whether it's real estate or digital assets or a managed stock portfolio or maxing your ISAs or a Rolex Daytona or whatever, or starting a business. Because you will only get rich investing in assets that pay income. You will never get rich saving or spending. And then step 4, once you've built some investments, is the profit, the recurring income from those investments, you reinvest so that your investment pot grows, so that the capital grows, so that the percentage of income on capital grows, so that you build not one but multiple income streams. Now what a lot of people do when they do get an asset and they do start to produce income, they spend it. And it's like slaying the golden goose once for that delicious meal when it could be laying golden eggs forever. So I actually reinvest 50% of the profits of my companies back into the growth of the companies, back into investing in assets. I just bought, well, developed over 5 years, 159-tenant, 99-apartment block It's 125,000 square foot. It's the biggest private rented building in my city. Took me 5 years, many millions of pounds reinvested in, but that'll pay more than $2 million a year in income. So don't just slay the golden goose. Reinvest a percentage of your income back into assets to grow those assets, to compound those assets. Okay, so in a moment I'm going to share with you 4 habits required for fast and lasting wealth, and then I'll do a summary, summary. But before that, do you know that I have a platform where you can gain more access to me, where you can gain ask me anything lives with me, Zoom masterclass deep dive sessions with me, Zoom masterminds with me, live events with me? Go there now and then pop back. So I'll give you a second to do that. So I've just covered the 4 steps to building wealth and riches. And step 1, let's put the light on, there you go. Step 1 is never spend more than you earn. Step 2 is save an increasing percentage of your income. Each month, go from 1% to 5% to 10%. Step 3, once you've, well, step 2.5 is to build up a savings pot. Step 3 is to invest into assets, and step 4 is to reinvest back into assets so your multiple streams of recurring income builds and builds. These are the 4 stages and steps of sustainable and scalable wealth, and they work. And you don't need to be any more complicated or technical than that. Okay, now the 4 habits, you know, the personality, traits, the disciplines required for vast and lasting wealth. Number 1 is you need a plan. So you need a budget. You need to make sure that you know what you're spending and make sure that you know what you're earning. And if you need to do overtime or have a side hustle to get that income up, you need to have a plan for what percentage of savings you are going to target each month. And then what plan are you going to have for the amount that you're then going to take your savings and invest? The second thing you need after a plan is you need to take action. So thank you for all the kind comments, by the way. So too many people are learning but not doing. To know but not to do is not to know. To know and not to do is not to know. Now, Lynette has just asked what makes me different from Martin Lewis. Well, I think a lot of people think I've got a lot more energy. I wrote the UK's best-selling book on money called Money. I have a vast real estate portfolio. I've written 18 different books. I'm more of an entrepreneur than a money-saving guy. Martin Lewis talks a lot about money saving, whereas I talk a lot about money making and growing. So look, but hey, look, good guy, done a lot for the country. So, you know, I'm only answering because you asked. Okay. So once you've got a plan, stage 1, and then you take an action, stage 2, then you've got to have discipline. Discipline to keep on keeping on, to keep the main thing the main thing. When it gets hard, you get harder. When it gets tough, you get tougher. And then step 4 is persistence, which means keep on keeping on. When it gets bored, when it gets hard, when you've lost direction, when it seems like nothing is really happening, you must keep on keeping on. So does, yes, this teaching does work in Canada. It works in any country in the world. Step 1, never spend more than you earn. Step 2, save a percentage of your income. Step 3, once you've built up enough savings, invest into assets that produce recurring income and have capital growth. Step 4, the income from the assets, use at least 50% of that, take 50% in profit, and take 50% and reinvest it into more assets to build up the compounding multiple streams of recurring income. And then the 4 habits required are a plan, Action, discipline, and persistence. By the way, please hit the share button.
