The Big Income Trend for 2022

In this live webinar Rob Moore argues that subscription revenue will be the biggest income trend in 2022 because it can be deployed across every major social platform. He explains that while subscriptions are not new (citing Netflix), the proliferation of subscription tools on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, podcasts, Clubhouse, OnlyFans, Patreon, etc., makes it a universal monetization method. Moore shares his own earnings—£150‑200k per month in recurring social media income, £350‑500k total social media revenue, and examples of deals with Blinkist, Manscaped, and a $23k YouTube video. He outlines the live, on‑the‑ground steps to launch on existing platforms (Facebook Supporters, YouTube Premium, podcast ads, Instagram badges, etc.) and upcoming features (TikTok and Instagram subscription buttons). He promotes his own subscription hub, Rob.team, as a model for creators to copy, and announces upcoming paid courses: a 7‑Figure Subscription Secrets masterclass and a free 10x Your Social Media Following Challenge that will later become a paid course. Moore stresses the importance of recurring online income as a hedge against COVID‑related lockdowns and economic uncertainty, urging creators to charge at least $10/month, acquire three new members daily, and repurpose a single piece of content across multiple channels to generate multiple revenue streams. The talk blends practical how‑to advice, personal financial proof, promotional calls‑to‑action, and a sense of urgency driven by the pandemic and government mismanagement.

The big income trend for 2022, I don't believe it's going to be cryptos. I don't believe it's going to be NFTs. I believe there's one big income trend which you can leverage because you can execute it on virtually every channel. You can't execute an NFT or cryptos on every channel. But what you can execute on every single channel is subscription revenue. So I believe that for 2022, the big income trend is subscription revenue. Now, is this new? No. I actually just literally finished interviewing the founder of Netflix. Netflix have 200-odd million users. They make billions in recurring subscription revenue. So no, subscription isn't new, but it— but you know, art isn't new, yet NFTs are a version of art. So here's the thing and the reason why subscription revenue I think is going to be the big income trend for 2022, because TikTok are on it, Facebook are on it, Instagram are on it. YouTube are on it. Clubhouse are gonna have to get on it. Facebook, by the way, are on it multiple different ways. Podcasting is on it, so there's really not a channel— OnlyFans is on it, Patreon is on it. I don't know why I sounded like a pervert when I said OnlyFans, um, but virtually every social media channel or channel where you can access an audience, there are now subscription tools either live or launching soon. So what I'll do is I will share the ones that are live, and I'll tell you quickly how to jump on them, and then the ones that are coming soon, because I'm fortunate enough to have a Facebook account manager, a TikTok account manager, and an Instagram account manager. You usually have to spend millions in ads and you still can't get any responses from Facebook and Instagram. So I'm in that fortunate position where I am tipped off on what's going on in these social media channels and what's launching soon. So what I'll do is I'll share with you what's live now, and then I'll save to the end what's launching soon. The big income opportunity for 2022, I believe, is subscription revenue because you can generate it from every single channel. Now, the great— if you play social media well and content well, there's great leverage. So I'm currently live on Facebook and TikTok and Clubhouse. Now, if I was just live on Facebook, I'd do this piece of content and then I'd have to go and start recording my podcast, and I'd do that for 30 minutes. Then I'd have to do a Clubhouse for 30 minutes. Then I'd have to do a TikTok live for 30 minutes, then an Instagram live for 30 minutes. And I'd have to keep repeating myself. And I do that anyway, as my critics tell me. Whereas if you just go live on Facebook and simultaneously create content, you can actually generate income streams from all the social media channels. So the reason that, um, subscription revenue is the big income opportunity for 2022 is because it's one asset Multiple platforms, multiple income streams. So Greg has just asked on the live, what percentage of your income comes from these assets? Well, I wouldn't say a greater percentage, but I do have 1,300 tenants across hundreds of properties. I've done £150 million plus in training revenue. It's probably more now because I haven't really counted the last 2 years. Um, I've obviously made tens of millions in property. I've made hundreds of millions in property. And property training. But what I can tell you is this, um, we make between £350,000 and £500,000 revenue from social media. Now, by the way, that mostly used to be on ad revenue, i.e., paid to generate that revenue, but now I'd say it's about 50/50 organic versus paid. So to answer the question, therefore, with some context, it's about probably between £150,000 and £200,000 a month in recurring income from social media and content in the form of podcasts and podcast ads. Blinkist pay me £150 per 1,000 downloads. I've had tens of millions of downloads and subscribers. Um, I— Manscaped have just paid me $1,500 for one episode. Um, I'm doing a $300,000 subscription and, um, advertiser deal with a tech company. Um, just cutting that as we speak right now. Uh, we may— we made $23,000 on one video on YouTube. It was the David Icke interview before it got freaking taken down. So there's just a little example. I've got thousands of members on Rob Moore Supporters and rob.team. That makes me tens of thousands a month. Now, by the way, I don't say any of this to brag. I wasn't even going to give you all those numbers, but I got asked by Greg on the Facebook Live. But I suppose it is nice to get a bit of social proof and context. So the big income opportunity for 2022 is subscription, because you create it once and leverage it multiple streams of income. It's like having sex once and getting orgasms every day for the next 12 months. Set to forget. Love it. You build the asset once, you get the recurring ongoing income and benefit. So the ones that are live right now Facebook supporters, YouTube ads, YouTube Premium, podcast ads, podcast sponsors, Spotify and Apple Podcasts, Luminary Podcasts, Clubhouse tips, Instagram badges. Well, they're more one-off donations, but I've literally just given you 7 or 8 ongoing recurring subscription revenue leveraging your podcast subscribers, your YouTube subscribers, and your Facebook subscribers. In addition to that, you could either have OnlyFans or you could have Patreon, which are essentially white label, um, platforms. Now look, OnlyFans, of course, it's 40% in the porn industry. Ed's the guru at that. He studies that in detail. I'll leave that to him. But, um, But actually, it's not just that industry, it's many different industries. But Patreon, I guess, is the more general one. Now, you can launch an account on Patreon for no upfront fees. So someone has just asked on my TikTok Live, how'd you make money with no money? Go and set up an account on Patreon, upload some content in your niche, set up 1 or 3 payment levels and then Patreon will charge 12% of your subscription revenue. So if you charge $10, they'll want $1.20, and you'll get $8.80. And with no money, you can launch recurring income from your content into cash flow, your information into income, your passion into your profession. And some people say, but Rob, what's my niche? Or it's difficult to create content. Well, I'm just going to look around my home studio here. I've written a load of books, so I could do it on writing books. I love vinyl. I collect vinyl, so I could do it on vinyl collecting. I collect watches, so I could do it on watch collecting. Um, I'm a podcaster, I've got this podcast gear, I could do it on podcasting. There's literally nothing you couldn't do a subscription or members platform on. Now obviously some niches are more broad than others, so mine is for entrepreneurs, start and scale up, for people who want to make more money and create multiple streams of recurring income. And you know, that's quite a, a very niche, if you like. Richard has just said on the live, Information is the new currency. Exactly. Attention and information is the new forms of currency. So let me repeat the ones that you could actually launch yourself from the same piece of content. So for example, I'm live here on Facebook. When I finish this live, I can extract that video, and this content could be put onto my Patreon, it could be put onto my YouTube, it could be put onto my LinkedIn, and then I can earn multiple streams of subscription revenue from the same piece of content. I could turn my Zoom H5 on here, and then I could record the podcast episode, and then it goes on the podcast, and I have my sponsors and my advertisers who pay me for that show. So that is— I just mentioned there 5 income streams from content, and yet people aren't putting content out there. What's freaking stopping you Content into cash flow, information into income. Now, the new ones that are coming that most people don't know about are TikTok, Instagram. Now, Apple and Spotify recently launched the subscription button. So on Apple and Spotify Podcasts, you can listen free, but then you can also press the subscribe button and you can now receive payments for your exclusive behind-the-scenes or premium content. So I'm going to give you an example of how easy this is. Let's say I'm interviewing David Icke, and I could do 45 minutes of interviewing him, and then I could cut and I could put that on my podcast and YouTube, but then I could do 30 minutes afterwards of all the shit that can't be published publicly because it's about COVID and lockdowns and conspiracy theories, and I can put it in my subscription part of Apple Podcasts or Spotify Podcasts. So it's the same piece of content, I just give 45 minutes for free and then the last 30 minutes is in, in my premium. Now this is not a new model, but it's going to be the big trend of 2022 in income— subscription revenue. And if you don't make subscription revenue in 2022, then more fool, fool to you, because you'll be missing out on probably the easiest income stream I believe that there is, because you're already going to be creating the content or the information anyway. So these new ones that are kicking off are Instagram and TikTok. So my TikTok account manager tipped me off a few weeks ago that in a couple of months' time TikTok Lives will have a premium element, i.e., people are watching the TikTok Lives can subscribe, and for a few dollars a month— and I don't know what the fees are going to be because they haven't announced it— people can get behind the scenes or, um, exclusive content. So I can go live on TikTok and I can do ask me anythings to my subscribers, whereas I only just do maybe pre-planned content for my non-subscribers. The same on Instagram. You'll be able to go live on Instagram and there'll be a subscription element where people can access premium or exclusive content with you. So for example, I think any creator now is really smart to not do Ask Me Anything lives anymore, to not answer questions, because why should we? If you're a creator, that's how you get paid. So, um, if they don't do Q&As and Ask Me Anythings and they have this exclusive behind-the-scenes content, or the content that can't be published publicly, then that becomes your premium behind the paywall. And now you can turn on multiple streams of income from subscriptions— subscriptions on Apple Podcasts, on Spotify Podcasts, on Facebook Supporters, on TikTok, on Instagram— from the same piece of content. This is why I believe the biggest income trend of 2022 will be subscription revenue. Now I have a subscription platform called Rob.team, so, um, if you're watching on TikTok or listening in on Clubhouse, the link is Rob.team, and you can actually join my subscription platform for just £5 a month. £5 a month. Actually depends on your currency, it's sometimes even less. Now if you're watching on Facebook, I've got a direct Facebook link and I'm going to put the direct Facebook link in the comments, so make sure you go and check it out. Now there's a couple of reasons why you might want to join my subscription platform. It's only a few dollars a month, it's literally the cost of one medium skinny cappuccino extra shot, and I get 62 of them a month, so it's a complete no-brainer. You know, I ain't trying to sell it, I'm just trying to tell it. It's £3.49 a month, that's all it is. But reason number 1 you might want to join my Rob.team subscription platform— link is pinned to the top on the Clubhouse room— is because you can go in and model my subscription platform and build your own. I've actually got subscription on multi-platforms, but Rob.team is one I had hand-built by a developer, and you can go and subscribe for a fiver, and you can go in and go, okay, this is the amount of content Rob does a week or a month, this is the type of content Rob does a week or a month, this is the exclusive type, this is the access type, these are the bonuses, these are the masterclasses. You can figure it all out and then you can model it completely. So for the cost of one cup of coffee per month which is only one subscriber on your platform, you can go into my platform and copy my platform. Now get this, you're gonna love this. I'm actually launching next year a 7-figure Subscription Secrets Masterclass course because I believe the biggest income trend for 2022 is going to be subscription revenue. The biggest income opportunity for you, quickest, cheapest, and easiest. So I'm actually going to launch a brand new course in 2022 called 7-Figure Subscription Secrets, 2-day deep dive intensive course, you know, where you'll learn what platforms to set up on and what content to put up and how much to charge and what the levels are and to grow the— grow your own subscription platform. And if you go right now and join myrob.team, um, I'm actually going to give you the biggest discount ever on that course. It won't cost you very much money at all, and it'll be launching early 2022. So the link on Clubhouse is pinned to the top. It's rob.team. But because I've got, um, multiple platforms, on Facebook, if you use Facebook, you're better off joining on the link that I'm putting in the comments, which is bit.ly/cashrm, as in my name, Rob Moore. Cashrm. I'll put that in the link in the Facebook comments. Now, if you want to jump in and ride and leverage the wave of the biggest trend for income in 2022, like Netflix— and I just interviewed the founder of Netflix literally, um, you know, just a few hours ago— then you need to set up your own subscription platform. In fact, you need to set up multiple subscription platforms on multiple channels like I've just discussed. And in rob.team, you You'll be able to model me doing that. And then that will leave you with one final thing that you've got to figure out, and that's how do you get users? Because it's all very well having a brilliant subscription platform on Facebook supporters, on Patreon, etc., putting out awesome content, living the dream, but then if you only have a few subscribers, you're only getting $50 or $100 or $200 a month. Now, by the way, that would be all right money for people, but you can make tens of thousands of dollars a month fairly easily. So I'm going to do some maths for you, and then I'm going to talk about how you can scale up your subscribers, your followers, your fans. So get this, subscription revenue builds pretty substantially. Now, you should not be charging any less than $10 a month. Do not copy my pricing. The reason I, I charge £5, not £10, is because, um, yeah, someone has just said here, it's Sharon, has just said, I pay £3.45 a month to Rob Moore Supporters. Is that the same, same thing you're saying about as Rob.team? Yes. So on Facebook, it's Rob Moore Supporter Program. I've given you the link in Facebook, but anyone who's not on Facebook, that's why I give the link Rob.team, because not everyone likes to use Facebook. Not everyone watches me on Facebook, so it's rob.team if you don't want to use Facebook, and, um, it's bit.ly/cashrm if you do want to use Facebook. Now, like I said, I create multiple streams of income. I've got subscriptions on most of the platforms, make 5 or 6 different subscription income streams, but I don't want to confuse you, which is why I'm only mentioning rob.team right now. But let me carry on with the maths, right? So at $10 a month, you should not charge any less. The reason I did is because I was one of the first 60 people in the world to be given the Facebook Supporter program. Now, I must admit, I'm just going to be straight up, that pandered to my ego no end. I felt like I was, you know, special. Facebook loved me. And Facebook said to me, you can charge between £3.50 and £10 a month I think you could even do £20 a month, but once you charge what you charge, you can't go up or down. And I was a bit excited and I wanted to give a lot of value and I wanted to get thousands or tens of thousands of members, so I said £3.49. I shouldn't have done that, was stupid. By the way, Richard White, Richard White has just subscribed. Welcome aboard, Richard, to the Rob.team, um, supporter platform. But, um, I've painted myself into a corner now where I can't up the fees. And $10 is still not a lot of money. So learn from my mistakes, charge minimum $10. By the way, I made loads of mistakes, you want to learn from all of them. But I now have thousands of members and I earn hundreds of thousands a year in subscription revenue. So get this, if you get just 3 new members a day at $10, do you know how much that is in 1 year? 3 new members a day at $10 in one year, just getting 3 new members a day, that's $11,000 a month. Not a year, a month. Now someone has just said here on my TikTok Live, do these tips work for people in the Caribbean? These tips work for people in every country in the world as long as you've got an internet connection. This is the beautiful thing about subscription platform. Is this is really important, by the way. In England, we might be going into a worse, another lockdown. We've got this variant strain that's apparently, you know, more contagious. Every other day there's a new rule and restriction— masks and then vaccine passports. And apparently in January it's going to get worse. So what's the one hedge from that? Having online subscription income. If you have a shop or a job or a retail business or a travel business or a local business, You— I just have to say how it is. The government could fuck you. Honestly, I'm sorry about this, but I've just got to say it clean and straight. I don't think the government are handling it well this time around. I think maybe you had sympathy in lockdown 1.0, maybe in 2.0 it wore a bit thin, but this time around they're having staff Christmas parties in lockdown and then locking us down. And honestly, the UK are pissed off. And really, really, overnight they could cut your business dead. No money, no job. Oh, and by the way, because these are guidelines— get this for bullshit— they're guidelines even though they're not. And they fine you if you don't wear a mask, but apparently they're only guidelines, which means they don't have to give you financial support. So the price, the cost of living is going up, taxes are going up, inflation is going up. Inability to work is going up and income is going down. So what's the one way? I don't know any other way. The only way that you can hedge against this is recurring online income. And that's why it's absolutely vital that you join Rob.team. Rob.team. Now, if you're watching on Facebook, remember It's a different link if you want to join on Facebook, just because I have multiple platforms, because I have multiple income streams. bit.ly/cashrm on Facebook if you're watching, um, and it's rob.team on any other platform. I pinned the link to the top. So let me go back to the income. Sorry about that slight diversion, but honestly, I feel I must stand and speak up. My Facebook videos have been getting hundreds of thousands of views because I'm not gonna stay silent anymore. I was worried I might affect my business or my brand or get deplatformed. If they lock us down for Lockdown 4.0, I'm not fucking having it, and I will not be silent. And thankfully, I've got recurring income from all these subscription platforms, so therefore it shouldn't hurt me too much. But by the way, I was just planning an event at the end of March in the UK. It had been a month, a £1 million revenue event, and now I've probably got to cancel it.
Why?
So I'm gonna lose a million quid on that event. I'm probably— if they shut us down again, I'm probably going to lose £10 million. So you must have recurring income. Anyway, 3 members a day at $10 is $11,000 a month within a year. So here's the thing, the key to this is one, setting up your subscription platform, two, it being on multiple platforms like I've mentioned earlier, but three is growing your subscription and user base. And you're gonna love this, if you've just joined Rob.team or if you join now, I'm going to put the final piece of the puzzle together for you because I care and I want you to win. And I want you to go big on your income in 2022. So in a few days' time, I'm launching a brand new 10x Your Following Social Media Challenge. I'm using this to create a 10x Your Social Media Following course. That course will be between £300 and £500 after, um, the new year, so 2022. You will see me sell it online for hardcore pounds in 2022. But if you jump in right now at rob.team, the link is pinned to the top on Clubhouse, the link for Facebook is pinned on the Facebook comments, then I'm going to allow you to do the 10x Your Social Media Following Challenge completely for free. And I'll give you the full recording, which will be the course when it's done early 2022, because the missing piece is the Following. Now, the reason I'm running the 10x Your Following Challenge is because I have thousands of my, um, subscribers, and I run a few challenges for them every year, and I do master classes, and I've got to do regular content because I've got thousands of members. So I'm doing it for my existing members, but any new member that joins now, you can jump in on this challenge. The next reason I'm doing the challenge is I just went over 1 million followers on social media recently. I actually took 7 years to build 500,000 followers across socials. Like Ed just said, I was doing the Gary Vee, 28 million pieces of content a day, but never selling and never making any money because it takes 10 years to be an overnight success and that's what you've got to do. Honestly, Gary's great, but that's not great advice. And now what I've done is focused more on growth and revenue on social media, forced by COVID, inspired by the UK Mod Squad, leveraging Clubhouse, multi-stream Lives, and it took me 7 years to build half a million, and now another 9 or 10 months and I'm at 1.1 million on socials. And then I have my 800,000 or so emails, so I'm at nearly 2 million now, email and subscribers and social media subscribers. And so what I'm going to do on this 10x Your Following Challenge, number one is it's kind of a bit of a celebration of hitting a million, but number two, everything I've learned in the last 7 years and the last 9 months in 10xing my following, because 7 years to 500 grand, and then what, 9 or 10 months to 1.1 million. I'm going to teach you the 19 things I learned doing that on the 10x Your Social Media Following Challenge. So again, if you go to rob.team— I've pinned the link up on the Clubhouse room— rob.team on Clubhouse or on Facebook, I'll put the link in the comments. It's a different link if you join on Facebook. You can gain access to this 10x Your Following Challenge completely for free. Now it starts in, what, 3, 4 days' time, so it's coming up quite soon, so you need to jump in now. And, um, in addition to the 19 things I learned in busting through 1 million followers on social media. That'll be module 1. I'm going to teach you 18 ways to monetize social media, 19 to 19 or 20 different ways to create great content. I'm going to teach you the 8 ways to hack virality and go viral on social channels. I'm going viral about 3 times a week across my channels. I'm going to teach you about the creator economy and some of the new stuff like creator coins and social tokens and NFTs. The whole shebang's going to be in there. And then in 2022, it's going to be a brand new course that I'm going to charge for, and you'll have it all for free. Daniel has said, how do we see the extra content that's in the premium? You just join on the link I've shared, rob.team, or the link on Facebook. If you're on Facebook, it'll take you and add you into the Facebook group, private, um, only members Facebook group. And in there, all the threads to all the previous content is in there. Every day when I go live, that'll go live on your Facebook feed because Facebook knows if you're a paying member and it will just show you those lives. And anyone joining at rob.team will give you a Zoom link and we'll go live twice a day. So quick summary then, because I've got to go in a minute. Number 1, I believe the big new income trend for 2022 is subscription revenue. The really— the reason I believe that to be the case is because Subscriptions are now a thing thanks to Netflix, but you can create one piece of content and you can get subscriptions on multiple channels— Patreon, Facebook, Instagram, Clubhouse, podcast, YouTube. So you need to create content and then put them on multiple assets. Then you need to unlock all the monetization features on social media. You need to build your own platform, but it could be on Patreon or OnlyFans. and then you need to grow your following and get your 3 members a day to get your $11,100 a month within a year. Now I'm currently live on Clubhouse and on Facebook and on TikTok. So if I was utter shit, and I might be anyway, my critics think I am, but who fucking cares, um, if I only got 1 new subscriber on Clubhouse— by the way, there's been 3,200 people in this room If I only got 1 new subscriber on Facebook and 1 new subscriber on TikTok, well, that's my 3 a day. I only need to do this talk once a day for 365, 30 minutes a day for 365, and that's £11,100 a month. So all the missing parts you haven't yet got— building the platform, knowing all the social channels to monetize, unlocking all the monetization features and then growing the following. All of those missing pieces are there for you at rob.team. All you need to do is open a new browser and write in, in the browser, r-o-b.t-e-a-m, unless you're on Facebook. But go do that right now. If you're on Facebook, the link is in the comments, and you're going to get this 10x Your Social Media Following Challenge, 10 hours, 10 modules, which will be a paid-for course in 2022, a few hundred dollars probably. You're going to get that all for free, and it starts really soon. Now, some people, they unwind from like early December, they take Christmas too early. Not me, not me. I'm gonna really be pushing you to grow your social media following 15th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th of December. It's a great time. Ad costs start to go down, competition on social media starts to go down because less people create. So it's a great time. Also, I might be a bit overly worried, or I might have not enough trust in the government, but I just have to tell you what I believe to be the truth. And if I get ridiculed for it, I'll accept it. The government, I think, are not handling this situation very well, and this new variant really could put the entire country or countries into a spin and into a lockdown. The government have lost all media control. They're a joke in the UK because they had this Christmas party in lockdown, then that news came out as they're starting to try to put us in a semi-lockdown again. But here's the sad thing: businesses are going to be shutting left, right, and center. Do you know how many businesses have had all their Christmas trade canceled? Like, so many businesses— travel, leisure, pubs, restaurants, bars, hotels, clubs— all these businesses have had all their Christmas, um, revenue stripped from them. And you know where they make most of their money? In December. So you must have subscription revenue generated online and not be reliant on the government. And thankfully, me doing lives and creating recurring income from my content doesn't really matter what the government says. And if Facebook deplatforms me, well, I still got Clubhouse, I still got Instagram, I still got Patreon. And I've still got my own platform. I just care about you enough to say it how it is. I sat on the fence for 18 months in all this shit. I'm not fucking sitting on the fence anymore, and you shouldn't sit on the fence. Get off your butt, go and join rob.team. Do yourself a favor. It costs you one cup of coffee per month. You could even jump into the 10x Your Following Challenge, smash it out, grab 10 grand worth of prizes, and then cancel on your $3 for £3.49. Give it a try, what have you got to lose? So the link is rob.team, um, up at the top of Clubhouse, or on Facebook the link is bit.ly/cashrm. I don't know if you prefer Facebook or not Facebook, but you choose. Rob Moore or bit.ly/cashrm. I'm done. I believe the biggest income opportunity in 2021 is subscription revenue. And you can create multiple streams of income, turning your content into cash flow, your information into income, and your passion into your profession. Finally, Stella's asked if I'm already a supporter, do I get in on all of this? Yeah, if you're already a Rob.team member or supporter, this is all yours for free, no extra cost, all part of the service. Right, thanks a lot. I hand over the microphone back to the next speaker.
This is done. And wow, Rob, what an amazing share today, guys. If you haven't PTR'd, I want you to go right now to the top of your screen and PTR.
