The Death of Personal Brands in 2024 ⛔️

In this 2023‑11‑15 YouTube presentation, seasoned creator Rob Moore (17 years, multiple seven‑figure income streams) warns that traditional personal‑brand models are collapsing in 2024. He outlines four major areas of decline: (1) the rise of cancel culture and platform censorship that makes creators hesitant to speak authentically; (2) the end of big‑influencer sponsorships as brands shift to low‑budget, test‑based deals with micro‑influencers; (3) short‑form video’s monetization limits, prompting a resurgence of long‑form content that can host multiple ads; (4) Instagram’s loss of identity and reach, rendering it ineffective for growth. Moore then highlights emerging opportunities: the “audio revolution” – podcasts – which are uncancellable, offer the highest CPMs, and give creators full control over sponsors; and strategic content repurposing, turning a single long‑form piece into dozens of short clips across platforms. He promotes a masterclass (tiny.cc/pod2024) that teaches how to launch podcasts, secure five‑figure sponsors, build membership sites, and generate 10 k £/month with ~10 h/week. Throughout, he mixes cautionary data (e.g., past $100k sponsorships vs. current $5‑15k test deals) with actionable tactics and a strong call‑to‑action for viewers to type “yes” for access.

The death of personal brands in 2024. Warning, many social media platforms and styles of content and, you know, big influencer type deals and sponsorships and brand endorsements is all getting disrupted and much of it will be dead in 2024. I'm going to share with you 4 big areas where I think the personal brand will be dead. And maybe one or two areas where I think it's evolving into, where there might be opportunities to grow that brand, to turn content into cash flow, ideas into income, how to go viral, how not to go viral, how to figure out all the algorithms. So I'm going to share with you, um, look, I've been doing this for 17 years. I've spent millions of pounds, I've invested thousands of hours, and I've made tens of millions of pounds. I've built the UK's largest property training company. I've sold many millions of books. I've generated 9 or 10 different income streams from brands and personal brands— books, audiobooks, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, public speaking, courses, masterminds, mentoring, yada yada. Now look, I want to get into this, but I just want to— want you to know that I've seen so much in the last 17 years, and I'm going to share with you 4 areas I think are dying out. Don't waste your time. Warning, and then I'm going to share with you maybe a few of the best opportunities. So the first problem everyone has right now is they're scared of getting canceled for opening their mouth and saying anything. It can be somewhat tame, the thing you may be able to say, um, and you know, you can get demonetized, de-reached, canceled, banned, wiped out. And people's past from 10 and 20 years ago are getting dragged out. So what this is creating is a lot of hesitance and reticence to put content out there and to speak your mind and be authentic. So I think in 2024, there's actually an opportunity for you to be bold, to be brave, to be authentic, to be your true self, um, while many people are just going to stop doing content altogether. Now, caveat, certain channels you don't want to kill. Um, my Facebook Lives go up and down like a horse draws, believe me. And I'm sure there's a few things I've said which, if I could have figured out what the algorithm would have done, I may not have said it, or I may have said it in a different way. But there are a few up-and-coming platforms where you have much more freedom of expression and speech and much more autonomy on how you earn. So I'll come to that in a minute. Okay, so number 1: big influencer sponsorship deals are dead. So these big influencers who used to get paid millions of pounds, they're dead now because so many people have got fake followers. They've bought a load of shitty followers. It's a big risk for companies. So what you're now finding is micro-influencers are winning. And this is good news for you. If you've just got a few followers or a few thousand, or you've got a small but loyal following, what brands are doing is they're stopping chucking millions at big companies and they're testing $2,000 here, $5,000 here, $10,000 here. Um, some of the sponsorships I'm doing are $5,000 initial test, and then we'll scale from there— $6,000, $10,000, $15,000. Whereas, what, 2 years ago I, I secured a $100,000 upfront sponsorship deal. So those of you that are smaller, there's actually a good opportunity for you now to get, um, sponsorship deals you might not have gotten before. And because people look at— are looking for niche following, not broad following. So that's good news. And next thing is short-form content is being disrupted heavily. So short-form content can kind of go viral. So, um, let me just give you a couple of little things that should be exciting for you. If you're new, don't have many followers, and the good news is you have as much chance of going viral as someone like me who has, what, 2.5 million followers. As someone who has 10 million followers. Why? Because the algorithm doesn't really care how many followers you've got. The algorithm cares what it cares about. It wants content that goes viral that it likes, that's good for sponsors and brands and advertisers. I've seen people go viral in their second video when it probably took me 3 years to go viral. Of course, viral is relative. If you've got 1 follower, for 5 views is viral. Um, I normally think 5 times your following or more is relatively viral, but you can start with virtually no followers on TikTok and Instagram Reels and Facebook Reels, and you can go viral much more quickly. Um, that being said, short form is much harder to monetize, so a lot of short form content is dying out, and long form content is definitely coming back with a vengeance because they can place a lot more ads in it. Essentially what these social media channels share is really based on the amount of ad revenue they can get. Okay, third thing is that Instagram is dying out. It's really struggling. Instagram doesn't know what it is. It's just copying everyone. It's copying TikTok. It's copying YouTube Shorts. It has no real identity. It doesn't know what it is, and it's definitely dying out. You get virtually no reach on Instagram Lives. It doesn't really push the content out. No one can really figure out what's going on with it. Um, and I'm going to give you a couple of solutions in a moment to that. And then the next one is the audio revolution. Do you remember Clubhouse and all these audio rooms on X, formerly known as Twitter, and on Facebook? And this was massive, and now this has just completely died. The reason it's died, I think, is because Clubhouse messed it up. Clubhouse didn't give people who'd put time in extra reach and following. So really, social media platforms should reward people who put more time and effort and energy and brought more people to the platform. They don't give a fuck about any of that. They just wiped the, um, the floor clean. And basically, um, they will make whoever go viral whenever, however, if they think that they can monetize it and advertise well on it, and if they think people want it. Which means you can hack virality way quicker than when I started, um, and you can turn on monetization tools and features much more quickly. Um, TikTok's monetization has changed and it's much better now. YouTube monetization is pretty good. Facebook Live and video monetization is much better. Um, so there's, there's some good upside opportunities in this as well. Now, um, a couple of things. Um, what you ideally want is an uncancellable channel that you control, that has really good virality, where you have the freedom to say what you want, where you can attract really good sponsors and advertisers, etc. And actually, probably one of the best of those, which just many people aren't really talking about, is podcasts. Because with podcasts, you control which sponsor you have, which advertiser you have, so there's not a lot of shit being, um, pumped on, on your channel. You can have it as long as you want, as frequent as you want, as infrequent as you want. Um, you have full autonomy. You can do as— the algorithm doesn't mess around, um, you know, with your content and de-reach it and shadow ban it and demonetize it. So podcasts are uncancellable. They have virtually the highest CPM ad revenue model out there, and it's probably one of the, the, the least well-leveraged content strategies. So if you'd like to turn content into cash flow, turn a podcast into profit, launch a podcast, maybe bag a 5-figure sponsor before you've even launched your show, and know that you can express yourself, be uncancellable, and you can control the brands and ads and, and the revenue. If you'd like to learn more about this, I'm actually doing a masterclass on this coming up in a few days' time. Type yes if you'd like access to this masterclass. Um, it's going to be free for you as a loyal follower of my work. If you want to turn content into cash flow, ideas into income, if you want to hit 10 grand a month on around about 10 hours a week, something like that, then just type yes, uh, in the comments. I'm going to share with you even more disruption and evolution of the personal brand— what's working, what's not working, what's easy, what's hard, what's quick, what's slow— having done this for 17 years, put tens of thousands of hours, millions of pounds in, and made tens of millions out. So just type yes in the comments if you'd like access to that. I'm actually going to share with you a quick link let me see if I can do this. It's tiny.cc/pod2024. I've got a special guest who owns a big media agency, um, he can help you get a 5-figure sponsor before you even start. You know, my sponsors pay me 10, 12, 30 grand fairly regularly. I'm able to choose the sponsors I want to go with. If I don't like trading platforms, don't have it. Um, if I like Athletic Greens, or if I like a gold, um, provider, or a watch dealer, or a certain internet provider, I can choose who I get. I can negotiate up. I can get a really high return on investment. So full control, full autonomy, uncancelable. And, and that's great. Look, I love YouTube, um, but YouTube is really hit and miss. I'll have 100,000 views and then 3,000 views and then a million views and then 5,000 views. They'll demonetize content randomly— well, I mean, randomly to me— and that can really kill the channel. Nothing can get demonetized, nothing can get canceled, nothing can get shadow banned on a podcast. So, um, it's definitely something that I would For you, for 2024, I would look at, um, how can you launch a podcast? How can you turn your content into cash flow? How can you turn what you already know into cash flow? How can you avoid wasting time on all these social media platforms, um, that aren't really giving you any back— anything back? Um, and I'm gonna do a deep dive live Q&A session and talk about the evolution of the personal brand for 2024. I'm going to bring a special guest in who's got probably one of the biggest podcast agencies in the country, and he's going to give you strategies and tactics to launch a podcast that, um, could help you go viral, could make 5 figures in your first sponsor before you even go live. Maybe you could earn 3 to 5 income streams from it. Maybe you could hit 10 grand a month in 10 hours a week. I'm going to cover all of this. So type yes if you'd like access to this. The link is tiny. Cc/pod2024. Um, I'm going to help you simplify turning content into cash flow. You know, the last thing you want to do is spend 6 hours a day posting across a zillion platforms. Which ones do you need to focus on? Which may be top 3, and the rest, which can you just bin? Um, how can you content repurpose so one long format could become 25 or 50 or 75 short formats. And this is something I'm doing a lot of, and so I'll share with you best practices on that as well. So, um, type yes in the comments if you'd like access to this. I've shared a tiny link if you want to quickly go and join now. If you want to make 2024 your biggest year where you want the maximum reach and leverage for the minimum time input, if you want multiple streams of online income with low overhead low to no stock holding, um, you know, maybe you want to quit your job in 3 months or 3 weeks or 6 months, uh, then definitely jump on this Content Into Cashflow Podcast Into Profits Masterclass. Um, if you type in tiny.cc/tiny.cc/pod2024 Um, I'm seeing a massive disruption in advertisers and sponsors and who they are and what they'll pay. I'm seeing a massive disruption in content in terms of what's going viral or not, what channels are growing and what are dying, and which are most easily cancelable and demonetizable, and which pay the most per thousand views or downloads. Um, and podcasts, one of the best out there, but it's actually one of the the least mature and most— and least leveraged. Therefore, I think it could be a big opportunity in 2024. Also be good to get to know you better. You can ask me any personal questions about your business and your brand and how you can scale for 2024 and how you can make $100,000 a year clear, how you can make $10,000 a month in 10 hours a week, etc. So it's all there. Um, cool. So quick summary, I think personal brands are dying and being disrupted in 2024. You can get canceled for anything, so you need to know what to say and what not to say and what platform to be on and what not to be on. Big influencer deals are dead. Massive sponsorships up front are dead. Short-form content is already dying because what these brands— TikTok and Instagram and Facebook and YouTube— are finding is they can't put enough ads on them. So, um, I think that what they're— I mean, TikTok are already looking to go to 15 minutes. I mean, TikTok, to go viral, you'd have to do 15 seconds. And now they're expanding out to 15 minutes because they want to be able to feed more ads in. And what I'm finding is my longer form content, maybe 1 hour or 2 hours, that's getting the most views and making the most money because they can feed 3 or 4 ads into that. Now normally I'm like, man, all this content is hard to do, but actually I can create one 2-hour piece in a week, um, and I could get 30 to 50 TikToks from that. I could get 30 to 50 Instagram Reels, Facebook videos, etc. So actually, you could be really smart, create one long-form piece and the maximum amount of revenue from it because YouTube can squeeze more ads into it. But you could create 2 or 4 weeks' worth of content from that one piece. So there's actually a really smart leveraged way to create content. And by the way, there's ways where you can spend 6 hours a day distracted and not really confused and overwhelmed. I'll show you some of my backend retention stats and, you know, what I earn on Facebook Lives and what I earn on TikTok videos and what I earn on YouTube. YouTube Lives. Um, and then I'll also share with you some elegant ways to grow the business, which doesn't necessarily look like it's high monetization or volume up front. How to get people onto your membership site, how to get people into your communities, how to get people onto your courses and your masterminds, how to use podcasts and social media as a great lead generator for your business to maximize sales. So look, loads to talk about on this. If you go to tiny.cc/pod2024, tiny.cc/pod2024, um, I'm going to share as much as I can and help you make 2024 your best year. Content into cash flow, what you already know into cash flow, ideas into income, and maybe you could hit 10 grand a month on 10 hours a week. Who knows, right? See you there. Thanks for tuning in. I wonder if you wouldn't mind sharing this, by the way. If you watch any of my lives, you're probably like, well, this is a bit weird. Sometimes I get notified of Rob going live, sometimes I don't. Um, sometimes his videos have got hundreds of thousands of views and sometimes it's got in the low thousands. The algorithm's definitely up to a lot of weirdness. So if you wouldn't mind sharing this if you find my content useful, and because obviously the more people I can reach, the more impact I can have, the more content I can share with you I like to do more of what works and less of what doesn't, and if you can share this, then basically I can give you more. So thanks for tuning in, and remember this: if you don't risk anything, you risk everything.
